I look over at Awenasa and she gives me a kind loving smile and kisses my lips. I take her hand and lean my head on her shoulder to close my eyes and try to relax. With both of them holding my hands and gently stroking to the top of my hand with their thumbs, I start to feel less panicked.
“Why are we going down instead of up?” I’m staring out the window completely confused. Awenasa smiles and kisses my lips. “You fell asleep, puppy. I sent the girls a text when we got in the air and they told me to let you sleep. You can text them when we’re off the plane.”
“Damn, I didn’t even realize I was sleeping. I’m sorry.”
“For what? You barely slept last night. You needed to sleep.”
I lean my head back and look over at Jaime, who is sitting with a book propped open on one leg and still has my hand in hers on her other leg.
“Hey.” She looks over with a small smile. “Hey. How are you feeling?”
“Ok. Sorry I wasn’t an entertaining flight companion.” She laughs and closes her book. “Entertaining isn’t always a good thing. I’d prefer you to sleep than to sit there looking like you’re going to jump from the plane to get back to your girls.”
“That’s funny. I actually told Sam and Awenasa on separate occasions that I’d jump out of a plane for them.”
“Then it’s a really good thing you passed out. You might be able to survive jumping off a shed, but you won’t survive jumping out of a plane.”
“How do you know about that?” She laughs and blushes a little bit. “I watched the videos on your channel. You know, so I can keep up with all of my students that follow you religiously.” I smile really big and laugh a little. “Uh huh, blame your students instead of admitting that you think I’m awesome.”
She laughs and blushes a deeper shade of red. I smile and look over at Awenasa, who is watching with an amused grin.
“Jaime’s a brat.” She smiles wider and asks, “Why’s that?”
“She watched our dances and didn’t even mention it. She must not have liked them.” Jaime smacks me hard on the arm, making me laugh hard and fall towards Awenasa for protection. “Yes, I did. They were incredible. You’re insane though. I can’t believe you just flew off that roof like that.”
“If you liked them, why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t want you to think I’m a weird groupie or something.” I laugh hard and Awenasa laughs a little as well. “I wouldn’t think my friends watching my videos are groupies. Have you seen all of my videos?” Jaime smiles, but doesn’t answer. “Damn groupie.” She laughs and smacks my arm again. “You’re the brat.”
“Yeah, but you think this brat is awesome, so it doesn’t matter.” She laughs and shakes her head. “You really did need that sleep. You’re much more like yourself now. That’s good.”
“We’re about to land.” I look over at Awenasa and pucker my lips. She gives me a soft kiss and smiles. “Are you excited?” She nods. “I am. Are you?”
“Yeah, for the most part. I’m trying not to focus on the length of time we’ll be away from our girls so I can try to enjoy it and not become obnoxious like Jaime said I was earlier.” Jaime smacks my arm again and Awenasa and I laugh. “I did not call you obnoxious, brat.”
“That’s right, you called me awesome.”
They laugh and Jaime releases my hand so she can put her book away. It takes about another twenty minutes before we’re stopped and told we’re allowed to stand and exit the plane. We retrieve our carry-ons from the overhead bin and then join the tightly bunching line of people trying to get off the plane. When we get to the terminal, the crowd is huge and moving in every direction, which starts to separate us. I quickly grab their hands and tug them in close so we can find the others.
“Baby sister, you look lost.” I turn around and Sara and the others are standing right behind us. “Hey, I was looking for you, creeper.” Sara smiles and jerks her head to the side, beckoning us to move. “Let’s go.”
We follow Sara and the others through the crowd, barely keeping up with them because there’s so many people that keep darting between us. When we get to baggage claim, it’s even worse. There’s so many people around the caravel, that there’s barely any visible gaps to get near it.
“You guys stay here. Kayla, let’s go get everyone’s shit.”
I look at Awenasa and Jaime and look around at the waves of people moving on all sides of us. Even if they stand perfectly still, I’m still concerned about them being separated, so I put their hands that I’m still holding in each other’s, making them hold hands. They smile in an amused affectionate way, making me blush.
Sara and I shoulder our way through the masses of tightly packed travelers and Sara wiggles her way up to the rotating belt to watch for our suitcases. One by one, she collects all of the suitcases, which I keep lined up next to me as she’s pulling them off. After we have all of them, Symone and Keira come over to help us carry and roll them over to our group.
We fight our way through the crowd and go towards the exits, where a few drivers are standing with tablets or pieces of paper with names on them. A tall blonde woman in a suit, tie, and drivers hat is holding up Sara’s name and she smiles as we approach her.
“Sara Johann?”
“That’s me.”
“Great. I’m Liz and I’ll be driving you this week.”
We follow Liz to a large black van parked outside and she helps us load all of our luggage in the back. Sara sits up front with the driver and the rest of us pack in on the two three-seater bench seats in the back. I’m not sure how it happened, because she was standing right next to me, but somehow, Jaime ends up in the first bench with Keira and Tonya, while I’m in the back in between Awenasa and Symone.
“The drive to Santa Monica will take about forty minutes. Are you ready?”
Sara looks back at us before answering Liz, and no one objects, so she tells her we’re ready. As we take off, I pull my phone out and send Shannon a text to let them know we’re here.
Shannon: Hey, sweetie. We miss you both too. Text or call us tonight when you’re back at the house and you’re able to talk. Try to put your phone away so you can enjoy the ride and experience.
Me: But I like talking to you.
Shannon: I know, sweetie. We’ll talk later. I love you very much and I want you to enjoy this trip as much as possible.
Me: You’re amazing. You’re all amazing. Give kisses to Sam and Madison for me and tell them I said to give you kisses from me too.
Shannon: You just made us smile really big. We love you, sweetie.
Me: I love you too, babies. Talk to you later.
I slip my phone back in my pocket and take Awenasa’s hand to hold in my lap.
“That was a fast conversation.”
“Yeah, Shannon told me I need to put my phone away and enjoy the experience. We’ll call them later.” Awenasa smiles and kisses my lips. “Ok.”
“Sara, what’s the agenda today?” Sara looks back at Symone with her phone pulled out. “We’ll have a few hours to get settled in at the house, then we have to go meet with Giz and the set director and producer to show them the choreography and go over the rehearsal and filming schedule.”
“So, we have time to go to the beach?” Sara looks at me and laughs. “Yeah, the house we’re staying in is only a few blocks from the beach.” I smile really big and look at Awenasa. “We’re going swimming, baby.” Awenasa smiles and giggles a little. “Ok, puppy.”
“Do you actually wear a bikini?” I look at Symone and laugh hard. “Are you nuts?” She smirks and quirks an eyebrow. “An old lady one piece?” I laugh and shake my head. “No.” Symone scrunches her eyebrows in confusion. “Then what the hell are you swimming in?”
“Long johns, of course. This body is a temple that can’t be seen by just anyone.” Everyone laughs hard and Symone looks around me at Awenasa. “What does she really wear?”
“A bikini top with board shorts.” Symone smiles and nods i
n an approving way. “That’s acceptable.”
“Thanks for your approval. What are you swimming in?” She grins and stares in my eyes. “Thong bikini.” My jaw drops and my face blushes beet red. She giggles and lifts my chin back up. “I’m just teasing. My ass will be covered.”
I shake my head and look away from her. Everyone is looking at me with amused smiles, making me blush so dark that I can feel the heat in my face. Everyone starts laughing at me, so I hide my face in Awenasa’s lap.
“Burying your face in your wife’s lap is one way to enjoy the drive, but I think Shannon meant to look out the windows.”
Everyone laughs again and I quickly lift my head. I smack Symone’s arm, making her laugh hard.
“I’m done talking to you.” Symone grins as she wraps her arms around me and firmly kisses my cheek. “I’m sorry, baby. I’ll behave now.” I pout and sit back, leaning in closer to Awenasa. “Whatever.”
The drive seems to fly by, and in no time, we’re unloading the van and walking into a really nice two story house with a very modern semi-open floorplan. The bottom level has two bedrooms, a very large bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. The top level is basically one big bedroom with a small dinette kitchen and a sitting area. Everyone insists that Sara and Keira should get the top level because Sara is the group’s leader.
One of the bedrooms on the bottom level has two full size beds and the other bedroom has a single queen size bed. This becomes a more difficult decision, because Symone and Jaime don’t want to stay in the same room together. Sara ends up making the decision for the rest of us and I can tell Symone’s not happy about it. Sara puts Awenasa and I with Jaime in the bedroom with two beds and Tonya and Symone have to share the bedroom with the queen size bed.
“Do you have a preference of which bed you want?”
Awenasa and I shake our heads and Jaime takes the bed closest to the window, leaving the one closest to the door for us. I drop the luggage and belly flop onto the bed. I release a small moan and nuzzle my face in the pillows.
“This bed is comfortable and smells good. It’s not as nice as our bed back home though. It doesn’t smell like my babies.” I sit up and smile. I leap for Awenasa and pull her down on the bed with me and rub the blankets all over her, making her and Jaime laugh. I smell the blanket again and smile. “That’s a little better.”
“You’re silly.”
I smile and firmly kiss her lips, before pulling her up again. We set our suitcases up on the bed and start looking for our bathing suits and beach towels.
“I guess we should go to the bathroom and change.” Jaime looks up from her suitcase and smiles. “I can turn around, Kayla. I won’t peek.”
“Ok.” I close and lock the door and Jaime smiles and sits on the bed with her back to us. “Just let me know when it’s safe to look.”
Awenasa and I start to strip down and I smile and try to control my desire to tackle my wife to the bed. She notices my smile and shakes her head in amusement and quietly kisses my lips. We slip into our bikinis, helping each other tie the tops in the back, then I put my board shorts on. Awenasa looks like a goddess in her black bikini that’s trimmed with a teal, bright royal blue, and hot pink geometric pattern. My bikini top is black and gray camo with matching shorts that come mid-thigh. Before I can get my tank top on and before Awenasa puts any overclothes on, she tells Jaime its clear. Jaime stands up and looks over with a smile.
“You both look cute.”
“Thank you. Are you ready for us to turn around?”
“Yes, please.”
We turn around and sit on the edge of the bed. I take Awenasa’s hand and kiss it, before I rest my head on her shoulder. I wish the others could be here, but I’m really happy right now.
“Ready.”
As we stand up and turn around, I feel my face get hot and my heartrate quicken. Jaime is standing at the end of the bed, slightly bent over her suitcase in just her bikini and she looks incredible. Her skin looks like smooth super light amber honey and she has a really nice shape. She’s built similar to Sam, but she has a little more muscle to her. Her bikini is a cute mixture of neutral and vibrant color paisleys and flowers. It looks really nice with her skin and hair tones. Jaime looks fantastic in neutral tones and gold.
After we put some overclothes on, we load up a bookbag with our towels, phones, and wallets. I put the bookbag on, but then stop.
“Wait, you didn’t give me any sunblock to pack.” Jaime smiles and shakes her head. “I can use the color.”
“Uh, no. Your skin is too fair to go without something. You’ll burn and that’s not the kind of color you want.”
“Well, I didn’t bring any.” I give her a stern look and leave the room. “Did anyone bring sunblock?”
Everyone is standing in the kitchen area and they shake their heads and say they didn’t bring any.
“Ok, we need to find someplace on the way to beach to buy some.” Sara looks at me confused because she knows I don’t wear any. We don’t burn – we just tan. “When did you start using sunblock?”
“It’s not for me. It’s for Jaime.”
“Kayla, I’ll be fine without it.”
“No. Your skin tone is too similar to Shannon’s and Sam’s and they burn easily. You’re putting something on.” Everyone looks at me with raised eyebrows. “What?”
“She’s an adult. If she wants to burn, then let her.” I look at Symone and inhale deeply, trying to control my frustration. “No. Are you guys ready?”
The walk is pretty nice. It’s a beautiful day and the area we’re staying looks like a very high end neighborhood. The last block before we hit the beach, Symone gently tugs on my ponytail. She looks slightly pained or disgusted.
“What’s up?”
“There’s a pharmacy over there.” She nods just down the block we’re about to pass and I smile at her. “Thanks.”
She shrugs a shoulder and gives me a small smile. Everyone detours to the pharmacy and we end up buying a bunch of snacks in addition to the sunblock and Aloe Vera gel that I know Jaime will end up needing, even with the sunblock.
We find a good spot on the beach and we just stand and stare at the water for a minute. It’s beautiful. We lay our towels out and then everyone starts stripping down. I grab the bottle of sunblock and pull on Jaime’s hand.
“Come here, I’ll do your back and then you can do everywhere else.” I squirt the lotion in my hand and Symone looks over at me with agitation. “Why didn’t you just buy the spray kind? It’s easier and less messy.”
“Because it doesn’t really cover well. Sam and Shannon burn worse with the sprays than with the lotions.”
I start rubbing the lotion over Jaime’s back and Symone walks away looking pissed off. I rub the lotion over her gently at first to coat her back and then start working on rubbing it in. My right thumb glides over a knot in her shoulder and she releases a small sound.
“You have a really bad knot right there. That’s not good for the moves you need to do in your routine.”
“I’ll be ok.”
I drop my hands and pull her over to my towel, next to where Awenasa is sitting waiting for me. I sit down and tug on Jaime’s hand.
“Sit. You can’t dance with a knot like that in your shoulder.” She blushes some and shakes her head. “Don’t shake your head at me. Sit down.”
Jaime exhales in a defeated way and sits down in front of me. I stretch out my legs on either side of her and scoot in closer so I can reach better to rub her shoulders. I feel around with my thumbs and fingers and then start working on areas that feel tense and knotted. Jaime’s head droops some and she releases small quiet moans while I work over her back.
I spend several minutes on her shoulders and then glide my thumbs and the heel of my palms down the center of her back on either side of her spine. Her back arches some and she grabs my legs next to her. Her lower back feels really tense too, so I press into her lower back and press out
to her hips.
After I’ve worked the knots out of her shoulders and loosened the rest of her back, Jaime leans back into me, so I rest my hands on the towel at my sides.
“Thank you. I really needed that.”
“You’re welcome. Does it feel better?”
“A lot better. It felt amazing.”
“Good. Now, you need to finish putting sunblock on.” She laughs a little and turns to look at me with a smile. “You really are adamant about that sunblock.”
“Yes, because I know how painful it is for my girls when they burn. Here.”
I hand her the bottle and she smiles, kisses my cheek, and slowly stands up, being careful not to put her ass in my face in the process. Tonya, Sara, and Keira are down at the water already, but are just standing around talking with their feet in the water. Symone is sitting on a towel next to me and looks doubtful and insecure.
“Why are you giving me pouty eyes? Do you need a massage too?”
Symone immediately brightens up and actually stands up and sits down in front of me. I look at Awenasa and she looks like she’s trying not to laugh. I shake my head and start working my hands over her back. Symone is actually very tense, but it’s probably because of her frustration with Jaime being here.
Symone has a really nice strong back. Her muscles are long and defined, but not in an unattractive masculine way. It’s probably because she pole dances. I’ve never done it and hope to never do it, but I’ve heard it takes a lot of back strength, especially for the skill level Symone is at.
I spend at least ten or fifteen minutes massaging her entire back before she finally leans back into me, to signal I can stop. She leans her back against my chest and looks over her shoulder at me with a cute grin.
“Thank you. You have really strong hands. I usually have to have a man massage my back to be able to feel it. But yours felt amazing.” I look at my hands and laugh. “Damn, are you saying I have man hands?” She laughs and kisses my cheek. “No, you have nice hands.” She looks in my eyes in a meaningful way, making me blush beet red. “Ok, get your ass out from between my legs. You’re embarrassing me.”
