Building the Life (The Dancing Wolf Book 3) Page 30

I pull Awenasa and Jaime up with me, and walk them back to the bedroom. I close the door and pull both of them into a tight hug and just hold them for a minute. I pull back and look at Jaime.

“Do you wish you didn’t accept the offer to come out here?” Jaime smiles and shakes her head. “No, I’m glad I came. We have a lot of work to do, but I think we can do this. I’ve worked with some of the best dancers in the country, and honestly, Kayla, you have a natural talent and instinct that I’ve never seen before. You are also the best lead I’ve ever worked with. I don’t know how you do it, but I always know what you want me to do.”

“You’re not afraid of them asking us to do something weird or disrespectful?”

“I really don’t think they’ll push that too far. One, because you’re married to a woman and in a very controversial type of relationship and lifestyle with three others. And second, because a same gender dance couple is also very controversial. They’ll get major buzz because of us, but not all of it will be good. I don’t think they’d risk being too provocative and risk losing their audience and sponsors.”

“I hope you’re right. Baby, before we call the others, what do you think about this?” Awenasa smiles and kisses my lips. “I think it’s worth having the conversation with Russel Stone to see what the expectations would be.”

“Ok, let’s call our girls to see how they feel about this.”
