She sighed, “Really, Black Reign? And you couldn’t have come to me and talked about that?”
I shrugged, “Honestly, I been feeling some type of way for a minute. I aint like how you handled a few situations, but it was all regarding me and Kaydoa. So, after that last situation I felt like I understood yo position better.”
She frowned, “And what’s my position, since you know what’s in my head.”
“You gon rock with whoever ya cousin with.”
She widened her eyes, “Girl, you know how crazy you sound? You been my fuckin’ friend since elementary. I don’t rock with Farrah’s ass like that. But she was with Kaydoa first, Black Reign. I’m the one that gotta hear it from my mama and auntie when I don’t wanna participate in family functions, because she organized them. Sometimes I feel caught in the middle, because you my friend, but Kaydoa is my cousin. But if it ever comes down to it, I’ma ride with my girl. Now, as far as the club situation…that’s my bad. I was tripping, because my nigga was stepping out with these hoes. I was going through it, and took my frustrations out on you. I didn’t mean none of that shit. Honestly, I know Kaydoa is crazy about yo ass. I know that if I don’t know shit else.”
“Whatever,” I tried not to blush.
“Bitch, look at you, blushing and shit,” she teased. “You forgive me, friend? I miss you,” she pouted.
“Shut up, hoe. I guess I can forgive ya ass.”
“Aww,” she cooed, pulling me into her arms. “I love you, girl.”
“Man,” I stressed. “Go’on with that friendly shit.” I pushed her off me.
“Aww, baby, don’t be that way,” she taunted. “I bet if I was Kaydoa you’d be with it. Let’s just keep it in the family.”
“Fuck you,” I giggled, as she threw a arm over my shoulder. “Now, let’s go fuck with these lames.”
I nodded, as we made our way over to Lil Hurt, and Kaydoa. They were both rocking that green, but Kaydoa looked exceptionally good. Rocking a green snap back, a green and yellow jersey, light blue denim Robin’s, and green and yellow Forces, topped off with a tropical fruit loop toned thick chain around his neck, he was shining.
“Aww, Kaydoa, you and ya boo came dressed alike.” Monay blurted.
I playfully pushed her. “Bitch, stop playing with me.”
Instead of laughing with us, Kaydoa was grilling the hell out of my ass. “Where you was at last night, Jasmine?”
I snaked my neck, “Is this question pertaining to business?”
“Hell yeah,” he stepped to me. “The fuck you was at?”
I threw my hands on my hips. “Why Kaydoa?”
“Where the fuck you was?” he growled, leaning his body weight on me.
I fell out laughing. “My nigga, is you serious? I aint ya bitch. Or did you forget?”
“Keep playing wit me,” he warned, as he hemmed me up against a huge loadbearing pole on the court.
“You better quit. Your bitch gon go crazy on yo ass,” I joked, as he called himself roughing me up.
“Who was you wit?” he gritted, pulling my hair. “You was out there fucking around?”
I scrounged. “That’s none of ya business.”
He nodded. “I’ma show you what aint my business.”
“Get out my face,” I waved my head. Our mouths were so close that we might as well been kissing.
“I aint going nowhere,” he growled with fire in his eyes.
“Oh yeah,” I lifted both brows. “You mean that?”
His eyes dropped down to the ground, and then slowly focused back on me. “With everything in me.”
I shuttered as his words caused a chill to crawl up my spine.
“Really, Kaydoa?” Farrah stood behind us, killing all highs.
“Let me go,” I shoved him back, but he didn’t budge.
“Remember what the fuck I said,” he gritted, before slowly backing away.
“Nigga, I know you aint over here disrespecting me?!” she raged, causing me to roll my eyes. She sounded so damn crazy.
“Girl, the fuck you talking about?” he scowled.
I was about to bow out gracefully, until she gave me the stank face. Fuck it. It was whatever, and that meant that anything goes. This nigga wasn’t gonna continue to have his cake and eat it too. He was gonna have to choose, and I was gonna make it where he had no choice in the matter.
“Kaydoa, you got the key to Uncle Ben’s house? I need to go get something.” I lied.
He glanced at me, giving me a weird look. “Yeah.”
Without warning, I stuck my hand into his pocket. “Is it right here?” I dug around.
“Nah,” he waved his head. “The other one.”
Truly not giving a fuck, I dug in his other pocket, and his ass let me.
“Hell, fucking no,” Farrah lost it, pushing me back.
“The fuck is your problem?” I snarled.
She smiled awkwardly, “Must I remind you that Kaydoa is my man!”
“Is that right?” I grinned, looking at Kaydoa. I gave strong consideration into exposing his ass. Shit, I never signed up to lie for him. This bitch needed her bubble burst. “You her man, Kaydoa?”
Lifting his hand, he drug it over his mouth. “Jasmine,”
“Jasmine, what?” I arched my brows. “Are you her man? It’s a simple question.” I folded my arms. I glanced around, and realized all eyes were on us.
Farrah grew balls the size of Texas. “Either way, why are you worried about it?”
I put my hand in her face. “Bitch, I wasn’t talking to you.”
“But I was talking to you!” she shouted, turning beet red. “You must think I’m scared of you, but you got me fucked up!”
“Nobody said you was scared!” I barked. “But, bitch, you better calm that shit down!” I clapped my hands.
“Uh, is there a problem?” Ryah made her way over to us.
I waved a hand. “I got it.”
“Who the hell are you supposed to be?” Farrah rolled her eyes.
Before I could do anything about it, my sister had pieced her ass up. Farrah took two blows, and to the ground she went.
“Dammmmn!” Lil’ Hurt howled, after Ryah laid Farrah out.
Ryah was about to stomp her ass, but I grabbed her. “You got that. That’s enough,” I spoke into her ear.
“That’s right,” her crazy ass nodded. “Cause you my muthafuckin’ sister, and aint nobody gon fuck with you!” she carried on, eyeing Kaydoa.
Instead of Kaydoa helping his bitch off the ground, he stood there bickering with my sister. “Ryah, who the fuck you referring that shit to? Cause aint nobody gon fuck with her, while I’m here, either.”
“That’s right, nigga,” she nodded again. “So, we on the same muthafuckin’ page,” she dapped him up.
I gave the both of them the side eye. I know my sister had been drinking quite a bit, but I guess that Kaydoa’s lean had begun to set in. Ole boy was on one, while his broad crawled to her feet.
“You ugly bitch!” Farrah roared, charging at Ryah. Kaydoa caught her dumb ass just in time.
“This shit is hilarious,” I giggled. “Girl, you’s a muthafuckin’ fool.”
“No, bitch, you the fool! The last time I checked you was the sideline hoe! Fucking him aint gonna make him leave, bitch!”
“And pitying you aint gonna make him stay!” I got in her face, while he held her back. “You’s a stupid hoe…but I been letting you make it. Cause I was stupid right along with you, but Black Reign aint no nigga’s fool.” I glared at Kaydoa. “This nigga was actually both of our man, but no more,” I waved my head. “I’ma let you have this shit. But you remember the key word, bitch. I let you.” And with that I stepped to other end of the court.
Kaydoa
This shit was crazy. Farrah and Jasmine had really showed their asses. All eyes were on us, as Farrah got her ass handed to her. Honestly, her ass needed that. She was always so quick to put her hands on me, because she knew that I wasn’t
gonna hurt her. Ryah showed her ass that wasn’t shit sweet. It was one-on-one, so that fight was on them. Ryah was Jasmine’s sister, which made her fam. That means that I wasn’t on no bodies’ side. This was the hood, and Farrah had to fight her own battles.
“I wanna kill them bitches,” Farrah fumed, as she stood right next to me. Everybody else was too busy laughing at her ass.
I sucked my teeth. “Man, chill out. Go sit in the car for a lil’ while,” I patted my pockets for my keys, before I realized Jasmine had ‘em.
“Go sit in the car for what?” Farrah got all in my face. “That bitch said that we was sharing you.”
I bucked my eyes, “So, you aint know we was fucking?”
“Ooh, now you wanna keep it real? What was all that shit about it being about business?”
I scrounged, “I’m not about to stand here and have this conversation. The fuck out my face.” I stomped off. Scanning the crowds, I searched around for Monay and Jasmine. I was beginning to believe that her messy ass had really left and hit up Uncle Ben’s, until I spotted them.
She must’ve been feeling herself, as she danced all nasty and shit. Rihanna’s voice blasted through the speakers, encouraging her to cut up. “Tonight I’ma give it to ya harder. Tonight I’ma turn ya body out. Relax, let me do it how I wanna. If you got it. I need it, and I’ma put it down…” She whined those hips, being overly sexual.
Before I could make my way over to them, Tuka stepped to Jasmine. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and whispered something into her ear. I paused just for a second, wanting to see how far she was gonna let the shit go.
It wasn’t long, before she was pulling away from him, waving her head. Obviously, his bitch ass couldn’t take rejection, because he’d stepped in her face, and was loud talking. “Bitch, you trying to be all high and mighty. But just last year, you was the same hoe, riding this dick every day. I put you and that lil bitch ass nigga on!”
Without hesitation, I snatched my pistol from the back of my jeans. Wearing a scowl on my face, I stomped over to his fraud ass.
“Nigga, fuck you with yo broke ass! The fuck I look like fucking with you? You talking all that shit, but now who you copping from? Matter of fact, you will never eat with me again. Your bullshit ass money aint good with me. Cause you’s a fuck nigga!”
“Bitch, suck my dick!” he seethed.
Before Jasmine could respond, I shoved her back. I never uttered a word, as I flipped my gun, and slammed it across his face.
“Aww!” he howled, as I smashed my pistol across his head again and again.
“Kaydoa, that’s enough!” Jasmine screamed. “The laws are gonna come! Let it go!”
Realizing that she was right, I backed up as that nigga laid sprawled out on the pavement. “Come on,” she handed me my car keys. “Let’s go.”
Without thinking, I grabbed her hand, and together we headed to my car. I didn’t know where Farrah was, and I really didn’t give a fuck. Me and Jasmine hopped into my slab, and then we pulled out into traffic.
“This been one crazy ass day,” she sighed, as she gazed out of the window.
I breathed. “Tell me about it.”
“Yeah,” she bit her bottom lip, before glancing my way. “You and ya bitch gon have some problems tonight.”
I frowned. “I aint worried about her, or shit she got to say.”
She pursed her lips, “Whatever.”
I cut my eyes at her. “What’s up with this fucking attitude?”
She stared at her thighs, as she waved her head. “Because you need to know,” she looked up at me. “Aint shit changed.”
“And what the fuck does that mean?”
“It means that I’m done fucking with you.”
“Man,” I snarled. “Jasmine, don’t start that bullshit right now. I’m not in the mood.”
“Do it look like I give a fuck?!” she snapped. “I am not that bitch you just left back at the park,” she clapped her hands dramatically. “That’s her if she wants to put up with whatever just because you breakin’ bread. You so damn stupid,” she screamed. “Aint no way in hell I’d want a bitch that lets me walk all over her. Either that bitch is extremely gullible, or she got a few screws missing. That shit must turn you on to have a fool that will deal with anything, just to go on a shopping spree!”
Frustrated, I belted, “What the fuck do you want me to do?!”
She was damn near foaming at the mouth. “If I gotta tell you, then I don’t want shit! Pull over, and let me outta this muthafucka!”
“I aint doing shit!”
“Let me out of here!” she lost it, kicking my fucking dashboard. Her crazy ass grabbed my steering wheel, and that’s when I threw my car into park in the middle of the street, holding up traffic. Before I could react, she jumped out of the car.
I did the same, and stalked over to her side. “What the fuck is wrong with you?!”
“Nigga, I aint about to argue with you. Choose Kaydoa!” she stepped to me, putting a nigga on the spot. When I didn’t respond, she waved her head. “Exactly,” she spat, as she stormed off.
People honked their horns, as I stood there with both hands on the back of my head. My heart was racing, as I watched her walk down the street, back towards the park. I was mad as fuck…at myself. Feeling like I was about to lose my fucking mind, I reached back and smashed out my own passenger’s window.
Chapter 11
Kaydoa
“Nigga, pass me the blunt,” Hurt complained, as we sat on my couch at the crib. We was playing NBA Live, and getting fucked up.
“Quit, whining, nigga,” I took another toke off the weed.
“Shit,” he texted on his phone. “I’m about to go in minute. You being stingy wit ya kush, and wifey say she already got a fat one rolled for me, anyway.”
“Yeah, okay, nigga. I see you been running after Monay lately. Seems to me she got you pussy whipped.”
He shrugged, “Nigga, me and you different. I’m not in denial about what it is. She aint in her position for nothing.”
“Yeah, okay,” I sighed.
“But yeah, before I burn, I been meaning to ask you. You putting in on the gift for Black Reign’s graduation present?”
I cut my eyes at him, causing him to chuckle.
“Ooh, okay, you getting your own gift for her, huh?”
I didn’t bother to reply.
“Ay, I was just asking, because I know that you and her aint been on the best of terms.”
Still, I said nothing. It was true. For a month now, Jasmine hadn’t been fucking with me. Yeah, I saw her every day, and as far as I knew she wasn’t dealing with another nigga. But her stubborn ass wasn’t giving me the booty, either. A few times I wanted it so bad that I thought about hemming her ass up, and just taking it. That was my pussy, anyway. And on another note, I was damn proud of her. Against the odds, she’d went ahead and earned that diploma, so yeah, I had my own gift to give her.
“And…you going to the graduation?” he pried.
Again, I just shrugged.
“Nigga, you wanna be all hush mouthed, and shit. But it’s cool. I’m out.” he dapped my fist.
“Alright, my nigga,” I nodded, as I stood up to lock the door behind him.
“See ya tomorrow,” he called out, as he traveled down the sidewalk. Closing the door, I locked up. As soon as I turned around, I was face to face with Farrah. As usual she was all frowned up.
Sometimes I had to question why she stayed with me. I hadn’t shown her any signs of a commitment. We basically shared a space, but I did whatever I wanted, and there wasn’t shit she could do to stop it. Really, I was tired of the whole situation. The whole fucking and fighting thing was getting old, and it had been a minute since I’d had a legitimate happy moment with her.
“We need to talk,” she sighed.
“What’s up?” I casually asked, as I sat right back in my spot on the couch. With her hands on her hips, she came and stood right in front of me, b
locking my view of the TV.
“I heard you and Lil’ Hurt talking.”
“And?” I furrowed my brows.
“And, I heard him trying to get you to go to Black Reign’s graduation.”
“Farrah, don’t start…”
“No,” she interrupted me. “You don’t start. Yeah, I know that yall hustle together, but you and me both know that shit is deeper than that. Kaydoa, I need to know that whatever you had with her was nothing.”
I frowned. “And how could I possibly make that happen?”
“Show me that you’re my man, and keep it strictly business.”
I squinted. “Man, what the hell are you talking about?!”
“I’m saying…stay the fuck away from that graduation…unless you coming there with me to watch Lola walk across that stage,” she demanded, referring to her sister who went to school with Jasmine.
“Wait, let me get this straight. You standing there, telling me, a grown ass man, what to do?”
“I’m saying, respect me, Kaydoa!”
I stood up. “But I’ma do whatever the fuck I wanna do.”
“So, fuck how I feel, right?”
I waved my head, “Hey, if that’s how you wanna take it.”
She snarled, “But let me tell you this. If you show up to that graduation on that bitch’s behalf it’s fucking over, and I mean that, Kaydoa.”
Nodding, I stepped around her, and headed to our bedroom. “I mean that shit, Kaydoa!” I heard her shout. Nixing her off, I flopped onto the bed. I wasn’t thinking about her nagging ass, as I drifted off to sleep.
Black Reign
I stood gazing in the mirror. It was almost hard to believe that I was standing there in my cap and gown, set to walk across the stage. I was actually graduating. I smiled, thinking that I was so close to dropping out. I wasn’t the best student, and school was so boring. But Kaydoa pushed me to finish, and I loved him even more for that. Sometimes I was left clueless as to who he wanted more, but I knew wholeheartedly that he cared about me.
He had me so conflicted, but I had to press on. It was hard, but I’d kept my word, and wasn’t fucking with him. I just wasn’t built to be number two. Still, I was grateful for the role he played in my life.
