Paul laid his hand on his father’s hand and squeezed it gently.

  “Now, Magnuson. Do it.”

  “Do what?”

Chase Logan grabbed hold of Paul Logans hand and squeezed firmly. Magnuson covered his hand in Chase’s blood and grabbed hold of both Chase and Paul’s hands. He chanted something in a language Paul couldn’t understand. Both his hands and his dad’s hands glowed in a purple light. As Paul died, so did the purple glow. Paul couldn’t let go. His father had been taken from him twice in his life now and the heartbreak paralyzed him. Tears welled up and overflowed down his cheeks. The tears fell onto his father’s face and washed away the blood a drop at a time.

Magnuson laid his hand on Paul’s shoulder to comfort him. “We have to go, Paul. They’ll be coming for you now. There’s no reason for you to die, too. It’s not what your father wanted for you.”

“No. You’re right. We should go.” Paul picked his father up off the table and turned to Magnuson. “My father deserves a proper burial.”

  “Yes, he does, my friend.”

Magnuson opened a portal, and he and Paul stepped through.

  Coming Soon

Coming soon from Stefan Lear is a novel about a serial killer that has never been caught. Seventeen people have died grisly deaths, and the killer can't be stopped. When the drug dealing filth who corrupted his sister return to town, he’s faced with two options. Risk capture or let the low-lifes slip through his fingers forever.

The stories that I create are dark in nature. Foolhardiness is now mixed with that love of the grotesque and the terrible which has made my career a series of quests for strange horrors in literature and in life. I live in the shadows of the land between dark and light. Without light, there is no darkness, and without you I can't be me. So grab one of my books, sit back, and let's play. Your demons are welcome in my hell.
