“Let’s swim,” Mick says.
“OK, I have to go put my suit on I’ll be back.”
Inside my bedroom, I take off my clothes and wiggle into the suit. It hardly covers anything. Blushing, I grab the wrap I bought with it, and pull it over my head. Adjusting it, I walk over to the mirror, looking down at myself I don’t look too bad. Going to the bathroom, I grab a couple of towels and head downstairs.
Walking into the great room, I see a fire is going. Looking at the package that is still sitting on the couch, I run my fingers over it; I’ll read this later tonight. I still have no clue what my mom would send me. She has never done this before. Walking out to the patio, I can’t believe my eyes. The pool is lit up with a soft glow. Looking at the waterfall, it has lights under it pointing up, so it shimmers. Hearing a splash, I see Mick dive in and swim the length of the pool until he surfaces at my feet. Looking down at him, he slowly raises up out of the water. Staring at his chest my eyes try to go lower, but the water is blocking my view. Hearing a laugh, I dart my eyes to meet his.
“Come in it’s great,” Mick says. I turn and walk to a chair, setting down the towels. I slowly lift the cover off of me. Fixing my suit, I turn around. Mick is staring open-mouthed. Blushing, I slowly walk forward to the edge of the pool. Slowly grinning, I clear my throat. Mick looks away quickly. I dive into the pool and do the same as he did, swimming to the other side and coming up right in front of the waterfall. Treading water, I look around for Mick. Not seeing him anywhere, I look into the waterfall, and he jumps out at me. I go under the water. Coming back up, I cough a bit. Mick has a look of concern on his face. My heart starts to beat faster because of the way he’s looking at me. Grabbing me around the waist, he pulls me closer to him.
“Hey, are you OK?”
Smacking him on the shoulder, I say, “Yeah, I’m OK, but you scared the shit out of me.”
Rubbing where I hit him, I can see he’s trying not to laugh. “I’m sorry, Spring,” he says. Pushing away from him, I swim behind him. Jumping on his back, I try to dunk him under—it doesn’t work, and he ends up tossing me over his shoulders. I feel hands at my waist, pulling me up. I smack into something hard—his body. Breaking the surface, I’m right up against him. I’m breathing hard from holding my breath. Taking my hands, I place them on his shoulders. Mick is laughing so hard that his whole body shakes.
“Ah, Mick?” I ask, blushing. After he’s done laughing, he finally looks down at me in his arms.
“What’s up? Can’t play with the big boys?”
“Well, I can, but I’m losing my top,” I say, laughing. I feel him stiffen up; Mick looks down grinning. “Hey, hey, eyes up here, big man,” I say, laughing. His eyes make it to mine, and he doesn’t look anywhere else.
He holds me closer. Looking at his lips, I know what I want. Leaning in a little he meets me the rest of the way. His lips are gentle at first, teasing even. He pulls me closer. Winding my arms around his neck, I hold on tight. His hands have a mind of their own, as one wraps around my waist, the other tangles in my hair.
Chapter 9
Moaning, I wrap my legs around his waist; he breaks off the kiss to trail his hot tongue down my neck where he sucks gently then nips me. The little bit of pain shoots tingles through my body. Making his way back up to my mouth, I look into his eyes—they are the bluest I’ve ever seen they almost glow. His lips capture mine but this time rougher. Opening my mouth a little is all the invitation he needs. His tongue clashes with mine warring with each other in a battle that can’t be won. Hearing a noise behind me, I stiffen up, getting that weird feeling again. Mick breaks the kiss but doesn’t let go of me, if anything he holds me tighter.
I start to shake against him, closing my eyes I feel evil, there are eight people here watching us. What the hell?
Mick looks me in the eyes—I see anger and fear for me. Moving slowly toward him with a smile on my face, I nip his ear and whisper, “Eight.” He tightens his hold on me, and I know he’s heard me.
“Well, well, Spring. I thought I was the one for you.” I’d know that voice anywhere.
“Fuck off, Maddox, why would I want an evil bastard like you?” I sneer. I hear laughing behind us somewhere. “You bring your lap dogs with you?” I ask. Mick tenses up a little, squeezing me.
“Now, now, Spring. I have you guys surrounded. Why don’t you come out and talk to me like a good little girl?” he sneers.
“She’s not going anywhere with you, Maddox,” Mick growls. Shifting, he puts his back to Maddox shielding me. I know what I’m to do, I feel it in my bones.
“Mick, it’s eight to one, you want to go down that road again? Besides, this is her destiny.”
“Let go, Mick. Pick your fights, and this one isn’t it,” I whisper to him. Looking at him, I see the shock on his face, and I know what he sees—my eyes have gone red. I blink, and they go back to normal. Can’t let all my secrets out. His hands slowly let go, I can tell he’s struggling with it. But I also know he must obey me.
I don’t know how I know, but I just do.
“Don’t do this, Spring, you are not ready, nor do you know all that’s going on,” he pleads with me.
Touching his face with my fingertips, I say, “I know I just have this feeling.” I push away from him, grabbing the strings of my top to tie them as I walk to the steps, slowly walking out of the water I walk right over to Maddox. I don’t back down.
“Smart girl,” Maddox murmurs. He reaches out and runs his finger down my cheek, trailing a hot line to my neck, still going further, to my shoulder, then his fingers turn and trail between my breasts all the way down to my bikini bottom and stops, slowly placing his hand on my wrist. I don’t move and let him play his little game. But Mick growls and jumps out of the pool and starts to run to me. Maddox’s guys have a tough time stopping him, they fight, and I see four of them go flying. They finally get Mick under control. Wiping the tear from my face, I look him in his eyes, and they are glowing.
“Now where were we, Spring, ah yes I was feeling you up. Let’s play a game every time you tell me no, I will hurt him.” He snickers. He grabs me, turning me around, so my back is pressed hard against him.
“OK, let’s start, did you know that he is your subject, he serves only you,” Maddox tells me. He slowly takes his hand from my shoulder and gradually moves to my breast, stiffening up I step away from him.
“Tsk, tsk, cut him,” he tells the guy holding him, “Don’t move when I touch you, Spring, it gets him hurt. Now unless you move because you like it, then by all means,” Maddox says.
“Fuck you, Maddox,” I sneer. He grabs my chin hard to that. I can’t look away when they cut Mick across his chest. He never cries out, but I see him tense up. He keeps his eyes on mine never looking elsewhere. Maddox starts again, trailing his hand down to my breast but this time he leaves his hand there, while he says.
“Do you know that you are a Queen? Hmm? Your life is not your own. You serve the people.” Still looking at Mick, I want him to say something that everything Maddox is saying is wrong that it is a lie. Maddox must know what I’m thinking.
“Please tell her, am I lying or not?” he asks Mick. Watching him, I see tons of emotions cross his face.
“He’s telling the truth.” He never looks away from me.
“You know, I mean I love you, touching me and all,” I say sarcastically, “but what is it you want, Maddox? Do you want to sleep with me? A blowjob maybe?”
I don’t see it coming; his fist flies out connecting with my jaw. Taking my hand, I touch where he’s hit me. “Well, buddy, you can count out a BJ,” I say, laughing. Trying to get up, I make it to my hands and knees. Looking at Mick, he’s biting back a smile. I’m so glad he thinks this is funny. Shaking my head, I stand up looking right at Maddox, waiting for him to talk.
“I want you to drink my blood, Spring, and then we will leave,” Maddox says.
“Noooo,” Mick roars. He starts to struggle with the guys, and
they are not playing anymore. They have stabbed him, four or five times I lose count,
“Stop,” I yell. Maddox nods and they stop, looking behind me, Mick is now being held up by the guys no longer being able to hold himself up.
“I will,” I say. Walking closer to Maddox, I can see triumph in his eyes. You might have one this round, but I promise I will kill him when I get the chance.
“Come here,” is all he says.
Moving closer he moves a piece of my hair out of my face, smacking his hand away, he chuckles. Watching him, he takes a knife out and cuts across his wrist; I watch as the blood starts to flow and drip down on the ground. He reaches his hand out for me to take. I think I’m going to gag. Grabbing his arm, I slowly bring it to my lips, taking a little lick of the blood, I feel him shiver, looking up into his eyes I wrap my lips around the cut. Sucking the blood in my mouth, I swallow it, it’s a shock to my system but in a good way. Sucking harder I want more, running my tongue over the cut I try milking it to give me more, but Maddox pulls his wrist away, leaving me panting on my knees. I hear him laughing, but everything is going fuzzy.
“I will see you soon, my love,” Maddox says, kissing me on my head. Looking around, I see everyone leaving. Behind me, Mick is crawling to me I meet him halfway, he wraps me in his arms and puts all his weight on me, almost knocking us down.
“Mick, we have to get inside,” I say. I can hear Tanner going crazy inside the house; I can also hear Storm kicking at his stall door like he’s trying to get out.
“Mick, did you hear me?”
“Yes, Spring, I heard you,” Mick murmurs. We slowly get up and make our way into the great room where we both tumble to the ground. Mick’s hurt badly. Making my way to the downstairs bathroom, I pull open the cabinets looking for a first-aid kit. Finding what I’m looking for, I run back into the great room to see that he’s propped himself up against the couch. Dropping to my knees, I set the stuff down. Pushing a piece of hair out of his face, he opens his eyes.
“Spring, I’m so sorry.”
Putting my fingers to his lips, I say, “Shhh, let me take care of you.” Grabbing the wet cloth, I start to clean his wounds. He puts his hands over mine, looking up to his eyes, I see him give me a sad smile.
“I’m dying, Spring, this won’t help,” he whispers.
“OK, I’ll call an ambulance they will get you to the hospital.
“You know that won’t work. Think, Spring, I can’t ask you for it, you are my Queen. Maddox was not lying. You will start to change faster now that you took Maddox’s blood,” he whispers. His eyes close. Looking at my hands, I don’t know what to do. He told me to think. Closing my eyes, I start to relax.
I see this beautiful lady standing with all these men and women bowing to her. They are chanting “My Queen, my Queen.” A little girl runs up to her not caring what’s going on around her. The lady bends down to listen to the little girl, then she straightens up and grabs the little girl’s hands. They run together into this huge house. I follow them to see what’s going on. As I enter the house, I see four angels standing around the one that is hurt on the ground. The Queen bends down and says something to him, and he nods. She offers him her neck it looks very intimate.
Mick needs my blood. The Queen before me looks at me. “If you offer your blood to your warrior, you will become bonded forever, young Spring, you will always feed him, service him,” she says with a wink. “You will share each other’s feelings.”
“I can’t let him die, and I like him anyways,” I say to her. She starts laughing.
“You will have four warriors to you, Spring; you will never be bored. You will feed on all of them as they will you. You will have sex with them all, sometimes more than one at a time if you like that thing. They will always protect and serve you. There is nothing greater of honor to do that. If you only heal him, there will be no bonding.”
Opening my eyes, I look down at Mick. Shaking him gently, he opens his eyes. Straddling him, I bend down to his ear.
“I will freely give you what you need; will you accept it,” I whisper. I feel him tense up under me; I also feel his hard-on growing.
“Are you sure, Spring, do you know what that will mean for us, for you?” he asks. Nodding, I move my hair away from the side of my neck. I feel him tremble under me.
“I don’t know what to do,” I whisper. Mick gently runs his hand through the side of my hair and gently pulls me to him so that my neck is near his mouth. He kisses me and then runs his tongue down my neck. I feel sharp teeth scratch my neck. Feeling his mouth open, he bites down his fangs piercing my neck. I tense as the pain washes through me. Holding his head to my neck, I hope it lets him know I’m OK. He gently starts to suck the blood coming from me, feeding him, healing him. The pain has gone away as another feeling washes over me. Desire hits me with an aggressive punch. I hear him growl and he slowly thrusts his hips up to meet me. I can feel myself getting wet. I rub against him. I’ve never been this turned on before.
Running my hand down between us, I slide my hand under his shorts, wrapping my hand around his dick, I tug a little bit. Hearing him growl I start to rub him up and down. He breaks away from my neck licking the punctures. He grabs my hand, so I stop moving. Looking him in the eyes, I bring my lips to his, nipping at his bottom, running my tongue over his lip, he opens and lets me in. His arms wrap around my hips and move me against him. Stopping, he pushes away a little, and I feel the loss immediately.
“Spring, we have to stop this, it isn’t right, I took your blood to heal myself, but if we sleep with each other, it will complete the bond, and I don’t want to do that until you know everything,” he whispers in my ear. Not moving, I lean back to see him. His heart is pumping fast. I glance at his chest, and the wounds are healing quickly, all there is left are pink lines. I wonder why he doesn’t want to bond with me? Am I not good enough?
Because it lasts forever.
Chapter 10
“Spring, I don’t mean I don’t want you, I just …” Putting my hands on his lips, I stop him, I don’t want to hear anymore, and my heart is breaking in two, and I have no clue why.
“Just stop, Mick,” I whisper. I get up, walking over to the couch and grab my package. Not looking over my shoulder, I snatch up Tanner and stomp up the stairs. At the top of the landing, I hear Mick mumbling, but I can’t make it out. Turning, I go into my bedroom. Tanner makes his way under the covers and down. Thinking about all that happened tonight, I shake my head and head right to the shower. Turning it on, I start ripping my bathing suit off, jumping into the shower I just want to wash all this away. Letting the water run down I watch as the blood runs off me and then down the drain. I must have spent over an hour in here. Turning off the water, I make my way out and throw on my robe. Looking at my hair, I hurry and comb it out and use the blow dryer, so I can sleep with it down. Not caring what the bathroom looks like, I brush my teeth and walk into the bedroom.
Opening the package, I find a note and an ancient book with sticky notes sticking out of specific pages. Walking over to the bed, I let the robe slide down onto the floor and get into bed. I haven’t slept with no clothes on for a long time, but even this robe is hurting my skin. I’ve never felt this way. Getting into bed, I cover up gently; Tanner snuggles close to my side. Running my hand down his little back, he settles in.
Looking at the stuff I got from my mom, I decided to read the letter first. Opening it up, I can see that is in my mom’s handwriting.
My beloved Spring,
There is so much I have to tell you that I don’t know where to start. So, I will begin at the beginning. You come from a long line of ancient gods; your father was one of them. I fell in love with him although he was the King of hell, he still could be kind, loving and gentle. But at the same time could be, mean, angry, and start wars. I’m telling you this because you are part of him. You must be going through changes by now, and you have no clue why, you have powers that are, unparalleled to those before
you. You will be stronger, faster; your abilities will be exceptional.
Along with all this, you can talk to animals, something that no other could do before you. You, my dear, are a Queen. You will fight evil and stop them from taking over the world. Your guardians which you will meet will serve you, protect you, and you will bond with them. By now the old Princess should have come to you and told you about this. The reason why you are so unique my dear is because you are the last. By the time you entirely transform you will be immortal just like them.
Baby, I know this is all confusing, but this is your destiny. You will find love with your true mate. It’s not Michelle like they will have you believe. Your choices are a fairy, vampire, angel, werewolf, and a demon prince. Choose wisely my dear, your guardians are the fallen, and a demon will love you. All this is destined to happen, and you can’t change it. The only thing that you can is what side you will be on.
I’m told the bonding between you, and your guardians can be somewhat exciting, but you must pick them wisely. You will share your Blood and your bodies. I know this is all confusing, but it will all be okay. Because you are a Queen, many things will happen to you over the next few days. Some will hurt a little while others will be painful. Be careful my darling; there could be no better Queen. The most important thing is you can change most things.
With all my love,
MOM.
Putting the letter down, I grab my wine. Taking a long drink, I can’t believe what I just read. I knew I was different but all of this happening? And to sleep with my all my guardians? Well, apparently, Mom, you were wrong the one tonight one didn’t want me. Taking another drink of my wine, I open the book, looking through the pages it’s about archangels, demons, everything my mom wrote to me. I can’t believe it’s all here in a book. There’s a lot to it, so I decided to wait until tomorrow night and start reading it. Putting it on my nightstand, I reach over and turn off the light.
