“I would not change a thing.”

  “I beg your pardon?”

“I would not want you to take it all back.”

  “Why not?”

“Because you showed me how to be a better person. You filled my world with laughter and happiness. I have realized that it does not matter to me whether you are the daughter of a Marquess, or the daughter of a chimney sweep. I am in love with you, Emma Cooper, and from the moment I met you, I knew you were the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.”

“You did?” she asked in disbelief.

“Indeed,” he stepped towards her and took her hands in his. “I accept your apology only if you accept mine.”

“You have nothing to apologize for, Your Grace.”

“Indeed I do,” he answered. “I was foolish to not allow you to explain. I have spent the last fortnight wishing I had given you the opportunity to do so. I have been miserable from the moment I opened my eyes in the morning until the moment I fell asleep every night. Please forgive me.”

“You are forgiven, of course,” she answered breathlessly.

He brushed a lock of red hair off her face and gently touched her cheek. “Will you be mine, Miss Emma Cooper?”

“Yes, but I have been yours since that very first moment we met.”

“Indeed,” he answered with a smile and leaned in, kissing her sweetly on the lips.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I am the mother of two grown children and grandmother of two amazing little boys. I was born in a little town in northeastern Indiana where my family were original pioneers, and have lived there in the Midwest, on the East Coast and now in Colorado, where I’ve lived for the past 30 years.

I have always loved romance fiction and history, so my writing passions are historical novels. I love writing fiction because it is a way to create characters and situations where people overcome their weaknesses and emerge strong and happy.

The “Finding Love Forever” series is my first romance series in the regency romance genre and grew out of my fascination with the aristocracy of England and their interesting traditions.

Now I get to write those stories! Hope you enjoy!
