Nodding in acknowledgment, she asked Isaac, “Which room am I set up in?”
“There are three floors with eight bedrooms on each floor. Kalen and I am on the first floor, Jade and Blade are on the second floor and I put you and Felix on the third floor. Each room has a monitor so that everyone can keep an eye on things. I had Blade take your bag up to your room. It’s the big white canopy room with a jacuzzi tub at the end of the hallway, very private.” Isaac winked at her. What was that about?
“Thanks,” she said as she turned to leave.
“Take the elevator if you want,” Isaac chuckled.
She didn’t respond. Who had elevators in their private homes? The wealthy and elite did. Another reminder that she and Felix didn’t have much in common. Maybe the dangerous circumstances and him being grateful to her for helping him had made their connection feel real. Once he wasn’t being hunted and she wasn’t trying to keep him alive, would the heat between them fizzle out?
Suddenly really tired, she did take the elevator up to the third floor. She got off and headed down to the end of the hallway. The door was slightly open, and there was a lamp on low setting casting enough light for her to see the white canopy bed. On top of it was her bag. All she wanted to do was change clothes and get some sleep.
Walking into the bedroom, she halted when she saw Felix sitting in the chair in the corner. He had his head tilted back and his eyes closed. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans, his hair slicked back and wet, evidence that he had managed to take a shower. While he was in such a vulnerable state, she took the time to admire him. In that moment, she thought she could see the little boy who had made that picture.
Felix had to be one of the most beautiful men she had ever seen. It wasn’t just his outward appearance, but his intelligence, his kindness, and his generosity; they were all inspiring. He was also brave. When the cabin had been attacked, he could have tried to flee, but instead he stayed. Not only that, he stood up to Kalen and demanded he be allowed to help the injured. It was hot, so damn hot to see him in his full doctor mode. She knew he had been gentle and kind when he was treating her, but to watch him go from one injured person to the next, assessing their wounds and distracting them with bad jokes, made her see him in a new light.
He was strong, brave, handsome, and the most giving person she had ever met. Clearly, he was too good for her and totally out of her league socially, but she still wanted him. How could she not?
His eyes opened and he stood up quickly at seeing her. “Hey, I was waiting for you. Isaac explained how to work the monitors and I have to confess, I only understand a third of what he said.”
She took off the jacket she was wearing and tossed it to the now empty chair. “Is that the only reason you came to my bedroom?” She didn’t move an inch, waiting for his answer.
Felix ran a hand through his wet hair. “I’m sorry. I was a jealous asshole earlier. I saw you and your ex together, and the way he looked at you, the connection between the two of you was so real. I couldn’t handle the thought of someone else taking you from me when I had just found you.”
Elsa could have told him off, but her anger died at his honest confession. She took a step closer to him. “Ben is a great guy, but I ended things with him because I wasn’t in love with him. When I thought about my future, I just couldn’t imagine it with him. Ben deserved better than to be with a woman who didn’t truly love him.”
“Good. Uh, I mean…” Felix stuttered a little. His look of relief was simply adorable.
She reached for her t-shirt and slowly lifted it up and over her head. He watched her, desire clear in his eyes. “There’s something between us, Felix. I don’t know if it was created solely by of our current circumstances or if there’s something real, but I want to find out.”
He took off his shirt and tossed it to the chair behind him. “I feel it too. What do we do about it?”
“We could ignore it,” she offered, shoving her jeans off. “Or, we can go slow, see if what we feel lasts after your name has been cleared.”
He paused in unbuttoning his jeans. “Slow? How slow?”
She couldn’t help but smile as she she undid the fastening of her bra. “I don’t like slow.”
“Me either. Is there another option?” he asked hopefully, watching as she tossed away her bra. He licked his lips and she felt her nipples harden.
“We could jump all in, to hell with the circumstances, and let things fall where they may. I have to warn you, that way is messy and one or both of us could end up hurt if it doesn’t work out.”
Felix moved a step closer, until he was just inches from her. “I’ve played it safe my whole life, and it still didn’t work for me. I say, let’s jump all in. If I end up hurt at the end of this, at least I will have lived my life to the fullest. What do you want to do?”
Taking the final step to bring their bodies into contact, she looked up into his eyes. “I’m jumping.”
Chapter 18
She wrapped her arms around his neck as he bent down to kiss her, pressing her body into his. The feeling of her nipples against his chest sent ripples of sensation all the way down her spine. He was so warm and strong. He lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he walked them to the bed. Elsa felt the press of the mattress as he lowered them and then he pulled back to look at her.
“You have to be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen,” he whispered as his hands caressed her body. She arched up into the caress. It felt like forever since she had been with someone. The way he touched her, his clever doctor’s hands taking in every detail, made her feel beautiful and treasured. She anticipated his touch in a way that was different than anything she had experienced before. He took such evident joy in touching her, exploring every inch of her as he removed her panties. Felix seemed totally consumed with just touching and kissing her, but she wanted more from him, needed more.
“Felix…” she moaned as his tongue licked and teased at her nipples.
He pulled back and smiled. “I wondered if I could get your skin to change with my mouth.”
“Does it bother you?” she asked in a whisper. She rarely slept with full humans because of her difference. She didn’t want to see fear or disgust, or worse, to be used as an experiment. Looking down, her gaze caught in his and she saw nothing but desire.
“I am fascinated by you, everything about you. Your pigment changes are only a small part of it. I want to learn every inch of you, what you like…” He kissed his way up her neck. “I want to know what makes you gasp…” He gently nipped her chin. “What makes you go absolutely crazy.” He cupped her face with one hand and kissed her.
She opened her mouth, allowing him inside, and man, did he know what he was doing. His tongue teased her at first, then the kiss deepened as he devoured her. Elsa not only welcomed him, she eagerly met him, kissing him back with everything she had.
Elsa had been kissed plenty in her lifetime, but it felt different with Felix, it felt...right. It was like she had been born to kiss him. Suddenly, she grew impatient. Her hands trailed lower, pushing to get his jeans off.
“Elsa…”
“Off, I want the pants off now.”
He moved back and shoved his jeans off. “I thought you wanted to go slow.”
She reached for him throwing him onto his back and climbing on top of him. “I thought we established that I hate slow.” She was probably scaring the shit of him, but she couldn’t stop her desire for him. She paused, looking down at him to see if he seemed uncomfortable.
Felix looked up at her and smiled but didn’t say anything.
“What are you thinking?” she asked.
“I’m thinking that, despite how I got here, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now.”
“Good answer.” She scraped her nails down his chest, making him shiver, and thrust up with his hips. He still had his underwear on, that needed to be changed. Leaning down, she began kissing his chest, then his hip. As sh
e traveled downward, she slipped her fingers in between the waistband of his underwear and his skin. He gasped as air hit his sensitive skin and his cock sprung free.
Elsa continued to kiss him as her hand stroked his hard shaft. He felt like steel covered in velvet. Stroking him, she moved down so that she could take the tip of him in her mouth.
“I...don’t...want to lose control.”
She released him with a pop. “What was that?”
“God, did I say that out loud?”
Laughing, she smiled up at him. “Yes, you did. I bet I can make you lose control.” She licked his shaft, using her teeth to gently scrape.
“That’s…just mean.”
“Do you want me to stop?”
“God, please don’t stop.”
She sucked him, working his cock in and out of her mouth. His moans of pleasure spurred her on. The taste of him let her know he was close. She increased the pressure and speed of strokes. His hands were in her hair, holding her to him. A few more strokes and she won his release. She sucked him through the aftermath, then sat up and admired her work. He had his head tilted back and a big smile on his face.
“Elsa?”
“Yes?” she answered, kissing her way back up his body.
“I plan to reciprocate...big time.”
“I’m looking forward to it.”
*****
Felix was in heaven. It felt like forever since he’d had sex, and frankly, his wife didn’t like to go down on him very often. Elsa was different. She seemed to enjoy touching him like that. Now, he planned to show her just how much he wanted her.
When she once more straddled his lap, he held her hips and rolled them over. “My turn to play.”
Elsa giggled as he began kissing his way down to her breasts once more. He lingered for a moment before moving down to her flat stomach. He settled in between her thighs. He spread her legs apart and shifted until his mouth was at her entrance.
“I’ve fantasized about this.” He licked at the juices coating her. “Delicious.”
Her pussy lips turned a light shade of blue. Fascinating. He was definitely going to try to see all the places she could turn blue. The taste of her was sweet and exotic. He found that the more of her he took in, the more he wanted.
“Felix,” she moaned. Her way her voice and body responded to his touch was intoxicating. It made him feel a little powerful. Here she was, this sexy strong exotic bounty hunter who could easily grace the cover of a fashion magazine, could be with any man she wanted, and she chose him.
He parted her folds with his fingers and slid his tongue into her. He made love to her with his lips, tongue, and fingers. He was relentless, determined to bring her as much pleasure as she had brought him. She arched and bucked. He put his other hand on her hips to hold her in place as her inner walls quivered. Soon she was calling out his name in pleasure as her orgasm hit her. Bringing her off had his cock swelling once more in need.
“Please, inside me…” she half begged and half demanded.
He moved to sit back on his heels as he took himself in his hand and brought his tip to her entrance. He used her juices to coat him, then slowly entered her. She was small, smaller than he had anticipated. He worried that he was going to cause her harm.
“Felix?”
He opened his eyes and looked down at her. “Are you okay?”
“I won’t break.”
He relaxed a little. “You’re smaller than I expected and…”
She reached up and cupped his face. “I want to feel you inside me.”
God, how he wanted her. He bent down and kissed her as he buried himself deep inside her. Nothing felt as right as being inside Elsa.
“Oh my God, you feel so good,” she groaned, trying to move her hips to take him even more fully into her.
“Elsa…” he groaned as he began to move in and out of her with sure, powerful thrusts.
“Harder! Faster!” she called out, panting.
Soon he was pounding into her hard and fast, just like she wanted. Deeper and deeper, he felt the pressure building inside of him, but he didn’t want to seek his release until she came again. His eyes locked onto hers and something strong passed between them, a connection locking them to each other as they moved as one. They both cried out as their mutual orgasm hit.
Felix felt both exhausted and more at peace than he had ever felt before. He pulled out gently and shifted to his side and pulled her into his arms. She laid her head on his shoulder and sighed.
“I saw the picture you drew. The one in the hallway.”
He chuckled. “I was five. We had gone to the beach for vacation and it was the most fun I could remember us having. My mother was so proud of my drawing she helped me make the frame with our seashells from that trip. She did things like that with me all the time. I miss her.”
“Why is that the only thing of your childhood in the house?”
“Bridgette put all those things in the attic. She said she didn’t like to look at such ugly, childish things.”
“What a bitch.”
“She really was. I really made a mistake in marrying her so soon after my parents died. I was grieving and had no family that I was close to.”
“Well, I’m not her.”
He squeezed her close to him. “I know that.”
“I want to see where this goes,” she confessed.
“I do, too. We’ll take it one day at a time.” There was no turning back now. He wanted Elsa and was going to fight to be with her. One time with Elsa would never be enough. She was already working her way into his heart in a way that his wife never could have. He kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes. His future was unsure, but as long as this beautiful, strong woman was by his side, he could face anything.
Chapter 19
Elsa woke to the feeling of fingertips stroking her bare back. Smiling, she turned her head and faced Felix. “Good morning.”
“Good morning, beautiful. Did you sleep well?”
“Yes, surprisingly, since someone kept me up most of the night.”
Felix chuckled as he leaned down and kissed her lips. “I believe you were the one that woke me up the last time. You are insatiable, woman.”
She slapped his shoulder as she kicked the sheets off to get out of the bed. “Watch it, mister.”
He stayed on the bed, unashamedly naked as he watched her looking through her bag for her clothes. He had a strange look on his face.
“What’s wrong?”
“I can’t believe that I thought you were Bridgette at the station.”
“Me either. All blondes do not look alike.”
“Well, you were very convincing. You could definitely fool anyone.”
She froze at his words, clothing dangling from her fingers. “I have an idea. Where’s Bridgette’s closet?”
“First floor, last bedroom on the right. Why?”
“Get dressed and meet me downstairs.”
“What is it?” Felix asked reaching for his jeans.
She was already out the bedroom door and heading for the stairs. She could have taken the elevator but she wanted the time to work out the plan quickly forming in her mind. Footsteps behind her assured her that Felix was following her down the staircase. Isaac and Blade were in the main foyer.
“Get Kalen and Jade, I think I have a plan.” She continued towards the downstairs bedrooms. Finding the right one, she entered it and looked around. It had another fancy canopy bed, floral wallpaper, and fur-covered chairs. Nothing of Felix’s personality showed in this room. It was like Bridgette hadn’t wanted him to have anything of himself in here.
She saw a picture frame on the dresser. Moving to pick it up, she saw it was a wedding picture of the two of them. A spike of jealousy shot through her, but she pushed it down. She needed to concentrate, to take apart the scene. The Felix in the picture looked nervous and tense, not at all a happy and carefree groom. Bridgette had her blond hair pulled up on her head and a desi
gner dress with a plunging neckline. Her makeup was done up to perfection, but the look in her green eyes was cold and calculating. Her smile was fake and simpering, as fake as the marriage had been. Putting the picture down, Elsa walked over to the huge walk-in closet. Isaac had been right, it was bigger than most people’s bedrooms.
“What are you looking for?” Felix asked.
“What was her favorite outfit to wear?”
Felix looked around and fingered various dresses before finally settling on a blue halter dress. “She wore this a lot.”
Elsa frowned, taking it from him. “It exposes too much skin. Bridgette is bigger chested...Would she wear a coat with this sometimes? Or a scarf?”
“Yes, she had a fur coat she liked to wear with many outfits.” Felix moved to the other end of the closet and found a white fur coat.
“This will work. Let me grab some shoes.” She checked the shoe racks and frowned. The woman clearly loved to wear high heels, hardly the best thing for running an op. She picked a pair of one-inch heels, the closest thing to flats Bridgette seemed to own, and headed back to the bedroom.
“What’s going on?” Kalen asked. He and the others were all waiting for them.
“Before we arrived here, we heard that the Roger Roberts was going to be brought in for questioning.”
Kalen nodded his head. “Yes, that’s correct. Vic texted the news to us on a secure line. Roger is expected to arrive tomorrow morning.”
“What does that have to do with my wife’s clothes?” Felix asked.
“If you were setting up your spouse to take the fall for your murder, and your lover was his cousin, would you stay together while the murder was being investigated?”
Jade shook her head before answering. “No, they would have to stayed separate to maintain their ruse. Bridgette is probably hiding out on another planet.”
