Twisted Love

“I know, I bought this place for us, it’s our place,” I responded hoping that she would love it as much as I do. Her eyes immediately turned red and she made funny squealing sounds, I forgot that pregnant Lexi was also emotional Lexi and sexually ravenous Lexi. That was another reason I forgot to mention that I liked Lexi pregnant.
“Dylan, oh my.” She touched her hand to her heart and then threw her arms around my neck and began to kiss my face all over. “Thank you Dylan, thank you,” she said in between her tears. This place was special to us, it’s where we first confessed our love. “This is going to be the best Christmas ever,” she said as she made her way deeper into the lodge throwing off her coat onto a bench in the front door. I walked Bobby in and took him out of his snowsuit. He placed his head on my shoulder.
“Bobby, your Daddy is the best,” Lexi said caressing his soft little head. She went through the hall into the large modern kitchen, then she ran into the family room that was also connected to the dining room, she looked like an excited kid opening presents on Christmas morning. She never had that feeling growing up and I made it my duty to make her feel loved and cherished every day. Watching her enjoy this and holding my son in my arms made me realize what a lucky bastard I was and how close I came to losing her.
“I better warm his bottle before he falls asleep,” Lexi said taking his bottle bag into the kitchen. “Dylan, this place is so extravagant.”
I knew I kind of went a little overboard in terms of size and decorating but I wanted everything to be perfect for her.
“Anything for you babe,” I gave her my cockiest grin and watched how her cheeks flushed. She took a seat on the couch and I passed Bobby to her, she gave him his bottle and he sucked on it with his eyes open, content in his mother’s arms. I sat on the couch beside them and just watched.
“There’s a nursery setup on the second floor for him, pass him to me I will take him up,” I said to Lexi when I saw that Bobby had emptied his bottle.
“The blankets are in his bag,” she motioned to me as I noticed Bobby closing his eyes.
I whispered, “Don’t worry there are blankets upstairs, everything has been set up.”
She mouthed quietly, “I love you.”
I mouthed back, “I love you too.”
I took Bobby and placed him in the crib, then I placed a soft kiss on his forehead. He was absolutely perfect with Lexi’s golden hair and my light blue eyes. I tiptoed out of the room and went back downstairs. Lexi was in the kitchen waiting on the kettle to boil. I switched on the fire place. Then I turned the speaker system on hoping that the guy that set things up didn’t forget anything. I flipped through some music and the disc was here, phew. I slid it in and turned on the song. Lexi was eyeing me from the kitchen and her eyes turned soft. I took her hand guiding her back into the family room only lit by the dim fire in the fireplace.
“May I have this dance?” I asked bowing in front her. She curtsied.
I brought her in close to me as we danced to 'I’ll Be' by Edwin McCain. It was our song. I began to sing the words in her ear just like I did at prom and at our wedding. She rested her head against my chest swaying her curvaceous hips. I rubbed my hands along her back, down to her behind and around her belly. Watching as her nipples perked up in her tight sweater. “I”ll be the greatest fan of your life,” I sang the words along with Edwin McCain. Lexi ran her fingers through my hair.
“Thank you Dylan, thank you for being you, thank you for giving me everything I’ve ever wanted.”
We continued to sway together and I knew she wasn’t thanking me for the material things, she was thanking me for giving her a family, for making her a part of something.
“I should be thanking you Lex, thanking you for being you, thanking you for Bobby and this little scoundrel here in your stomach,” I said rubbing her swollen belly.
“Don’t go calling her a scoundrel,” she answered drawing her brows together.
“Her?” I asked, she had never referred to the baby as her before.
“It’s a girl Dylan,” she said throwing her head back laughing. My eyes filled with love for the only woman that ever did and would ever capture my heart and soul. She was the perfect mom, friend and lover. I picked her up and swung her around.
“Oh Lexi, we’re going to have to lock her up, especially if she’s going to look anything like you.” My comment made her laugh even more. I loved hearing that laugh, as long as I heard that laugh for the rest of my life I would be a happy man.
“What should I do with you Doc McHotty?” she asked, her eyes were heavy lidded and I knew exactly what she wanted, like I said, pregnant Lexi was sexually ravenous.
“Oh my sexy vixen, I have lots of ideas,” I said bringing her face close to mine. When our lips connected I dropped my hands down to squeeze her behind hard. Our lips intertwined and we kissed pouring everything we felt into it.
Our road to love was bitter and sweet and faith had a tough journey for us. Fate had twisted our love but when true love was given to you, you didn’t back down. You fought hard and made life what you wanted it to be.
