“We’re just catching up,” Vixen said. “I’m a huge fan or Sage’s work.”

My eyes widened in surprise, and Vixen laughed. “I’ve changed since high school Jordan.”

“Well good for you,” I said meaning it. Maybe Sage had been right the night before. We weren’t all the same dumb idiots we’d been back then.

“Anyway, I’ll catch you later.” We both watched her walk away.

  “She’s making amends,” Sage said.

  “Is she in AA?”

“No BA - Bitches Anonymous,” she said with a wink. “I think she’s just grown up. Maybe we all have.”

“You can acknowledge the past and let it go,” I said.

“Are you talking about us?” She tilted her head back and looked up at me full of expectation.

“Yeah, I am. If I met you right now for the first time, I’d still find you fascinating, and you’d still be the sexiest woman in the room. I’d like that chance to start over.”

I really wanted to say yes.

“How do you know I’m a one-night stand kind of a girl, Jordan?”

“I don’t, and I’m not looking for that.”

Was he serious? “That’s pretty full on for two people who just met and live on opposite sides of the country.”

“Yeah, I’m a passionate guy.” I felt that comment as he meant me to, in every fiber of my body. I took a sip of champagne as he leaned in close, his warm breath fanning my face and further heating my body. “I go after what I want, and I want you.”

A bell rang indicating we needed to take our seats, so he pulled back and placed his hand on my back, guiding me to the table where Mandy had saved us two seats.

Candy Van Hooten blinked at me. I’m not sure if it was my outfit or my companion that surprised her most.

“Hey Candy, I love your earrings,” I said going for deflection. She just blinked in confusion so I took the seat Jordan had pulled out for me.

I busied myself with my napkin and looking at the menu. Jordan busied himself pressing his thigh against mine, placing his arm across the back of my chair, and leaning across me to ask Mandy a question. After what he’d just said I suspected it was to crowd me in as much as it was to talk.

I knew for certain I wanted Jordan, but I didn’t know if I could give him what he wanted. To the sex, I wanted to shout yes please, but more than that I was not clear on.

As he leaned back so the waitress could plate our meals, he looked at me. “You’re over-thinking this.”

“Probably.” Then I focused on the food and the conservation and not the fact that he ate fast and rested his hand deliciously high on my thigh after finishing his starter.

I got it. She liked certainty and security and a long distance relationship with me was neither. I dragged her on the dance floor for the first slow song.

“Okay, let’s just go with tonight and see.”

  “Really? That’s okay with you.”

It wasn't really but it had to be. “I’d rather have that than nothing, Sage.”

Her chest was pressed against mine, the lush curves pushing up and over the top of her dress. My hands were low on her back and her arms were wrapped around my neck as she swayed to the music. It was heaven and hell, perfect and not nearly enough. Then she licked her lips.

  “Okay.”

  “Okay?”

She nodded, and it’s possible I may have dragged her from the ballroom to the elevator where I licked those lips for myself before she parted them letting me in again. It was a short ride up to my room, and yet I was hot by the time the elevator doors sprung open.

I was only two doors along the corridor, and in another minute we were in that room, and I was doing what I’d wanted to do all night, sliding the thin straps of her dress down her arms so that it pooled on the floor at her feet.

“Damn, Sage.” She was a vision in a matching red lace strapless bra and whisper thin knickers.

“You’re overdressed Jordan.” Her voice was full of bravado but a tell-tale blush told me she was apprehensive. I was down to my boxers in record time.

  “Better?’

“Much.” She stepped forward and ran her hands across the hard planes of my chest, exploring. I was hard everywhere, but I stood still for as long as I could before my hands slid behind her and I pulled her close, trapping her hands between us. I needed skin to skin contact and fast. I claimed her mouth again, and it tasted like heaven and champagne.

I flicked open her bra from behind. She inched back and it too fell south. When I pulled her back against me, her pert nipples brushing against my chest felt divine, and she let out some very sexy moans as I reclaimed her mouth and wedged one of my thighs between hers. I had to believe I wasn’t the only one experiencing heaven.

Jordan was even more gorgeous naked than dressed. It was like making out with my very own sexy male model, except he was more than that. He was Jordan. Jordan whose hands were cupping my butt and grinding me against his leg. Jordan whose mouth was claiming mine as if he’s waited his whole life to do so. Jordan whose pleasure I could feel pressing against my belly.

A couple of thin bits of fabric were all that separated us and it was still too much. “Naked now,” I said against his lips.

“Hey, whatever you want.” He took a step back and slid his thumbs into his boxers before shucking them. I was mesmerized by his massive erection as I slid my own knickers off. Then he was spinning me and pressing me against the bed kissing my mouth before heading south to lavish each nipple with glorious attention that had me squirming beneath him. It was ridiculous. I was so worked up I could have come right then. He slid a hand between us and found the spot I needed him to touch most.

I expected him to prolong this and make me squirm, but he didn't. He went straight there, moving his thumb in quick circles as his mouth sucked each nipple in turn, and I was off and flying.

It could have been because it was a long time between orgasms but it was more likely the man giving it to me that made it so easy. He kissed his was up my neck until he was back at my mouth, hungry. So was I.

  “Condom?” I asked breathless.

He slid away, and I shut my eyes to catch my breath. I heard the tell-tale sounds of him unwrapping it and then he was back on top of me. I could feel him nudging against me as his hands slid up and down my sides before he raised himself up on his elbows to look down at me.

“You’re so beautiful. I’m so incredible turned on, and I’ve wanted this for so long...” His voiced stalled as I blinked up at his perfect face. “Let’s just say, don't judge me on this first time. It may not be my best work.”

I laughed. He was nervous. Wow. “It’s not high school anymore, and there’s no report card.’

  He smiled then. “Good.”

“Although you will get extra credit if I orgasm again.”

He laughed as he entered me, his eyes fixed on mine. He moved slowly at first. I hooked my ankles behind him to bring him closer, my arms wrapped around him tight. Then he found his rhythm, gathering pace and I matched him, rising to meet him. He was right; it wasn’t long and drawn out. It was short and sharp, and we were moving as one when I felt my own pleasure building before breaking again quickly. He followed hot on my heels which were now resting on his fine ass.

By the time room service arrived at seven a.m. sharp, Sage and I had been another three rounds. While I wasn’t any less impatient to be with her, I’d learned to take my time and enjoy every magnificent inch of her.

I dragged the trolley in and turned to see her sitting up against the headboard, her dark hair cascading across the white backdrop. I paused and caught my breath. This was it. She was it.

I’d come to this reunion for Sage, and here she was in my room, but I didn’t want to walk away now. If she was hard to forget after one kiss ten years earlier, that task was now officially impossible. There’d been a lot of action and
not much talk since we’d hit the hotel room last night. While I was reluctant to break the mood, it had to be done.

I handed her a coffee and sat down beside her.

  “So…”

I saw her tense as if bracing herself. “Jordan, I’ve never had a proper relationship. I don’t think I’m cut out for it.”

“That’s rubbish. Just because you haven't, doesn’t mean you can’t.”

“And we live a long way apart.’

“Do you know how often I’m in New York, Sage? “ She shook her head. “Twice a month, at least. And I have more frequent flyer points than you have curls.”

I pulled one to keep the mood light, and she captured my hand as her face searched mine. “It’s not that I don’t want to. It’s just that this is all an illusion. When I said I barely left the apartment or my sweats, I wasn’t joking.”

Okay. Heck. I knew that and yet I’d thought she was exaggerating. I kissed her to buy time. I knew whatever I said could make or break this. “Maybe you didn’t have anyone worth leaving for before.”

She blinked at me, processing, and I let her. “We could try it. No promises.”

“Okay, no promises. That’s a start.” And it was.

“Oh yeah, and Mandy assured me I’d get awesome sex at her wedding, bridesmaids’ rights.” She pulled me down on top of her for a languid kiss.

  “Now that I can promise.”

  Love Reunited

Three months ago Brandon and Jessica's paths in life seemed to come to a crossroads, both choosing different directions.

It didn't take long for them both to realise it wasn't what they wanted and neither knew how to bridge the gap.

Fate jumps in when they come face to face at their ten year school reunion and Brandon uses the opportunity to win his wife back.

Will their love be reunited or is it time for them to walk away for good?

  Brandon

I left the UK and my wife three months ago, and it was the worst mistake of my life. Yeah, I had missed living here in Pennsylvania, but now that I was back in my hometown without her, I was just as lonely as I had been in high school. My family were never around, either. I had nothing here: no career, no family. And friends, I hadn’t seen any of them since high school graduation.

When I signed in with Mrs. Williams this evening, for the first part of our reunion here at the Leaning Pine, I showed her my winning smile and asked if Jessica, my wife, would be attending. She assured me she would be. Hope filled my chest at the thought of seeing her. Butterflies took flight in my stomach, and I knew then that I had to get her back. She was my life, my soulmate, and I missed her irrevocably.

“Yo, Brandon.” I glanced up from my space at the bar and sauntering towards me was Justin. He still had the same slicked back, black hair, polo shirt, and khaki pants. Some people never change.

“Hey, Justin.” I nodded my head his way as we shook hands.

“Where’s that gorgeous wife of yours? I heard you followed her to the UK and put a ring on her finger.”

“Yeah. We separated three months ago.” I pursed my lips together and rocked back on my heels.

“Ah, shit, man. Sorry to hear that.” He slapped me on the shoulder. “Cheated on you?”

“No!” I shrugged his hand off and stood straighter. “I wanted to come back home and she didn’t.” I wouldn’t have him spreading idle gossip about my wife. She is the kindest and most caring person I know.

There was an awkward silence surrounding us. Just as I was about to speak, a gorgeous woman with long blond hair and the brightest blue eyes looped her arm through Justin’s. I raised my eyebrow in the air in question. How did he manage to hook a hottie like that?

“Hi, I’m Brandon.” I offered her my hand and she placed her small, delicate one in mine.

“Candy.” She smiled back at me.

  “Wife?” I asked Justin.

“Hell, no, man. No woman is ever tying me down. There’s this great agency you can use for dates. I hand-picked Candy myself. Let me get you their number.” He started rifling through his pockets.

“I’m good. I’m married, remember.” I drained the last sip of whiskey out of the tumbler and placed it back on the bar. I spun my wedding ring around on my finger—I had no intention of removing it.

“You said you were separated.” Justin screwed his face up at me.

“Temporarily.” It would only be temporary. My main reason for coming this weekend was to win my wife back.

  Jessica

I was stood in the doorway of The Leaning Pine looking through it at all my old classmates. They were all out on the decking enjoying drinks and desert and the mountains were a breathtaking view in the background. I was wearing a navy-blue jumpsuit that showed off my curves. It was strapless, showing off my various tattoos.

It took a lot for me to come here this weekend. I had only spent a year with these people, and back then I wasn’t very popular. Mum had fallen in love with an American actor and moved us out to live with him, once they had gotten married. After being sent to a strange new school with such different teaching methods and people, I had managed to acquire a small group of friends, one of which included my now husband, Brandon. Ex-husband, even. Do I call him my ex-husband when we aren’t divorced? We’re just separated, but that could change, right? Hopefulness filled my heart at the thought of us getting back together. I was silly not to move back to the US with him. He had spent nine years in the UK with me. But what would I have done here? I loved working at my business in Chelsea. Dog grooming was always something that I had wanted to do. Ever since my auntie opened her salon. I was always there on my free weekends, helping her bath and dry dogs.

“Are you signing in, my lovely?” I glanced to the left and there was Mrs. Williams, sitting behind a table with a pen in her hand.

“Um…” I hesitated. Why would I come all this way and not go in? That in itself would be a waste of money. I was about to walk over to her when something caught my eye. Brandon. He was always handsome with his dark hair and dimple smile. He was standing by the bar, talking to a woman I didn’t recognise. She was skinny, tall, and had long, silky black hair. My stomach roiled when his head flung back in laughter. That deep voice sent all kinds of sensations flitting through my body.

I started backing away. I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t walk in there and enjoy my
self knowing that he had moved on from me already. My heart was breaking all over again. It was silly of me to come. I was naive to think that he still wanted me. I placed my hand on my tummy, what I hadn’t planned on telling anyone was that I was three months pregnant. I found out the day after Brandon had left.

“I—I’m not feeling too good,” I stuttered to Mrs. Williams.

“Oh, dear, maybe we’ll see you tomorrow at River Creek Country Club for cocktails?”

“Yes, maybe.” I gave her a tight smile, spun on my heel, and headed back out of the main door with my head held down. I didn’t want to make eye contact with anyone.

“Jess?” My head whipped up when someone said my name. “Aaahhhh, I can’t believe you are here.” Megan, my best girlfriend from school, was standing in front of me with her arms wrapped tightly around my neck. I hugged her back and tried not to cry. I was an emotional wreck at the moment and being wrapped up in my best friends arms was making me vulnerable.

“Where are you going? Aren’t you coming in?” she asked.

“I’m not feeling great. I’m going to have an early night. But I’ll see you tomorrow?” I asked.

She smiled and nodded her head as a handsome man towered over her from behind, kissed her neck, and placed his hands on her very rounded tummy.

“Jess, this is my husband, Kent.”

“Nice to meet you, Jess.” He smiled.

“You too.” I looked back down at her tummy. “Look at you.” I smiled. “How far along are you?”

“Twenty-four weeks.” She beamed. “We’ve just found out that we’re having a boy.”
