Trapped in a Castle Page 16

by Katie Holland

  “Patience Eve, patience.”

He started the sensual assault with his tongue again. One hand started rubbing me through my jeans and I threw my head back in pleasure. He was going to slowly kill me, but I was loving every second of it.

My hands found his nipples and I squeezed them. That got his attention. He breathed in hard as his mouth left my nipple. I claimed his mouth again and wiggled in his lap. He was already hard underneath me and I knew that would drive him crazy. I rolled my hips around loving the feeling of him beneath me.

“Eve,” he said, in a strangled voice, “I’m going to come in my jeans if you keep that up.”

I giggled. “Can’t have that now can we,” I said and stopped moving.

“I want to be inside you so bad it’s driving me insane,” he told me.

That was music to my ears. I stood up and took off my jeans and underwear. Ellis did the same. I watched him in the fire light. He’d never looked sexier.

He sat back down, and I positioned myself over him. I moaned as I felt him at my entrance. I was about to sink down on him when I remembered, condom. I really, really didn’t want to get pregnant by accident.

I moved back slightly to Ellis’s confusion.

“Condom? I don’t have any with me.”

The look on his face was almost comical and he cursed a blue streak. I took that to mean that he didn’t have any either.

“I wasn’t planning on getting stranded out here,” he said with defeat in his voice.

“Don’t worry, there are lots of other things we can do,” I said.

I was still in his lap, so I took him in my hand. I stroked him up and down with just enough pressure to drive him crazy. He closed his eyes and let his head fall back on the couch. I loved the sounds he was making. I was getting even more aroused which I didn’t think was possible.

I started to pleasure myself with my other hand. It wouldn’t take me long to climax if he kept making those noises. I was struggling to concentrate on both of us and Ellis must have noticed something was different because he opened his eyes.

“Oh my God Eve, that is the hottest thing I’ve ever seen. Please keep going.”

He started stroking himself while he watched me. I thought I’d be self-conscious with him watching but it only fueled my fire. We watched each other. I think this was the single most erotic experience of my life.

I was getting close and started moving faster. Ellis swore under his breath. I watched him come on his stomach and that put me over the edge. That by far was the best orgasm I’d ever given myself.

“Eve, I’m not sure I even have words for how hot that was. I want to do that again but watch you while you’re laying down, so I can see you better.”

His words were like a fan to my already burning flames. If I hadn’t just come I think would have just then.

“We’re a mess Eve. Would you care to join me in the shower?”

I nodded. I stood and took his hand. That was the most fun I’d ever had in the shower. Both of us had our hands all over each other. He brought me to another climax with his very nimble fingers and I helped him out with my hand.

After the shower we dried off and I realized I had nothing to put on. Ellis went and found me a shirt to wear and he found a pair of sweats.

“We can wash these in the morning before we go,” he said as we got dressed.

We went back to sit in front of the fire.

“Thank you for this weekend,” I told him. “It’s been perfect.”

  “Even getting stranded?”

“Especially getting stranded,” I told him.

We talked for a little while before I started yawning. It was later than I thought. We found the spare room and curled up under the covers.

This was only the second time sharing a bed, but it was something I was starting to get addicted too. Maybe I could convince him to stay over one or two nights a week. Yep, that sounded like a fantastic idea. I drifted off to sleep with Ellis’s arms around me.

  Chapter 33

I woke up the next morning with Ellis still wrapped around me. I wasn’t sure that either of us had moved all night. I felt extremely well rested. I wondered what time it was. I could see the sun shining through the window, so that meant at least it had stopped snowing at some point. I really had to pee, so I tried to escape Ellis’s arms. The more I moved, the tighter he held me. It was making me giggle.

I finally got myself free and out of bed. I walked into the hallway when I thought I heard knocking. I listen again, and I was right. I ran back to the bedroom to wake Ellis up. It was probably the guy with his key.

“Ellis,” I said shaking him. He just mumbled something unintelligible. “Ellis,” I said louder. “There’s someone at the door. I think it’s your key.”

He finally seemed to hear me. He scrambled out of bed and ran for the door. I heard voices and then the door close. I took that opportunity to use the bathroom. When I came out I found Ellis in the living room.

  “Was that your key?”

  “Yes, thank God.”

  “Tired of me already?”

“Never. I’m just thankful that I can get you home. I really didn’t want to meet your parents this way.”

I smiled and followed him into the kitchen. He made us coffee. We drank it in comfortable silence. We got dressed and washed the sheets and the clothes we had borrowed. I turned the heat back down and Ellis made sure the fire was completely out. We locked up and headed back to the city. I texted mom that everything was alright, and we were on the way home.

It was a little before 2:00 when we drove into the parking garage. We walked to the little café down the street and had lunch. Our perfect weekend was coming to a close. I really didn’t want it to end. We were at my apartment door. I turned to open it when Ellis stopped me.

“Come over for dinner?” he asked.

“Sounds perfect.” I had a huge grin on my face. I guess he didn’t want it to end either. “I’ll see you in a little while,” I said, and kissed him.

I went into my apartment feeling happier than I had in a long time. I texted mom to tell her I was home and that I was going for a shower. I’d call her when I was done.

I had a nice long shower. Naturally my thoughts went to Ellis. He was kind, sweet, caring, thoughtful and funny. So far, I’d yet to find something about him I didn’t like. I wasn’t sure that would last forever but I’d take it for now.

After I got dressed I called mom and filled her in on everything she missed. Since I didn’t have to worry about dinner I sat down on the couch with Molly and my book. She seemed particularly happy to sit with me today. I guess she was lonely. Maybe I should think about getting another cat.

Ellis hadn’t given me a time to come over for dinner so at 5:30 I went across the hall and knocked. He answered the door in workout clothes and was all sweaty.

  “Hey sexy,” he said smiling.

“Hey yourself. If you’re busy I can come back later,” I said.

“No, come in. I was just working out.”

  “I can tell,” I giggled.

Like me, Ellis had a two-bedroom apartment and used the second one as a workout space. But whereas I just had a treadmill and a few weights, he had turned his into a tiny gym. Since I’d been seeing Ellis I’d kind of quit using mine. That was probably something I should get back to doing.

“You’re welcome to make yourself at home while I finish,” he told me.

“Sure. I’ll just run back and get my book. Leave the door unlocked so I can let myself back in.”

He went back to his workout and I went and got my book. I read for about half an hour while he finished his workout. I wasn’t sure how long he worked out every day but it sure paid off, his body was drool worthy. He had a quick shower and changed.

“I ordered Chinese,” he said, as he walked into the living room. “I hope that’s okay.”

“Sounds good. I’ve been craving Chinese lately.”

  “I hope
you weren’t bored sitting here by yourself.”

I held up my eReader. “Nope. As long as I have this I’ll never be bored.”

“How many books can that thing hold?” he asked.

“I have no idea, but I have over eight hundred books on it now.”

“Eight hundred! Have you read them all?”

“Most of them. I think I have about two hundred and fifty that I still need to read.”

Ellis just shook his head. “Even with all of the textbooks I read in college and law school I don’t think I’ll have read eight hundred books by the time I’m ninety.”

I just shrugged. I got that reaction a lot when anyone learned about my reading habits.

“What kind of books do you read?”

“Mostly romance. Some young adult, mystery, fantasy, a little bit of everything but no horror. I hate being scared.”

“Do you have a favorite book?”

“Nope, there’s no way I could just pick one. Usually the one I’m currently reading I guess,” I laughed.

  “Favorite author?”

“Abbi Glines. You should give her books a try Mr. Romance Reader.”

  “Very funny.”

“You know it is. You mentioned your mom reads, do your sisters?”

“I know Marissa does. As for Lilly, she used to read a lot as a teenager, but now with college I don’t know how much reading she does for fun.”

  “Do you read at all?”

“Not really. I don’t think I’ve picked up a non-law related book since I started college.”

“That’s too bad. Did I tell you that I’ve written a book?”

“Really? That’s awesome. What’s it about?”

“My experience with the coma and about getting better afterwards. Kind of an inspirational thing.”

  “That’s amazing Eve.”

“It’s not published or anything. I actually sent it to the psychologist that helped me in the care facility. She’s been reading it and helping me with changes.”

“Are you going to publish it?”

“I think so. A lot of books are self-published now, so you can do it on your own. I think that’s the route I’ll go. I’m not looking to make a living off of it. I just needed to write everything down and if it can help even one person I’ll have accomplished what I wanted.”

“Wow. Chef, baker, reader, author, sex goddess, is there anything you can’t do?”

I laughed at his teasing tone. I’d thought the same thing about him too. We talked for a little bit longer before the Chinese food arrived. It smelled great as Ellis brought it into the living room.

“I thought we’d eat in the living room while we watched a movie. That alright with you?” he asked me.

“Sure. I’m starving so I don’t care where we eat.”

Ellis chose a movie and we sat on the couch and ate. The more time I spent with him the more I felt like this was perfectly right. I was as comfortable around him as I was my parents. I hadn’t even felt this comfortable around my close friends. I’d always held part of me back, but I didn’t do that with Ellis. He’d seen all sides of me and it didn’t bother me, in fact, I loved it.

After the movie we watched some TV. It had been an interesting weekend and we both had to go to work tomorrow. I was reluctant to go but I knew we couldn’t spend every waking moment together. He gave me a wonderfully sweet kiss and watched me walk to my apartment. He didn’t close his door until I was safely inside.

  Chapter 34

I didn’t get to see Ellis as much as I would have liked over the next two weeks. He was working on some big contract negotiation that was going to be really good for the company. We texted a lot and he called me when he could. We only saw each other once in that time. He’d only been able to get away for one full afternoon and we’d spent that in bed. As good as the sex had been on Valentine’s weekend it was even better the second time. I was anxious for his work thing to be done so we could spend more time together and not just for sex. I just liked being around him.

Today was the day of our combined family cocktail party. I was in charge of food, so I’d spent most of the day making appetizers and baking. Ellis was responsible for the drinks. He had to work all day but promised me he would be here by 5:00. The party started at 7:00.

At almost exactly 5:00 Ellis walked into my apartment with two bags in each hand.

“Hey there sexy, smells great in here.”

“Hi you. Thanks. That’s a lot of stuff you have there. You know we only invited twelve people.”

He laughed. “This is only the first trip. I have more in the car. Want to come help me?”

  “Sure.”

Ellis had bought a lot. Three different kinds of beer, half a dozen bottles of wine, several bottles of liquor and a couple of liqueurs. There was pop, juice and a few other mixers.

“You know we’re going to have a ton of this left over right?” I said.

“Probably, but I didn’t know what everyone would want. Besides, it’s not like it’ll go to waste, we’ll use it eventually.”

I liked when he talked about “our” future, even it might only mean a few weeks from now.

We set up for the party and both got changed. Neither one of us said much while we were changing. I think we were both nervous about meeting each other’s families.

I couldn’t take the silence any more. “Nervous?” I finally asked.

“Yes,” he said, with a small laugh. “Am I that obvious?”

  “A little,” I teased.

“It doesn’t matter how old you are, meeting your girlfriends’ parents is always scary.”

“You have nothing to be scared of or nervous about. I told you, my parents are going to love you. I’m nervous to meet your mom,” I confessed.

“She’ll love you. Come here,” he said.

I went over to him and he pulled me into a hug. I’d needed that more than I realized.

“I’m sorry I’ve been so busy lately. It’s killing me that I’ve barely gotten to see you. Tonight, after everyone leaves, you’re mine and I’m not letting you go until I have to,” he practically growled.

“I like the sound of that,” I said, just before he kissed me. “Ready?”

“As ready as I’m going to get. You look wonderful tonight Eve.”

“Thank you,” I said and did a little twirl.

“That dress looks great on you, but it’s going to look even better when I take it off of you and kiss my way down your body,” he said suggestively.

The look on his face had heat flooding my body. “You can’t say stuff like that to me just before I’m going to meet your parents. I’m trying to make a good impression, and I don’t think sex crazed maniac is the look I’m going for.”

Ellis laughed a full-on belly laugh. “Eve, I never know what’s going to come out of that amazing mouth of yours. You always manage to surprise me.”

“Someone has to keep you on your toes. And I meant it, now all I’ll be thinking about is your mouth on my body.”

  “Mission accomplished,” he said proudly.

“Stop it,” I said, smacking him on the arm and fighting a smile. “Everyone’s going to be here soon. Let’s go put some music on and make sure we’ve done everything.”

“Yes dear,” he said following me. I couldn’t fight my smile this time.

I was checking on the appetizers when someone knocked. I was betting it was my parents since it was still a little before 7:00. Ellis and I answered the door together. I was right, it was mom and dad. I gave each of them a hug and then introduced Ellis.

“Mom and dad, this is Ellis. Ellis, these are my parents, Jim and Jessica.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Ellis said, I could tell he was nervous again and I thought it was adorable.

“Nice to meet you,” my dad said, as they shook hands and my dad gave him one of those one armed guy hug things.

“I’ve heard so much about you Ellis, I’m so glad to finally m
eet you,” my mom said, drawing him into a great big hug.

The look on his face was priceless. It was a mix of shock and confusion. The look I gave him back was ‘See, nothing to worry about’.

After they met Ellis mom and dad finally got around to giving me their greeting hugs.

“Where’s Blake? Didn’t he come with you?”

“He said he had something to do first so he’s driving himself,” mom replied.

I took their coats and we went to the kitchen.

“Can I offer you something to drink?” Ellis asked standing at the island that was covered in drinks.

“That’s quite a selection you have there,” my dad said, with a hint of a smile on his face. I could only imagine what mom was thinking.

“I wasn’t sure what everyone liked so I got a bit of everything,” Ellis said sheepishly.

“Planning ahead, I like that,” dad said. “I’ll have a glass of wine, red please.”

  “And for you Mrs. Caulder?”

“Please call me Jessica and I’ll have a glass of white please.”

“Certainly,” Ellis said, and got my parents their drinks.

Mom came over to me and whispered, “He’s even better looking in person. The pictures you’ve sent me didn’t do him justice.”

I tried to keep a straight face but failed miserably. I broke out into a huge grin.

“If he looks just like Jackson no wonder you were upset when you came out of the coma,” she said.

My mouth dropped open. “Mom, I can’t believe you just said that.”

All she did was smile at me and go back over to where Ellis and dad were talking. If I had to guess they were talking football. Dad played in high school and loved to talk about the “glory days”. There was another knock at the door, so I went to answer it. It was Marissa and two people I didn’t know.

  “Come in please,” I said.

Ellis saw who it was and excused himself from my parents.

“My two favorite sisters,” he said as he approached. By the looks they gave him he said that all the time.

“Eve,” he started, “you’ve already met Marissa.”
