“Let’s do something spontaneous,” he said. “Right now…”

Shayla looked confused. “We haven’t even ordered our food.”

“We’ll get something to eat on the way.”

Before Shayla could ask ‘on the way where’, Romeo grabbed her arm and left quickly.

The following morning, Kimberlyn and Desmond walked through a spectacular contemporary home in Midtown. As promised, Desmond and his longtime realtor were touring properties with Kimberlyn in and around Atlanta.

The 4-bedroom 5-bathroom home was by far the best on his list. Featuring stunning views of the Atlanta skyline, the four-level home looked worthy enough to be featured in a magazine. Desmond didn’t flinch at all at the $800,000 price tag. Kimberlyn and Jordan were worth every penny. He’d even done the same for Dana in spite of her criticizing him for never doing anything for her. Desmond didn’t play around when it came to taking care of his family. It was why he hustled as hard as he did.

“What you think about it?” Desmond asked, shoving his hands in his pockets. They had just returned to the entrance after a walk though of the entire property.

“I think it’s beautiful,” Kim said. “But you don’t think it’s too much space for me and Jordan?”

“K, he’s a growing boy. There can never be too much space for that.”

Kimberlyn shrugged and smiled. “Well, in that case I absolutely love it. And the location is perfect. Jordan won’t be too far from the park.”

Desmond told his realtor to draft up the paperwork and place an offer. The sooner he got Kimberlyn out of Cool’s crib the better. The longer she stayed there it felt like they were still attached to the motherfucker. The hatred in Dez’s heart for her ex was real.

Kimberlyn didn’t know it, but Desmond had even paid some niggas to handle Cool the minute he got down the road. He had life fucked up if he thought he was in for a cushy prison stay. Desmond didn’t forgive or forget easily.

Since Jordan was still in school by the time they finished looking at houses, Desmond decided to treat Kim to lunch. She was happy too because she hadn’t gotten a chance to eat breakfast before he picked her up.

Twenty minutes later, Desmond pulled into the lot of the Glenn Hotel. After valet parked his Benz truck, they entered Glenn’s Kitchen on the first floor. Kimberlyn’s mouth practically hit the floor when she saw Dana sitting at a table near the window.

“What’s she doing here, Desmond?” Kim whispered.

Dana looked equally shocked as she watched them approach her table. Desmond had her thinking they were having lunch together alone. Kimberlyn felt equally misled, because she wasn’t expecting it.

Desmond felt bad, but it was the only way to get the two of them together in a room. Because they were both the mother of his children, they all needed to come to mutual terms.

Desmond gestured for Kim to have a seat first. She did so unwillingly. Kimberlyn wasn’t feeling the icy stare Dana gave her. However, as long as she kept her hands to herself she was cool.

Desmond sat down afterward. “What’s all this?” Dana asked in a nasty voice. She was pissed with him for showing up with Kim’s rebound ass. She didn’t know what the hell he saw in her anyway.

“Yes, Desmond...What is all this?” Kimberlyn asked.

Dana wanted to slap the sarcasm out of Kim’s tone but she kept her composure. Desmond owed her an explanation first.

“My bad I had to surprise ya’ll with this visit but it was the only way to get us all together. Plus, I only wanna have to say this shit once.”

“Say what?” Dana asked. She rolled her eyes at Kim in displeasure; just the sight of her made Dana sick to her stomach. It wasn’t enough for Desmond to parade all over town with Kim, now he had to bring her along to their dates.

Kimberlyn shuffled uncomfortably in her seat. Desmond was finally starting to get back on her good side, then he pulls this shit. If she didn’t know any better, she’d think the house was just to butter her up for this moment. Niggas ain’t shit, she thought to herself.

Desmond turned to the mother of his daughter. “Dana, Kim is my girl now. I need you to respect my relationship with her.”

If looks could kill Desmond would have turned to stone. Dana was so upset by his words that she had to keep herself from grabbing the fork and stabbing him. Who the hell did he think he was shitting on her publically—especially in front of his new bitch? Desmond wasn’t thinking about respect when they fucked, or when she sucked his dick last week.

Desmond then turned to face Kimberlyn. “K, you gotta respect that I have to maintain a relationship with Dana. She has my daughter, and she’ll always be a part of my life.”

Kim grilled the shit out of Dana. She was tempted to spit in her face. All she could think about was Dana busting her window and cutting Jordan’s face. “As long as she knows her place, I’m good,” Kim said with an evil grin.

“Good. So you cool with that, K?” Desmond asked for reassurance.

  “Yup,” Kim said.

Desmond looked over at Dana. She hadn’t stopped staring daggers at Kimberlyn since they sat down. “Are you cool with that, Dana?”

Suddenly, Dana grabbed her drink and launched it at Kim! Her actions spoke for her response. She was so tired of Kim’s bougie ass that she could no longer hide it. Lemonade splashed all over Kim’s expensive Chanel dress. She wasn’t expecting for Dana to go from zero to one hundred. When an ice cube bounced off Kim’s head she lost it.

  “You fucking bitch!” she screamed.

Silver and dishes crashed onto the floor after Kim jumped over the table. She delivered blow after blow to Dana’s skull before Desmond finally pulled her off. Everyone in the restaurant was now staring at them strangely. They were once again creating a spectacle.

“What the fuck wrong with ya’ll asses?” Desmond yelled. He flung Kimberlyn so hard she nearly tripped in her heels. He was tired of both of them acting like hood rats. The shit was embarrassing. Besides, how would niggas in the street respect him if he couldn’t even control his bitches?

“No, what the fuck’s wrong with you?!” Kim rounded on him. “Why would you even bring me here with this bitch? You can’t ask me for respect and not give it in return! I told you to keep this crazy bitch away from me!”

“I got yo’ crazy bitch!” Dana said with a bloodied nose. It didn’t matter how many times Kim fucked her up, she kept on talking.

“I’m out of here. I done lost my mothafucking appetite anyway,” Kimberlyn said, walking off.

Desmond ran after her, and finally caught up when she got outside. “Now I’m the bad guy for wanting to keep the peace?” he asked.

Kim turned around and went in. “You are so full of shit, Desmond! Anybody with sense can see you’re still fucking with her! She only acting like that ‘cuz you giving her a reason to! How long are you gonna bullshit with me?” She searched his eyes for an answer.

When Desmond didn’t answer fast enough, Kim said, “That’s what I thought.”

She tried to walk off but he quickly grabbed her arm. “Wait a minute, Kim—”

“I don’t need you to pacify me,” she said, snatching away. “Besides, it ain’t like I ain’t fuck Cool a few days ago.”

Desmond’s eyebrow rose in skepticism. “Oh word?” he asked. It took everything in him not to slap the shit out of Kim. Had they not been in public, he just might have. Apparently, she wasn’t as innocent and loyal as she painted herself to be. “Like that then?” Desmond said, backing up.

He needed to put some distance between them before he hurt her. A part of him wanted to believe his ears were playing tricks on him. Desmond felt like he didn’t even know Kim. The nigga had shot her, robbed him, and practically ended his life. And she had the nerve to sleep with his ass. That, by far, was the ultimate betrayal.

“Don’t taste so good now does it?” Kim asked.

  “You foul as hell, K.”

  “Fuck you,” she said,
before walking over to a parked cab.

Desmond watched as she climbed inside and rode off. He wouldn’t dare chase after her knowing what she did.

“I cannot believe we’re married,” Shayla said, eyeing the shiny emerald-cut on her finger. Several months ago, when Romeo had given it to her, she wasn’t quite ready to be wifey. Yet something about today’s trials and tribulations made her feel a little less apprehensive.

Lying naked on a cow hide rug together in front of a fireplace the two were snuggled closely. Never in a million years would Shayla have thought she’d be in a cabin on top of the mountains in Iceland with the love of her life. Romeo’s surprises just seemed to get better and better.

Instead of taking the traditional wedding route, Shayla and Romeo had a private ceremony at the Skógarfoss waterfalls. They decided to have a big reception back home once the news was broken. But for now, they simply wanted to enjoy their wedding/honeymoon.

Shayla knew that her parents and friends might think she was foolish, but she didn’t care. She loved Romeo with every fiber of her being, and he was well worth the risk.

Plucking a red seedless grape from its root, Romeo fed it to Shayla sensually. His finger lingered on her lips for several seconds as he stared in her eyes. “You’re perfect. You hear me?”

Shayla leaned forward and kissed him. “Are we gonna tell everyone we’re married as soon as we get back? Or did you wanna wait a little while?” she asked.

“The sooner people know the better, right?”

Shayla shrugged. “I guess. My mom is gonna freak.”

  “Why ‘cuz she hates me?”

Shayla laughed. “No, because we didn’t invite her. And my mom doesn’t hate you,” she added. “I mean, she does think you’re a bad influence, but I wouldn’t quite say she hates you.”

Romeo kissed Shayla’s forehead, then her lips, then her neck. “Am I?” he asked.

  “Are you what?”

Romeo kissed her spot, causing shivers to run down her body. “A bad influence?”

They’d been fucking like horny teenagers since they got off the plane—but Shayla’s kitty still got wet like it was their first time. “Maybe,” she whimpered.

Romeo’s hand went down in between her legs. Ever so gently he kneaded the sensitive piece of flesh between his fingers. He knew just how to touch and turn Shayla on. They were married now; there was no going back.

Flames from the fireplace danced against the wall. From where they lay, they could clearly see the Northern Lights shining beautifully. The sight of it all was unlike anything Shayla had ever experienced. So was the orgasm that Romeo created with just the use of his fingers.

Shayla’s body quaked softly. She was already drenched by the time Romeo lowered himself at her waist level. “You mine forever now,” he said.

Shayla ran her fingers through Romeo’s soft brush waves and moaned. “You’d better mean that shit.”

Like a starving wild beast, Romeo feasted on the sweetness between her thighs. Shayla nearly lost it as he kissed, licked, and nibbled on her clit. His head game was epic, and the main reason she was so whipped in the first place.

Taking it upon himself, Romeo pinned one of her legs backwards. Her flexibility was such a turn on it made his dick harder. Once Shayla’s kitty was wide open and fully exposed, Romeo dunked his tongue deep inside. Drunk off her nectar, he kissed and suckled until she squirted uncontrollably. He didn’t stop there; flicking his tongue in a rapid motion against her bud, he made her bust a second time.

“Oh my god, Romeo, I can’t take it!” Shayla moaned. She tried to scoot away in surrender but he grabbed her tightly and held her in place.

“Yes, you can,” he whispered, crawling between her legs.

Shayla gasped in pleasure when Romeo slid deep inside. She was already soaked, so he slipped in with ease.

“Damn, this shit be grippin’,” he told her.

Shayla shivered when he kissed her neck and sucked on her earlobe. No man ignited her flame quite like Romeo. He was both sensual and aggressive with his strokes and touches. With every intense stroke, her pussy grew wetter and wetter. Romeo was a pro when it came to tapping her spot.

Squeezing on his firm ass cheeks, Shayla wrapped her legs tightly around his waist. Rocking his hips slightly, Romeo hit her with a death stroke good enough to leave her speaking in tongues.

“Damn, I’m ‘bout to cum again!” she bellowed.

Every so often he would slide out to the base before slamming back inside.

Shayla’s leg trembled violently as she climaxed a third time. She fell in love with him more each time he made her cum. When Romeo finally reached his peak, he released his load deep inside Shayla. He wouldn’t admit it, but he was hoping he’d get her ass pregnant again. Romeo had actually gotten used to the idea of being a father.

“I want you to move back home,” he said, rolling over next to her. Now that she was wifey, he needed her out of her parents crib and where he could monitor her. Romeo trusted Shayla; he just didn’t trust other niggas around her—especially her thirsty ass ex.

“Okay, I will,” she agreed, resting her head on his chest. Relishing the scent of his cologne, Shayla gently ran her fingers over his tattoos. Most of them were gang and street related, but they were sexy nonetheless.

Even though Romeo had his fair share of flaws, Shayla couldn’t stop asking herself why me? He had his pick of any model type chicks he wanted and he chose her. Why does he love me so much, Shayla wondered.

“How could you hate me so fucking much?!” Dana screamed at the top of her lungs. When Desmond popped up unexpectedly at her hotel door the following morning, she let him have it. She didn’t appreciate the way he dissed her for Kim. And she certainly didn’t appreciate ranking second in his life.

“Dana, chill with all the theatrics, man. It’s too early for that shit,” he said, stepping inside.

Dana didn’t give a damn. She’d let the whole twelfth floor know how she felt if that meant getting through to Desmond.

“I’ve held you down like she can’t even begin to imagine!” Dana continued. She was referencing the time he did two years after getting caught up on gun charges. “I’ve done nothing but love you, Desmond! I even fucked bitches with you just to fulfill your fantasies! I did everything for you! And this is how you do me?!” There were tears in her eyes as she went off. “What were you thinking trying to sit me down with that irrelevant ass bitch? I’m so sick of you disrespecting me for her!” Dana pointed her finger in Desmond’s face and he flipped.

“First off, get ya finger out my face ‘fore I break dat mufucka,” he warned her. Dana thought about challenging him but decided against it. “And what the fuck you mean how could I do some shit to you?” he asked. “Dana, open yo mothafuckin’ eyes! We been over damn near a year! Everyone else seems to know da shit but you!”

“I gave you over seven years of my life!” Dana screamed. “How can you throw it away for a bitch you barely knew seven months?!”

She wasn’t expecting him to say, “I’ve known her longer than seven months. ‘Bout six years ago to be exact. Back when me and you first got serious—when we were just kickin’ off the business—I came to Atlanta with my patnas. I met Kim here and we fucked around a couple weeks while me and you were together. Her son is biologically mine.”

Desmond quickly ducked after Dana threw the newspaper at him. Next was a shoe, and after that was an actual iron. If she didn’t chill, he’d be the one to have to come out of pocket for damages.

“I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FAITHFUL TO YOU, DESMOND!” she screamed. “I still ain’t even fuck another nigga since you left and you treat me like I’m shit on the bottom of your shoe! Constantly walking over me and disregarding my feelings! What about me?” she cried. “What that bitch got that I ain’t got?”

  “For one, maturity,” he said.

Dana sucked her teeth and rolled her neck. “Oh yeah? How’
s this for maturity? Next time I see that hoe I’m shootin’ at dat ass! And I don’t give a fuck if it’s broad day light and she with yo’ illegitimate ass son—”

Desmond viciously grabbed Dana and slammed her over the nearby desk. Her face hit the surface so hard that it instantly turned beet red. He didn’t take kindly to her threatening Kim or Jordan. She’d definitely crossed the line, and now it was time to put her ass back in place. Lately, Dana had been thinking shit was sweet, but sadly she was in for a rude awakening.

“You talk too fuckin’ much, bitch!”

Dana struggled beneath Desmond, but her effort was useless. She felt pathetic as he snatched her pants and panties down while keeping her bent over the desk.

“This what you want, right?” he asked. “A nigga to fuck you like you ain’t shit?”

“Desmond, you’re hurting my arm!” Dana cried out. He had her shit twisted at an unbearable angle, but he seemingly wanted to hurt her. It felt good to dog her ass like she’d been doing him for the last few months.

Desmond ignored Dana’s pleas as he mashed her face into the wood’s surface. For the first time ever, she actually didn’t want the d. As a matter of fact, she was outright afraid of him.

Desmond started to put something hard and heavy in Dana, but he decided not to. A nut would only further complicate shit.

Turning her loose, Desmond straightened up his clothes. A $2000 fit was now wrinkled. “Look around!” he yelled. “You in a fuckin’ hotel! I ain’t put you up in no crib down here! Go home, Dana!”

Still upset by the fact that he was choosing, she said, “I promise you will never see Destiny again!” she said, acting petty as usual.

Desmond headed to the door. “I ain’t worried ‘bout dem threats no mo’. I already got my people workin’ on a custody hearing. We’ll see how you act when you comin’ through me to visit her. Play with it if you want to, Dana. I can make ya life hell.” With that, he walked out the door giving her something to think about.
