Wherever Jamie Perron was, that's where I wanted to be...at least for now. A lot of people don't know what they want at twenty. Some people spend years searching for something and walk away empty-handed. I found something, something greater than I ever expected. Maybe I should consider myself one of the lucky ones.
The caffeine started to wear off, pure exhaustion sweeping over me. Lying beside me, Jamie flung a blanket over us.
"Promise me you'll be here when I wake up," I said with my eyes closed.
"I promise," he said and kissed my forehead.
As I was just about to drift off to sleep, I smiled as Jamie sang the most romantic Christmas ballads of all time. Yeah, this was where I wanted to be.
