  He let out a chuckle.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“I’m giving you my come hither look.” I raised my hand up again and wiggled my finger. “Come hither.”

He squinted his eyes at the wooden structure and walked around it and kicked it a few times and then cocked his head at me.

“It seems pretty sturdy.” I didn’t miss the shock in his voice.

“It will hold both of us, if that’s what you’re worried about.”

Instead of joining me, he leaned against the end of it and stared at me and grinned.

I let out a sigh and moved from my place in the center and crawled my way towards him on all fours. The closer I got to him, the bigger the grin got on his face.

  “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” I asked.

  “What’s that?”

“Me, begging.” I frowned at him as he gave me a smoldering look.

  “Is that what you’re doing?”

I let out a frustrated groan and sat down at the edge and when he moved away, I pulled him closer to me as I wrapped my legs around his quickly and fisted his shirt in my hands and pulled him on top of me, knocking his feet out from under his legs. I scooted back as he landed on top of me and had him right where I wanted him.

“Did you wrestle in high school?” he asked with suspicion as he let out an embarrassed laugh and rested his elbows beside my head.

  “Nope, ballet.”

I grabbed the back of his head and pulled his mouth to mine and moaned into his mouth as soon as our lips touched. Kissing him always reminds me of how he made love to me as if I were a delicate flower. He never rushes and takes his time exploring my mouth with his tongue and the way that he brushes his lips against mine and tugs at my bottom, and then top lip with his teeth, makes my insides turn to jelly.

“I could taste your sweet lips forever, if you’d let me, Gemma.”

“I kinda like you, Flynn, so I might let you.” I closed my eyes when he rested his forehead against mine and rolled me over to lay next to him, never letting our foreheads disconnect.

“I want you, Gemma. Don’t think for a second that I don’t and after the way you tortured me last night, I barely got any sleep.”

I leaned my head back and grinned at him.

“Please tell me you at least fondled me a little in my sleep.” I smirked and didn’t miss the blush come up on his gorgeous freckled face and the glint of gold in his green eyes as he grinned deeply. “You did.” I squealed with excitement. “While I was snoring, you were fondling me.”

“You’re absolutely adorable.” He lowered his mouth to mine and kissed me again, taking my breath away like he always does and I couldn’t help but to melt into him and enjoy these precious uninterrupted minutes.

He pulled away, both of us out of breath as he looked around the closet.

“When we start getting physical, ya know, after Christmas, I’m going to ravish you in here. This is the coolest room in the house.”

I nodded in agreement and felt a shiver run down my spine from his words and couldn’t wait for our future to start. I kissed him quickly and rose up and jumped down from the island and frowned at him because I didn’t want to leave the room.

“I better get back in there and finish dinner or no one will be eating.”

He rose up onto his elbows and gave me a curious look.

“That’s it? You’re not going to beg for sex?” he asked incredulously.

I nodded and then shook my head at him.

“You pretty much said no when we came in here.” I cocked my head at him. “Have you changed your mind?”

He shrugged. “I guess you’ll never know.”

He rose up and had a hurt look on his face and I let out a chuckle as he kept his head down, not looking in my direction. I stopped him by resting my hand on his chest.

“Why do I feel like you’re upset all of a sudden?”

He looked me squarely in the eyes and shrugged his shoulders.

“I have to leave Saturday morning for a job. That’s why I was running late last night because I had to get some work in after I finished the phone call. You’re going to be working all day tomorrow and I know you’re going to be worn out from working all day, so tomorrow night will be it, until I get back in a week, maybe two.”

It made me feel good that he was already missing me and he hasn’t even left yet and my heart was getting squeezed to death by the fact that I was going to miss him as well.

“We have the rest of the day and tonight. I’ll still be here when you get back. I’m not going anywhere.”

“Do you promise not to let another guy sweep you off our feet while I’m gone? No more one night stands?” He was oozing with jealousy and I didn’t know whether to feel flattered or mad.

“Can you make that promise as well?” I asked pointedly.

“Listen, I’m new to this whole boyfriend, girlfriend, thing, but yeah, I can promise you that.”

I placed my hand on my chest with fake shock and gasped.

“I’m your girlfriend?” I asked with sarcasm.

“Gemma.” he said, with a serious look.

I reached up and kissed him hard on the lips as he wrapped his arms around me and picked me up and leaned me against the wall. I loved his massive size and how he could toss me around like a baby doll and the ways that I plan on taking advantage of his strength down the road, had me moaning with pleasure.

“Your moans turn me on something fierce.” He growled out.

I reached down between his legs and felt just how turned on he was and slowly crawled down his body and placed my feet on the floor, not missing the breath he was holding.

“I’m not sure that I can wait another month for sex, Flynn.” I shook my head and left him to his own devices, knowing that it was going to take him a few minutes to make himself presentable in front of my siblings for dinner.

  ***

An hour later, we were all in the dining room, full from dinner, but getting started on dessert as Onyx started asking Flynn a lot of questions that have been weighing on him.

“All right, Ginger. I think it's time for you to tell us how you got our family ring back. I've been waiting for you and Gemma to work out the details and I have yet to see the ring or hear how you got it back.”

I wince every time Onyx refers to Flynn as Ginger, but they're both grown men and surely Flynn realizes by now that Onyx is only trying to bait him and he won’t fall for it.

Flynn wiped his mouth with his napkin and tossed it onto his plate and leaned up in his seat and addressed my brother.

“Ony,” Flynn smirked at my brother and, other than Monica, no one calls him Ony so he rolled his eyes at Flynn, getting the point. “I have shown it to Gemma, as you already know because you were standing there when I showed it to her and as far as how I ended up with it, Brett lost it to me in a poker game in Dubai. It took me years to track him down because he always seemed to be two steps ahead of me and I learned through tracking him, that he has a weakness for poker games that has a big purse. When I heard that he was invited to this particular poker game, I made sure to get an invite myself.”

I let out a gasp and couldn’t believe my ears.

“Are you serious?” I had no idea that Brett was a gambler. “Does he know that you were bringing the ring to us?” I asked with worry.

He shook his head and shrugged.

“As far as I know he doesn't, but your family ring should be the least of his worries right now. He was two million in debt to a sheik in Dubai and the sheik’s bodyguards escorted him out of the game after he went all in and lost all of his money to me, along with the ring.”

“You won the ring and two million from him in a poker game?” Onyx questioned with disbelief.

“No, by the time we finished the twelve hour long game, the pot had around 15 mill in it when I called Brett’s bluff, giving him no choice, but to go all in. Brett is quite the gambler and he’s very g
ood, but I’m better.” He gave us all a wink. “Since he didn’t have enough money on him to cover the bet, I knew he would add the ring to the pot, thinking he had me, and would win his money and the ring back.” Flynn leaned back in his seat and grinned really big. “That was the first time I ever had a royal flush and it took me days to quit grinning over my hand and the look of defeat on Brett’s face was… priceless.” Onyx raised his hand up for a high five and Flynn slapped his hand as I shook my head at how men will be men. “I arrived here three days later, still high with enthusiasm when we met.” He grinned at me, causing me to blush.

“Hashtag, he wants you.” Willow said, as everyone at the table groaned.

“How old are you? You’re the most annoying person I’ve ever met.” Onyx snarled out at Willow and glared at Ruby. “Did you really have to bring her? She has been driving everyone crazy all day long with her hashtag bullshit.”

“Hashtag, no one gets me; Hashtag, Ruby’s nicer than all of you.” Willow stated while glaring at everyone at the table.

“Willow, I’m sorry and I love you, but you’re starting to drive me crazy as well. I’ve had it with the hashtag comments.” Ruby said with reluctance and shook her head in shame as Willow stormed out of the room and out the front door.

“Hashtag, bye Felicia.” Onyx and Monica said at the same time.

All of us lowered our heads when Ruby gave all of us an admonished look as she got up to follow Willow out of the house.

“I hope she doesn’t come back.” Onyx mumbled and then glanced towards Blue. “Do me a favor, Blue, and please do not go to college and bring losers like that home for the holidays.”

Blue nodded. “I won’t. I thought she was funny at first, but after the first few hashtags, it started to get annoying. Not to mention, she kept telling you and Flynn how hot you both were.” He let out a chuckle. “She is obviously blind because she hasn’t mentioned my hotness yet.”

Blue quickly dodged out of the way when his girlfriend, Skyler, went to play punch him in the arm for his comment.

“Gemma, did you know that Blake Shelton had babies?” Ruby asked as she came back into the dining room. I looked behind her and didn’t see Willow thankfully.

“I didn’t know that Blake Shelton had gotten anyone pregnant.” Flynn had a confused look on his face.

“I thought Blake Shelton was a boy.” I cocked my head at Ruby, completely confused.

Ruby shook her head. “Evidently not. It looks like Adam Levine got him pregnant and Blake is a new momma to 5 adorable little kittens. One of them even looks like Adam.”

“Hashtag, I’m confused. Where’s Willow when you need her for the commentary?” Flynn was looking around the table with a look of dismay on his face.

Blue eagerly spoke up before I had a chance.

“Gemma and Ruby found two wild kittens in the alley behind the house last year. They tried to bring them into the house and domesticate them into house cats, but every time someone would open the door, they’d both run out of the house. Instead of forcing them to stay inside, they made a cat house, like a dog house, but for cats, for them in the back yard.”

“I bet Blake Shelton will come in now that he has babies.” I gave Ruby a hopeful look, but she shook her head at me.

“I doubt it. They seem to be one big happy family out there. I can’t believe that you didn’t know that Blake Shelton was pregnant. Adam Levine seems to be a great father already. He was giving the babies a bath and started giving Blake Shelton one as well when he finished cleaning the babies for her.”

Ruby sat down and grabbed the pumpkin pie and cut herself another piece and plopped a spoonful of whipped cream on top.

“I’m sorry but, now that you know Blake Shelton is indeed a female, are you going to change his, or to be more accurate, her name?” Flynn asked as Ruby and I pondered over his question. “Can you at least shorten their names to first and not first and last names?”

“Dude, they almost went with Sam and Dean Winchester or McDreamy and McSteamy.” Onyx rolled his eyes at us.

“I still think you should have named them Damon and Stefan Salvatore.” Monica decided to join the conversation.

“But Monica, if we had done that, Damon would be a mother right now. I think we named them right because Blake Shelton is a better mother than Damon ever would have been.” Ruby said with all seriousness as I agreed.

“Where’s Willow? I miss her already. She seems normal now.” Flynn let out a nervous chuckle.

“She went for a walk. She told me she needed some time to think.” Ruby replied without worry in her voice.

“You don’t have any siblings, do ya?” Onyx asked Flynn with a knowing look on his face.

Flynn shook his head. “No, what makes you ask?”

“Because if you did have siblings, you’d know that the naming of the cats really isn’t that odd and you wouldn’t be thinking that my sisters were bat shit crazy right now. I kept telling them that one of them was a female and they should have named it Shakira, but they didn’t believe me.” Onyx shrugged at Flynn.

I never considered that mine and Ruby’s conversation sounded crazy, but to an outsider, I couldn’t help but to let out a fit of giggles by the look on Flynn’s face and all that I wanted to do at the moment was kiss the surprised look off of his face.

“I’m sorry. I promise we’re not as crazy as we sound.” I looked down at my watch and remembered that he was leaving in a couple of days and we don’t have much time to spend with each other before he leaves for his job. “Wanna sneak off to the bedroom and let them clean up?” I grinned when he nodded at me and stood up and grabbed my hand.

“Your sister and I need to have a little chat, cleanup is all yours.” Flynn announced to the room as everyone let out a groan.

“We will clean up, but don’t forget that we are playing board games later.” Blue reminded me and I nodded in return and pulled Flynn behind me.

As soon as we reached my bedroom, I turned around and pushed him hard against the door.

“We have about thirty minutes to make out before the games begin.”

I didn’t give him a chance to answer me before I shoved my tongue down his throat and started groping him with my hands, starting to enjoy this little game of his called making out.

  CHAPTER TWELVE

“Okay, for the record, I will never picture Twister as a clean, family friendly, fun game ever again.”

I cringed when I saw the still shocked look on Flynn’s face from the disaster that just happened. I’m scared that I’m going to run him off because of my family who is usually normal, but this has been a crazy holiday and I blame Willow for the madness. I pray that Ruby follows through with her word and is on her way to the bus station to drop her friend off as we speak after the fight we all got involved in over her.

“I’m so sorry. I’ve never witnessed anything like that in my life and I swear, my family is normal. I can’t believe I did that because I’ve never punched anyone in the face before.”

I lifted the frozen bag of corn off of my hand and flinched when I tried to move my fingers and felt the pain creep back in as the numbness started to wear off. Flynn started kneading my hand tenderly with his fingers and glanced at me with concern.

“You didn’t break your hand, Rocky, it’s just a sprain, but I should probably wrap it for you to help keep it in place to help with the swelling.”

He walked into the bathroom and I heard him opening cabinets and let out a whistle when he found what he was looking for. He sat down on the bed and patted his leg for me to sit on his lap and I did what he silently asked.

“You really never hit anyone before? Could have fooled me by the way you decked her.” He glanced at me and started wrapping the bandage around my hand.

“No, and I feel horrible, but that is the one thing that you don’t say to me, and Willow went too far.” I could feel the anger festering again and I tried to get Willow’s voice out of my head as she spo
ke to me in Gollum’s voice, from the Lord of the Ring movies, saying ‘My precious’ while glaring at me from above while she and I were playing Twister with Ruby and Monica.

“I’m curious. How many times has that been said to you?” Flynn asked.

“Tons. Why?” I narrowed my eyes at him.

He shrugged his shoulders and finished with the wrap and draped his arms around me while I stayed sitting in his lap. He pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear and smiled at me.

“That was the most twisted game of Twister that I’ve ever seen and all of you looked like Skittles rolling around on the floor with your crazy hair colors. Red, blue, purple and blonde hair flying everywhere and I wasn’t sure if you or Monica had punched Willow, but when I saw you holding your hand, I knew it was you.”

I nodded my head and gave him an embarrassed grin.

It could have been the combination of Willow calling me ‘My Precious’ and her telling Monica that she could have Onyx with a snap of her finger if she wanted, that set me off and I knew that if I didn’t punch Willow, Monica would have and the fight would have been on for sure.

“I’ll agree that tonight wasn’t one of my finest moments, but that girl sets me off. She’s so damn annoying and I don’t like the way she looks at me or even you for that matter.”

“Ah, so it was out of jealousy. You know I’m not interested in her, right?”

He was staring at me with his penetrating gaze and was starting to make me feel a little uncomfortable, but I nodded to let him know that I knew he wasn’t into Willow.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” I went to stand up out of his lap, but he pulled me back down and held me tightly against his body and held onto me.

“I’m sorry, but I got a text from my friend that I’m doing that job for and I have to leave tonight instead. I’m only trying to remember everything about your beautiful face because I’m going to miss seeing you every day while I’m gone.”

My face softened and there he goes again, saying the right things to me to make my heart go pitter pat.
