I narrowed my eyes. “Jon . . . ”
Resting his elbows on his desk and his chin on his fists, he batted his eyes. “Yes?”
Before I could contain it, I laughed. “Never mind.”
I turned back to the email and hit ‘reply.’ Dear Ms. Walsh . . .
“Jordan?”
I looked up.
“I’m glad you’re home.”
Our eyes met.
“Yeah.” I smiled. “Me too.”
