I hope you enjoyed Tori and Jose’s story! This series represents two firsts for me—my first dedicated paranormal novella series and the first adult dragon story that I’ve designed the cover for by myself. I suppose there’s another first, too, in that it’s my first set of dragon-shifter stories set in the USA. (If you haven’t read them, my other dragon stories are all set in the UK and Ireland.) The idea for the Tahoe series actually came to me while I was “hiking” around Lake Tahoe on my treadmill. The scenery reminded me of the only time I had the privilege to visit Tahoe, about twenty years ago, and how beautiful it was. I could easily see dragons swooping over the lake, or diving in for a swim. The idea for Tori and Jose’s story came soon after, and I wrote The Dragon’s Choice in less than three weeks. (Which, for me, is super fast.) The novella format is fun in that everything goes at a much faster pace. It’s also great when you want something that you can read in a day or maybe two. I hope my readers enjoy this format as much as I did writing it.
For the time being, I have a total of three books planned for the Tahoe Dragon Mates series. However, if enough readers are interested and sales are strong, it’s possible I could extend it a few more since there are plenty of clans and characters to play with.
