Kendall's Mates Page 16

by Munro, Shelley

Ran hustled Kendall from the house and to the passenger side of the SUV.

Kendall glanced at him. “She could’ve at least waited until we’d eaten the brownies.”

Ran burst into laughter. “You’re right. Her timing sucked.” He rounded the vehicle and settled in the driver’s seat. “Mom makes superb brownies.”

Ran backed up and turned onto the road.

“Wait,” Kendall said. “Tate is coming.”

Ran stopped with the motor running, and Tate dived into the back seat, holding a container.

“Is that what I think it is?” Ran asked.

“Yes.” Tate grinned. “Mom approves of Kendall and sent her some brownies.”

“She approves of me?” Kendall shook her head. “Your mother is strange. I’d decided she hated me.”

“Let’s head to the house.” Ran continued driving. “It’s ready to move in now. You might like to see what we’ve done.”

“Where were you taking Kendall for dinner?” Tate asked.

“Why don’t we stop at the supermarket and stock the house with groceries? I mentioned to Sax I’d do a list, but I haven’t had a chance yet. How does a steak sound?”

“Works for me,” Ran said. “We can have brownies for dessert.”

15 The Ran And Tate Seduction

“Tate, don’t go,” Ran said. “Stay.”

“But it’s your turn with Kendall,” Tate murmured, keeping his voice low so Kendall didn’t overhear.

“We both want her, but what if she won’t accept us together? After today with Mom, I want to make sure Kendall is as committed as we are,” Ran said.

“You’re testing her dedication?” Tate sounded disapproving.

“The four of us are moving in together. We need to learn her boundaries.”

“I don’t know.” Tate shifted his weight from foot to foot and held his normal impulsiveness at bay when Ran sensed he wanted to holler yes. “It doesn’t feel right after the crap Mom pulled.”

“I’ll ask her if you can stay.” Ran stalked to the doorway of one of the bedrooms.

“Kendall, I asked Tate to stay for dinner. I’d like him to stay for the night, if that’s all right with you.” Ran watched her closely.

Kendall frowned. “Are you asking if you can both spend the night with me in the same bed?”

“I love me an intelligent woman.” Relief filled Ran. She understood what they wanted without a load of discussion. “Yes or no?”

  Kendall’s cheeks paled.

“Either answer is the right one.” Ran reached for her. He cupped her face with his hands and kissed the tip of her nose. “This is your decision. There is no pressure for you to answer either way.”

Kendall let out a sniff—a feminine, ladylike one. “But I have to decide yes or no.”

“There needs to come a point when you trust us. We’ve told you what we want, and not one of us has changed our minds. We want you.”

“And I thought I’d clarified I was okay with the direction of our relationship. My answer is yes. Let me know if I’m putting too much pressure on either of you.”

Ran’s eyes widened as surprise stabbed at him. “You little minx. Are you making fun of us?”

  “Never,” she said solemnly.

The rest of the evening passed with teasing and laughter. They cooked pasta together, ate and did the dishes.

“Let’s go to bed,” Ran announced.

  “Impatient much?” Tate asked.

“I’m nervous, and the longer we delay, the more jittery I’ll get.” Ran purposely avoided his brother’s grin in case he laughed. The truth, he was looking forward to getting his hands on Kendall.

Kendall stood and held out her hand to Ran. “Let’s do this. I bet I can strip quicker than you and Tate.” She darted into the largest bedroom, her giggles infectious.

“That, I didn’t see coming,” Tate said. “Let’s go.”

Ran and his brother charged after Kendall. They entered the bedroom to see Kendall toss her bra. Next went her jeans and her lilac-colored panties. When she straightened, breathless from her rushing, and delightfully naked, she blushed under Ran’s stare. A quick glance to his left told him his brother was staring too.

  “You’re stunning,” Ran whispered.

  “Gorgeous,” Tate confirmed.

“You’ve seen me before,” Kendall said to Tate.

“Not with the light on.” Tate elbowed Ran. “Go get her.”

Ran unbuttoned his shirt as he strolled toward her. Her blue eyes sparkled, and she wore none of the diffidence he’d seen in her when they’d first met.

“Strip,” Kendall ordered. “I didn’t get to see Tate either, and I’m very much looking forward to ogling you too.”

“I was so sure you’d be timid when it came to sex,” Ran said, surprised.

  “She isn’t shy,” Tate confirmed.

  “You could have warned me.”

“I told you,” Tate said. “But I didn’t offer details. It’s not polite to discuss intimacies. I never kiss and tell. At least not until we make love to Kendall together.”

“Which means I can chat with either of you about the other,” Kendall mused.

Ran yanked off his jeans and underwear, fiercely glad he’d gone barefoot as soon as they’d arrived home. He swept Kendall into his arms and tossed her on the bed. Unable to resist, he rocked against her, his cock already a hard bulge of desire.

He wrapped his arms around Kendall and settled in to kiss her. In his peripheral vision, he saw Tate approach the bed. Ran lifted his mouth and brushed Kendall’s blonde hair from her face. “Tate’s joining us now. Last warning, okay?”

“Yes.” Kendall turned her head to smile at Tate. “Do I get a kiss from you too?”

Ran skimmed his fingers over the curve of a breast while he watched Tate kiss Kendall. Unable to resist, he dipped his head and sucked her nipple into his mouth. With his mouth busy, he let his hands wander lower.

Nerves had danced through Kendall’s stomach from the moment Ran and Tate asked her to sleep with them at the same time. But now, lying on the bed naked, with two of the Hallsten brothers, her trepidation faded, replaced by excitement.

While Tate continued to kiss her mouth, Ran bit her nipple, the sensations light and exquisite.

“That is so good,” she whispered once Tate parted their lips.

“Imagine if Sax was here too.” Tate’s words darted hot need straight to her pussy. She shuddered, feeling embarrassingly wet.

“Where did you get these scars?” she asked Tate when she noticed the parallel lines on his hip.

“A fight,” he said. “When I was young and stupid.”

Ran snorted. “I had to save him.”

“Sax too.” Tate’s fingers busily stroked and tugged on her nipple. “Our mother disapproved of Sax, but he ran to the nearest house and phoned her. He told her we were in trouble. By the time our mother arrived, Ran and Sax had scared off my attacker.”

“How did they do that?” Kendall asked, fascinated by this glimpse into their past.

“Sax shouted that he’d called our mother,” Ran said. “The two bears…ah, kids ran off.”

  Kendall frowned.

Tate stroked the spot between her brows. “Are you frightened of our mother?”

“She is scary, but then, so is mine. I do better with an ocean between us.”

“Mom likes you,” Tate said. “You’ll see.”

“I do not wish to discuss parents any longer,” Kendall stated. “It puts me out of the mood.”

Ran tickled her ribs, and a surprised laugh escaped her. “Not allowed. It’s my turn.”

He tweaked her nipple and replaced his fingers with his mouth, drawing strongly. Tate echoed him by sucking on her other nipple.

The naughtiness shoved her into a different mindset, and she coasted on the dual pleasure as hands caressed, mouths sucked and nibbled.

Ran climbed off the bed, but Tate distracted her when h
e gripped his cock and lazily stroked. Pre-come beaded on his tip and he crawled closer, painting her lips with his essence. Her tongue darted out to taste, their gazes meeting.

“Take me inside your mouth,” Tate instructed. “Lick the head of my cock.”

The mattress moved, announcing that Ran was back. Kendall froze, her gaze seeking Ran. She half-expected anger or jealousy because it was his night, and she was playing with Tate. Instead, she received a broad grin and her anxiety seeped away.

“You don’t need to worry with any of us.” Ran read her mind with ease. “We’re fine with whatever attention you give us.”

Tate pulled back, allowing her to speak.

“I want none of you to feel left out.” The truth wrapped up in words. She’d committed herself to these men.

“We mightn’t have known you for long, but we’re excellent judges of character,” Tate said. “Mouth. Open.”

Smiling, Kendall took his cock into her mouth again and explored the head with her tongue.

A hand settled on her hip and another gently encouraged her to part her legs. She couldn’t see Ran because Tate filled her sight, but Ran’s touch loaded her with joy. A finger tested her readiness and skimmed her clit. A jolt ran through her.

  Tate yelped. “Watch the teeth.”

Kendall’s eyes flew open, and she stared at Tate, trying to communicate her apology. She sucked on him and concentrated when Ran added his mouth to the equation and licked her clit.

Soon pleasure shimmered through her, frisking every part of her body. She concentrated on the cock in her mouth, licking and sucking enough to tease Tate but not get him off.

“Son of Nanuk,” Ran gritted out. “You taste sweet.”

Kendall’s ears caught the ripping of foil even as she mourned the loss of sensation from Ran’s mouth.

“Sorry, darlin’, but I’ve run out of patience. This will be quick, but I’ll make it up to you. On your hands and knees so we can play with you.”

Tate pulled back and helped her reposition herself on the bed. Seconds later, Kendall felt a pressure at her entrance. Ran pushed into her, sliding easily until he was balls deep. He allowed her a moment before he pulled back and slammed into her again.

“Open your mouth, sweet Kendall,” Tate demanded.

She complied, and his cock slipped into her mouth.

Ran gentled his strokes, but set a rapid pace. Frustration filled her since she found it difficult to rock into Ran’s thrusts while dealing with Tate’s cock.

Ran seemed to read her mind, and he used his finger to tease her clit. With that, everything flowed together in Kendall’s mind. Ran’s thick cock filled and massaged her to perfection. His finger teased her clit while Tate’s cock stroked into her mouth. She relaxed, allowing Tate to set the pace.

“Son of Nanuk, I’m close,” Ran muttered.

The words acted like a prod on Kendall. She swallowed, and Tate cried out, his cock pulsing without warning, spilling his come down her throat. He pulled back, a blast of semen striking her chest in a creamy rope.

Kendall moaned, Ran’s fingering of her clit almost painful yet so, so good she shuddered in delight. Ecstasy clawed at her, and then she was flying, her channel clenching around Ran’s cock.

Ran cried out as Tate’s mouth fastened around one of her nipples, drawing hard and extending the rapid spasms of her pussy.

Kendall’s arms quivered, and she fell forward. Tate released her breast and stroked her face, his expression tender. For an instant, his irises looked golden but once she focused they were the normal blue. She hadn’t asked Fiona. Must do that soon.

Ran pulled free and dealt with the condom before he settled on her other side. Tate turned her over and rubbed the creamy marks on her breasts into her skin.

“Ours.” Ran claimed her in a sleepy voice.

  “Ours,” Tate confirmed.

Both men sounded delighted with the fact, so Kendall closed her eyes and drifted, happier than she’d been for a long, long time.

  * * * * *

The days settled into a routine, passing rapidly until Kendall had spent two months in Churchill. Tourists came to see the beluga whales massing in the river mouth, and she became used to hearing a mix of accents in the café.

The Hallsten brothers moved into the house with her. Sax had a room, Ran and Tate shared and Kendall took possession of the largest bedroom. Some nights she spent with one brother and other nights all three brothers slept with her. Sometimes there was splendid, awe-inspiring sex, and at other times, they cuddled and talked of their hopes for the future, the events of the day, or of excursions in and around Churchill. Sometimes, Ran read to them—their current read a best-selling contemporary romance.

In private, they were a committed quartet while in public, they were friends and roomies. The three brothers were protecting her from gossip, she realized, hurt at first until she spoke with Fiona.

Her mother resorted to terse daily texts while Kendall kept away from Ran’s and Tate’s mother.

Emily’s uncle—after his sister’s prompting—had departed Churchill to enter rehab. He’d left his sister in charge, but she didn’t interfere, having declared that Kendall and Emily were drawing in the customers. She didn’t want to fix anything that wasn’t broken.

All in all, she was happy and satisfied with her life. Content in a way she hadn’t been for years.

Kendall took a moment between the breakfast orders to check on the food cabinet. The sandwiches, cookies, muffins, and cakes sold faster than she could make them.

“Kendall,” a masculine voice shouted, demanding attention. “Great breakfast again. I always order the special. I haven’t been disappointed yet.”

  Jamie Anders.

Kendall forced a polite smile. “Thank you.”

“See you tomorrow,” Jamie said and left with his brothers.

Kendall scowled after them. Since their first and second meetings, the brothers had been polite and pleasant, but their attention prickled her skin, and not in a good way.

The café door opened, and Fiona hurried inside out of the wind.

Kendall had learned that the summer weather could turn at an instant although they hadn’t suffered through another snow storm. Thank goodness, since Ran and Tate were currently at the cabin with some of their building crew. Progress was much faster than she’d expected, despite the isolation of the lodge.

“You’ll scare away the customers if you scowl like that,” Fiona said. “Bother. I’d hoped you’d have muffins left. We’re selling a shipment of vegetables, and I promised Kirk and Arve I’d buy them morning tea.”

“I have a batch in the oven. They’ll be ready in ten minutes.” She glanced at her watch. “No, five minutes.”

“I’ll wait,” Fiona said. “I saw Emily in line for vegetables, but I told her we’d saved you a box. Arve offered to drop it off later.”

“Come through to the kitchen. I’m making a pot of tea.”

Fiona pulled a face. “Could I have coffee instead?”

Kendall chuckled, already moving to pour Fiona a cup of freshly brewed coffee. She handed it over and led the way into the kitchen.

“Why were you frowning at the door when I came inside? It made me feel unwelcome.” Fiona’s grin hinted at teasing.

“Jamie Anders and his brothers,” Kendall said.

  “Are they bothering you still?”

“No, they’re very polite when they come in for breakfast. But the way they look at me gives me the heebie-jeebies.”

Fiona shrugged. “They have a reputation as brawlers, but they’re always pleasant to me.”

“Maybe I have an overactive imagination.”

The oven timer buzzed, and she removed three lots of muffins.

“Yum,” Fiona said. “I’ll take two of each kind.”

The rest of the day was frantic, and Kendall kept busy baking cookies and more muffins. She started two pots of soup for the following day. A red lentil and tomato sou
p for vegetarians and a chicken and vegetable soup for the meat-eaters.

Sax picked her up at three. “I need to choose colors for the lodge bedrooms and public rooms. Want to help?”

“Sure. How are Ran and Tate going with the building?”

“I got through to Ran. They’ve marked out the building footprint, and poured the foundations and intend to do the framework tomorrow.”

“Did they say how they’re enjoying camping?”

“Don’t feel sorry for them,” Sax said. “They’re having an exciting time. Ran told me there is a polar bear male hanging around and they had to chase him off with air horns.”

  “Isn’t that dangerous?”

Sax reached across to squeeze her hand. “Don’t worry. Remember that Ran and Tate grew up here. They know how to handle themselves.”

“What do you want for dinner?” she asked.

“Why don’t we have a double pea curry for a change? That’s quick and we can cook together. I enjoy that.”

Sax pulled up at their house, and she leaned across to snatch a kiss. She caught a flash of movement in her peripheral vision but decided it was her imagination when she climbed out of the SUV.

“One of the tourists saw the Northern lights last night,” she said. “Did you hear anything?”

“I didn’t, but we could go for a drive later tonight—once it’s dark—to see if they appear.”

  “I’d love that.”

“It might be late,” Sax warned.

“It doesn’t matter. I have a day off tomorrow.”

“Lazy morning sex,” Sax said. “Great plan.”

Kendall opened her mouth, then shut it because the idea sounded good to her. They were all busy in the mornings, and sleep-ins were rare.

Later that night, after dinner, they settled in to watch a movie. They decided on an old Indiana Jones adventure. Sax put his arm around her shoulders and drew her close. His spicy scent filled her with contentment. She wasn’t certain about staying in Churchill, especially through the negative temperatures of the winter, but one thing she never worried about was her relationship with Sax, Ran and Tate.

It was almost ten when the credits rolled for the close of the movie.
