Special Forces: Operation Alpha: Mae Day (Kindle Worlds Novella) Page 5

by Anne Conley

Gripping her hair at the low ponytail she had at the base of her neck, Jason pulled her head up. Mae gasped, letting out something feral that made Jason almost let go.

He rocked against her, the sounds of their bodies joining interspersed with their grunts and groans of pleasure.

This was everything Jason had ever wanted. Right here. Laid out across her table. Just like this.

Mae was perfection. Everything about her sang to Jason as he rocked in and out of her sweetness. He’d gone down on her three times yesterday to make up for the fact he wouldn’t fuck her, and every time had left him with the dichotomous sense of satisfaction at bringing her pleasure as well as the disappointment he couldn’t sink inside her like he wanted.

Well, pound inside her like he wanted.

Jason realized that was what he was doing now while he’d gotten lost in his own thoughts. He was pounding, gentleness be damned, and the noises she made told him she liked it.

  Holy crap.

  She liked this.

Arranging her hands so she grasped her own elbows behind her back, he kept a tight hold on her hair and used his free hand to smack her round ass, leaving a bright-red handprint on the pristine white flesh.

Mae let out a low moan at the sharp contact, but her pussy clenched around him, and he hissed his pleasure right before he did it again.

He could feel the beginning of her climax as she started pulsing around him, her legs quivering.

  That was all it took.

Jason emptied himself inside her, letting loose a roar of triumph. Triumph he’d found Mae, he’d met her, he’d taken her.

  And she liked it.

  She liked him.

  She liked this.

Jason now had everything he’d never realized he wanted.

  Chapter Seven

Monday found Jason swamped with his new position in the company. He was interviewing people for security guard jobs, as well as talking to Evan and Jordan Rocco, the guys with Pierce Securities who were supposed to be helping him get his feet wet. Jordan was a former Marine, like him, and Evan was a computer wiz who was helping him update software and order the right video cameras and stuff.

They were doing a walk around the offices, determining placement of cameras on each floor. When they got to Mae’s floor, he caught her watching him and winked in her direction.

Jason had been carrying around the USB drive the bad guy had left in her computer all day. Might as well figure out what to do with it.

“Uh, I have a question for you two. Mae said one of the guys left this in her computer that night. She didn’t tell the cops about it because there was a weird agent questioning her. Me, too, actually. He gave off some vibes neither of us really cared for. Do you have any way of knowing what it is?” His computer savvy-ness left a lot to be desired. Just another thing he needed to beef up for this job.

Evan took the drive and flipped it over in his palm. “Why haven’t you turned it in to someone different?”

Jason shrugged. “Not sure, honestly. I just have a gut feeling about that guy, and he said if we had anything to turn it over to him specifically. I don’t trust him. Neither did Mae.”

“What sort of agent was it?”

“He didn’t say, which led me to believe it was CIA.”

“But CIA doesn’t do domestic stuff like this.”

“Exactly,” Jason agreed. “Which makes me think this isn’t domestic.”

Evan twisted his mouth in a thoughtful look. “Let me look at it in your office and make a few phone calls. I know a guy who can tell me if he’s legit or not. What was his name?”

  “Agent Harper.”

  “Common enough.”

  “Right.”

Evan left him with Jordan, and Jason’s eyes landed on Mae as she worked.

“Excuse me a second,” he muttered to Jordan as he strode over to her and placed a chaste kiss on her shoulder. “You doing okay?”

She nodded, filing through paperwork. “I’m doing awesome. I just got a promotion.” Her smile was ridiculous, lighting up all of Jason’s insides, and he couldn’t help but return it.

“You want to grab lunch in my office? I have an office now, you know. You can tell me all about it.” It was stupid, but he was proud of that little sign of success. He didn’t think he’d ever have a job with its own office, yet here he was.

“Sure,” she breathed at him in a whisper.

He squeezed her shoulder, wanting to do so much more, but he restrained himself, walking back over to Jordan to continue their conversation.

Back up at his office, Jason followed Jordan inside just as Evan was getting off the phone, his laptop open in front of him.

“Looks like your guts were right. Dude’s nowhere. That’s not to say he isn’t affiliated with dark ops, which doesn’t exist, or so ‘they’ say. There are really a lot of reasons he wouldn’t be on my guys’ radar. But at this point, I’d say you did the right thing.” Evan swiveled his chair back to the computer and clicked some keys. “It looks like the USB drive used her computer to clone the server. There’s some rather sophisticated software on this tiny thing, and it looks like it has the capabilities to hack into the server here, so it’s a good thing nobody got their hands on it.” He looked up at Jason. “The question is now, what to do with it. If you can’t trust the quote unquote CIA guy, then who do you give it to? I would hang on to it just a bit longer. See what happens. But that’s just me.” He clicked some more keys, staring at his screen. “In fact, I know another guy, used to be a Navy SEAL, and he’s good. Better than me even. Let me send this to him and see what he can come up with.”

“Is Mae safe? Will they come looking for her?” Jason had to ask. If the technology was that big of a deal, somebody had put a lot into getting into her computer.

“Who’s to say they were targeting her computer? Maybe it was just any computer on the floor. It appears the server is what they wanted access to.” Evan clasped his hands together behind his head and leveled a stare at Jason. “Are you involved with her?”

Without hesitation, Jason replied, “Yes. I am. And she won’t be endangered because I did something stupid.”

“Well, my gut is with you. Don’t hand this drive over to Harper. Keep an eye on her, and don’t tell anybody about this until the investigation shakes out.” Evan pocketed the USB drive.

They spent the rest of the morning going over notes about security cameras before Jason shooed them out the door for his lunch date.

Jason heard her cheerful voice as she greeted his secretary before she shut down for lunch, and the sound of her tinkling laughter at something they’d shared sent a shock of lust to his groin. He smiled at the fluttery feelings inside himself at this woman.

  She was it.

Mae waltzed in with a cloth grocery bag on her arm. “I brought lunch for you,” she said. “I hope you like soup and sandwiches.”

Holding out his arms, he beckoned for his lap. “Shut the door and come here. Tell me about your new promotion.”

She complied, eagerly slipping onto his lap, and he wrapped her in an embrace, loving her sweet smell and soft curves, right where they belonged.

“Well, Mr. Amir called me in first thing this morning and offered me an account manager position. He admitted I was probably a little young for it, but I had showed perseverance by coming back after the incident.” Mae utilized air quotes, and Jason chuckled a little. That was how Mr. Amir had referred to the bomb plot and hijacking when speaking to him, too. “I told him I would do a probationary period to see if I liked it. It’s less work but more responsibility, you know? I’m not sure I want all that, but he offered a pay raise I couldn’t turn down.”

Jason liked that Mae wore skirts. He was mildly distracted by the fact she was wearing a knee-length, flippy thing he could slip his hands up easily.

“He sees something in you that’s valuable to the company. Don’t undervalue yourself.” Jason slid his hand up her thigh, feeling th
e soft skin pebble into goose bumps under his touch. She relaxed into him, curling her body just right. “You’re smart, driven, and a dependable employee. You don’t leave until your work is done. I imagine that’s rare for a boss to find.”

His other hand couldn’t stay idle, and he allowed it to wander, slipping inside her top to play with her tits. Jason had a mild fascination with the creamy globes she insisted on caging up with lace and satin.

Relaxation gone, Mae arched into his touch, pressing her ass against his erection with a whimper as he slipped his fingers under the edge of her panties.

Sitting behind his desk in his closed office, with his hands full of his sweet, gorgeous, smart girlfriend, who was his and his only, Jason marveled at his luck.

Mae whimpered and leaned into his touch. “More, Jason.”

  Yes. Life was fucking fantastic.

  Chapter Eight

The next few days with Mae were spent with random text messages. Jason was still trying to learn the little things about his girl, interspersed, of course, with some steamy lunch interludes in his office.

J: What’s your favorite food? Enquiring minds want to know.

M: Hmmm … It depends. I really like Thai food, but I never cook it, even though I have a Thai cookbook at home. You?

J: Aside from the obvious, I’m a pretty basic guy. I like hamburgers and meatloaf. But I love anything I don’t have to cook.

M: LOL. What’s the obvious? You lost me on that.

J: Nothing tastes as good as your pussy.

Jason laughed at Mae’s lack of response. He saw the dots bouncing around, then nothing, then dots, then nothing again, as she couldn’t think of anything to say. Normally, he wouldn’t say stuff like that to her, but she was unbelievably precious when she blushed, and talking like that made her blush profusely. In fact, if he were in the same room as her, he’d totally be watching her reaction because that blush always made him hard.

J: What are you doing now?

M: Reading training manuals for my new job. *yawn*

He was proud of her for the promotion to account manager. It was going to put her on a different floor and give her an office, along with a substantial pay raise. It would also give her opportunities to travel and schmooze the clients. He wasn’t sure about that part, but he put it aside knowing he was being an overprotective asshole.

The next day, Jason resumed his texting.

  J: What are your hobbies?

M: Reading and TV, mostly TV. I’m a sucker for TWD and GoT, I can binge watch reruns all day long. How about you?

Mae was always turning his questions around on him, and he assumed it was to get to know more about him as well. It certainly wasn’t because he was asking thought-provokers.

J: I work out a lot. It’s not a vanity thing, it’s more because it’s a good habit I picked up in the Marines and I don’t want to lose it. Other than that, not much. I guess I watch a lot of TV, but not because it’s great or anything. I have recently discovered something amazing that I love doing, and I hope to be doing more of her soon.

Jason couldn’t resist that last jab. Lately, his texts had started out innocent but inadvertently became racy, as if his brain got the intel it wanted but was diving back in for some dirty fun. He could definitely get on board with that.

  **

The next day, Mae instigated the text messaging early in the morning, and it made Jason’s blood run hotter than lava. His phone dinged as he was going over the monitors for the new cameras that had been set up with Evan, who was tweaking the quality of the videos.

Jason looked at it, then made sure nobody could see the picture big as life on his screen before looking at it again.

Mae was sitting at her desk, her head cut out of the picture, but a very clear, high-definition image of her chest filled his tiny phone screen. She wore a white button-down shirt, with enough buttons undone to show off a pretty, lacy red bra. It was mouthwatering in its seduction yet alluring in its innocence. She wore a black choker ribbon around her neck, and Jason wondered if she realized what that signified. His erection was instant.

“Hey, man, you listening?” Evan asked.

Jason snapped his attention to the guy who was helping him out. “Yeah. Sorry.” Putting his phone away, he made a mental note to get her back for that one.

“I wanted to let you know that flash drive wasn’t just a drive. We now know it definitely cloned the server. Whoever paid those guys gave it to them to basically run software that sent a copy of Amir’s server someplace in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I’ve never seen anything like it. I managed to put a worm in it and send it to the servers, but it looks like they’ve had a couple weeks of gathering information on you guys.” His features softened. “But it doesn’t look like anyone here is in any immediate danger.”

“What do I do about that?” His mind quickly turning from Mae’s textapades, Jason’s sudden alarm trickled through his body, filling him with doubt. He was not capable of dealing with this shit.

“Nothing. It’s handled. But they did have access to your servers for almost three weeks, so if they were paying attention, they probably have passwords, calendars, all the digital documents, basically anything being held on that server. Take it to the boss man.”

Jason would have to do that because he had absolutely no idea what to do with his newfound knowledge.

“That’s all for now. Let me know what he says, I’ll help in any way I can.” Evan left the office with a mild knock on the door, and Jason braced himself to give Mr. Amir the news.

  **

A couple of hours later, a ding on his phone signaled another image. Jason took a deep breath and looked, thankful Evan and Jordan had left for the afternoon.

And holy Christ was he glad he was alone.

This picture was taken from under Mae’s desk, where the screen was filled with an image of her thighs spread wide, the crotch of a pair of red lacy panties beckoning him from between her lush legs.

J: Get your fine ass to my office for lunch. NOW.

He’d tried to be a decent human being, but it was Wednesday and he hadn’t been with her since Sunday. Jason had never had issues with control before Mae, and the fact he wanted her constantly should have bothered him, but it didn’t. It just made him want her more.

By the time she made it to his office, he’d already gone over every experience they’d had since Monday in detail, reliving them in his head. She’d started taking her lunches with him, and Monday, he’d fingered her into a moaning orgasm that had been bliss to watch. After she’d gone back to work, he’d managed to rub one out while smelling his fingers before Evan and Jordan got back. Tuesday, he’d eaten her. Twice. And then sent her on her way, denying himself the satisfaction of her touch because he thought Evan had suspected he’d done something the day before.

But today, Jason didn’t give a shit. Evan and Jordan weren’t coming back, and he was going to let loose on Mae. She’d been hinting she could take things a little rougher than he’d given her over the weekend, and his blood pounded in his ears to even imagine it.

So by the time she got up to his office, he’d worked himself into a frenzy, barely having the wherewithal to make sure his new assistant had left for lunch before locking the door behind Mae and slamming her into the wall with his hands up her skirt.

  **

Mae had known she was poking the bear when she sent him those pictures. She’d actually second-guessed herself a little because he hadn’t responded to the first one. And when he’d demanded she come to his office, she’d been scared he was mad about it.

  But not anymore.

Jason’s kiss devoured her as soon as she walked in the door, and his fingers pushed aside her panties and delved into her heat as if they were meant to be there. No polite insistence, no, they powered into her pussy so hard, she hissed loudly at the invasion. He swallowed her noises as he jackhammered his hand in and out of her, kissing his way down to her breasts, where he deftly u
nbuttoned two buttons and pushed her tits out of her bra so they jutted out, nipples erect and proud in the cool air.

  Then, he sucked on them.

Her breath was gone. Mae was moaning her encouragement while he pressed on that spot inside her, rubbing enthusiastically as his thumb flicked around her clit. This wasn’t romance. This was him getting her off as fast as possible.

Which he did. He clamped his mouth over hers in a heated kiss, swallowing her cries as she trembled in his arms. He held her against the wall with his body as his mouth made love to hers, while his hands roamed her body, landing on her thighs.

Jason lifted her legs and wrapped them around his hips before undoing his belt and unfastening his pants. He ripped the condom foil with his teeth, rolled it on, and didn’t even nudge her entrance before delving inside to the hilt.

Exhaling a low growl in her ear, he adjusted his grip on her. She was full, stretched deliciously to her limits. He lifted her knees on his arms, spreading her wide, still impaled in her. Into her ear, he whispered, “You shouldn’t have sent those pics. Now I’m about to lose my mind.”

Jason lifted and dropped her, and as he did, she felt herself stretching around him, the head of his cock stroking that spot inside her. She scrabbled at his back, suckling on his neck, scratching and grabbing everything she could. Her inner walls stretched around him as he pistoned into her, pulsating and clenching as he raised and lowered her in time with his own hip thrusts.

This was not polite. This was not lovemaking. This was fucking. And it was hard and fast.

Jason’s face was red, his veins bulging in his forehead and neck as he held Mae up and slammed his massive cock into her. It should have been painful, but it was wonderful. Every crash against her clit was a celebration, sending a shudder of sensation through her body. Her toes were curled so hard she had cramps in them, but she didn’t care. Mae only wanted him to lose himself in her.

  That’s all she ever wanted.

“Come with me,” he demanded in her ear, a low growl she felt as much as heard. And her body responded—her breaths quickened and words were lost.
