“Frederick and Mandy. They flew in together to be here for the birth of the baby. They also offered to join my staff in London.”
“Did you ask them to join your staff?” LaShawn said.
“No...their decision came as a complete surprise to me. Much like the news that Mandy shared when she told me in confidence that she’d started dating Frederick.”
Everyone had been surprised to learn that Frederick had won Mandy’s heart. However, LaShawn wasn’t surprised to learn that Frederick and Mandy wanted to follow William to London because they didn’t call William Golden Boy for nothing. Everyone loved him and it made sense that his staff would want to follow him over the Atlantic if they could.
Moving away from the bed, in the direction of the door, LaShawn waved her hand at her daughter and William. She didn’t want to kiss Pam because she would never leave the room, and she knew they needed this time alone before the surgery.
“I’ll see you later mom.” She said, and LaShawn nodded, then she closed the door behind her.
On a chair in the room, lay a pair of scrubs and other O.R. garb. William looked at the items, then back to the woman he dearly loved. His mouth widened with a smile then he leaned forward to kiss Pam on her soft lips. Not once, but twice in his life he’d found love. Along with that love he was becoming a new dad again.
