PROLOGUE
The room was cold, but fire seemed to rage underneath the blankets as Dan and his step mother Julia rubbed their bodies against each other. It had been inevitable, and everything from their initial sexual tension to their currently limited circumstances had been leading them in this direction. Dan’s cock was rock hard, and he thrust it against the folds of Julia’s warm opening.
“Oh god,” said Julia, moaning. “Go ahead honey. It will be our little secret…”
That was more than enough for Dan. He moved his cock forward and passionately thrust it inside the wet and inviting entrance of her womanhood. She moaned even louder, and he felt his mind fog over with desire as his hips began to thrust into her forbidden and illicit cunt.
CHAPTER 1
“Oh wow, this is perfect!” Derek exclaimed as the four of them drove up.
Dan smiled. His step brother’s enthusiasm was nothing new to him. All of them had been looking forward to this weekend for the entire season, and now that it had finally arrived, the mountain seemed to be even better than they had imagined it.
“Yep, we’ll have the cabin all to ourselves,” said Dan’s dad, Dennis. “Your Uncle Bart isn’t planning on using it this year. Hell, he practically begged me to drive up here and make sure the place was still in good shape.”
“I’m so glad you could get the time off,” said Julia, Dan’s step mom. “And it’s such a short drive from here to the lift station and lodge. We’ll be able to ski to our hearts content.”
“Or snowboard,” chimed in Dan. He was just as excited for the weekend as the rest of them. His father had caved and bought him a new snowboard as an early Christmas present, and he was looking forward to putting it to good use.
“Of course Dan,” Dennis said. “Let’s get our stuff inside and get settled, first. The fun will have to wait, at least until we’ve unpacked a little bit.”
Dennis parked the family minivan in the drive way of the cabin. The snow had been plowed recently. Even though Dan’s Uncle Bart was not interested in actually using the cabin, he still paid for weekday snow removal through one of the many snow plow contractors near the mountain.
The four of them climbed out of the van and began taking their stuff out of the car. The cabin had almost all of the basic amenities they would need. The only things they brought with them were clothes, bathroom accessories, and their ski equipment.
As they made their way inside, Dan couldn’t help but balk at the quality of everything in the cabin. Their uncle was a rich man, he’d made it big off smart investing during the dot com boom of the late nineties, and everything in the cabin reflected that wealth.
“Jeez, I don’t think we’ll even have to buy food,” said Derrick as he pulled open the pantry.
“Maybe not if you don’t mind eating canned and dried stuff,” said Dan. “Personally, I could go for a pizza.”
“Yeah, that sounds good!” said Derick.
It took the four of them about twenty more minutes to get settled. The cabin was two stories, with three rooms for sleeping on the upper level, and a large living room and a spacious kitchen on the bottom. Once everyone had claimed a place to sleep, the four of them met up in the living room.
“I’m going to make a quick run over to town to grab a couple of things,” said Dennis. “I know we could use some towels, and toilet paper, is there anything else here that we’re missing?”
Derrick began to open his mouth, but Dennis cut him off before he could say it.
“If you want pizza, buddy, how about you come along and keep me company?” he asked. “That way I definitely won’t end up forgetting.”
“Okay, okay,” said Derrick, begrudgingly.
“We’ll be back in a half hour, forty five minutes tops,” Dennis said to his wife and son. “Hold down the fort while we’re gone,”
“Sure thing, sweetie,” said Julia.
“See you later Dad,” said Dan.
Dan’s dad and step brother headed out the front door and climbed into the minivan, leaving Dan and his step mom to occupy their time until they returned. Dan had known Julia ever since she married his dad five years earlier. She was a petite woman, but with big breasts, and a body and face that seemed to be almost comparable to the most gorgeous supermodels in quality. Her butt was not to be underestimated, either, and he could remember at least a couple of times when he had caught her bending over and been unable to resist taking in the view.
“What should we do while we wait?” Julia asked him. She was wearing a tight pair of jeans and a sweater that hung on her frame in a way that accentuated the outline of her big boobs perfectly.
“I saw some board games in the closet,” he said to her. “Think you could take me on in Monopoly?”
“I could take you on in anything, young man,” Julia said with a flirtatious smile. This was par for the course. She had been a very friendly woman for all of the time that Dan had known her. It wasn’t too much of an issue most of the time, but whenever they were alone together, her love of innuendo and teasing behavior tended to create a lot of strange and intriguing sexual tension between them.
“I just might have to find out about that for myself,” said Dan, smirking.
The closet was full of dust. True to what he had seen earlier, a game of Monopoly was piled high on top of one of the shelves. Dan took it down, and after cleaning off the top of the cardboard box, he brought it out into the living room to set up.
The décor in the cabin perfectly reflected Dan’s uncle’s attitudes in his life and towards nature. There were several stuffed deer heads hanging on walls, and a huge pair of moose antlers ordained the doorway in between the downstairs rooms. A large rug, bear skin as far as Dan could tell, was spread out over the floor in front of the living room couch, along with a polished wood table that looked homemade.
He set the game down on it, unfolded the board, and began dealing out money. Julia sat down across from him and smiled, quietly watching him as he worked.
“This is the first time we’ve all gone skiing before,” he said after a moment. “I’ve always been away at college on the previous trips,”
“I know,” said Julia. “I’ve had to come on my own more than once. Your father travels so much for work, it’s hard to rely on him to have the weekend free.”
Dan’s dad was a quality assurance manager at a local electronics company. He oversaw the statewide factory operations, and was away from home about as often as he was around.
“I’ll let you have first pick of the pieces,” said Dan, chivalrously.
“Why thank you good sir,” said Julia. “I might have to find a creative way to repay you…”
Dan felt her socked foot glide against his under the table. This was more of Julia’s teasing, and though he was used to it by now, it still got him a littl
e excited, especially given the fact that they were alone. Dan had endured some thoughts about her before, and a couple of dreams, all of which had made him feel incredibly strange and guilty afterwards. He was a still a young man, and he tried to give himself as much slack as he could, given that his hormones were running so wildly.
“Okay, I’m going to be the iron,” she said. “Let me guess, you’re…the dog?”
“Nice try,” said Dan, smiling. “The hat, as always.”
Julia laughed, and moved her foot onto his again. This time it began to slide up Dan’s leg. He froze up as he felt her touch, and waited as her soft toes progressed all the way up to the inside of his thigh.
“I hope you know that I have ways of rigging the game in my favor,” said Julia, seductively.
She began to massage Dan’s inner thigh with her foot. He felt his cock quickly hardening, and had to focus on the game in order to keep himself calm.
“Let’s roll!” he said abruptly, trying to break them out of the moment. “We have to roll to see who goes first.”
Julia grabbed the dice, and tossed them onto the board.
“Six,” she said, with a disappointed edge.
Dan collected the dice and began shaking them in his hand.
“I hope you know I have a secret roll,” he said.
“Oh yeah? What’s it going to do for you, huh?”
“I think you’ll be blown away when you find out!” said Dan, confidently.
He tossed the dice down on the table. As they hit, a crash shook the room. It went on for several seconds, an unnervingly long amount of time, and was deafeningly loud. Dan could hear the wooden structure of the cabin creaking as the noise and shaking finally died down. He turned and looked out one of the windows.
“I can’t see anything outside,” he said to Julia. “That’s weird, I didn’t think it was storming that bad...”
He walked over to one of the windows and attempted to slide it open. It only moved about an inch, and behind it was solid, packed snow.
“I don’t think this is from a snow storm…” said Julia in a very slow and soft voice.
CHAPTER 2
“What should we do?” asked Julia. The look in her eyes was one more of confusion than fear.
“Let’s just calm down, it might just be on this side of the house,” said Dan. “Let’s try both of the doors.”
The two of them walked across the living room to the front entrance of the cabin. When Dan turned the knob to open it, he had to struggle to pull the door even a couple of inches open. A wall of white was on the other side, filling the cracks by the hinges and all of the space outside the door.
“Jesus…” said Dan. He made a quick, halfhearted attempt to stick his arm into the snow. It was packed tight, and he couldn’t get more than his fingers into it a couple of inches.
“This can’t be happening!” cried Julia. She ran through the living room and kitchen towards the back door.
The situation there was exactly the same. The door frame was packed with snow, more than Dan had ever seen in his life before. He stared at it, gap jawed and almost in disbelief.
“We still haven’t tried upstairs yet!” yelled Julia. Her voice seemed to become louder as she became more panicked.
The two of them walked up the single flight of stairs to the bedrooms. Again, all of the windows they tried would barely open, and nothing could be seen outside of them other than a sea of densely packed snow.
“Let’s not panic,” said Dan. He suddenly had an idea that seemed like it could be their salvation, and pulled out his cellphone, dialing his dad out of the contacts.
“Is it ringing?” asked Julia. “Tell him to call the fire department, or snow department, or something!”
“No service…” said Dan. He tried a couple more times. Julia tried on her own phone, but neither of them could get through in the end. They set their handsets down on the living room table after a couple of futile minutes.
“What the hell are we going to do, Dan?” asked Julia.
“The snow can’t be that deep,” he said to her. “We can get through it.”
Dan wasn’t just putting on a brave face. He walked into the kitchen and pulled out a couple of nicely sized pots, and then headed over to the front door and began to dig into it. He was wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt, but the snow was cold, and after a few shovels, he could feel the icy flakes biting into his skin.
“Put on a jacket honey,” said Julia. “And gloves…”
“Good idea,” said Dan. He pulled his winter stuff off the coatrack, and set about digging again.
Several minutes passed. It seemed like Dan was starting to make progress. Every pot full of snow he removed from the wall, he would deposit on the floor next to the entrance. Julia looked on silently and nervously for a while, and then began to busy herself with another bucket, moving the snow to the sink in the kitchen.
The hole Dan had dug was about a foot into the wall when it collapsed. He cursed angrily, and then began digging again. The snow was packed in deeper now, and it took even longer to make the same amount of progress. He could feel himself beginning to sweat, all while the inside of the house was shifting temperature in the opposite direction, becoming colder and more frigid.
“Hey, does the water still work?” asked Dan in between his shovels.
“Let me check,” said Julia, turning one of the knobs on the sink. “Yeah, it does, why?”
“Fill up a bucket with hot water,” said Dan. “We might be able to use it to melt some of the snow.”
“Good idea!” said Julia.
It was a good idea, but in the end, all it did was work against them. The water hit the snow and melted some of it, but only for a moment. The wall of cold refroze everything before they could get more hot water on it, leaving them with a layer of ice to dig through on top of the already quite formidable snow.
After about a half hour of unproductive strife, Dan was finally ready to take a break. He collapsed into a sitting position in front of the door, breathing heavy and wiping sweat from his forehead. His spirits slowly began to sink as he took a look at the progress he had made, or lack thereof. Julia was standing behind him, and began to rub his shoulders encouragingly.
“I think we’ll be okay,” she said, forcing her voice to be as calm as possible. “We have electricity, water, food, and obviously shelter. And it’s not like they don’t know we’re here.”
“Everything except heat, which is what we really need to survive on the top of a mountain,” said Dan, scowling.
“What?” asked Julia. “What do you mean? We can just turn on a heater, can’t we?”
“The only one here is Uncle Bart’s wood stove,” said Dan. “The guy is about as old school as it gets…”
Julia seemed to quiet for a moment, and walked over to the door. Other than a small indentation and a lot of wetness on the floor, there was barely any sign of Dan’s hard work and sweat. She put her hand on the cold wall of white, and pulled it off slowly.
“Well, I’m sure we’ll figure something out,” she said. “I mean, it’s not like people didn’t survive back before modern heating fixtures.”
Dan looked at her skeptically at first, but forced himself to put on a strong face and smile.
“Of course, you’re right. Let’s see what we can find in the kitchen, and maybe have some lunch.”
The larder was well stocked. Julia busied herself with preparing them some basic food. She took some bread, dried beef, and made them both simple sandwiches. Dan took his gratefully and began to eat.
“How long do you think it will be before the discover us?” Julia asked.
“Odds are, they already have,” he said. “It’s more about how long it takes for them to dig us out.”
Both of them sat and ate silently, and thought about just how long that might be.
CHAPTER 3
There was no setting sun for them to point at as a causal entity, but as the day wore on, it be
gan to get colder. It had been several hours since the avalanche had trapped Dan and Julia inside the cabin. They had checked every window, and gone through every room. With no real action they could take to free themselves, the two of them were resigned to sitting in the living room and passing the time in as positive spirits as they could muster, trying to keep their minds off the predicament.
“What kind of pizza do you think your dad and Derick ended up getting?” asked Julia.
Dan opened his mouth to yell at her for asking such a stupid question. It seemed so bizarre, and so far removed from something that was appropriate to ask while trapped underneath a mountain of snow. Before he could object, however, he felt a laugh begin to build inside her chest.
“Definitely pepperoni,” he said to her. “Pepperoni and mushrooms, if my dad got his way. I’m betting those two gluttons have completely demolished it by now.”
Julia laughed, and then grabbed a pillow off the couch and threw it at him. Dan deflected it with one hand, and reached for another small one sitting on the easy chair.
“You just declared war!” he said to her, lowering into a crouch. “Prepare yourself.”
The two of them lobbed pillows at each other and laughed, able to take their minds off the situation, at least for a moment. Dan closed in on Julia, and swung his pillow with both of his hands, hitting her in the abdomen and knocking her onto the couch.
“Hey, no fair!” yelled Julia. She grabbed Dan’s pillow as he swung it again and twisted it, pulling him down onto her.
The pillow fight quickly evolved into a wrestling match. Dan was on top of his mother, trying to pin both of her hands as she laughed and bucked her body up against him. The inside air of the cabin was cold, and he could feel her warmth underneath him. It felt good, and reminded him of the problem at hand.
“Maybe we could insulate one of the rooms…” he said thoughtfully.
