Forgiving Nancy (Last Hangman MC Series Book 5) Page 14

by Muriel Garcia

  “Don’t blame you. Viv’s bar?”

“Yes, please.” I smile and take a sip of my water.

“My pleasure.” He smiles and starts driving. I still don’t see the point of driving from Bennett’s to the bar or the compound, it’s literally a three minutes drive.

“Thanks for the lift,” I say as he pulls up in a parking spot outside Viv’s. “I still don’t get why he drives back and forth when he lives so close.” I scoff.

“Because he might need to go on some urgent club business.” He gives me a pointed look and I give up trying to understand.

“Alright, alright. Have a nice day,” I say before exiting the car and watch Ryan drive next door to the compound. As I’m making my way to the bar, I hear a car stop behind me. Flashbacks from that night plague me and I start to jog towards Viv’s but I’m grabbed by my arms before I can get very far. No, this can’t be happening again.

Unlike the first time, I see my opponent as I turn around and try to fight him off. I don’t recognize him, but I do recognize the Inferno’s logo. Luckily for me, he hasn’t covered my mouth and I use that to my advantage. I scream at the top of my lungs and not two seconds later, Viv, Nicole, Line and Ayden all run out of the bar and towards me. I’m being forced into the back of the car as he’s still trying to get me but he won’t make it in time. I refuse to go down without a fight this time and I manage to the head-butt my attacker in the nose. He immediately lets go of me as he hollers in pain. I fall limply on the ground, holding my forehead. Head-butting him worked, but it was fucking painful.

Once I’m clear, the girls jump on him and start to attack him. I stand up and stumble. I hold on to the car to regain my balance as I see Gabe and Aleck run out of the compound and head towards us. They round the car and stop in their tracks as they watch the girls beat the shit out of my would-be kidnapper. I’m watching the guys’ expression of awe at the sight before them when Ayden brings my attention back to the fight.

“That’ll teach you to try and hurt one of our friends, you sick motherfucker!” she yells as she kicks my would-be kidnapper in the balls. “I wear heels bigger than your dick, you sick fuck!” To that, Aleck and Gabe burst out laughing. I want to join in on the action, but I don’t have time as I see Bennett stalking over like a man on a mission. He takes a look at me to assess that I’m okay and when I nod at him, he grabs the guy by the throat and pulls him up and out of the reach of the girls. He makes sure the kidnapper is unarmed before punching him square in the face, knocking him out immediately. I’ve never seen Bennett fight or this pissed off and I know that I should probably be scared by it, but I’m so fucking turned on right now. I could do him on the hood of this fucker’s car. That’d be a nice show for everyone.

Bennett walks over to me and looks me up and down to make sure that I’m actually okay.

“You good?” Bennett asks holding the back of my neck gently.

“I’m good.” I have to force my words out, not because I’m scared but because I’m so incredibly turned on that I’m really trying hard not to act on my impulses.

“You sure?” He smirks and I want to wipe that smug grin off his face, but I don’t do that, instead I grab his face and kiss him with all the love and passion I can muster. I don’t keep the control long though, Bennett takes over and pins me against the fucker’s car. He wraps his other arm around me, pressing his perfectly muscled body flush against mine before deepening the kiss. He nibbles my bottom lip and I moan, he takes advantage of it and caresses my tongue with his. When he stops, I’m breathless and dizzy and have to hold onto him so I don’t fall over. “Oh yea, you’re good.” He chuckles and rests his forehead against mine.

“Fuck off,” I tell him and kiss him quickly again.

“Love you too, Gorgeous Girl.” He sighs happily.

“Major swoon!” Line squeals from behind us and we turn to see that everyone is watching us with a smirk on their lips.

“Almost forgot you guys were there.” Bennett chuckles.

“How could you forget about us?” Ayden says and slaps his arm.

“I don’t know, maybe because you were quiet…for once.” Bennett teases and four fists rise at the same time. “Alright, alright, I’m sorry!” he pleads as he holds his hands up in surrender.

“Smart thinking, Bennett,” Viv declares and they all lower their fists.

“There’s something I need to do. You’ll be okay?” he asks as he turns back to me.

“I’ll be fine. I’ll wait for you before going home this time.” I promise him.

“Good girl.” He smiles and kisses me softly before grabbing my kidnapper’s ankle and dragging him towards the compound.

“Come on, let’s go inside,” Viv links her arm with mine and walks me back inside. Aleck comes with us but Gabe follows Bennett.

“He’s going to kill him, isn’t he?” I ask Aleck.

“Don’t ask what you don’t want to know,” he replies.

  “I need to know.”

“Then yes,” he says bluntly before going behind the bar. He starts to clean the counter as we all sit down in a booth.

  “Great.” I sigh.

“That guy was going to take you back to that place, Nancy. You don’t want him to be able to try again do you?” Viv asks me, looking shocked by my reaction.

“That’s not what’s bugging me. It’s just; I didn’t want Bennett to get caught up in this. He’s already been hurt trying to protect you guys, I won’t be able to forgive myself if anything happens to him because of me. I don’t want him to have this guy’s death on his conscience.” I sigh.

“He has a lot more death on his conscience than you can imagine. Bennett is the most selfless man I’ve ever known, he’d give his life for any of his friends or family without a moment’s hesitation. No matter what you say to him to try and change his mind, he’ll ignore and would probably get pissed off with you for trying to reason with him, trust me, we’ve all tried. You just gotta let him do his thing and hope he won’t get hurt again. That’s all the advice I can give you I’m afraid,” Aleck says, giving me a knowing nod. “As for who’s behind it all, I’m not sure you’ll be able to keep it from him much longer.”

“He’s going to hate me when he finds out.” I sigh.

“He won’t hate you, he’ll be really pissed because we all know and he’s the only one who doesn’t.” Aleck warns as he brings us a mug of coffee and cake each.

“Know what?” Ayden asks, mirroring the confused expressions of Viv, Line and Nicole.

“Nothing I can talk about, sadly.” I frown and take a bite of cake.

“It’ll all be okay. Don’t worry.” Aleck squeezes my shoulder and I hope he’s right. If he’s not, I might just lose the one person who’s ever loved me.

  CHAPTER 21

  Bennett

Red is all I can see as I drag the fucker who tried to take Nancy right from under our noses. I’m ready to just blow this fucker’s brains out, but I need some answers first and I’m going to be real persuasive. I drag his unconscious body to the basement of the compound and sit him on a chair before tying him to it. Wouldn’t want him to be able to escape or try to fight back now would we?

I ready myself and get into the zone before slapping the bastard a couple of times to wake him up. I just want to bash his face in, but I can’t, not yet. He slowly opens his eyes and starts to come around.

“Finally, you’re awake.” I smirk and start circling him.

“Where am I?” he asks. I smile when I hear his voice shake. Good.

“In hell.” I come to a stop in front of him and place a booted foot between his legs on the chair. I cross my arms on my knees and lean forward. “Didn’t think you’d end up here, did you?”

“N-no. Wh-what do you want from me?” he stutters.

“Why did you try to grab Nancy?”

“I was ordered to. Oh shit, he’s going to be so pissed,” he says as he looks around for what I’m sure is an escape route.<
br />
“Who ordered you?” I stand up and tower over the piece of shit in front of me.

“I-I can’t tell you. I took an oath, they’ll kill me.” He whines.

“And what exactly do you think I’m going to do? Because I can’t see you making it out of this room alive,” I tell him in a calm voice that has him cowering in the chair. I swear under my breath and move out of this idiot’s line of sight. I stand behind him, not saying a word, but making sure I make some noise with the torture devices laid in front of me. I turn around and smirk seeing him move on his chair, no doubt trying to undo his binds and make a run for it, but he’s out of luck. I watch him wriggle like a worm for a few minutes before I suddenly lunge forward. I grab his hair and yank his head back as wrap my other hand around his neck and squeeze. He quickly starts to wheeze as he tries to catch a breath. “Let me make this clear for you, you son of a bitch. We can do this one of two ways: either you tell me and I’ll make this quick and painless for you or you can keep quiet and I’ll make it an extremely painful death. Personally I’d prefer the latter but the choice is yours.”

I see him begin to weigh up his options and I can see just how nervous he is, but soon his nervous grimace morphs into an evil grin. “I’d rather die slowly and painfully. That way I’d get the pleasure of seeing you go crazy with the knowledge that everybody is hiding it from you.”

“As you wish,” I state bluntly, trying to keep my cool. I rip open his shirt and walk over to a table we keep our ‘tool’s on in the corner and grab a knife. I walk back to him spinning the blade in my hand. “Are you sure?”

“Yes,” he spits out through gritted teeth, preparing himself for the pain. I stand in front of him and drag the blade from his left shoulder down to his right hip, deep enough to cause pain but not deep enough to make him bleed too much.

“What do the Infernos want with us?” I look into his eyes, loving the fact that he’s completely at my mercy.

“It’s got nothing to do with the Last Hangman.” He leers. I don’t hesitate as I drag the knife from his right shoulder to his left hip, marking his torso with a large cross.

“What do they want with Nancy?” I yell at him.

“Nothing with Nancy in particular. You ask the wrong questions, Bennett.” He laughs creepily at me and I lose my patience. I slice his left cheek until I see teeth, the process makes him scream and rips the torn flesh just a bit more. Hearing his screams makes up for the lack of real answers I’m getting. “They are after you, you stupid motherfucker. It’s always been about you, but you’re too self-absorbed in your own little cozy world to notice anything!” He chuckles manically through the pain as I slice his right cheek.

I sit down on a chair in front of the kidnapping fucker and watch him slowly lose consciousness. I don’t know how long I’ve spent cutting him open, but the fucker hasn’t said a word. In a way, I get why he’s not speaking, prospects have to show their loyalty to an MC, but he will never make it into the MC, they just sent him to his death.

Jase’s method of getting the truth out of people might work with most but it certainly doesn’t with this fucker. Seeing just him suffer isn’t enough for retribution, not after what he tried to do to Nancy. I grab an EpiPen and jam it in his thigh before injecting its contents.

For a minute, I think I’ve waited too long, but it takes longer than I thought to bring someone back. I grin when I see the look of horror on his face.

“Didn’t think I was done with you already did you?” I sneer and grab a pair of shears. “Ready to talk yet?” I ask as I wave them in front of his face. He shakes his head, clearly too weak to talk, but I don’t care.

I spend the next hour cutting each of his fingers off, slowly and painfully. The sound and feel of his bones crushing under the pressure send delightful shivers down my spine. Call me a sick fucker, but Nancy’s life is at risk and there is nothing I wouldn’t do to ensure her safety.

I’m starting to lose myself in this sick and twisted version of me and right now I don’t recognize who I am. Gone is the happy-go-lucky Bennett and is his place is a cold, heartless and soulless bastard. I grab the pliers from the table and walk back to him. I pry open his reluctant mouth and smile when I see his eyes widen in terror. I, very slowly, extract every single one of his teeth. I pull his head forward so he doesn’t choke on his own blood that is gushing out of his empty gums. This bastard dies when I say so and not a minute before!

I put his fingers and teeth in a bag as I watch him lose his fight. I slap him a couple of times to bring him back for one last blow as I know I’ll never get anything out of him. He weakly opens his eyes and I place my gun against his head just above his eyes so he can see my finger on the trigger.

  “Goodbye, motherfucker.”

I pull the trigger and his head snaps back as blood and brain matter are splattered all over the back wall. I smirk sadistically at the scene in front of me.

I’m lost in my dark and twisted thoughts when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I snap out of my trance and turn to see Gabe looking at me with judgement in his eyes.

“She’s waiting for you upstairs,” is all he says and he immediately turns around and leaves like he can’t bear to be in the same room as me. I sigh and rub my face, smearing the blood of the man who tried to take Nancy away from me again all over it. The blood of my enemy. I don’t know if I should go up and see her after what I’ve just done but my feet seem to have a mind of their own and I’m walking upstairs, wiping my hands on my jeans and my face with my shirt.

The look on her face when she sees me breaks my heart. It’s full of hate, rage and disgust, and I put it there.

“What the fuck happened down there?” she exclaims.

“You don’t want to know.” I say coldly.

“Don’t you dare act like this with me.” She walks up to me and holds my cold gaze.

  “Act like what?”

“Like I’m nothing to you. I might not know what you’ve just done or what you’ve been going through all these years but don’t think you’ll be able to push me away by acting like a dickhead to me.”

“You really don’t want to know.”

“Yes. I. Do.” She grabs a hold of my hand and starts walking in the direction of the stairs. I hesitate, but she pulls on my arm. I sigh and decide against my better judgement to go with her.

She walks us upstairs and into the room she was staying in before. God that feels like ages ago. She slowly strips me out of my blood stained clothes and forces me into the bathroom, not without taking a quick glance at my dick.

She turns on the water in the shower and pushes me in. I keep a hold of her hand, half pulling her into the shower with me. I can’t have any distance between us at the minute, if there is then I feel like there might always be a gap between us.

“Take a shower with me,” I say.

“You’ll have to let go of my hand if you want that.” She looks at our hands as I let go slowly.

  “I don’t deserve you,” I mumble.

“Oh really? And why is that?” she asks with a voice full of attitude as she slowly starts stripping.

  “Because I’m a bad man.”

“We’ve had this conversation many years ago. Shut up and have your shower. You have me naked in a small, confined place. Enjoy this time, it won’t happen any time soon if you keep being this moody, you’re worse than a PMSing woman.” She shakes her head and I smile. My Gorgeous Girl knows how to make me smile and bring me back from cold and heartless Bennett.

“I love you.” I pull her into my arms and she kisses the middle of my chest, resting her head there.

“I love you too, even if you’re a dick sometimes.”

“You love my dick.” I chuckle and kiss the top of her head.

“Can’t say that I remember it that well.” She shrugs and I squeeze her ass, happy that she’s not wincing anymore whenever I touch it.

“You know you just have to say the word and I can refresh your memory.” I
smile and kiss her lips softly before resting my forehead against hers.

She pulls out of my grip and starts to wash the blood off of my chest and arms. Whilst it might seem disgusting given what I just did but this is the happiest I’ve felt in a long time. I have my Nancy back, the fact that she’s naked is just a plus.

We’re making our way downstairs thirty minutes later and I’m still thinking about our shower. Nothing happened but fuck it was good to have her naked body against mine, even if it has given me a stubborn boner that just won’t go down. It’s actually starting to be a little painful. Blue balls fucking suck!

“Remember when I first met you?” she asks randomly, bringing me out of my Nancy induced reverie.

“Yes?” I ask suspiciously, knowing Nancy, I’m in for a treat.

“I told you that I knew you were a good man who wore their heart on their sleeve. I still think the same.” She looks up at me with a sweet innocent smile, making my heart skip a few beats.

“Nance, I just killed a man with my bare hands.”

“You just killed a man with your bare hand for me. To protect me.” She walks me backwards into the garage office by the compound and locks the door behind her.

“What are you up to Nancy?” I ask her, my boner is pressing painfully against the zipper of my jeans, desperate to get to her. Taking charge Nancy drives me fucking wild.

“See, I love a man who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to protect the ones he loves. What you did, even though it was horrendous in a way, was incredibly hot,” she says in a sensual voice as she walks around the office, closing all of the blinds. I can see Ant and Gabe cheer us on through the window that faces the garage as she closes the last blind.

“You do realize that they know exactly what’s about to happen right?” I sit on the couch that’s opposite the desk as she walks over to me.

“I know and they also know what I’ve been doing for the past five years. The only difference is that I love you and actually want to do it.” She smirks and kneels in front of me before unzipping my pants.
