“Put them in me,” she panted.
She shook when he slipped two long fingers deep into her.
Her hand slipped into his underwear and gripped him firmly at the base. She moved her hand up and down in time with his fingers. The faster he went, the faster she moved her hand.
Kate rested her head on his shoulders and looked down between them. She had both feet on the floor as she straddled his lap. His fingers worked inside her, her juices coating his hand. She looked down at her hand around his length. The head pointed up at her, droplets of cum had formed at the top. Just a little closer, and she’d be able to swipe her tongue across the top.
She licked lips at the thought and gasped when his fingers scissored inside her. Faster, he plunged inside her, his palm now bumping her clit with each move. Kate moved her hand faster over him and looked back up.
He watched her and groaned when she licked her lips again.
“Come for me baby,” he groaned. “I’m so fucking close.”
She groaned. Seeing him so close sent her spiraling toward her own orgasm.
“Titus,” she groaned.
“Fuck, I love that.” He slammed his fingers hard into her.
“What?” she whispered.
“My name.” He looked at her, his hand speeding up. “Say my name.”
Kate swiftly stroked him from top to bottom, wetting her fingers against the tip.
“Titus,” she groaned. “Fuck me, Titus.”
“Shit,” he said and scissored his fingers in her again as he ground his palm against her clit.
Kate shook as her climax washed over her like waves. Her legs shook so badly that she couldn’t stand any longer and dropped to his lap. Head slumped on his chest, she sat trying to catch her breath before moving.
When she pulled her hand back, she was surprised to find it wet and sticky.
She leaned back. The front of her dress was damp from his release.
“Sorry,” he mumbled.
Kate smiled. “That’s why I brought another outfit.”
Titus frowned at her. “You planned on seducing me?”
“What?” Her face flooded with color. “No.” She stood and grabbed the bag of clothes she had stashed in the corner. “I planned on making you suffer for being such a dick.”
“So you were flirting with other men to make me jealous?” He stood to tower over her. “Is that why you weren’t wearing panties?”
“Flirting?” She reeled at his thinking. “So my talking to anyone but you is flirting? And what do you mean by seduced?” She stepped forward and poked him in the chest. “I wasn’t the one holding you on my lap.” She glared at him and took another step forward as he stepped back. “And by the way, I didn’t wear panties because you’d be able to tell in this dress if I had. But yes, I did it for your benefit. Don’t worry.” She turned away from him. “I won’t be making that mistake again.”
Kate stormed out of the room and into the bathroom, ignoring his calls to her.
Chapter Eight
“Damn it,” Titus said as he looked for her on the field.
For some reason he just couldn’t seem to stop himself when it came to her. She just made him so damn crazy. He had trouble thinking straight when she was near him.
“You ready for this?” Sol said from beside him.
“It seems simple enough,” Titus said as he scanned the other team.
When he found her, his heart nearly stopped. She was wearing a low-cut tank top that showed off way more than he wanted anyone seeing. Even from where he stood, he could see several of the men on her team ogling her breasts.
“You better knock that off now,” Sol said quietly to him. “You start ripping men in half for just looking at her, and it’s not going to go well.”
Titus turned and glared at him.
“What would you do?” Titus barked. He breathed in heavy. “This isn’t like you and Erica.”
Sol crossed his arms and raised a brow. “Well, for starters, I wouldn’t fool around with her and then make her cry.”
His face fell. He hadn’t meant to make her cry. “Did she tell Erica that?”
Sol shook his head. “Didn’t have to. It’s obvious she’s been crying, and your reek of each other.” Sol patted him on the shoulder. “Relax. They are just trying to cheer her up. It’s obvious to everyone you two are made for each other, even if neither of you are ready for that yet.”
Titus shook his head. “I just don’t know. I’m drawn to her, but, at the same time, she drives me crazy.”
He watched as Sol waved to Erica, who was sitting on the bench in the shade.
“How do you justify being with her?” Titus asked quietly.
Sol thought about it before he answered. “I love her,” he said simply. “And I’m lucky enough that she loves me. I just keep that in mind and know I would do anything to keep her safe.”
Titus nodded. He knew that to be true.
“Do you worry that being with her puts her in danger?” Titus watched Sol as he spoke and was surprised to see him smile.
“I’m more worried the dangers she would find without me,” he said. “Keep in mind, any woman that comes here is automatically a target for the Horatius Group.”
Titus’s eyes widened at the thought. He had never even thought of that. His eyes shot to Kate. She was in danger no matter what happened.
“Looks like we’re starting,” Sol said and smiled. “You better get your game face on. Seems your girl is targeting you.”
* * *
Kate was hot and sweaty and about done with this damn game. Nearly an hour, and she still hadn’t been able to get his flag. It was like he knew what she was going to do and purposefully avoided her grabs at his flag. As a matter of fact, no one had been able to get his flag, and if she hadn’t been so pissed, she might have actually been impressed. But as it stood, she just wanted to knock him down a peg or two.
“What’s the plan? It’s the last play of the game,” Apollo asked inside the huddle.
He smiled at her easily, and she sighed. It would have been so easy if she had just fallen for someone like him. Easy going and carefree.
Her eyes drifted over to Titus. He’d taken his shirt off, and all of those tanned muscles glistened with sweat in the setting sun. It made her heart kick up as she thought about other ways they could get hot and sweaty. She jumped when his head whipped around, and he stared directly at her. For just a second his eyes flashed yellow, and she knew he felt the same.
Kate tore her eyes from Titus and looked back to her team mate who seemed to be trying not to smirk. She narrowed her eyes.
“I’ll distract him while he has the ball, you grab his flag,” she said, more determined than she actually felt.
Apollo frowned. “Do you have a plan?”
She glanced over at Titus, who was looking her way with interest.
“Yes,” she said and moved away from her team.
She sighed. She had no clue what the hell she was going to do.
Kate stood on the field and eyed Titus as he mirrored her moves. They stood sizing one another as their teams took the field. His team held the advantage, and at this point, there was really no chance of her team winning, but this was about honor. Plus he had a little bit of ass-kicking coming his way.
The ball was put in motion, and she was on him. She knew they were just waiting for the moment to toss it to him for the final sprint down the field. Her moment came, a moment she never thought she’d have, and yet there it was.
She watched as Sol set himself up to toss the ball. Without waiting, she turned around to Titus.
“Hey!” she yelled at him.
His eyes shot to hers. Without even hesitating she pulled her shirt up and flashed her breasts at him. Just as quickly as it had happened, she lowered her shirt in time to catch the ball.
Kate ran. Ran like her life depended on it, and if the growl that was close behind her was any indication, it just might.
Three steps away. Two steps. One.
Her foot just touched the ground when she was lifted up and tossed over his massive shoulder.
“Game over,” he growled. “Time for dinner.”
Kate watched in amazement as people shook their heads and meandered over to the bonfire, totally ignoring the fact that he was carrying her further and further away.
“Let me down,” she shouted.
“No,” he said sternly.
Despite herself, she shivered at his commanding tone.
He carried her until the glow of the fire was just a distant light. With the sun now far behind the trees, it was hard for her to see around them. She yelped when he stopped and flipped her up to set her on her feet.
She leaned back against the tree behind her and placed the football she still clutched between them.
His hand slammed against the tree over her head.
“What the hell was that?” he bellowed at her.
Kate frowned. “That was me intercepting and scoring.”
Titus leaned in, his face just inches from hers. “You know what I mean.”
Kate shrugged. “It was no big deal.”
Titus put his other arm above her and leaned in a little more.
“No,” he said dangerously close. “They all saw.”
Kate leaned her head against the tree and laughed. “Not everyone,” she said.
“He saw,” Titus said quietly. “Apollo saw.”
She frowned at him. “Well it wasn’t intended for him, was it?”
Titus leaned back and sighed. Relief flooded his face.
“Are you serious?” She pushed at his chest. “I’ve had enough for today.”
He reached out and grabbed her arm before she could storm away.
“Wait,” he said. He raked a hand though his hair. “This isn’t easy,” he said.
She crossed her arms.
“You make me want things,” he said slowly. “But my life is so hard. I’m just not sure I can give you what you need.”
“And I’m just supposed to be jerked around like a yo-yo while you figure things out?” She cut him a steely look. “Tell you what, you figure out what the hell you want and when you know, you let me know.”
Kate pushed past him and stormed off through the woods.

Titus watched her from across the fire. Every now and again, someone would shoot him a nasty look just to emphasize that they were indeed talking about him. He did his best, despite his superior hearing, to not listen.
Sol sat next to him with his plate of food.
“If I don’t get laid tonight because of you, I’m going to be really pissed,” Sol said and took a bite of his burger.
“If you don’t get laid tonight, it’s not going to be about me. It’s going to be the savage way you chew your food.” Titus rolled his eyes.
Sol grinned. “I worked up an appetite out there. Besides,” he said and took another bite, “I need to store up some energy.”
“I thought you were worried about the babies?” Titus said.
Sol paused and glanced over to his wife. “She’s fine,” he said very cryptically. “The babies are fine.”
Titus shrugged. Not being something he would normally think about, he deferred to the experts.
Major Carter plopped down on the log next to him.
“We’ve got something,” he said without delay.
Both men turned to stare at him.
“There’s been an installation found in Costa Rica,” he said.
“Occupied?” Titus asked.
The major shook his head. “We’ve got eye reports that show that it was active about a week ago but nothing since then. It could be they have already left or that they are all just underground. We can’t tell at this point.”
“When are you going?” Sol asked.
“We’re still waiting on the official orders,” Major Carter said. “I suspect sometime tomorrow.”
Titus’s jaw tightened as he thought about the new installation. “We want in,” he said. “There are more men like us out there, and we need to be there.”
Major Carter nodded. “Couldn’t agree more.” He leveled his gaze on Titus. “I just have to make one thing clear. If you join my missions, I’m in charge. This isn’t a pissing contest. I’ve got more years in and seen enough action. You and your men defer to me.”
Titus stared at the major. It was the first time he’d ever even hinted at his position in all this.
“Done,” Titus said with a nod.
“Good,” Major Carter said. “This is as much for protection as it is anything else. If shit goes south, and I want it on my shoulders. I’ve got more friends in higher places than you do at the moment.”
Titus gave a curt nod. He understood. They were a risk. One the major was willing to take but still a risk.
“Permission to go,” Sol said from beside him.
He smiled. They had all been waiting for the moment to make themselves useful in the best way they knew how. Titus shook his head.
“I need you here,” he said. “I’m going to go to make sure things are followed as they should. You’ll need to keep things running smoothly here. Besides,” he looked to where Erica was sitting next to Kate, “she’s in no shape to deal with you running off on some mission.”
Sol looked over to his wife. Titus smiled at the way she seemed to sense him looking at her. She smiled lovingly at her husband.
“Understood,” Sol said.
Titus clapped him on the shoulder. “Soon,” he said. “This goes well, and we might have more work with the military.”
He looked over at Carter who nodded.
“This goes well and I can guarantee it,” the major said.
Although he didn’t love the idea of putting his men in danger, it was what they had been trained to do. Maybe if they were given a place to focus some of those skills, it would make them less restless. His eyes wandered over to Kate. Well, skill focus and women, but that wasn’t something they were going to be able to do over night.
He could only imagine the nightmare that was going to be. It wasn’t exactly like they could take out an ad asking for woman interested in more than friendship. Titus bit down the laughter that threatened to bubble up.
His eyes still on her, he watched as several of his men walked by and then turned away from her on the other side of the bonfire. They could likely smell him all over her. A smile spread on his face but soon vanished when several military men came and sat near her. Titus knew they couldn’t smell like his men, but he had to let them know where they stood.
Sol watched him, a knowing smile on his face.
“Tell Lucius and Apollo to be ready to go when I call,” he ordered.
Sol nodded.
“I thought Apollo was on your bad side at the moment.” He nodded to Kate.
His mouth twitched. “I’m not going to shown up by a kid.”
Sol threw back his head and laughed. “Glad to hear it.”
Titus walked with purpose over to her. He stopped right next to her and glared at the men.
Erica chuckled and shook her head. “I think it’s about my bedtime,” she said to Kate. Titus stuck out a hand to help her up. “Take her home, would you. She’s had quite a few of those, and it seems to be your fault.”
His face tightened, and he nodded.
Kate glared up at them both. “I think I need a few more if I’m going home with him.”
Erica laughed and kissed her on the head. “Be good,” she said and walked over to her waiting husband.
Titus held out his hand to Kate. She glared at it for a moment before taking it. He sighed with relief when she stood next to him.
“Where’s your car?” She swayed toward him.
He put his hand under her arm to steady her.
“I didn’t bring it,” he mumbled. The smell of her floated around him.
She huffed and pushed back a little from his body.
“Of
course you didn’t,” she sighed. “Well, let’s go.”
They waved at several people as they worked their way through the crowd. He could hear them as he passed. He smiled slightly. Let them think what they would. Maybe they would all leave his woman alone.
His pulse kicked up. His woman? It wasn’t true, but it certainly felt like it should be true. He glanced at her. She swayed slightly as they walked along the dark gravel path. It wasn’t difficult for him to see, but his night vision was always excellent.
“Want to lean on me?” he suggested after she veered off a little.
She wrinkled her nose. “I’m fine,” she said. “You just keep your hands to yourself.”
They walked in silence for some time. The new moon provided little light, but he watched around them. This was further out than they normally had people, but it was the best spot for such a large gathering.
She yelped as her foot caught on a root. He lunged forward and caught her just before she landed on the ground. Growling, he lifted her in his arms.
“What are you doing?” she shouted.
He looked down at her cradled in his arms. “Keeping you safe. Even if that means keeping you safe from yourself.”
“Whatever.” She yawned and nestled into his chest. “I’m too tired to care.”
He looked down at her face. With her eyes closed, she looked almost angelic. He frowned at the dark circles that stood out against her pale face.
“Why aren’t you sleeping at night?” he said softly.
Her eyes fluttered open to look at him. “Nightmares,” she said quietly. “You probably don’t get them.”
His arms tensed around her. “I get nightmares,” he said. “You don’t live like we did without repercussions.”
Titus could feel her eyes on him, and he flinched when she placed a hand on his chest.
“What are your nightmares about?” she whispered.
He sighed and stared into the forest ahead.
“Mainly locked doors with no way out. Endless reading and then testing.” He sighed. “Knowing that my results would affect the team. The more I miss, the more brutal the punishments became.”
