The bed kept her from feeling the full impact of the vibrations of flight, but the soft motion of mild turbulence added to the sensation of floating. This has to be what it’s like to make love on a cloud. “I’d love nothing more than making love to you in the clouds, Princess. You’d blend in perfectly with the angels.” The tip of his cock teased her entrance, sending a lightning bolt of heat up her spine as desire swamped her.

Her body stopped obeying her brain, and he growled his approval against her ear. “That’s it, pet. Let go. I’ll always catch you.” One thrust and he was seated deep inside her. The sensitive tissues were so swollen in anticipation she felt every ripple and vein of his cock. She sucked in a quick breath when the heated tip of his penis pressed against her cervix. He filled her in more than just a physical sense. Her mind could shut off when he took control of her body, and the sense of peace was like being transported to a different plane of existence. Would she always react so strongly to his possession?

“So good…oh, God, the burning stretch always takes me by surprise.” Speaking her thoughts aloud left her feeling vulnerable, but she hadn’t been able to hold the words back.

“I live to surprise you, pet.” He slid out before pushing in again at a pace he knew set her on fire. “Your walls are already rippling around me, a thousand tiny fingers caressing and taunting me. God help me when you discover how much power your body wields.” The lower timbre of his voice lulled her into an almost dreamlike state where nothing existed but the two of them.

Her body was shaking with desire, and Savannah worried she wasn’t going to be able to hold back her release. She sent up a silent prayer he’d say the magic words before it was too late. “You’re drenching me, Princess.” He moved so he could look down where their bodies were joined, and she could have sworn she heard him growl with satisfaction. “Seeing your honey glistening on my cock tests my control and makes me want to ravage you instead of savoring the moment.”

“Yes. Ravaging sounds good to me. Let’s go with that plan.” Her voice sounded raspy with an edge of desperation she was certain he hadn’t missed. When he leaned back even farther, changing the angle of penetration, the stiff ridge of his corona pushed against her G-spot with every stroke, and she began shaking with the need to come. “Oh. My. God. I can’t stop it. Please let me come. It’s too much…too good.” She was dangerously close to release and knew, in a few seconds, it was going to be impossible to stop the runaway train of her orgasm.

“Come for me, pet. Take the pleasure and then return it to me. I’ll be right behind you—next time.” Savannah didn’t have time to consider Landon’s last words before her muscles contracted and her scream filled the small bedroom of the jet. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she hoped the crew didn’t barge in worried she needed help. But the concern was fleeting as lights exploded behind her eyelids in a brilliant display of fireworks worthy of every Independence Day celebration she’d ever watched. She’d never seen colors as vivid as the ones bursting against the black background in her mind’s eye.

Landon slammed his mouth over hers in a kiss so heated she felt the sizzle all the way to the tips of her toes. Probably would have been a good idea to do that a few seconds earlier and save the crew from the audio assault of my screaming.

His tongue explored her mouth slowly, the contrast between that simple seduction starkly different from the raging storm of her orgasm. The discrepancy was too much, and she plunged over the edge into a deep ravine of another release before she’d recovered from the first. “Yes, Princess. Perfect. Your pussy is gripping me so tight I’m not sure I can last.” Last? What? He’s not there yet? I had to fall for Super-fucking-Man, didn’t I? Mr. Endurance is going to kill me. Death by orgasm. Is there a box for that on death certificates?

Amaryllis stood at the foot of the most enormous four-poster bed she’d ever seen, watching as Marco moved around the room lighting candles. She’d wondered if he was ever going to make love to her. He’d charmed her during their dinners every evening, and she’d loved their long walks through the lush gardens inside the tall walls of what he referred to as the compound. Marco had even driven her out of the secured estate so they could walk along the beach. They’d met other couples, and it was only later that she realized how easy it would have been for her to call out for help. Why hadn’t she?

“What are you thinking about, mi pequeño la flor?” She loved it when he called her his little flower; the transition from her given name made it easier for her to forget the circumstance that brought them together.

“I was enjoying seeing you move so purposefully around the room. With each new candle set to flame, the light dancing around the room changed subtly.” She hadn’t been anxious to admit how much she wanted him to take her. After all, she was still technically his prisoner.

He raised his hand to her cheek, but she no longer flinched at the gesture. Smoothing the pads of his fingers over her heated flesh, he smiled. “You think I don’t know when you are trying to deceive me? I assure you I do. Now, tell me the truth, so we can move on to more pleasant things.” For the first time, she heard something in his voice that sent a small shiver of warning skimming over her senses. He must have noticed her reaction, because he shook his head and smiled. “You have no reason to fear me, Amaryllis. I mean you no harm. But I don’t want there to be any secrets between us, either.”

“I’m sorry, Marco. I was embarrassed by what I was thinking.” He didn’t respond. He just continued to watch her so closely she wondered if he wasn’t trying to read her mind. “I just, well, I wondered what’s wrong with me. How can I want you so much when I’m your prisoner?” She’d spit the words out in a heated rush, afraid if she stopped she’d never regain the courage to speak them.

To her surprise, he smiled at her indulgently. “Do you feel like a prisoner, mi pequeño la flor?”

She shook her head. “No, I don’t. And that’s another thing I don’t understand. How can I be…”

“Falling for me when you don’t feel as though you should?” He held his arms open, and she walked into his embrace. “Would it help if I told you I’m falling for you, also? That I know my father is going to be equal parts furious and thrilled?” She wasn’t sure what his last words meant, but to be honest, she hadn’t heard much after he’d admitted their attraction wasn’t one-sided.

“I want to make love to you, mi pequeño la flor. I want to hold you in my arms and push myself so deep into your soft depths neither of us remembers we were ever two separate souls.” Amaryllis felt the last of her hesitance shatter into a million pieces as she listened to his sweet words. “Tell me this is what you want, also. Otherwise, I’ll escort you back to your suite. I am willing to wait until you are ready, mi amor.”

Hearing him call her his love made her heart sing. How had she managed to find love under such unusual circumstances? Would he ever allow her to contact her family? She wanted to let them know she was okay. Perhaps he’d allow her to visit them soon. What would happen if he tired of her?

Sighing at the weight of all the questions battering her mind, she focused on the way her body hummed in anticipation and pushed all the troubling doubts from her mind. “I want you to make love to me, Marco. I’ve waited to hear that you wanted me as much as I did you.”

A look of surprise spread over his face. “I’ve done you a great disservice if you doubted my desire for you, mi pequeño la flor. It’s a mistake I plan to fix immediately.” He stepped back and crossed his arms over his chest. “Remove your clothing slowly. Show me the sensual woman I sense lurks below the surface. I want to see the side no other man is allowed to see—the side reserved for me alone.”

Was she naïve to be enraptured by his possessive tone? Perhaps, but her body was trembling. She was vibrating—sexual desire pushing every other thought to the back of her mind. He was a Dom, no question, and she was self-aware enough to know how her body craved dominance.

Lifting the dress he’d given her to w
ear over her head, she laid the silky garment in his outstretched hand. He nodded his approval before tossing it aside. Amy watched his eyes flare with heat as his gaze moved over her bare body. She hadn’t been allowed to wear undergarments on any of their dates, and she knew he’d seen her bare over the surveillance cameras in her suite.

She’d been stripped and forced to shower in what reminded her of the reception areas in the prison movies on late night television. Amaryllis had held her tears as two members of his female staff stood by watching. She’d been denied clothing before being led down a dimly lit concrete hallway where they’d met a security guard. His rapid-fire Spanish caused both of her female escorts to suck in surprised breaths before they turned and ushered her quickly in the other direction.

Amy had cursed herself for not taking the last semester of Conversational Spanish her advisor had recommended. Maybe she would have been able to track the women’s hushed conversation if she’d sucked it up and taken the upper-level class. Their pace had slowed so she was no longer forced to race-walk to keep up, and she noticed an immediate change in their demeanor. The guard used a card to access the elevator, and Amy remembered her surprise when they’d stepped into the gilded lift. When she’d shivered in the air-conditioned space, the guard smiled and assured her she would be in her suite soon. It wasn’t until the door slid open that she realized he’d spoken to her in perfect English.

“Come back to me, mi pequeño la flor.” Marco’s voice shook her out of her musings, and she impulsively wrapped her arms around him and squeezed. He went stock still for just an instant before encircling her in his embrace. “To what do I owe this sweet outburst?” The warmth of his breath fanned over the shell of her ear, and she sighed.

“I was thinking back on the day I arrived. You saved me that day, didn’t you? I’m always amazed when fate intervenes and changes my course.” She pulled back and was grateful when he allowed the separation by loosening his hold enough she could gaze up into his eyes. “Thank you, Marco.”

She saw a flash of emotion in his eyes that looked like guilt, but before she could blink, it was gone. “I walked into the estate’s security control center and found myself captivated by your beauty and courage. In that moment, you became mine. I just had to convince you it was true.” He closed the distance between his lips and hers, kissing her with coaxing strokes of his tongue until she opened to him. The sensual glide of his warmth seeped to the depths of her soul and stoked the fires of her arousal.

Marco felt the moment Amaryllis surrendered and fought the urge to shout in triumph. His mouth made love to hers, and he let his hands skim over her naked flesh. The high definition surveillance cameras in her suite didn’t do justice to the brilliance of her fair complexion. She glowed with good health even though he knew she’d lost weight since she’d arrived. He’d see to it she regained those pounds and filled out all the lush curves beneath his fingertips. Capturing her moan when he gently pinched her peaked nipples sent a surge of heat to his cock. It was time to claim the only woman he’d ever cared enough about to seduce.

  Chapter Nineteen

Savannah woke up with a start, but for several seconds had no idea where she was. Looking around, some of her surroundings started to emerge from the fog clouding her mind. The front door rattled against its frame, and she heard a woman calling her name. “Fuck a duck, that must have been what woke me up. Prairie Winds. That’s it. I remember now. We got here last night.”

“Come on. Come on. When I’m up, everybody’s up.”

Savannah wondered about the woman on the other side of the door. She’d done her homework and knew Tobi West wasn’t a big woman, but whoever was pounding on the door had to be enormous. “Hold on. Hold on. I’m coming. Damn, give a girl a break.”

“Don’t answer the door naked, either. We’ll probably see each other’s pink bits soon enough.”

“Yeah, let Chatty Cathy in before she breaks the sound barrier and brings Doms running from every corner of the damned place. That rarely ends well, and we have plans that include us being able to sit down.” Savannah was scrambling to find something to wear. She’d been halfway to the door before she’d realized she was naked. I guess Landon was right, I did get used to being without clothes. And isn’t that just Jim-fucking-dandy. I’ll probably end up being arrested for indecent exposure on my next op…okay, make that the one after next. Pretty sure I’m going to be naked a lot once we get to Costa Rica.

She was breathless when she opened the door to find two beautiful, blonde pixies standing on the small porch of the cottage. The closer of the two stuck her hand out, and Savannah grasped it numbly as she introduced herself. “Hi, I’m Tobi West. Guess I should have said that before you opened the door. Fuddle, we better not tell anyone you opened the door without checking the peep hole.”

“Who says I didn’t?” Both women flashed mischievous smiles Savannah took as approving of her sassy response.

The second woman was even smaller than the first, but every bit as stunning. She stepped forward and offered her hand. “Hi, I’m Jen McCall. I’m in charge of the Texas Tornado over there.” She used her thumb to indicate Tobi.

“Hey!” Tobi glared at Jen, but it didn’t seem to have any impact; because Jen winked at Savannah as soon as Tobi turned her back.

“I’m Savannah North. It’s nice to meet you…I think. Let me go freshen up a bit, and if you’ll tell me what’s on tap today, I’ll try to find something appropriate to wear.” She was already moving toward the bedroom when she heard Jen laugh.

“Don’t be long. I can’t promise how long I can keep Tobi the Snoop from barging in and chattering at you while you’re dressing. And I’m hungry.”

“You’re always hungry. Honest to Pete, I think you have a tape worm with a pet tape worm. Nobody should be able to eat that much and not gain weight.”

“Nursing burns up a lot of calories, sister. You need to have another baby. You’ve gotten senile and forgotten about nursing. Tobi had a birthday last week, but don’t say anything, because now she’s forgetting things like her phone and where she parked her car. That’s why I’m her keeper today.”

“You are not my keeper. Kent was just kidding. And besides, think about it…do you really want that responsibility?”

Savannah nearly jabbed herself in the eye with her eyeliner pencil she was laughing so hard at the banter taking place on the other side of the door. She’d never had a real friend other than Amy, and even then, they’d never enjoyed this kind of easy camaraderie.

Calling out to them while she slipped on her shoes, Savannah asked, “Where did you say we are going? And please tell me it isn’t far and they have coffee.” If she didn’t get her morning jolt of caffeine, things could get ugly.

“Not far. We’ll be there in no time. We have a crazy woman for a driver.” Tobi’s voice rang with amusement while she could hear Jen grumbling in the background. If anyone asked Savannah, the “crazy woman” title was up for grabs. “We’re meeting the others there, and yes, they have coffee, but their mimosas are to die for. And Vitamin C is good for you.”

Savannah was having trouble focusing on what she was supposed to be doing as evidenced by the fact she was wearing two different shoes. It seemed Tobi West was every bit as distracting as her reputation implied. She quickly swapped out one shoe and was almost out the door when Tobi added, “But as soon as the clock strikes two, we can start on margaritas.”

Two? Savannah almost tripped over her own feet when she glanced at the small bedside clock. She’d never slept until after noon in her entire life. Savannah was going to kill Landon for letting her sleep when he left. And where in the hell was he anyway?

Reemerging from the bedroom, she looked around for a note and found it on the small bar separating the kitchen from the living space.

  Princess,

Tobi West and Jen McCall will stop by at one o’clock to pick you up. You’ll be spending the day with the girls, and I’ll see you this evening.
We’ll eat dinner in before going to the club.

  Enjoy and behave.

  Landon

Behave? Was he serious? The expression on her face must have given her away, because she heard Jen snicker beside her. “I saw the note. Don’t be offended by the behave comment. That’s more about us than it is about you. Tobi’s rep is terrible.”

Tobi nudged her then grinned like a Cheshire cat. “He must have really worn you out. Gotta love that. But it was nice of him to let you sleep since all the guys met at the gym at the friggin’ ass crack of dawn for training. How are you still getting out of hand to hand, Miley?” Tobi’s grin told Savannah there was a story behind the question.

Jen pointed down at her large breasts and grinned. “None of the guys want to risk touching the girls and watching Sam and Sage come apart at the seams. I may nurse Suzie until she’s in junior high.”

“You aren’t still nursing. You haven’t been near a breast pump in months. I can’t believe they are still falling for that.”

Savannah realized she was standing with her mouth gaping open, staring at the two women in confusion. Looking at Jen, she said, “Wait, I thought you said your name was Jen?”

When she grinned, Savannah wanted to laugh out loud. Here was a woman who enjoyed life to the fullest. “It is. The team nicknamed me Miley because they think I’m a wrecking ball. They claim I’m reckless, but that’s not it…I’m just fearless, and it scares them.” Tobi’s eye-roll made Savannah want to ask more, but the moment was lost when the shrill ring of a cell phone sounded.

Tobi smiled when she pulled the bright pink device from her pocket. “Hi, Mom. Yes, we’re leaving now.”

Her conversation faded to the background as they moved out the door, and Jen motioned Savannah into the front seat. “Might as well sit up here. She’ll be on the phone with Lilly until we walk in the door. They are thick as thieves and about as much trouble.”
