Twisted Pieces Page 7

There were two choices right now.

He could go back to the clubhouse and fuck a reliever or he could track Jordyn down and fuck her. Either way, he needed to get the fuck out of the rich suburban bullshit before he snapped.

  nine.

Jordyn found herself in a familiar position. She stood in the bathroom, looking in the mirror. Behind her, there was someone in one of the stalls. She listened to the sound of the woman urinating. It was so loud that Jordyn felt embarrassed for the woman.

The toilet finally flushed and a woman emerged with a cell phone to her ear. She skipped washing her hands, and left the bathroom. It made Jordyn a little sick, but she got to work before someone else came into the bathroom.

She lifted her skirt and grabbed her panties. She wiggled them down her body and stepped out of them. They got hooked on her right heel and Jordyn let out a cry as she jumped, stumbled, and fought to keep her balance and not tumble to the bathroom floor. She managed to keep herself upright and finally get her panties off.

Normally, she threw the panties away. That’s always what Mr. Strokner told her to do. This time, he wanted the panties.

After Jace took her to her shitty little apartment, Jordyn had cried herself to sleep on her couch. She woke to the ringing of her cell phone. To her surprise, it was Mr. Strokner calling. She figured it was the call that would lead to her officially being fired. Instead, it was a sober Mr. Strokner apologizing for his inappropriate and haste actions against her. He told her he should have been more sympathetic to the situation at hand. The fact that she had been sent into such a horrifying and violent kind of lifestyle, he should have known it would have scared her. But in his defense - in his own damn words - he wanted to touch her body and make her realize that everything would be perfectly fine. That there was nothing to fear with Back Down Devil. That they were basically working for him.

  For Mr. Strokner.

That’s when Jordyn knew everything he was saying was from a sick man's mind. From what Jordyn experienced in the clubhouse, it was obvious that Back Down Devil was for real and definitely powerful.

At the end of the phone call with Mr. Strokner, two things were clear. One, Jordyn still had a job. And two, Mr. Strokner wasn’t going to stop his advances and demands of her.

Which was why Jordyn stood in the bathroom trying to figure out how to roll up her panties small enough to hide in her small hand so nobody else would see them when she walked to the elevators to Mr. Strokner's office.

She had already heard whispers around the building about Mr. Strokner and her. Jordyn figured it was easier to let people talk than try to diffuse anything. Plus, if any sort of rumors got out of control, Mr. Strokner would take care of things. One way or another.

Jordyn entered the office and Mr. Strokner was sitting behind his desk, on the phone. His eyes lit up and he smiled when he saw Jordyn. He quickly ended his phone call and stood up. Then, like a kid waiting for candy, he rubbed his hands together and smiled big.

“Did you bring something for me?” he asked.

  “Yes,” Jordyn said.

She walked to his desk and opened her right hand. Her pink panties were balled up.

Mr. Strokner plucked the panties from her hand and held them up with his pointer finger. He stared at them in awe.

“Just beautiful,” he whispered. “You women consider these panties. It’s remarkable. There’s nothing to these, yet they cover the part I want the most.”

Jordyn shivered. She knew she was on thin ice already with Mr. Strokner. The temptation to just spit in his face and walk away grew inside her. But after the way he reacted to her when she denied his advance, she feared that he would do a lot more than just hit her. She needed Jace’s help. If Jace was half serious about her helping the MC, then he needed to help her.

Mr. Strokner pulled the panties to his nose. He took a deep breath and exhaled with a smile on his face. “That smell, Jordyn. How do you do it? How do you walk around knowing you give off that delicious scent?”

Jordyn found it better not to respond. She just listened to what Mr. Strokner had to say and hoped he didn’t touch her.

“I’m keeping these,” Mr. Strokner said. “I’m going to start a little collection for myself. Each pair will represent something beautiful between us. A special day.”

  “Today is special?” Jordyn asked.

  “Yes, it is. Very special.”

“Did you close the deal on that piece of land you wanted?”

Mr. Strokner laughed. “Oh, Jordyn, it’s not all about business. I like the way you handle yourself. You understood what I had to do. You walked right into Back Down Devil’s clubhouse and came out with a straight face. I’m going to show you something. I don’t want to scare you, Jordyn, but I do want to push your buttons a little. I want to watch you squirm so then I can feel you squirm. Understand?”

  “Okay,” Jordyn said.

“Good. Come stand at my desk. Put your hands flat.”

When she did, Mr. Strokner stepped behind her. He touched her ass first, cupping her.

“I have to touch,” Mr. Strokner said. “The scent is so good… I want to taste.”

Jordyn closed her eyes and swallowed hard. She felt his fingers touch the inside of her thigh. They crept up, slowly, and then he touched her. She felt two fingertips against her softness. She wasn’t wet and Mr. Strokner could obviously feel that. He pressed and Jordyn jumped.

“Easy, now,” he whispered. “Just… easy…”

His fingertips pressed into Jordyn and then he quickly took them out. Jordyn waited for more but it never came.

  “Turn around,” Mr. Strokner said.

She straightened her skirt and turned around to find Mr. Strokner gently licking his fingertips. He didn’t speak another word as he walked to one of the closets in his office. He disappeared for a few seconds and then came back out holding a small brown case. As he walked, he held the case out.

The first thing Jordyn noticed was the smell. Whatever the hell was in that case was disgusting. And the look on Mr. Strokner’s face suggested it definitely was.

“This was a gift from Gaige,” Mr. Strokner said. “I know I’ve spoken so much about Rachel, and I hope you don't think I’m some sicko that fantasizes about his daughter. I’m not. You’re just something special, Jordyn. I can sense it. And I want it. I want that feeling again. That perfect mix of woman… young love and wild lust. I’ll have everything with you.”

Mr. Strokner put the case on his desk and opened the latch. He slowly opened it and took a step back.

  The smell was worse.

Jordyn looked and then turned, covering her mouth.

“Does it bother you?” Mr. Strokner asked.

  “Are those… eyes?”

Mr. Strokner closed the box. “Yes. They’re the eyes of the man who shot my daughter. Gaige gave them to me. To fulfill a promise he made on behalf of the MC. Since then, we’ve been close. But after some recent events, I’ve seen the power money has over the threat of bikers. I’m not so sure a box full of eyes could do what a box full of money could. Do you understand that?”

  “Yes, sir,” Jordyn said.

“Good.” Mr. Strokner took the case back to the closet. Then he poured himself a drink and turned, leaning against the bar, shaking the glass to make the ice tink against the sides of the glass. “This is our first memory then, Jordyn. I’ll keep your panties forever because of it. The moment you realized my power. The club thinks they have all the power, but the lesson for you to learn is that too much power in a partnership can be deadly. I had a feeling about an associate. Caius needed help, but I feared he was too emotionally involved. I was right. I’m always right. And soon, I’ll be right again.” Mr. Strokner drank from his glass. He then licked his lips. “This doesn’t taste half as good as you do, Jordyn. You can go now. Take the rest of the day off. Think about what you’ve seen. What you know. What you desire.”

Mr. Strokner turned around. The rotten smell
of those eyes lingered in the air. Jordyn was more than happy to leave the office. She took the elevator down to the fifth floor. Then, she snuck to the back steps and walked down them until she was outside. The sun and fresh air felt good, but Jordyn didn't want to risk Mr. Strokner changing his mind and calling her back so she ran to her car and sped away from work. She wasn’t even sure if it was work anymore. All she did was carry the same folders around and wait for the next command from Mr. Strokner.

I hate him. So much. And I hate Jace too.

Jordyn had a plan to feel better. Go to her apartment, change into some sweats, open a bottle of cheap wine, and then submerse herself in a cheesy romance movie. Something insane. Something ridiculous. Something so impossible that it feels possible. It wasn't the ideal night, but it was what Jordyn needed. It would help her collect her thoughts before she called her grandmother.

When Jordyn pulled into the parking lot to her apartment and saw a motorcycle parked next to her assigned spot, she thought there was no way that it was Jace. She climbed out of her car and the biker took his helmet and sunglasses off. Sure enough, looking even hotter than before, it was Jace.

The sight of his eyes was just what her body needed. She blushed.

“Thought about dropping by your office,” Jace said with a grin. “But I didn’t want to piss off your boss.”

“He showed me eyeballs,” Jordyn said. “He made me give him my panties to keep. Then he touched me. And showed me eyeballs. Of the guy who killed his daughter.”

“Fuck,” Jace said. “He’s losing his mind.”

“And I’m in his scope,” Jordyn said. “I hate you right now.”

“Hate me, babe? You don’t know enough about me to hate me."

“I don’t know what to do. I can’t work there with him. Helping you or not… you’re not helping me.”

Jace came forward and touched Jordyn’s arms. “Listen, babe, I’m here. I’m helping. If you want do this and help the club, it’ll mean a lot to me. To us.”

  “And who is us?”

“You want to meet everyone? Would that help?”

“I don’t know. I had a plan to sit alone and get drunk on wine.”

“I have a better idea. Come get drunk with me. Nobody will hurt you. And the only one who will touch you is me.”

Jordyn stared at Jace. “He rambled on about there being too much power between him and your club. That he was right once before and he’ll be right again.”

Jace curled his lip. “Yeah, he’s losing it. I want you to come with me.”

“I don’t need to meet anyone, Jace.”

“I don’t give a fuck about that,” Jace said. He put a finger to Jordyn’s chin. “I want you on my bike right now. Your hands around me. At the clubhouse. I want it.”

  “You want me?”

  “Don’t push it.”

“Can I get changed at least?”

Jace looked Jordyn down and back up. “Yeah. No panties though. They only get in the way.”

Jordyn was blushing again as she ran to her apartment building. She stormed inside and rushed to find something to wear. She stripped down to her bra and, well, nothing else. As she stood in her room, she stopped for a second to think about what she was doing. Was she chasing a fantasy? Was she chasing something bad? Or… maybe it was such a bad fantasy it was too tempting to pass up.

  “Now, that I like.”

Jordyn jumped and whipped around. Jace stood in her bedroom doorway.

  “Jace…”

“Do you always leave your door wide open?”

  “Sorry. I’m rushing around.”

  “Feel free to continue.”

Jordyn grabbed a pair of jeans, a shirt, and a hoodie. She dressed and then walked to the door. She put a hand to Jace’s chest. “I don’t know why I’m doing this.”

“Neither do I,” Jace said. “You should be running right now. As far away as you can. Doesn’t make sense why you want that job with Strokner so bad. Or why you’re listening to me. But I’ll take it.”

Jordyn saw herself telling Jace everything about her grandmother but she stopped. It was bad enough she already babbled like a baby about her parents being killed.

  “I’m ready,” Jordyn whispered.

She took a step and Jace put his hand out, touching her stomach. It was instant fluttering and it made her toes curl.

  “He touched you?”

  “Yes.”

  “Where?”

Jordyn looked at Jace. “Where do you think?”

  “Tell me.”

  “Between my legs.”

  “He fingered you?”

“Sort of. He kind of touched and I wasn't…” Jordyn’s cheeks were on fire. “… I wasn't wet. So he pushed hard until he was inside. Then he pulled away.”

“Fucking asshole,” Jace growled. He slid his hand up Jordyn’s body until he cupped her cheek. “I promise you, you’ll be taken care of for this. I’ll protect you myself. The club will protect you.”

  “Okay,” Jordyn said.

She didn’t know what else to say. She wasn’t in any position to question what Jace had to say. She was simply following him with the dumb side of her heart. The side that couldn’t stop thinking about how hot Jace was and how amazing it had been to have him tearing her clothes off, kissing between her legs, and then thrusting himself deep inside her.

Outside, Jace gave Jordyn his helmet. They got on the motorcycle and Jordyn slid her hands around Jace’s hard body and felt a sense of peace come over her. She started to understand the excitement of being on a motorcycle. The freedom of the road. The rumbling of the engine.

Jordyn caught herself breathing calmly and even smiling.

That was, until another motorcycle came up alongside Jace. The leather cut the guy wore was different than Jace's. But what caught both of their attention was the gun the guy pulled out and pointed at Jace.

  ten.

  Fuck.

Jace felt Jordyn instantly tense up. She was scared. Rightfully so. Under normal circumstances, Jace would pull his gun out or run the guy off the road. Having a gun pointed at him didn’t bother Jace all that much, because if someone wanted to shoot him, they would just shoot him. Showing the weapon was merely a threat and way to get attention.

He had made a promise to Jordyn to protect her, so Jace cut to the right - gently - and moved toward the side of the road. He really wanted to hit the throttle and take off, but then the asshole's gun would be pointed not at Jace’s back, but at Jordyn’s.

As Jace slowed, he turned his head to the right and yelled, “Stay with me no matter what!”

The guy on the motorcycle didn’t need to have a patch on his back for Jace to know he belonged to the Coast Road MC. Probably one of their prospects. The guy was jacked to the nines, which was very obviously steroid enhanced.

Jace looked ahead and the road was clear. He slowed to a crawl, letting the other motorcycle get close to him.

  “Problem?” Jace yelled.

“Stop your fucking ride,” the guy yelled. “I’m going to put a bullet in your head.”

  “Is that so?”

  “We know everything…”

“That’s good,” Jace yelled. “I’m not stopping this motorcycle, man.”

“I’ll kill your girl first then.”

Now that was a threat Jace couldn’t let go. He took a risk and threw a fist at the guy. He knew if he missed, the prospect would probably pull the trigger.

But there was one thing Jace was damn confident in and that was he never missed his mark. He hit the guy in the wrist with such force, his hand opened and the gun fell. Jace swung again, a cheap shot without too much power, hitting the man in the face.

Then Jace hit the throttle and took off.

He knew the guy wasn’t going to give up that easily though. There was no way he’d go back to his club and tell them Jace punched the gun out of his hand and got away. Jace glanced in his mirror and the asshole was right on his tail. At least
the guy didn’t have a gun. At least Jace hoped not.

The motorcycle pulled up next to him again. Jace looked over and smiled. The guy growled and Jace could see the blood on his front teeth. Jace underestimated the power of his own punch.

“I’ll fucking kill you!” the guy screamed.

Jace felt Jordyn grip him tighter. She was still scared. He really didn’t want to do what was going to happen next, but he needed to end this right now. It was crucial that Coast Road received his message loud and clear. The shit with the judge’s kid hadn’t gone as planned, so Jace couldn't afford to mess up again.

Jace moved to the left. The guy did the same. Jace repeated the same motion until he had the guy forced into the oncoming traffic lane. That wasn’t the entire plan, however. It was merely a distraction for what Jace would do next.

Jace had one chance and timed it out. He kicked his foot and hit the front of the guy’s motorcycle. The guy quickly started to twist and turn the front wheel of his motorcycle. Jace braked and gave room, waiting for the motorcycle to drop. When it finally did, the guy slid on the ground for a good while, spinning with his motorcycle. He and the motorcycle ended up on the side of the road. The motorcycle rolled a few times and was destroyed. The meat neck rolled and ended face up, unsure what wound to reach for first.

Jace pulled to the side of the road. He climbed off his ride and Jordyn did the same. She grabbed his arm and when Jace turned, he saw how white Jordyn’s face was.

“This is my life,” he said. “You wanted to know? This is it. There’s always an enemy waiting to kill me. But I'm not going to let that happen."

“You’re going to kill that man?”

“That man? He just tried to hurt you. To hurt me. If he shot me, babe, what do you think he would have done to you?”

Jordyn stepped back. “You’re going to shoot him.”

“I have to send a message. You don’t have to watch.”

Jace shook Jordyn away. Deep down, he hoped she would watch. He wanted her to. It was insane to believe that Jordyn would stick around the clubhouse like Emily, Avery, Kaity, and Ava. But until the time came for Jordyn to leave, she needed to see the big picture here.
