Moaning, I shook my head. "I was afraid of that."
"I'll decorate," Corey volunteered. "We're doing it at the brewery?"
"Unless someone has a better idea?"
Nobody did. "Brewery it is."
We continued talking, and it started being too much, so I pulled out a pad of paper and took notes.
Eventually, the auction was planned, and the house was clean again. Our friends left Max and I alone, just us and our two dogs.
Grinning at him, I turned away from the door and grabbed his shirt. "Now it's just me and you."
He grinned and turned, darting away from me.
"Oh, it's going to be like that?"
I chased after him, and lucky for me he headed straight for my bedroom.
He slammed the door just before I got to it. By the time I stopped and opened it, he'd already gotten his shirt off. His shoes went flying as I raced into the room.
"In a hurry?" I asked. I shooed the dogs out of the room. "You two are too innocent to see what's about to happen."
After shutting the door, I realized Max was totally naked and had lube out, spreading it all over his hard dick.
"What is with you?"
"I just figured that a kept man should be ready for his sugar daddy."
I checked his facial expression to make sure he was teasing and not actually angry.
Definitely teasing. And horny.
"Strip, please."
"Yes, sir." I did my damndest to strip as fast as he did. When I got to my pants, I yanked one leg off, but the other one got tangled somehow. I went down hard, landing on my side on the floor with my pants wrapped around my legs.
The shocked expression on his face... After I took stock of myself and made sure I wasn't injured, I burst out laughing, going limp on the floor.
When Max heard me laughing, he joined me, going down on one knee and then sitting on his butt. "You've got two perfectly good legs."
"I need you to teach me how to not be clumsy, I guess."
He got to his feet using only his body strength, then bent over to untangle my pants. When I was fully naked, he pulled me to my feet, then pressed kisses on my lips. "Okay, so you can be my klutzy daddy instead of my sugar daddy."
"I'll be whatever you want me to be," I said, pulling him close. He turned me around, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me close again.
"Thank you for helping me let go," he whispered.
Then, without warning, he pushed me onto the bed. I landed stomach down and looked back at him, bewildered. He shrugged, one hand on his dick, and smiled. "It felt right."
After spreading more lube across his dick and my ass, he entered me without prep, though he did go slow.
It took him a long time to come. The whole time he fucked me, he told me repeatedly how much he loved me, how sexy I was, and how glad he was to have me. By the time he finished, I was ready to cum all over the bed.
Just before he came, he pulled me to my knees, reaching around and grasping my dick, triggering my orgasm. It squirted hot onto my bed, bringing a moan from my mouth with it.
We stripped the comforter from the bed and collapsed in each other's arms.
"Damn," I whispered. "That was new."
"You liked it?"
"I did."

Carson
Nate pranced down the makeshift runway like a disco dancer. Seventies music piped through the club’s speaker system, and Corey provided the colorful commentary for the runway show. He'd even recorded his own so that when it was his turn the quality wouldn't suffer. His words, not mine.
"Step right up, Nate here is a realtor. That’s right, he’s making the big bucks. If you need a sugar daddy, now is your chance to snatch him up. They say he’s taken but I don’t see a ring."
"Hey," Ian called from the crowd. Everyone laughed. "No fair."
Nate really put himself into it. We had started the whole auction with the dates first. "Not only do you win this handsome hunk of man, you get a picnic basket full of a delicious dinner from this very kitchen. Shall we start the bidding at a hundred dollars?"
Ian raised his hand, but after that, I raised mine. Shooting Ian a big smile, I kept warring with him until he was near a thousand dollars. The crowd hooted and yelled. We’d already gone through several members of the community, but the best one was last.
Finally, I let Ian win and he claimed his prize, Nate jumping off of the stage we’d built onto Ian’s back.
Corey turned on his tape and really worked the crowd, shaking his booty and blowing kisses. I wasn’t the only one to drive Brady’s bid up for Corey. Brady had told me before the auction that his cap was two thousand, so I kept pushing him until he was at his max. Everyone knew what I was doing, but still, Corey was so comical up there that they loved it.
Finally, it was Max’s turn. His parents bid a bit, driving me up, but Ian, Brady, and Nate were the ones that put me to my limit. I’d given a two thousand cap as well, but they pushed me to three. I almost gave up, but I loved seeing how he blushed when we kept going. He did a surprisingly good job, shaking his butt and flexing. "Show us your stomach," I called, then looked around as if shocked, wondering who would’ve said that.
He really proved to me that he’d done those photographs and modeling as he lifted his shirt and ran his hand over the few stomach muscles he revealed. For a man that had PTSD and anxiety, he was a different person on stage. I’d read somewhere it was a common trait of performers to come alive on stage. Max had missed his calling. He probably should’ve been in an all-male review.
Finally, we made it through all the people that had volunteered to be auctioned off and it was time for the big finale, then to move on to the items.
"Our last date is with someone you all know and love. He has gone through an incredible amount to be here, and I know you'll all be thrilled to put in some money to get the chance to go on a date with him. Straight from the hospital, cleared to go home just yesterday, everyone give a big Three Lakes welcome to our guest of honor, Tyler!"
Corey finished with a big bow, and Daisy wheeled Tyler out onto the stage from behind the curtain. The crowd went completely wild. Everyone was on their feet, people banged the tables and screamed.
Tears streamed down Tyler's face as he waved at his friends and family in the crowd. Corey handed him a mic and he stuttered. "I--," he choked up, covering his face and composing himself. "Thank you so much," he finally said from behind his hand. "This journey has been unbelievable, and I'm so shocked to look out into the crowd and see so many of you here. So I don't know what else to say but thank you so much."
We began the auction at a hundred, and Corey didn't even have time to ramp up the crowd. The bids kept coming. Everyone in town wanted to help Tyler, from the high school principal to the owner of the grocery store. We'd set up a money tree on the bar, and there were more hundred-dollar bills on it than I'd ever seen in my life.
Ian, Brady, and I had discussed it, and we were pooling up to three thousand total to buy a date with Tyler, and we kept upping each other until we got to the max. Someone out in the crowd was keeping up with us, though, until we got to a thousand, then it was just us.
Corey peered out into the people, squinting at the person that had stopped bidding. I couldn't see who it was from my angle, but he waved Nate over and whispered in his ear. Nate made a beeline for me. I was near the bar, positioned so I could keep an eye on the money tree and help Pearl with drinks if I needed to.
"The guy that was bidding against you is Tyler's nurse, and Corey said to tell you he's convinced the nurse is in love with Tyler."
"Ah," I said. "Okay, then. Go tell Ian to keep bidding against me, no matter what I say, up to the three thou we'd agreed on."
"Got it," Nate said and then ran off to his spot beside Ian.
I raised my paddle and waved it at Corey. He pointed back at me. "Do we have a question?"
"Yes, I'd like to take the last gentleman's bid and add a
hundred dollars to it."
"Combine?" Corey raised his eyebrows as if the suggestion was totally shocking to him.
Tyler started laughing, shaking his head. "Y'all are crazy."
I supposed he was right. We could've just given him our money. It would've been easier. But this hyped the crowd up, and we still had a bunch of items to auction off after the dates were done.
"Then we are at eleven hundred, I think," Corey said. "Anyone have twelve?"
This time Brady did the same thing, picking up on our game. "I'll add another two hundred to their total, giving it to the gentleman there in the middle."
Other people in the crowd joined in, shouting out dollar amounts. Corey did his best to keep up, and I noticed Ian furiously writing down something on a notebook. As someone promised another amount, he wrote. He was keeping track of all these promised donations so we could collect later. Smart man.
Eventually, it died down, and I looked at Brady. He shrugged. Pulling out my phone, I texted Ian. How much of our 3k is left?
He didn't answer, probably didn't even hear his phone. Nate looked over at me, so I waved my phone at him. He got the idea and said something to Ian, who pulled out his own phone.
In a second, I got a reply. We only spent three hundred of it. The rest of the crowd took care of the rest.
I nodded at him and raised my hand. "Add another twenty-seven hundred to that, and I believe our gentleman there in the center has successfully purchased a date with our town sweetheart." I didn't even know the poor guy's name and still couldn't see him from my vantage point.
Corey banged his gavel down onto the podium. "Sold!"
Daisy wheeled Tyler back behind the curtain, where his parents waited to take him around the crowd and out the door. He was still too weak to spend any significant amount of time in the crowd.
"Give us five minutes for the servers to refresh drinks and we'll begin the silent auction!"
The nurse jumped up, and I finally got a look at him. No wonder I hadn't been able to see him. He was tiny. If he was over four feet tall, it wouldn't have been by much at all. His bright red hair stood out more than anything, but he had the brightest smile and demeanor. If I had to guess at his disposition, I would've said cheery.
Scurrying to the side, he took the wheelchair from Tyler's mom and whispered something in Tyler's ear as they moved toward the door. Tyler laughed and relaxed. He was happy in the nurse's company. Hopefully it would move toward something good for both of them.
Suddenly, Tyler stiffened and slid out of his wheelchair. His mother screamed, but his nurse sprang into action. He helped Tyler slide on down to the floor. I ran to the back of the room, nudging people out of the way. The only thing I could see to do was move the wheelchair.
“Back up,” I called. “Tyler wouldn't want you hovering over him. Go on, return to your seats." They did as I said, thankfully. I thought Brady was going to have to come use his authority to get the well-meaning crowd to disperse.
After a couple of minutes, Tyler’s eyes opened. “Patrick?”
His nurse looked at his eyes and felt his pulse. “How do you feel?"
“Fine. How long was this one?"
“Only two minutes. Not as long as last time," The nurse, Patrick, put his hand under Tyler’s arm. I scurried around to help pull him into his chair.
As soon as Tyler was free of the two of us, his mother descended on him, pushing him out the door. "Let's get you back to the hospital.”
"I'm fine, Mom,” Tyler said in a weary voice.
“Patrick?” The nurse nodded, and I held out my hand. “I'm Carson. Is he okay?”
Patrick gave me a sad smile. “Yes, but he needs that service dog. Thank you all for doing this fundraiser." He shook my hand, then walked out the door.
Max walked up to me, smiling. “Is he going to be okay?”
"I think so. It's just scary in the moment.”
Giving him a big grin, I winked. “I won you.”
”How was I?" he asked as the noise of the crowd picked up.
"You were unbelievable. Doesn't it make you nervous to be up there like that?"
"You'd think it would, with how I am and all, but no. It makes me feel energetic and full of life."
"You know what we should do?" I asked, a smile spreading across my face.
"I'm afraid to ask."
"We should go sing karaoke in Bend."
"I...would actually do that," Max said with a laugh, putting his arm around me. "Now, let's go check out these silent auction items. You might have to buy me something."
His words caused butterflies in my stomach. I knew he was only joking, but the fact that he was willing to joke about me spending money on him was a huge step forward.
And little did he know, I already had. The donated items were lined up along the wall in the back of the room, and would be brought up and talked about one at a time. The rest of the evening would be time for the guests to mingle and place bids on each item.
Each item had a vastly different value, but each was important, because it got us one step closer to our goal of fifty thousand. I didn't think we'd raise that much tonight, but if we even got half, Tyler might be able to get grants to cover the rest of the cost of the dog. The goal was for him to avoid having to have a loan to do it.
After the items were introduced, we floated lots of cheap wine around the room, free of charge, and the donators of the items stood near them to sing their praises.
Waiting with bated breath, I held Max's hand as everyone quieted down and Corey went up to announce the winners.
He told the winner, but not how much each person spent, to give a semblance of privacy to the winners.
As if we all hadn't peeked at the bids.
Finally he got to the part I was excited about. "And the winner of the weekend at the Three Lakes Bed and Breakfast, complete with Sweetheart Suite and champagne date night is Carson!"
Max's jaw dropped. "Are you serious?"
"Yes. As a heart attack."
I wrapped him in my arms, happier than I could remember being ever in my life.
