“Leah,” he sighed. “I'm not your patient anymore. You're not doing anything wrong. Can you please just try not to let your own head get in the way of us—this time?"
“There is no us, Jacob. As far as I'm concerned, this date is pretty much a therapy session. I feel like I kind of owe it to you for dropping you so suddenly—and for being so unprofessional."
He tilted my chin up to look at him. “I know you're attracted to me. I know you want this as much as I do.”
My heart started to flutter, luckily the waiter interrupted us with our drinks and appetizers.
Jacob quickly ordered dinner for the both of us. Which of course, mildly irritated me.
“Do you always have to be the one in control?”
Fire flashed in his eyes. “Yes. Always.”
His response caused me to suck in a breath as he continued, “When I see something I want, I go after it. Full force. No exceptions.”
His hand subtly dropped down to skim across my naked back, causing me to flush.
I took a sip of my drink. Hell, I practically guzzled it down. The effect he was having on my body was too intense.
Jacob gave me an odd look. “You feeling alright, Dr. Adams?” His hand continued to skim across my flesh, giving me goosebumps.
“I'm fine,” I replied, before picking up an hors d'oeuvre and biting into it.
The waiter came back over to us and I immediately ordered another drink.
Jacob shot me another odd look. “Do you want me to stop touching you?” he whispered in my ear as butterflies in my stomach erupted.
I shook my head. “Yes—No—I don't know.”
He removed his hand from my back and took a sip of his own drink while studying my face.
The truth was, I was scared.
My life and my heart were way too complicated to let someone else in. Especially a person like Jacob. Hiding behind my ethics and boundaries was easy for me to do.
Plus, I couldn't stop the same nagging thought that kept going through my head, since the second his gorgeous eyes turned my way.
Why the hell does he want me? It just didn't make any sense. I wasn’t ugly, but I certainly wasn’t movie-star beautiful. Jacob could literally have any woman, or supermodel, in the whole entire world. Hell, the pretty hostess practically passed out cold at the sight of him.
“Why me? Why do you want me?”
Jacob was about to answer when we were suddenly interrupted.
“Leah? Is that you?” I heard a familiar voice say.
I turned my head and was more than shocked to find Alan standing before us.
Shit.
Chapter 8
“Hi, Alan. How are you?” I asked, still in disbelief.
His warm brown eyes met mine and he smiled down at me, I found myself smiling back. “Wow, you look amazing,” he said, giving me a once over.
Jacob gestured to the table. “Please, join us. Won't you,” he said curtly.
“I'm sorry. Where are my manners? Jacob this is Alan. Alan this is Jacob,” I said trying my best not to let the awkwardness of the situation take its toll.
They shook hands and Jacob's eyes cut him down to size.
Alan looked taken back. “I don't mean to interrupt. I have a business meeting, but I can sit for a few minutes— if that's okay with you, Leah?"
Well, I certainly didn't want to be rude and it had been awhile since we'd seen one another, so I nodded.
Jacob didn't look too pleased, but he didn't stop the exchange from happening, either. Which mildly surprised me.
I took another sip of my second apple martini, it was just enough to take the edge off. Almost.
Alan gave me an odd look then, the same one that Jacob did before.
I could understand Alan's concern since he knew all about my past, but now; I was equally perplexed by Jacob's concern.
“So how have you been?” I asked.
“I've been good, real good, Leah. I took out a loan and finally opened my own practice. How have you been?” His eyes flicked over to Jacob briefly before turning back to me. I didn’t miss the hint of jealousy swirling in them. “How do you and Jacob know one another?"
I never could lie to Alan. “He's a pat—” I started, before Jacob's voice cut me off. “I'm a client.”
Alan made a face, appearing understandably daunted. “You're going out to dinner with a client, wearing that?” he asked, bewildered.
My face turned the color of my dress as Jacob interjected, “I'm sorry. Perhaps I wasn't clear before. I meant I'm a potential business client of, Dr. Adams. This is a business meeting of our own. I own a software company and I'm hoping that Leah will be willing to use our software in her office."
My eyes met his then, I didn't know whether to be grateful to him or slap him.
Alan sat up straight and fixed his tie. “Wait a minute. Holy shit. You're not Jacob Sand—of Sand Corp, are you?”
“That's exactly who I am,” Jacob responded coldly, causing Alan to shift uncomfortably in his seat.
Alan appeared both flustered and impressed. “Wow. I had no idea. Here's my business card, if you ever want to do business—I would be honored,” he said as he handed a business card to Jacob.
The waiter came over with our food then. Just when I thought the worst was over, Alan shocked me with his next statement. “Can we talk for a second, Leah? I have some things I really need you to hear.”
I made to get up from the table to talk with him privately but Jacob clamped a hand down on my arm, halting me. “Please—talk.” He waved a hand and smiled. “I have a few emails to answer anyway. Pretend like I'm not even here,” he finished before turning his attention to his phone.
Yup, I should have seen that one coming. Apparently this exchange was bringing his need to control every single thing to a peak.
Alan shrugged and looked my way. “I'm so sorry, Leah. About everything—” he began.
His statement aggravated me and I couldn't help myself from uttering my next statement. “So, how is Aubrey?”
He swallowed hard. “I'm not with Aubrey anymore. I'm single actually. I have been for awhile. I've been meaning to contact you. I was just too much of a chicken shit."
If I was being honest with myself, a small part of me liked hearing him apologize and grovel.
Alan was the safe choice, and he already knew everything about me and accepted my past. Maybe it was fate that we ended up meeting again while I was on a date with someone like Jacob. I looked at Alan and smiled.
That's when I felt Jacob's hand slowly move up my thigh, causing me to blush. I sipped my apple martini and forced my body not to respond to his touch.
My body was the ultimate backstabber because I found myself unable to turn his hand away. His touch was soft, yet commanding at the same time.
I took another sip from my apple martini, and his hand slowly moved my dress up past my thighs.
Luckily, we were in a private corner and our table was covered with a long table cloth.
I looked over at Jacob out of the corner of my eye. He appeared to be very absorbed in something on his phone. No one but him and I knew what was happening under the table.
I also couldn't yell at him or berate him in front of Alan, so he had me right where he wanted me. Submitting to him and under his control.
I didn't know if that turned me on even more or made me furious.
“Oh. Well, I'm sorry to hear about you and Aubrey,” I responded to Alan, as Jacob's hand moved between my thighs.
I started breathing harder—Alan didn't seem to notice.
He rested his forearms on the table. “I made a mistake, Leah. A horrible mistake. I hope one day you'll be able to forgive me.”
I almost felt myself cave in, but Jacob's long fingers skimmed over my lace panties.
Panties which were no doubt soaked at this point.
I was so mesmerized by what he was doing, I could only politely nod at Alan.
I glanced over at Jacob
and he smirked at me briefly.
I took another sip of my apple martini.
The waiter then came over and I ordered another glass of liquid courage.
Alan made a face when I did, but he was still oblivious to the exchange happening under the table.
“I care about you, Leah. I'll always love you,” he continued, as Jacob proceeded to move my panties to the side.
His finger gently skimmed along my outer lips, causing me to shiver.
“I'm not upsetting you, am I?” Alan then asked.
“No. Not at all—please, don’t stop,” I said, not quite realizing what it was that I just said.
Shit, now I was mixing up my directives.
Alan gave me a funny look. “Alright, well—I was wondering if you would maybe, give me another chance one day?” He held up his hands. “I know it's a lot to think about. I'm just hoping there's still a chance for us."
I didn't have time to think about what Alan was saying because Jacob's finger entered me in one swift motion. I arched my back against the booth.
This was a dirty, dirty game alright, I'll give him that.
His finger brushed along my bundle of nerves and it was all I could do not to cry out in pleasure. I had to get rid of Alan, this was becoming embarrassing.
His expert finger lightly feathered my clit and I started panting. “I understand, Alan. I'll think about it and I'll give you a call sometime. Have a good night.”
Alan smiled at me as Jacob flexed his finger inside me and increased his pace.
I found myself reaching the threshold when Alan got up from the table and shook Jacob's other hand.
I bit my lip hard as his finger brought me to a climax that was out of this world.
After Alan left, Jacob withdrew his hand from between my legs and turned to face me. “You feeling alright, Dr. Adams?” he asked, with a glint of humor in his eye.
I took a gulp of my drink. “Yeah. Never better.”
“Good. I'm glad,” he whispered. He licked his finger and closed his eyes briefly, appearing to savor the taste.
I felt my whole body flush when he looked at me again. “Why don't I take you home now?”
“I have my car here. I can't just leave it,” I protested.
“I have someone that will deliver your car to you by morning. Mark, my head of security at Sand Corp, can do it. He's the only person I trust.” He gave me a cocky smile. “You've been drinking, Leah. Let me give you a ride."
“Okay,” I agreed, my voice barely above a whisper.
Dammit, I was even more nervous and turned on now.

Jacob was the perfect gentlemen once we got in the car. I didn't know if that made me want him more or less.
He walked me to the front door when we got to my house.
His hand grazed my cheek softly. “I had a lovely evening.”
“Me too—thanks,” I said, before I could stop myself.
“Anytime,” he whispered as his hands grabbed my waist, his thumbs skimming over my rib-cage.
I swallowed hard and pushed down the feelings the contact ignited in me. “I can't, Jacob. Danny's inside, it wouldn't be right. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lead you on. I should have stopped what happened at the restaurant. I'm really sorry—" I started, before he cut me off.
“Would you stop apologizing, Leah. Stop taking the blame for things that aren't wrong. Besides, I already told you. No sex—tonight. I'm a man of my word."
He leaned in closer. His scent was overwhelming, and I was overcome with lust.
Before I knew what I was doing, I forcefully grabbed his collar and kissed him.
He pressed into me and his tongue brushed along mine, causing me to moan. His hands softly caressed all over my body and he gently nipped my bottom lip. “You're making it impossible to walk away from you, Dr. Adams,” he rasped against my lips.
His use of my professional title snapped me back to reality.
I shoved him off me and scrambled to get inside the house. “Oh, god. Shit —I'm sorry. I have to go. Have a good night.”
“I'll see you at the game tomorrow,” he sighed before he walked back to his car.
Chapter 9
As insanely attracted as I was to Jacob. I decided to make sure that he understood that we wouldn't be having any more dates.
I was the professional. It was clear now, that I was taking advantage of him and his—illness.
The last thing I should be doing is dating a former client—especially one with a sex addiction. No matter how gorgeous he may be.
I decided that Danny's game would be the perfect place to inform him of this.
I watched as all the sports mom's whispered and made eyes at Jacob, instead of focusing on the game. I couldn't blame them, he was back in his sexy jeans and t-shirt and just as irresistible as ever.
I decided to wait until Danny was off the field before I started, “Jacob can we talk for a second?"
He looked over at me. “Of course, Dr. Adams. What's on your mind?”
I took a deep breath. “I don't think we should go on any more dates. It's not you. It's all me. I'm the one taking advantage of you. I'm sorry."
I watched his green eyes flash fire at me and he gave me a smirk. “You're worried about taking advantage—of me?” he questioned, failing to hide his amusement.
“Yes. You're in a very vulnerable position. You have an illness. It's not right for me to be taking advantage of that. It's not ethical—" I continued as he rolled his eyes and laughed.
“It's not funny, Jacob. I'm serious. Please understand. It's not right for me to cross certain boundaries. Even if you aren't a client of mine anymore," I finished.
We both watched as Danny went up to bat then.
“I took an oath to do no harm,” I added softly as the crowd began to cheer wildly.
I focused my attention back on the field and noticed that Danny was just about to make a home run and win the entire game for his team.
I got up from my seat and started cheering the loudest out of everyone in the crowd. It was a proud moment.
Jacob stood up with me and started cheering along with me too, causing the crowd of mothers to stop and stare at us now.
This was awkward.
After the crowd finally settled down, and the game ended, he turned to face me.
“Very well, Dr. Adams. Have it your way," he said coldly, before walking away from me and stopping to say goodbye to Danny.

The next day, I began my sessions with my new client, Mrs. Downing. She was very sweet but very heartbroken over her recent divorce.
We talked for over three hours that day, and it felt great to finally feel like I was actually helping someone. She smiled and thanked me before she left and we agreed to meet again on Friday. Smiling, I sat down at my desk and briefly caught up on some paperwork. I checked my watch, 9:30pm.
I was finishing up and checking on a few emails from potential clients when I heard a knock at the door.
“It's open,” I said, secretly hoping that I wasn't about to let an ax murderer walk right through my door.
“Hello, Dr. Adams,” Jacob's deep, sensual voice called out to me.
I closed my eyes before I looked up at him.
Yup, still sexy. Still off limits, though.
“Jacob, what are you doing here? We've already talked about this.”
I got up from my desk and walked to the middle of the room, he needed to leave.
“I needed to see you,” he said, closing the door behind him.
“What's the problem?”
He took a few steps towards me backing me up against my desk. “The problem appears to be you.”
“Jacob, I think you may have something called transference. It's a very common problem between therapists and clients. It's most likely because you started opening up to me. Unfortunately, I've only made your problem worse by leading you on."
He took another step toward me, closing the spac
e between us. “Don't give me that psychobabble bullshit, Leah.”
“Look, I told you. This isn't ethical for me. I can't do this—” I started, as he lifted my skirt and pressed me against the desk.
He knelt down and his mouth spread into a mischievous grin. “I do love it when you wear skirts.”
I was at a loss for words and my knees went weak when he parted my thighs and yanked down my panties.
I blushed and was ready to protest but he shushed me. “Just because you can't do anything—doesn't mean that I can't, Dr. Adams,” he whispered as his head fell between my legs.
“Jacob, I can't. I told you—oh my— fucking god!” I cried out when his tongue found my clit.
He laughed softly as he continued teasing my clit with his tongue.
Leah you should stop this, no matter how much you want this.
This is bad. Fuck, but it feels so good, I thought as his tongue dipped inside me, causing me to grab onto my desk and hold on for dear life.
My breathing became labored and I moaned as his tongue swirled around my clit, causing me to see stars.
Within minutes, I felt myself reaching the peak. He was so damn talented, too damn talented.
I gasped, reached down, and grabbed a handful of his hair as he continued probing and pleasuring me. Mewling, I threw myself against the desk and ground my hips against his mouth as he let out a low moan.
His deep moan only fueled me on further—and before I knew it, I was screaming out his name as I climaxed into his mouth.
He appeared to be thoroughly enjoying himself because he continued gently licking up every last drop of my release, causing me to shiver and close my eyes.
I laid down on top of my desk, I was down for the count.
I didn't even notice when he got up and stood over me. “You be sure to let me know when you want more of that, Dr. Adams. You know where to find me,” he whispered into my ear.
Then he walked across the room and shut the door behind him.
Shit.
Chapter 10
Three days later, I received my own interesting piece of mail.
From my student loan company—informing me that all of my student loan's had officially been paid up in full.
