He can trace his roots back to the great Persian kings: Cyrus the Great and Darius. His father’s name is Dariush, after one of the great kings of Persia. His forebears are even mentioned in the book of Daniel in the infidels’ Bible. They are a proud people with a long and rich history. The dream has been for generations, and the man has been brought up to always work and strive for it—the restoration of the great Persian Empire which once stretched as far as Athens, modern day Bulgaria, Egypt, and Libya.
One by one, their ragged breathing stills as they all die in front of his eyes, while the tears stream down his face. He tries to scream to Allah but no sound comes out of his throat. He stands witness to the destruction of his family for two hours before it is over. Finally, before he turns to leave, he whispers softly “May Allah let me die a death a thousand times worse than this if I do not avenge the death of my loved ones on the evil one who did this.”
Slowly he walks away, making his way through and over the sick and dying, with the moans and crying burning into his mind to haunt him for the rest of his life – a broken and lonely man. Blindly, he makes his way to the sterilizing room, where he is again sterilized, given a new protection suit and taken out to a waiting car to be returned to his office.
