Wanted: Miller (Silverpines Series Book 10) Page 9

by George H. McVey

Her lips sought his and he wrapped his arms around her. “I did see them, my sweet, beautiful Antonia, and I heard them, too, every single I love you blazing through the darkness lighting my way home to you.”

Then he kissed her like he’d never thought he’d have another chance to do again. When they finally came apart for air, Alexzander insisted they get him inside so that Doctor Richards could look him over. That was when she finally let him go. “Don’t you ever do that to me again, Braylon Jefferson Watts. I can’t lose you. I won’t be able to take it if you aren’t here to hear me say I love you every single morning and night. Do you hear me?”

He smiled as he tried to kiss her again but she pushed his face away. “NO! No more kisses for you. I’m mad at you. You didn’t tell me your parents were moving here. I would have had a cake or a party to welcome them.”

Then she proved herself a liar by kissing him soundly over and over. “I love you so much, Braylon.”

“I love you, too, my Antonia, but you have to stop kissing me, my parents are watching.”

She kissed him again. “I don’t care. Let them watch; let the whole world watch. I love you and don’t care who sees it!”

There was a throat cleared behind her. “I’m glad for you, Mrs. Watts, truly, but would you mind allowing me to examine my patient now?”

“I guess but make it quick doctor, I have a feeling my lips aren’t going to be satisfied for long.”

“Yes, ma’am, I can see that. Newlyweds.”

“I’m telling Hattie you said that.”

That’s fine, ma’am. I’ll just kiss her and she’ll forget. Like I’m sure you will with a few more kisses.”

Everyone laughed and Tonya couldn’t care less. She just wanted them to hurry and go away so she could take her husband to bed and take care of him like he deserved for the rest of their lives.

  The End.

  About the Author

George McVey always wanted to be a superhero; sadly, no radioactive storms or animals have been a part of his life. One day while spinning a tall tale for his family, some suggested once again that with all his experiences in ministry, and his imagination, he should be writing books. This time it was like lightning struck him and he decided, why not.

Since then, George has been hard at work using his creative imagination and writing several books. He's still adding to his bibliography to this day. You can find them all on his Amazon.com page. George lives in the wonderful state of Almost Heaven, West Virginia. In a lovely basement apartment with his wife of 31 years, Sheri, and a service dog named Daisy Mae.

If you ever come to visit him, you will probably find him sitting in his lazy boy recliner or at his desk in the corner office working on some writing project. If not a teaching book, then a novel. If he isn't working on a novel either, then he will be working on a short story or blog post. If he isn't doing either of those then he is either asleep or eating, his other two favorite past times.

You can reach him by email at [email protected].
