Dylan and Taylor (Soul Mates 101 Series) Page 8

by Scarlet Wolfe

I did not expect him to have the nerve to try to seduce me tonight. Is he for real? In none of our conversation did he say he was sorry for hitting me when we were together.

If he truly regrets giving me up, why hasn’t he looked for me?

I have a flash back to the charm he laid on me the night he convinced me to have sex for the first time, and then I see the fury he had in his eyes the times he hurt me physically. I’m his pursuit for the night, his score to show his buddies. Before I can stop him, he’s planting his lips on mine, and all I can think about is Dylan.

  Dylan

I look out at the dance floor and see Taylor dancing with some guy. I’m figuring it’s this Sam she said she spoke to. I thought I was a little jealous when Brett got with Hannah, but that was nothing. I want to hurt this man whose hand is gliding along the small of Taylor’s back.

I keep trying to bring my attention back to the blonde as I joke around with her friends and her. She’s being flirty, and I get the vibe she’d happily go home with me as she plays with my hair and runs her hand up and down my thigh. I think her name is Jessica. I wish I cared, but I don’t.

Instead, I want nothing more than to take Taylor from Sam, but Taylor’s not throwing herself at me the way Hannah did with Brett. He knew he could throw her over his shoulder and get away with it since he knew Hannah wanted to be with him. Taylor may want to be with this dick for all I know, and I guess I do know now that I see his damn lips on hers!

Out of raging jealousy I turn to Jessica and kiss her, but it’s as if I’m going through the motions. None of the desire I felt with Taylor is in this kiss.

  Taylor

Sam tries to force his tongue into my mouth, and all I can imagine is the pain I know Dylan will feel if he sees me kissing Sam. I have to go to Dylan and tell him how much I care for him before he does something we’ll both regret. I take my hands and shove Sam away from me before I bore the pent up anger I’ve felt for three years into his eyes.

“See all of this,” I say venomously, pointing to myself from head to toe. “You’ll never touch any of it again. You don’t care one damn bit about me, or you would’ve found me before tonight, and you would’ve apologized for all the times you smacked me around. You just want me in your bed tonight, but you can just go to hell!”

“You’re still the bitch and tease you always were, Taylor, and we’re not finished!”

I turn to go to Dylan and see him making out with the girl he danced with. My heart hurts as I storm to our table.

“I was going to tell Dylan how I feel. I swear, Hannah. That’s one of the reasons I pushed Sam away, but he’s with someone else. I’m getting a cab back to the cabin, and then I need you to take me to a rental car place in the morning. Coming here was a mistake.”

“Dylan’s being such an ass!” Chelsea yells.

I hurry to the front door and ask the doorman to call me a cab before going into the bathroom to cry.

  Dylan

I stop this pointless kiss and glance to the dance floor and then our table. Not seeing Taylor makes me furious. I can’t believe she’d go off with Sam that easily when I’ve tried so hard to win her over … when I’ve kept her safe.

I turn to the blonde and ask her if she wants to go back to the cabin. I won’t sleep with her, but I want Taylor to think so. I want her to feel the pain I’ve dealt with for half a fucking year as I tried everything to be with her.

This chick is drunk and agrees like all the other women I’ve gotten into bed with my charm. I guess Taylor was right. It was always bullshit instead of charm but not with her. Everything’s different with her. I hold this girl’s hand and walk her over to our table. “Everyone this is Jessica, and she’s going back to the cabin with us.”

“Like hell she is!” Hannah shouts. Brett grabs hold of her arm. Hannah’s never been pissed at me, and I don’t like it one bit.

“Baby, don’t scratch his eyes out.”

“What the hell is your problem, Hannah?”

“You know why I’m angry, Dylan.”

“So, it’s OK for Taylor to go off with some guy, but not OK for me to hook up with someone?”

Chelsea walks over and grabs my arm. “Excuse us, Jessica, I have to speak to Dylan alone.”

The girl turns around and walks away, obviously embarrassed. “This is bullshit, Chelsea.” She leads me away from the table to stand near a wall.

“Dylan, she pushed Sam away as soon as he kissed her, and she told him off. She didn’t really want to dance with him. Taylor told us she was on her way to tell you she had feelings for you, but then she saw you kissing that girl.”

“Shit!” I run my hands through my hair.

“She took off crying and is taking a taxi back to the cabin. She may still be here, but she’s going back to Nashville in the morning.”

I’m panicked now. “I have to find her.”

“I’ll call the limo, and if you aren’t out front, I’ll assume you went with her.”

  Taylor

After about ten minutes, I get it together enough to leave the bathroom. I go out the exit to wait for the taxi. It’s dark and creeps me out, but I’m not about to step one foot back in that place. I lean against a wall and try to get the image of Dylan kissing the girl out of my head.

It’s freezing, and I think about him keeping me warm. I screwed it all up, but at the same time, I’m pissed at him. He’s just trying to hurt me. Warm tears sting my eyes and streak my cold cheeks.

“There you are, bitch!” I jump from the voice I hear. I’ve heard that tone before. Sam is coming straight at me. He grabs my mouth and shoves me hard against the brick wall. I feel my exposed back scrape along it. “You’re not getting away with humiliating me in front of my friends,” he spews at me.

I breathe in his breath that’s saturated with hard liquor and feel my chest tighten. It reminds me of my parents. Three men I’d seen sitting with Sam come out the door. Oh this is bad.

“Get off of me, Sam, you’re drunk. You got what you deserve for treating me like shit when we were together.” I have trouble getting my words out as he grips my jaw. It hurts.

Sam lets go of my mouth, and like old times, he back hands me across the cheek before grabbing my face again. The asshole shoves his leg between mine, pushing himself against me before he grabs hold of my breast. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Dylan.

  Dylan

I go out the front door of the bar to find Taylor, praying she hasn’t left yet. I see the SOB she was dancing with earlier hit her. I’m going to kill him! Letting out the loudest growl, I charge Sam, but before reaching him, Taylor lays an elbow center to his throat. When he starts to fall over, she knees him in the groin.

I grab him by his shirt and pull him up before I strike his face, causing blood to pour from his nose as he drops to the ground. Two men, who I’m guessing are his friends, grab me and hold me. As I struggle to free myself from their tight grip, the third guy punches me twice in the stomach. I fall over from the pain while these losers still hold on to me.

“Holy shit!” I hear Cody yell before I look up and see him coming toward us. Brett, Matt and Austin are right behind him.

“Brett, No!” Hannah screams. “You can’t fight!”

Brett freezes, groaning loudly, and I see his fists clench. Cody grabs one of the men holding me while Matt grabs the other, each of them laying a punch to the cowards’ faces.

Matt then sucker punches the third man causing a sudden expulsion of air to escape him before Matt knees him, dropping him to the ground.

The second I’m freed, I’m in front of Taylor, scanning her entire body for injuries. I normally would be right in the fight, but I feel nothing but urgency to know she’s not hurt. I feel someone grab my shoulder, and when I turn around, Austin’s grabbing Sam who’d gotten back up and was about to hit me.

He spins Sam around and knocks him out from the powerful strike of an upper cut to his jaw. Austin’s one of the nicest, laid ba
ck guys I know, but you don’t fuck with his friends or his girl.

Taylor stands frozen with fear. My stomach is aching from the punches to my gut, but I’m only worried about her. The girls are screaming as the limo pulls up just in time. Everyone gets in, and I sit next to Taylor. Leaning in front of her, I take hold of her head, looking again for injuries.

“Get away from me, Dylan,” she says furiously, pulling away. “Where’s the slut you were with?”

“I thought you were kissing Sam, and it’s the only reason I kissed her. You have to believe me.”

“I don’t have to do anything, and I was handling Sam just fine on my own.”

“You couldn’t have fought off all four of them, Taylor.” She’s so damn stubborn. “I don’t even want to think about what they might’ve done to you.”

“What the hell happened, Dylan?” Matt asks.

“I came out of the bar and found him back handing Taylor before he groped her and grabbed her mouth.”

“That’s definitely a reason to punch the asshole,” Matt says.

Taylor glares at me. “Like I said before, I got him off of me on my own.”

“Not before he hit you, Taylor!”

  Hannah starts sobbing and shaking.

“Oh no, baby.” Brett pulls her into his lap and cradles her against his chest.

I run my hands down my face. “Hannah, I’m sorry about the fight.” This night’s been a disaster.

“Dylan, just let it go. You had to protect Taylor. He should get his ass beat a second time for stirring shit back up for Hannah,” Brett says.

No one speaks the rest of the way home, and once we get out of the limo, I take Hannah into my arms and hug her. I hate seeing her hurting over her assault.

When at First You Don’t Succeed ….

  Dylan

Once inside, I go to the kitchen and put some ice in a towel. I’m not about to let Taylor walk away again. I can hear her crying as I knock on her door and jiggle the handle.

“I know it’s you, Dylan. Go away!”

“I’m not going anywhere, so you might as well open this door.”

“Just let it go. You told me this morning you were done, and it was pretty obvious tonight.”

I get out my wallet and find my driver’s license. Swiping it along the door frame, I pop the lock. Taylor spins around after I open the door. “Why are you so damn stubborn?” she asks as I put my wallet away.

“Oh give me a break, sunshine. You’re just as stubborn, and that’s why we’re always fighting.” I walk up to her and gently wipe her tears away before I hold the ice on her cheek.

“Taylor, I saw him put his lips on yours, and I was jealous. I wanted nothing more than to pull him off of you, but I thought you wanted to kiss him, so I wasn’t going to sit and watch. Out of jealousy, I kissed her.

“I was going to bring her here, but only because I thought you were with Sam. I never would’ve touched her, and I felt nothing when I kissed her. All I could think about was you. You know I want you. I feel I’ve made that clear.”

I run my free hand down the back of her hair, stroking it repeatedly.

“When I pushed Sam away, I was going to go to you, but seeing you kiss her made me realize that I can’t risk having my heart destroyed again. You have no idea what he put me through when I was younger.”

“Seeing what he did to you tonight gives me a good idea, but if you were going to come to me, then I know you feel something for me, Taylor. Please don’t fight it. I swear I’d never hurt you like he did.

“You’re all I can think about, sweetheart. Please let me sleep next to you again and hold you.” I remove the ice from her cheek and give her one soft kiss on her lips.

She gazes up at me. “OK.”

I let out a sigh of relief. Taking the towel of ice from my hand, she goes into the restroom with it. When she comes out, I’m sitting on her bed.

“Can you please unbutton the back of my blouse?” she asks.

I become nervous as I walk over to her. I need to know Taylor has feelings for me and isn’t going to push me away again before we mess around. I don’t feel my heart can take getting hurt any more than hers can. She turns her back to me and lifts up her hair. When I get close to her, I see her skin is red and cut open.

“Taylor, you have scrapes on your back.”

“He pushed me against the brick wall. They don’t hurt now. Are they bleeding?”

“No, but any man who can put his hands on a woman like that needs his ass beat. Has he done something like this to you before?”

She’s silent for several seconds, so I already know the answer. “Yes, he used to hit me when we dated.”

I feel my blood boiling, and I want to kill Sam. I undo the one button holding her top together and watch the two sides fall as Taylor holds it up in the front. My eyes flash to her tattoo. “Taylor, why do you have a guitar pick tattoo?” I ask as my heart races. This chick is so sexy.

“Umm ... I can play the guitar.”

“Wow, I guess we have more in common than I thought. You must really love it to have this tattoo.” Seeing her bare back and her hot tattoo has my body on fire for her. Taylor drops her hair, but I take hold of it and drape it over one of her shoulders. I slide my hands down her arms and lean over, planting three kisses along the back of her shoulder.

“I fantasize about touching all of your silky skin,” I whisper in her ear. “And I’ll wait as long as it takes to get the opportunity. You’re worth waiting for.” She turns around, and her body is trembling as she leans up and gently kisses me.

“Dylan, I want to be with you, and I should’ve told you sooner, but I couldn’t get the nerve or find the right words. I’m sorry I hurt you so many times. I care about you a lot.”

I lean my forehead against hers. “You just made me so damn happy.”

“I’m glad you’re sleeping in here. Would you please turn off the light?”

I do as she asks and climb into bed in just my boxers. It hits me that Taylor never got out any kind of shirt to wear to bed. Knowing she’s only going to be in her panties has me questioning if I can lie this close and resist the temptation to devour every inch of her.

Instead of turning away, she pushes her front side up against me and plunges her tongue into my mouth. I’m surprised and can’t resist her, so I pull her even closer. My body burns even more when I feel her full tits pressed against my chest and my hair being pulled in her hands.

I focus on the warm feel of her skin against me and her eager tongue in my mouth. Moving her hand from my hair, she slides it into my boxer briefs and wraps it around my throbbing erection.

Pleasure and anxiety wash over me when I realize there’ll be no turning back as her touch has my lust for her winning. She begins stroking me up and down in a rhythmic motion, and Fuck, it feels amazing.

“Damn, Taylor, that feels good.” I glide my hand up in between us and caress her breast as I groan against her neck from the seizing sensation and pleasure that’s building.

Wanting her to feel the same, I slowly move my hand from her chest to her stomach until I reach the warmth between her thighs. I feel her luscious, wet flesh as I imagine my hard dick deep inside of her.

Her soft moan and arch of her body against my exploring fingers only feed my desire. I’ll do this all day every day if I can hear her moan like that. It’s the hottest sound to my ears.

The heat between us is explosive as we increase our speed, indulging in the gift the other is giving, and man is it ever a gift. One I didn’t think I was getting. I circle my thumb around her clit while my fingers pump in and out of her, and I can’t hold on a moment longer.

“Yes, Dylan,” she cries out. When I feel her come, she bites down on my shoulder, and with one last stroke from her, I erupt. I swear she has a magical hand. We eventually still against the others trembling body.

I get a towel and clean up before I get back in bed and pull her into my arms. I kiss her forehead and s
troke her hair. I think I might love this woman.

  Taylor

Dylan’s peaceful breathing as I snuggle against him is the best wake-up call ever. I carefully get out of bed and go to shower. I feel I need it after everything that went on last night. Besides, Sam touched me, and I want to wash it away.

Happiness fills my heart, and I’m excited about the future. Dylan and I have a passion that constantly flows between us like a current. It’s been there since the first day we met, and maybe now that I’m not fighting it, we’ll stop fighting all together. We’re both intense though, and together it’s magnified, so it’s something we might always battle, but he’s worth the fight.

The way we need the others touch just to sleep is special, too. I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure we enjoy our last days together at this cabin. I know I have to tell Dylan about my dad, and I pray it won’t mess things up between us.

After throwing on a light pink tank top and black panties I lie on the bed and run my fingers along the side of his hair. Dylan’s gorgeous features have me turned on again, but it’s his amazing heart that warms me the most.

  Dylan

Taylor’s touch and tropical scent that smells amazing brings me out of my peaceful sleep. I look over at her, and I’m relieved when I see the huge smile on her face. I’ve never seen a grin like this on Taylor, and I love it.

I reach over and stroke her arm. “I thought last night was an awesome surprise until I opened my eyes. Seeing that grin on your face is the best one yet.”

“Aww, Dylan. To ease your mind, the smile is going nowhere.”

“You’re so beautiful. I love that you’ll let me see you with wet hair and no make-up. You’re pretty without any additions.”

“Thank you. It’s almost noon, so I’m going to finish getting ready and go downstairs. I believe I owe everyone big time for what they’ve been through since we got here. I think the girls want to go shopping today, so I need to win them over with some purchases.” She giggles. “I think I may have to bring you guys something back, too.”
