“I’m going to hire someone to plan my wedding. I don’t want to have one, and Ryan insists on having a wedding so all of his brothers can be in it. I’m just not someone who can plan weddings, because I couldn’t care less.” Myra smiles and take a bite of her food.
“I don’t blame you, girl! I heard that one of Braelyn’s friends is a wedding planner, so I would ask Brae,” Chrystal tells her.
“Good idea!”
After finishing my food, I stand up. “I’m going to the bathroom.”
A prospect is stationed at every entrance of the restaurant to make sure someone who isn’t wanted doesn’t come in. Walking by a booth of women, I see one stick their foot out. I attempt to jump over it, but I still stumble. Luckily I catch myself and stand back up. I turn to see who stuck their leg out.
Oh my god!
It’s the bitch from Victoria’s Secret!
She arches a pencil-thin eyebrow at me, and it pisses me off. I could have fallen, gotten hurt, and hurt my babies. That shit isn’t going to fly with me. After picking her glass of wine up, I dump the contents over her head.
She screams, and I throw the glass in her face. Her head snaps back with a thump, and I laugh. After cocking my fist back, I punch her hard on the nose and then again on the mouth.
She screams again and her hand flies out, grabbing my hair. She pulls but not hard enough to really hurt. Pulling my hair loose, I reach and grab her. I pull hard as I can and pull a wad full out of her head.
“Pull my hair, bitch. I’ll pull you bald! You could have hurt me!” I scream and pull another wad out.
After throwing the hair down onto her lap, I spin around to go back to the ladies. I jump back at the sight of all of them standing there.
“Remind me to never piss you off!” Chrystal chuckles and wraps her arm around me.
“I got the shit on camera!” Jean yells, and I roll my eyes.
“Fuck, Alisha. What did you do now?” Vinny looks at me and the crying woman.
Sighing, I place my hands on my hips. “She tripped me and I almost fell. It pissed me off because I’m pregnant.”
Vinny’s jaw tightens with anger. “Call your man and tell him to pick you up!” he yells.
She flinches. She grabs her phone and runs out of the restaurant.
Vinny calls Jordan. Well, there goes girls’ day. I look at the girls, and they nod in understanding. Wrapping my arm around Chrystal’s back, I lay my head on her shoulder. That woman shouldn’t be doing that shit. I know she overheard our conversation and did that on purpose to hurt me. What if she had done it to Kayla? That would have been absolutely horrible!
It isn’t normal for that woman to be here. Is she following me? What if I had fallen and landed on my stomach or struck something and hurt my babies? Touching my stomach, I let out a shaky breath. Tears well in my eyes.
“Oh, Alisha.” Myra wraps me in her arms.
I lay my head on her shoulder, crying. I’m more shaken up than I thought. I’m just fearful of losing the babies, and the thought of that hurts me.
I just got the call from Vinny. Alisha was tripped by the same woman from Victoria’s Secret the other day. She tripped her on purpose, and Alisha beat her up.
Walking into the restaurant, I see she’s crying. Fuck. It hits me like a Mack truck to see that she’s upset.
“Angel?” I call for her.
She raises her head, looking at me. Her eyes are wet, and she’s holding her stomach. I get it now. She was scared because that bitch tripped her and could have hurt her and our babies.
I pluck her from Myra’s arms and wrap my arms around her, her head tucked into my chest and her fist clutching the back of my cut. I look at Vinny, who is already staring at the both of us. I nod.
I’m going to be paying a visit to those bitches later. They need to stay the fuck away. We won’t hurt the bitches, but we sure as fuck can make them suffer. They like their money, and I will bleed them dry.
“Let’s get you home, angel.” I kiss the top of her head and pick her up off the floor bridal-style. I can’t take the thought of her being scared or hurt. “The babies are fine, angel,” I whisper.
She smiles weakly at me. I know she’s shaken up and the adrenaline is wearing off. She beat the shit out of the woman. I saw the hair lying on the floor.
Chuckling, I look down at Alisha as we walk to my truck.
“What’s so funny?” She narrows her eyes at me.
“Angel, you’re a mini badass. Pretty sure that woman is bald.” I laugh loudly.
She giggles. “Well, she pissed me off!” She wipes under her eyes and smiles at me.
“There’s that smile.”
She lays her head on my chest and inhales deeply.
Vinny opens the truck door so I can set her inside. She kisses me on the lips and buckles herself in. I can tell she feels a lot better already.
Shutting her door, I turn to Vinny. “We got to make sure these fuckers stay away. Meet me at eight at the club.”
He nods, and I walk around the front of the truck.
Nobody messes with my woman and gets away with it.
Butcher, Trey, Vinny, Torch, Locke, and I pull up to a huge-ass house in the middle of nowhere.
We all walk up to the front door. We ring the doorbell like we visit every day. The woman’s husband opens the door and sees us all standing there. He tries to shut the door, but I kick it open. It bounces off his head, and I hear that bitch scream. He scoots backwards with his feet, and I stroll over to him.
I pick him up by the throat. “We need to chat.” I drag him by his throat, and he scratches at my hands. I look down at him, wondering if he’s for real. Is he a chick?
After spotting the couch, I throw him toward it. He lands on his back, half on the couch and half off.
“What do you want?” he stutters and pushes himself up until he’s sitting on the couch.
His woman, the bitch, runs over and hugs up to him, wanting his protection. Does she fucking think he is going to do anything?
“That bitch messed with my wife for the last fucking time.” I grab my pistol out of my holster on the small of my back. I point the gun at him. “You do something about that shit or I will unleash hell on you.”
The woman whimpers, but I can tell that it’s fake.
The man nods. “She won’t do it again.” He hits her knee. “Will you, honey?”
She shakes her head and sniffs.
“See? She won’t do it again.” He smiles like it’s the fucking end of it.
I laugh out loud, and his smile drops.
“You think it’s that easy?” After grabbing the piece of paper with their bank info on it, I throw it on the coffee table.
He looks at it and then at me, pale as a ghost. “You drained my bank accounts.”
I grin evilly. “I sure fucking did.”
It’s like the fucking exorcist came over the bitch. Her head whips around so far and so quick that I wouldn’t be surprised if she had whiplash.
“You what?” she screams and stands up, her hat falling off.
I suck my lips into my mouth to keep from laughing. Alisha pulled all the hair out of the top of her head.
“We did!” I taunt.
She glares at me before a slow smile covers her face. Well, what do you know! Her face can show something else but a glare.
“Do you want your money back?”
She nods and moves closer, but I look at the husband.
“Yeah.”
“I will return it, but you have to make sure I don’t see your fucking face again, and if I do, I will take everything and give it away. I know you have more money. I will take that shit too. I will take everything and you will never get it back again.”
He nods, and she follows him.
“But I am leaving her,” he says. “I am done with her shit.”
I laugh and back away.
“You’re leaving me?” She starts sobbing.
I turn around. I
won’t be seeing these people again. They love their money too much to dare to do anything else.
“Let’s get home to our women!” Torch yells.
I agree. I want to go home and hold my woman and our babies.
Walking down their steps, Butch takes his knife out . He drags it down the side of their Mercedes, leaving a scratch from the top of it to the end. I eye Butcher, and he just grins. Crazy fucker.
I awaken when I feel Jordan wrap his arms around me. He left around two hours ago, and I’m glad he’s home. I drag my hand down his arm and twine our fingers together.
“Hey,” I whisper.
He kisses my shoulder and then the side of my neck. “Hi, angel.” He settles onto the bed, holding me to him. My back to his front, his hand resting on my stomach, holding our babies.
One day, we will be able to hold them in our arms.
“Love you.”
“Love you too, angel.”
After opening the front door, I let in Alisha’s mom, and I have to do a double take. She looks really good and even more like Alisha than last time. Anyone would know they are mother and daughter.
Alisha’s mom finished rehab with flying colors, and she has a smile on her face. Once I was told how much progress Alisha’s mom had made, I knew I needed to bring her straight to my woman.
“Where is my baby?” her mom asks and looks frantically around the room like Alisha is hiding behind something.
“She’s upstairs, getting dressed. She doesn’t know you’re here.”
Her eyes widen, and her hand is shaking.
“Angel, come here!” I yell.
I hear our bedroom door open. I see Alisha’s mom flinch with every single noise. Alisha comes down the steps and into the kitchen. She turns the corner and her eyes are lit with joy as she looks at me. Then she looks at her mother and stops dead in her tracks. She turns around, holding her face. I see her shoulders moving as she cries.
Fuck, my heart hurts.
Alisha’s mom walks over to her daughter and takes her into her arms.
“Mom!” Alisha wails, crying into her mom’s shoulder.
Fuck me, man. I turn around, not able to fucking take her so upset.
She looks like she used to, when things were good. My heart fell to my feet at the sight of her, and I know that Jordan had a part in making her the way she is.
Seeing her hurts so bad. I never knew until this moment how much I wanted her to be in my life. I want my mother more than anything. I want her to be there when I have my babies.
“I am so sorry, baby.” She soothes me.
“I missed you so much, Mom.” I cry harder and hold her tighter to me. “Oh God, Mom, I love you. I’m so glad you’re back to me.”
“Angel, I know you want your mom, but I need to fucking hold you. I can’t stand you hurting.”
I’m plucked from my mother and into my man’s arms. I face-plant into his chest and breathe in his warm scent, my body easing instantly.
Taking deep breaths, I compose myself. Then I look over at my mother to make sure she is really here and I didn’t just imagine it.
There she is. She’s watching Jordan and me with a loving expression on her face. My mom is here.
“I need to tell you what happened, Alisha.”
I wipe my eyes and watch as she sits on the couch. Jordan leads me over to the couch in front of her. He sits with me on his lap, and I curl into him.
Then she tells me everything.
Techy
Alisha’s mom tells her everything she told me at the club when she first showed up, and it breaks my woman’s heart. It absolutely fucking killed me to see her in so much pain and holding onto her mother that much. I had to hold her and take away that fucking pain, do something.
“I know you didn’t have any say in things, Mom. I forgive you,” my softhearted woman tells her mom.
Her mom sinks into the couch, relieved. Alisha climbs out of my lap and over to her mom to hug her.
Needing something to lighten the mood, I ask her mom, “Do twins run in your family?”
Alisha grins at me, knowing what I’m doing. I wink at her and look at her mother.
She looks at me, to Alisha, and then down to her still flat stomach. She points down and then back at Alisha. “You mean you’re pregnant? With twins?”
Alisha nods, and her mom screams, pulling Alisha back into her arms, hugging her, and shaking her from side to side.
Alisha looks at me over her shoulder and mouths, “I love you.”
God, I love that fucking woman. “I love you too,” I mouth back.
She smiles before closing her eyes and hugging her mother back.
My mother has been here for a few hours now, and I’m enjoying every second of it. She’s telling Jordan all about my childhood. Who knew I was a little hellion?
“One time, this boy was being mean to her and threw a basketball, hitting her in the face.” My mom laughs for a second. “She set her soccer ball down and had it aimed at him. He was on a bicycle, and when he was driving by the creek, she chose that moment to kick the ball. It hit him on the shoulder, knocking him off the bike and into the creek.”
Jordan laughs and teases, “I always knew she had a mean streak.” He gives me a knowing look, and I know he’s thinking about the almost-bald woman.
“I’m an angel,” I say in a singsong voice.
Jordan’s face splits into a grin. “That you are, angel.” He kisses me, and I settle on his chest.
My mom watches us both with a happy grin. “I’m so happy for you, baby.”
“Thanks, Mom.”
“So, I have a woman’s center to go to. I have a room there, and I will help take care of the women.” My mother stands up and bends over Jordan and me. She hugs us both.
Then Vinny knocks on the door. He must be taking my mother to the center.
Jordan and I both asked her to stay with us, but she wants to be on her own, working her own way. She will be only staying at the center until she has enough saved for her own apartment.
I don’t blame her for wanting to be independent again. She was dependent upon my dad and drugs for a very long time. She didn’t have a choice in the matter and horrible things happened to her. Horrible things I witnessed. It’s a good thing she doesn’t remember everything that happened to her. I understand why she wants to be on her own.
“I’ll call you later, Alisha.” She waves and walks out the door, leaving me alone with Jordan.
“Thank you, Jordan, for giving me her,” I whisper and tuck my face against the side of his neck, trying to keep the tears at bay.
“She came to me, angel. I just led her in the right direction.”
I nod and sink into his arms. From crying on and off all day long, I am emotionally drained. I just want to sleep the night away.
“Sleep.”
At his word, I fall asleep in his arms. A perfect ending to an amazing day.
Four weeks later
“Angel, are you ready?” Jordan calls from downstairs.
I finish fixing my hair. “Yeah!” I yell back and bend down to slip my flats on.
Everyone has thrown Jordan and me a party in celebration of our pregnancy. The moment the girls found out? Everyone found out.
I walk down the stairs to where Jordan is waiting on me. He smiles when he sees me coming down. Smiling back, I go straight into his arms. I curl my arms around his waist and lean back to look at his face.
“Angel, did I tell you today how beautiful you are?”
Those words coming from that man mean everything, because he is everything to me. “Thank you, my handsome man.”
Jordan smirks at me cockily before kissing me on the forehead. “Let’s go get this party started.”
I’m nervous about the party. I’ll be seeing a lot of the members plus meeting a lot I haven’t met yet. Lane will be there and I know him well, but I haven’t personally talked to him. He seems nice enough. He’s bringing his daughter. I’ve he
ard how she came into his care. The mother was his girlfriend for a couple of months, and when he saw her shooting up, he left her. He didn’t know she was pregnant with his child until a couple of months ago. I haven’t gotten the full story, and it’s something I’m not supposed to know at all. They found her in a cage in a basement, about to be used for ransom. Ever since, she’s been with Lane, and I have to admit that that makes me happy. That mother is a piece of shit.
Jordan leads me to the truck, and then we are off to the clubhouse. I don’t have to wear a bulletproof vest because I won’t be getting back on the bike until I have had my babies.
Today, the women will be on a mission to ask Alisha what kind of wedding she wants. I want the details because I want to make sure she has the wedding of her dreams. I’m going to surprise the shit out of her with this wedding. I want to just marry her now and be done with it, but she deserves this moment.
Alisha, has been a lot happier since her mom has been back around, and that makes me feel fucking amazing. Every time she fucking smiles, it makes me feel like I am a hundred feet tall.
She has come such a long way from the moment I met her online until now. It’s like night and day. Even while talking to her online via video chat, I could see her sadness, but I didn’t know how bad it was. I kick myself every day because I didn’t catch what was happening until it was almost too late.
Fuck me, seeing her face over the video chat when she walked into that kitchen will haunt me forever. I will never regret ridding her father from this world. I do regret not making him suffer. Someone like that doesn’t deserve to breathe the same air as Alisha. But I couldn’t take a chance of him coming back and hurting what was mine.
Alisha is mine. Body, soul, heart—every single part of her is mine. She will always be mine until we die. She is going to be the mother of my kids, my wife.
