Capturing Shadow [Cowboys and Werewolves 2] (Siren Publishing Ménage Amour) Page 17

by Morgan Fox

She couldn’t stop her heart from running over. Then she started thinking about the lost connection she shared with her sister and realized that most of their dysfunction came about because of her. Silence had tried time and again to get through to her, but Shadow had constantly blocked her and that needed to stop.

“I’m sorry,” Shadow said sincerely. “I hate that I’ve been such a horrible person to you since Mom and Dad died.”

  Silence grinned.

“Why are you smiling like that?” Shadow asked, narrowing her gaze.

“It only took you having sex with two hot guys to get that stick dislodged from your ass.”

  Shadow’s mouth formed a small O.

Silence giggled and Shadow did too. “I guess you’re right,” Shadow finally admitted.

Once their laughter settled, she couldn’t help but reach for Silence and hold her close. She loved her sister more than she ever realized. Being without her these last few years had left a piece of her heart missing. With her mates and sister in her life, she was truly whole again.

A gentle knock startled her, and Shadow quickly wiped away the hot tears that fled from her eyes.

“Am I interrupting?” Gavin asked, his deep voice sending a wild shiver up Shadow’s spine.

“Nope,” Silence said, standing. “I just came to see my sister before you whisked her away on your wild and crazy honeymoon.”

Shadow kissed Silence on the cheek before letting her leave. As Silence stepped around Gavin, she thumped his ear.

“What was that for?” he asked, rubbing his fingers on the lobe.

“It’s what sisters do,” Silence said, winking as she stepped from the porch.

Shadow and Gavin both watched as Silence got into her truck and drove away. Shadow remembered the first night they’d made love and the feeling that ate at her as she’d studied the red glow of his taillights. She bit the inside of her mouth as her gaze darted to stare into his alluring brown eyes, thankful he had been just as stubborn as she had.

Gavin closed the distance between them and pulled Shadow into his arms. “Hello, wife,” he murmured, nuzzling his face in her hair.

Shadow’s gaze narrowed, gently shoving him back to meet his buttery stare. “What? No mate?”

He shook his head. “I’ve decided wife sounds much better.”

She pushed to her toes and kissed him tenderly. “I agree,” she replied, falling back on her heels.

“You never said what we were doing for our honeymoon, so I haven’t packed yet.” She shyly hiked her shoulders. “I was kind of hoping you might want to hang out here for a bit.” She trailed her fingertips up his chest. “Maybe we could play a little catch-up.” Her eyebrows danced up and down.

Gavin’s grin had butterflies swarming in her belly. The fire in his eyes drove a throbbing heat right to her core. Her heart revved. He cupped her face in his hands, his fingers teasing through the strands of her hair. She closed her eyes as he gently kissed her forehead, the tip of her nose, and lips.

“I was hoping you’d say that,” he told her, his warm breath dipping into her ear.

As if of their own accord, her fingers began unbuttoning his shirt. “You were?” He took hold of her hands before she could get to the second button. Her eyes widened as she looked up at him. “What’s wrong?”

The sensual longing in his eyes was still there. But there was something else lingering in his gaze, something that had her belly swirling with anticipation.

“Gavin,” she whispered. His name bounced on every rattled nerve in her body. “Might I suggest that you tell me what’s wrong before you give me a heart attack?”

“Sit down, baby,” he said, guiding her to the wicker loveseat. “I’ve been doing some thinking and I realized that I’ll never be able to let you go to Julian’s world.”

The breath froze in her lungs. “Gavin, please don’t do this.” Pure panic consumed her.

He smiled softly. “Baby, you’ve got to stop freaking out. I’m trying to tell you that with Julian’s help I’ve figured out a way for us to be together more than just what we discussed earlier.”

Shadow’s head was spinning faster than her heart was beating. Confused, she asked, “What?”

Gavin slowly unbuttoned his shirt and tossed it over the back of the loveseat. A shiny gold cuff wrapped around his bicep caught her eye.

  “What is that?”

“It’s a charmed band. It will give me access to Julian’s world whenever I want to be with you.”

Shadow’s brow furrowed. “You mean you can orb?”

  Gavin grinned. “Yes.”

“Holy shit,” she breathed, her gaze shifting from the cuff up to his mouthwatering eyes. “You and Julian did this?”

Gavin brushed his knuckles over the smooth skin of her cheek. “Yes.”

The wild beat in her chest made it hard to breath. Her entire body shook with a maddening need. She cradled Gavin’s hand in hers. “So what does this mean?”

“It means we can be together…the three of us.” Julian’s voice sent her body on alert. Being near both her lovers, her husbands, always seemed to do that to her.

Julian climbed the steps onto the porch and moved to sit on her other side. Her gaze followed him until his arm slipped around her. She returned to look at Gavin.

Fighting the overwhelming joy that flooded her system, she arched a curious brow. “I thought you didn’t care much for Julian.”

Gavin shrugged. “The fae prince grew on me. Besides, he sort of saved my life.” Gavin smirked, sharing a knowing glance with Julian.

“Okay,” she said, stressing the word so it came out exaggerated. Shadow folded her arms across her chest, feeling like the only one who didn’t quite understand what was going on.

Julian held her hand, bringing her fingers to his lips, kissing them gently. “Would you like it if we made love to you together again?”

Shadow forgot to breathe. That was not exactly where she thought the conversation was headed. She couldn’t speak. The dryness in her throat wouldn’t let her.

“I’m game,” Gavin said huskily, shifting to take her other hand in his. She gasped as Gavin’s hand moved from hers and onto her thigh, slowly creeping upward. “Let’s change things up a bit this time.”

  Oh. My. God!

“Are you serious?” Her gaze darted from one to the other. “You both want this?” She licked her lips. “No private time. No one-on-one?”

“I never said that,” Gavin said immediately, a dark brow raised. “I merely think…I want…ah, fuck…having all three of us together was fucking hot. I can’t deny that watching you make love with Julian turned me on. All the dirty things I want to do to you, watch you do to him…I can’t stop thinking about it.”

Again Shadow couldn’t breathe, couldn’t speak.

“I have that effect on people,” Julian said with a hearty chuckle.

Gavin smirked. “I can still change my mind,” he warned.

Shadow rose to her feet and faced them. Her hands were outstretched in front of her, with her palms up. “No. I don’t think so,” she said, shaking her head. “You both just gave me the option to have my lovers…my husbands, make love to me at the same time…again. And from my understanding, that means anytime I desire.”

  “Or we desire,” Julian added.

Gavin’s head whipped in her direction. With a growl he shot to his feet and pulled her against his firm, broad chest. “I can smell your need, wife. You will never be without as long as you are with me.” Her toes curled the moment his fingers clasped hold of her shirt and ripped it up over her head.

“Us,” Julian said, coming up behind her.

He unclasped her bra and slowly trailed his fingers over her shoulders, bringing the straps down her arms. The undergarment dropped to the floor. She bit her bottom lip as Gavin took her mouth and Julian brushed her hair to the side to kiss and nibble at the flesh of her shoulder and neck. Her entire body burned, warming and pulsing wit
h unquenched desires.

She wrapped her hand at the base of Gavin’s neck, keeping his mouth anchored to hers. When she reached up to do the same thing with Julian, his hands wrapped around her, caressing her breasts and teasing her nipples. She moaned as a fevered chill raced to her core. Julian’s hands dipped into the waistband of her jeans, slowly unbuttoning them, making room for his wandering hand. The moment his fingers pressed between the folds of her pussy, grazing over her clit, she gasped. Instinctively, she raised her leg to give him more access to her wet and ready body.

“Here,” Gavin said, “Let me help with that.” He bent down to help her remove her jeans and panties, leaving her naked and needy. “That’s better.” He stood and pulled her up against him, his erection pressing into her belly through his jeans.

An uncontrollable moan fled from her lips as Julian pressed tender kisses along her spine. Everything inside her screamed for more, she needed more. She had the perfect spot in mind to make their marital threesome official.

“Julian, let’s show Gavin paradise. Let’s take him to Eden.”

“I’ve already found paradise,” he whispered.

Gripping her shoulders, Gavin pulled her up to her tiptoes to kiss her. The warmth of his mouth delighted her senses. The blood in her veins heated, sending wild shivers straight to her center. Her belly quivered with excitement and promise. Shadow’s nipples hardened as Gavin’s hands trailed down her body. She didn’t want to wait another moment to be with her lovers.

“Julian,” she said huskily. “I can’t wait much longer. Please take us there now.”

With a wicked grin, Julian nodded.

Standing between her lovers, Gavin held her against his chest, while Julian blanketed her back. Her heart swelled, feeling the union of their love consume her. There was no other place in the world she would rather be than with the men who captured her heart and soul.

She reached up, placing one arm around Gavin’s neck and the other around Julian’s, holding them close. “I love you,” she told them. “Forever.”

“We know,” they said in unison, leaning in to hold her tightly.

As she closed her eyes, absorbing the heat from her lovers, she felt the weightlessness of magic carry her into Julian’s world. Her world. Their world. She knew that nothing would ever be able to destroy the bond that was forged between them. Love, unlike anything she’d ever known existed devoured her, consuming her straight into the center of her being.

She couldn’t help but smile, feeling the strong hands of both Gavin and Julian possessing her, loving the tenderness of their lips upon her skin, and sensing the connection that was purely theirs. For the first time in her life, she was thankful that she’d stopped running, that her heart had been captured, and that she’d finally surrendered to a life worth living.
