“Calm down and eat your brownies,” Tamas said chidingly.
She shot him an icy glare. “You keep calling me your love mate,” she said at length, calming down a little. “What does that mean exactly?”
“A love mate is a Raadian’s one true equal. They are completely compatible, emotionally, intellectually and sexually,” he gave her a half wink when he said sexually. She huffed and folded her arms.
“You’re wasting your time,” she said stiffly. “I’m not interested. You may as well take me home.”
“I understand your reticence to get involved with me,” Tamas said. “You haven’t had much luck in that department judging by the psi-scan, and that useless parasite Jayden has done nothing but chip away at your confidence and self-esteem.
From what I can gather, most Earthlings on your continent suffer a similar affliction, but do not worry my precious one, I will heal all that emotional hurt. Once you’ve had sex with me, you will be the happiest woman alive.”
Joanne stared at him and had to seriously fight the urge to throw the platter of brownies straight at his swollen head. “Let’s get one thing straight, your highness,” she said in a caustic tone. “I am never, ever going to sleep with you. Understand?”
“It can be hard to imagine someone like me to be interested in a relatively primitive life form such as you are,” Tamas said blithely, “but you have no need to be worried. I love you for you are and I am willing to embrace your imperfections.”
“I don’t believe this,” Joanne said, nearing exasperation.
“I know, it’s like a dream come true for you, I’m sure.”
Joanne was trying to figure out some kind of reply to Tamas’ monumental arrogance, when Pero flittered over to them and went to Tamas. “We need to get you ready for the festivities,” he said brusquely. “You’ll have to start choosing an outfit now so you won’t be late.”
“Oh yes, I almost forgot the festivities,” Tamas said excitedly, jumping to his feet.
“What are the festivities?” Joanne asked, not sure if she really wanted to know the answer.
“The festivities are the festivities,” Tamas said with a shrug. “We just have them every so often.”
“Every so often like almost every day,” Pero said snidely. “There’s nothing else to do around here.”
“Shut up, Pero,” Tamas said, flexing his arm muscles again. Joanne pointedly ignored him.
“I think Joanne should go to her quarters and rest up,” the sylph said. “After all, she will be the main attraction tonight.”
“Excellent idea!” exclaimed Tamas, clapping his hands together. “You’ll need all your energy for when we get started with the fucking!”
“What did you say?” Joanne roared. Before she’d finished roaring the courtyard had blinked out of existence and she founded herself in another gorgeously furnished room with a huge silk covered bed and an arched window overlooking the park.
Significantly, the room had no visible door or any means of exit. Joanne groaned. She hated this world.
Chapter 4: A Midsummer Night To Remember
She must have fallen asleep at some point because she suddenly woke up lying on the wonderfully comfortable bed in the room she had been transported to.
She looked round her opulent surroundings with a heavy heart. It hadn’t been a crazy dream or a hallucination after all. She really was here, on a bizarre alien structure so far away from home.
This was real, and Tamas was real. Unless of course, she was in a coma or even worse, she had died and had gone to afterlife.
The prospect of spending the rest of eternity with Tamas and the rest of the Raadians didn’t fill her with much joy despite her physical attraction to the arrogant jerk.
It couldn’t work; despite all that baloney he’d given her about being his love mate. He was too selfish and immature for it to work, regardless of how advanced his people were. She’d had more than enough of that kind of guy with Jayden.
It was dark outside the window and silvery moonlight flooded into the room. Curious, she got to her feet and looked outside. Darkness had settled over the bucolic landscape and a sea of spectral blue lights filled the gloom. She heard the low murmur of voices and the deep thrum of strange, seductive music.
It all seemed very magical and mysterious and her curiosity was aroused again. She wanted very much to go down and see what was going on and at that moment the dress appeared out of thin air.
She turned and stared at the foot of her bed where it had materialised on a stand and couldn’t control her amazement. It was a beautiful flowing low cut ball gown made of shimmering red fabric and studded with rubies. She moved cautiously towards it and touched the soft material. It was painfully exquisite and the little princess in her wanted to put it on straight away.
She hesitated though, realising this was clearly what Tamas wanted. He’d obviously chosen it for her and he was trying to control her like a puppet. Despite all his flowery words about her being his love mate, it was obvious she was just a toy to him.
“I’m not going to play your games!” she muttered. “It’s not fair!”
Though she wanted to resist for as long as possible, the clothes she was wearing felt kind of funky and she didn’t really want to keep them on.
The dress beckoned to her and after a few moments of inner-turmoil she finally relented and started to undress.
“I could really do with a shower,” she grumbled to herself when she was stripped naked. “It doesn’t feel right to put that dress on when I’m not clean.”
A pillar of golden light suddenly came down from the ceiling and enveloped her. The light was wonderfully warm and refreshing, just like a shower and she felt a thousand times better as the light caressed her skin. She luxuriated in the pillar for several minutes before it faded away.
Now she felt refreshed and her skin smelt of a pleasant strawberry fragrance that she really liked. Now she felt ready enough to slip into the fantastic looking dress.
On a small table next to the outfit, she found a pair of dark red heels, a pair of skimpy red panties and a red, ruby encrusted domino mask.
Joanne smiled wryly. “You are a kinky little devil, aren’t you Tamas?” she said to herself. Oh what the heck, she thought picking up the mask and running her fingers over its precious jewels, she may as well play along. She had nothing left to lose.
The panties were wonderfully silky against her crotch and when she slipped on the dress braless, she felt a surge of confidence.
As she slipped on the heels, a section of the wall opposite her head slid open and a full-length mirror slid forward allowing her to check out her appearance.
It was then that she discovered the golden light had not only cleaned her body but also by some technological trick done her hair and make-up. She didn’t exactly like how her hair had been tied up into a bun the way it had been, but the make-up was nice and understated.
As soon as she thought she’d finished dressing the room shimmered and a heartbeat later she was standing in the sprawling parkland surrounding the palace.
She looked around in alarm, disorientated by the sudden change in surroundings. Lanterns glowing with blue light huge from the branches of the nearby trees, and the gentle twinkling music filled the scented air.
She heard laughter and turned to see several Raadians furnished in elegant outfits and wearing masks meandering through the park.
They waved at her as they slipped down an opening among the trees.
Joanne watched them go and debated whether to follow. There was no one else around and she had no idea what was going to happen at these festivities.
She suddenly remembered the domino mask in her hand and on impulse she put it on, trying it round her head by its velvet cord. The idea of wearing the mask and hiding her face gave her a sudden erotic thrill that surprised her. A mild wetness gathered in her panties.
“Joanne!” a familiar arrogant voice called out from behind her.
She started guiltily, feeling like she’d been caught doing something bad, and turned round to see Tamas strolling towards her. Her heart skipped a beat as she looked him over.
He looked undeniably hot in the skimpy, torso hugging white tunic he now wore, open at the chest. A leather, diamond studded belt accentuated his wasp waist, and his tight black leather breeches left very little to the imagination.
He walked barefoot, his sleek tanned feet padding with wolfish grace across the grass. In his right hand he carried a stylised half mask that resembled the face of a stag. The mask was also studded with diamonds which sparkled in the lantern light.
“You look beautiful,” he said without preamble, appreciation gleaming in his hazel eyes. Despite herself, she tingled from head to toe with pleasure and breathed in the gorgeous tang of his honey scented skin. He smiled his perfect smile and looked her up and down. “I did well to choose that dress,” he added, “it makes your tits look amazing.”
All the brownie points he earned just a minute ago went up in smoke. He no longer looked that handsome and debonair any more. “For an alien prince you sure act like a dumbass jock from Earth. Is all that crudeness hotwired into your DNA?”
“Don’t be like that,” Tamas chided. “This is supposed to be a wonderful evening. You could really enjoy yourself if you decided to let yourself go.”
“The last thing I want to do is let myself go around you,” she replied frostily. “Something tells me it wouldn’t be a good idea.”
He cocked one slender eyebrow. “Maybe not, but at least you’ll get a galaxy shattering orgasm in the process.”
“You really love yourself, don’t you?” Joanne retorted, losing her temper. This jerk seemed incapable of thinking with his brain.
“Why of course I do,” he replied with a nonchalant shrug. “What’s there not to love?”
“You know humility can go a long way. Not all women like arrogant men.”
“I’m not arrogant I’m confident. There’s a difference.”
“Not where I’m standing,” Joanne said dryly.
“So you’d prefer that I was too shy to even look at you, or fumble over my words like a tongue-tied fool?”
Joanne thought about it. “Well no, but you could tone it down a little. You don’t have to be so brash for me to like you.”
Tamas gave her a pointed look. “If I did then you would like me more?”
“I,” Joanne paused, not sure what she was saying. “I . . . don’t not like you,” she went on carefully, “but, I don’t like you.”
“That makes perfect sense,” Tamas drawled, “typical female logic.”
“Don’t start getting all chauvinistic on me!” Joanne snapped. “You know what I’m trying to say!”
“Let’s drop it,” Tamas replied. “This conversation is hurting my feeble male brain, and I want to enjoy myself tonight.”
Joanne suddenly remembered the festivities and looked around. “So, what happens now?” she asked, starting to grow nervous. “I saw some people heading off into the woods.”
“Good! Then we shall follow them,” declared Tamas. He reached out to take her hand but she pulled away from him.
“I can walk there on my own, thank you,” she said haughtily.
“As you wish,” Tamas said with a shrug. He fixed his stag mask over his face and a mischievous twinkle entered his hazel eyes. “Shall we go?”
Feeling anxious, Joanne nevertheless went with him as he headed down the narrow pathway into the woods. She heard people laughing and glimpsed the golden figures of sylphs as they flittered through the trees.
The sultry music got louder and a tingle went down her spine as she sensed the excitement that hung in the air.
The blue light grew brighter further up the path and they came to a wide clearing where a number of the blue lanterns were arranged in a circle.
A large number of Raadians were gathered in the clearing, looking ethereal and fey-like in their glittering masks and flowing clothing.
Long trestle tables made of silver held food and wine and delicate silver chairs and couches were arranged haphazardly around the clearing where Raadians also reclined.
Some were dancing to the music, writhing seductively in time to the beat, others hugged and kissed each other and quite a few more were going even further than that. Joanne tried not to watch, but couldn’t help herself.
Nor could she help herself from looking at the sylphs that mingled with the crowd. They were full size now, perfectly proportioned and very beautiful men and women made of shining gold. Raadians reached out and caressed these golden beauties and the willingly submitted to their masters’ advances.
Tamas moved closer to her and ran a finger along her naked shoulder. Joanne jumped at his touch and a thrill of pleasure ran through her. She turned and glared at him, trying to stifle the stirring of arousal that was gathering inside her.
“Don’t do that!” she snapped irritably.
“What’s wrong? Aren’t you enjoying the festivities?”
“This is more of an orgy,” Joanne retorted.
“What’s wrong with that?” queried Tamas. “Don’t you have orgies on Earth?”
“Yes,” Joanne said stiffly, “but I don’t go to those kinds of things.”
“Shame, I’m sure your icy disapproval is greatly missed.”
“Don’t get snarky with me!” Joanne snapped, raising her voice. “You wanted me to come to these festivities of yours. I’m more than happy to go back to my room, or better still, back to Earth.”
“No, you don’t get out of it that easily,” Tamas said playfully. “The festivities are not just about sex, they are about relaxing and becoming at one with the Galactic Spirit. Through pleasure, you’ll release all that anger and frustration you’re carrying around.”
“I’m not angry or frustrated!” Joanne declared.
“Yes, you look really laid back and relaxed,” Tamas drawled.
“I only get worked up whenever I’m around you, for some reason,” Joanne replied acidly. “I can’t think why.”
“It’s all that pent up sexual desire,” said Tamas. “You’re insanely in love with me and are desperate to sate your lust. Just say the world and I will gladly take you to paradise.”
“I’ll try and restrain myself for as long as I can,” Joanne said in a deadpan voice.
Tamas laughed. It was a deep earthy sound that Joanne hated because it sounded so sexy to her. Despite her assertions to the contrary she did find him attractive right now. It must be the atmosphere, she concluded. She had to stay strong and not let him get the better of her.
He sauntered over to a nearby couch at the edge of the circle of lanterns and beckoned her to join him. She was tempted to stay where she was, but she didn’t relish standing there on her own.
She was already attracting stares from the other Raadians, and a couple of the male ones were edging closer. A horny Tamas was more than enough for her, she didn’t need anymore hassles. She went over and sat next to him.
“That’s better,” he said. “Feel more comfortable?”
“Yes, thank you,” she said in a neutral tone.
Tamas made an imperious gesture with his hand and a male sylph glided forward bearing a tray of two goblets of wine. Like the other AI he was a pinnacle of physical perfection and naked.
Her gaze couldn’t help but latch onto the sylph’s eye-wateringly large manhood, which was fully erect, and she felt her cheeks blush. She looked down and took the offered goblet and mumbled an awkward thanks to the beautiful creature.
Tamas took his drink and sipped at it, waving the sylph away. Joanne watched as a Raadian woman in a rabbit mask grabbed the sylph’s hand and pulled him toward the trees.
The sylph dropped the tray on the floor and began fondling her buttocks as they disappeared into the shadows together.
“If you want to go and join them, I won’t stop you,” Tamas said in a strange voice.
Joanne looke
d at him sharply, a little disappointed that he was so blasé about her going off with somebody else. She was surprised by her ambiguous reaction.
“That’s very generous of you, my prince,” she drawled, trying not to show her real feelings. “I thought I was your love mate, wouldn’t it drive you crazy if I went off with someone else, especially a sylph?”
“It would drive me insane,” Tamas said candidly, shocking her by his apparent sincerity.
“I desired you the first moment I saw you, and the idea of someone else touching you is unbearable. Why else do you think I laid into Jayden the way I did? But, the whole point of the festivities is that people do whatever they want with whomever they want.
I cannot order anyone against doing anything they want to do. This rule applies to you, as you are my guest here. If you want to go and explore and enjoy yourself, you are free to do so.”
Joanne sipped her sweet tasting wine, her stomach doing somersaults as she processed this little speech. It was the first time that he’d spoken to her without being arrogant or lewd, and his voice and body language screamed how much he liked her and how much he’d be hurt if she did go off with someone else.
She couldn’t deny she was touched by that, but did that mean she was his love mate like he kept telling her tat she was?
“You needn’t worry,” she said airily. “I’m not interested in anyone here. I have no intention of doing anything I might regret later on.”
“That’s a great shame, why don’t you have some more wine and we can work on trying to change that? Regrets aren’t all that bad, you know,” Tamas said, giving her a sly wink.
She couldn’t help but smile at his irrepressible spirit. He certainly was a persistent devil. She’d give him that, and subconsciously swallowed some more of her wine before another sylph padded over with a jug and refilled her goblet.
A flush of pleasure went through her and she started to feel relaxed. She sat back on the couch and closed her eyes, enjoying the sensual pulse of the music. It seemed to fill her with healing energy and her foot began tapping in time to the beat.
