Shawn wilted a bit, because in his heart, he knew part of it was true, at least the first part, but definitely not the latter part; he would have given her more than a second look. One thing was certain beyond a doubt, he loved her with a madness that gripped him in a vice. "Okay, maybe I would have stepped aside, okay? Maybe so. But I would have wanted you with a longing, that I wouldn't have been able to ignore. And - chances are - that I would have been forced to act on it and betray my best friend. I'min love - with you lady. Not because of Jesse, not because of my mother. I knew it - the moment I saw you. You know, everyone in town had been telling me about you, long before we met. So I must admit, I was - anticipating finally meeting you. That day, long ago, when I stepped into that post office and actually saw - the living - breathing - Sylvia Payne - I thought - ho-ly cow, would you look at this. It was over for me - right then - right there. How can you not feel what being close to you does to me? And I'm not talking about a freakin' hard on either!"

Sylvia sniffed, wiping gently at her nose, staring down at her husband. He reached up and stroked her wet cheeks. "I look at you, and I know - were he alive - and here - it would have come down to - the best man wins her. And I can promise you this, I would have given it - everything I've got, to win you."

"At the cost of him, your friend? A man you considered your brother?"

"If it came down to that, I'm afraid so. Sylvia - Jesse - he wasn't like most, he was the type of man, that - if he knew - beyond a shadow of a doubt, that - I loved you - and you - preferred me. He would have stepped back, and given me, us - his blessings. I know that about Jesse. No doubt about it. I love you. You are my wife. You are my dream. I chose you, because I had no choice in the matter. You were meant, for me. I know that, because - I have never loved, the way I love you. Not ever. Not - ever. No man, not even Jesse - would have kept me from you. I mean that. Please believe me, its the honest to God truth."

Sylvia gave a slight smile, "I believe you. You think I'm - a bit crazy?"

  "Yeah... a bit."

  Sylvia gasped, "Shawn!"

He laughed, "But then, so am I, a bit. As long as you know, believe - that what I feel, ain't goin' - no where - you heah me?" He stunned her slipping into a black dialect that was spot on, stunning her. She nodded.

"Good, because it's the truth. No more of this nonsense? You are - everything - I've ever wanted, and more." The brunt of passion used to state it, sent her heart off again. "I hope so Shawn. I sure hope so."

"God is my witness, every word I say is true."

  "Good, um - I don't wish to alarm you, but - I think I need to eat, I'm getting - really - dizzy. I'm feeling really light-headed."

"Jesus! Sylvia! In the bed, lie down - what am I gonna do with you?! I'll dress and get us breakfast. Don't you move from this bed until I get back and you've eaten." He instructed, laying her in the center of the bed, kissing her forehead, her lips. "I love you." He said again.

  "I love you too."

"I'll make it quick, don't move!"

  "I won't." She smiled.

  Chapter 193

Derrick sat in his office at the school, off the gym room, daydreaming about his wife. He wished he'd taken the opportunity to make love to her again this morning. He had the night before, and it had been wonderful. Doing things to her he'd never dared before. He'd broken down and watched a porn tape. It was either go and purchase one, which he couldn't muster the nerve to do, or watch what he had hidden. The one of his brother, Shawn. He'd snuck and watched it when all had been out of the house. It wasn't the first time; he'd seen it before when Kathy Ann had first given him a copy of it. Now, he watched it again, for a different reason. His face had actually burned watching his older brother, very young at the time, perform cunnilingus on a woman. He watched that part over and over. Feeling that he needed just a bit more, he went to the library and picked up a book on it, enduring the knowing glances of the librarian. He read it, thought about it, visualized it and then, he made up his mind. That very night, last night, he proceeded to shock the hell out of his wife. She'd cried out and climaxed so long and loud it left him amazed! She'd tried to fight him off, but he refused to let her go, and continued because he was stunned at how powerful he felt. How much he was enjoying the act. She'd struggled until it was impossible to hold it back. He knew the kids had to have heard her, but his mind was made, to hell with it, she was his wife, and he would never let their love-life be a problem between them again. No, not that. With that determination in mind, he'd gone at her as if to make up for all the times, all the years that he'd neglected her; without let up, he forged onward. Meribel hadn't wanted to be so vocal in her explosion, but she could do nothing to stop him, for once, he asserted himself, and though he caused her no injury, he was not gentle. Having watched her body quiver and quake out of control, he could now see why his brother's went on about the effectiveness of that technique. If that weren't enough, he'd climbed on top of her, entered her body, realizing that she actually felt tighter, and he knew that it was because she was swollen with her arousal. He'd stretched his limits and was determined to ride her as long as he could before he came, using long and steady strokes, kissing her mouth, sucking her neck and turning her into a new position every time he felt close to climaxing, helped to tamp it down at the same time that it left her breathless. For the first time, he made it to 45 minutes - and if that weren't enough, his wife had come a second time.

Derrick sat, seeing the look on her face after he was done with her. She was shaken. Stunned. Speechless. She looked at him differently now. He felt different. He felt taller. Broader and even, good looking - desirable. Feeling rather smug, sitting where he was, thinking of it, he wanted her again. He reached over and picked up his phone and dialed home.

  "Hello?"

"Come to the school. Bring me lunch."

  "Derrick?"

"Oh course! You have some other man calling you with that request?"

"Ha ha ha! Of course not. What's brought this on?"

"Thinking about you, thinking about last night."

"Derrick! I'm so embarrassed! The kids were all looking at me funny this morning! You put a hickey on my neck Derrick!" Meribel whined. Derrick chuckled. "There's nothing wrong with them knowing, that we still make love. That I love you. That I desire you. That I please you. There is nothing wrong in them knowing that. And I'm telling you now, I'm not going to let it stop me ever again."

"I can't believe you Derrick! This is not like you!"

"All things considered, I think its time that it be like me. You don't like the new me? Isn't this what you wanted?"

"Well - yeah ... it is - but - its just - well - that - papi you've got me sore this morning." She whispered the last part, as if someone would hear her.

"Does that mean I can't have any when you bring me lunch?"

  "What?!"

"You heard me. I'm sitting here fantasizing about taking you on my desk. Laying you back on it, spreading your thighs, and going down there again. I like it. You liked it as well. You loved it. Wear a dress when you come, no panties." He added quickly, turned on by the thought.

  "DERRICK!"

"Will you do it? Wear a dress? No panties? So I can just reach down and touch your naked skin. So that my fingers can go right to that spot, feel if you're moist for me there."

  "DERRICK!!!"

He chuckled deeply, full of lust.

Meribel's heart was banging in her chest so she was out of breath. Despite being sore, she felt herself growing wet at his words. "What in the world has come over you?"

"I have the scent of you, filling my senses and I'm anticipating the taste of you again. I'm in love with you. That's what; and I'm ashamed that I neglected that side of our relationship for so long."

"You never neglected me Derrick. I just-..."

"Look, say no more. No need to explain. Last night, what I did - have you ever, come like that before, with me?"

Meribel was biting into her bottom lip, answer
ing softly, "No ... not ever."

"Did I ever - satisfy you Meri? Ever?"

  "Of course you did."

"Hmph - did he - ever make you feel that way?"

"Derrick! Don't ask me about him, I love you. You're my husband."

"You're damn right I am. I'm taking my lunch at 12:30 - be here, with a dress on. I don't care about the panties, they're easy enough to get out of the way."

Meribel simply replied, softly, "Okay - Coach." She hung up.

Derrick finally felt the confidence and pride in achieving what he had always projected in his professional life as a coach. With Meribel calling him by his professional title for the first time ever, it was a validation that he had now achieved the same status as her husband, her lover. Never before had he felt as at home, and in the bedroom, as he did on the field; a leader, in charge, and an initiator of the game. With a smile on his face, he went on with his morning, doing the usual routine before lunch with his wife. End of the school year was filled with work, forms, grades and profiles on each student that needed seeing to. Needing certain slips and papers from the office, he made his way down the long hallway, students, mostly his male students that he coached, calling out to him. He smiled at them, waved, nodding - stopped and spoke to a few. They were all, over the moon, school was a few days from being over. Summertime was upon them. There were two coaches at Monona Grove High - Derrick, for all the boys sports and games; and for the girls, Louise Shorely - a female coach. She met up with him on the way to the main office. She was white, red head, hair cut in a short neat bob, strong, medium height and butch. While she never came out and claimed being so, all suspected that she was gay. They were heading up the stairs from the lower level where the gym rooms were, to the second floor where the office was situated.

"Man-o-man, I'm counting down the days. I can't wait for the summer break to begin! Going away to spend the entire time hiking, yes! Starting in New Mexico and heading up along the continental divide. I'm talking, 3,100 miles of spectacular trails, sights, rugged terrain - oh I'm shivering with just the thought of it. From New Mexico, to Colorado, the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone park and then, Glacier National park, and finally up into Canada. Back packing, sleeping out under the stars. Living off the land, exploring and taking it all in. I've been waiting to do this for ten years! Finally, everything is in place, equipment ready."

"That's a long hike, emergency contact equipment is included I hope?" Derrick commented as they made their way down the hall to the office, side by side. Louise, stepping long to keep up with his purposeful stride.

"Definitely, we have our cell phones, and two-way radios. Nothing is going to spoil this trip for us."

"Long as you've seen to your safety, I hope you come back with plenty of pictures."

"You aught to try it, you'd love it Derrick!"

"A bit of camping and fishing is good enough for me. I take my boys every summer. We spend a week out, fishing, biking and camping. Minnesota is filled with fantastic lakes and parks... amazing bike trails, that's adventure enough."

"Not to interrupt, but uh, look who's coming. She's spotted you." Louise warned him as they were just entering the office, Derrick holding the door open for her as Margaret Wheeler was also making her way to the office, he looked up, saw her coming and for the life of him, couldn't be rude and ignore her. Always a gentlemen, he held the door open so she could pass through as well.

Margaret smiled up at him, "Thank you coach." She simpered, immediately feeling the effects of being near him. Derrick merely nodded politely, following her in, going directly to his mail slot, pulling out any messages, mail, or reports that he needed from other teachers. Louise went on with what she came into the office for, no longer engaging him in conversation. Once Derrick had what he needed, he left the main office, heading back to his own. Once again, he was stopped by students, some young men asking if they should try out for basketball when that season began, or for the football season. As always, he took the time necessary to encourage the newer students not yet on either of his teams. First and foremost making them aware, that their grades needed to be exemplary or else it meant an automatic rejection. After speaking with a few, he checked his watch, it was close to lunch time, 12:15 in fact. He turned from them and started back towards his office, and was held up yet again by a teacher that needed to speak to him concerning one of the juniors on his team. Ever polite, he knew that his wife would wait for him in his office.

Margaret knew that she was crazy for doing this. She knew that maybe she should just give up on him. She would if she could. That was the problem, she couldn't get herself to redirect her energies elsewhere, because she kept seeing him. 'Dammit all to hell, why were all the good men married. Taken?' She hated that fact. In most cases, she could accept it. However, there was something about Derrick McPherson that stirred her as no other man she'd ever known had. She was crazy about everything with him. She loved how tall he was, she loved his build, strong, broad and stocky. He was no little man, no indeed. His face, his eyes and his manner, gentle, kind and quiet; a soft spoken giant. If she could just get him to give into her one time - just once, it might be enough to give him a taste of what he was missing. She'd backed off of him after her humiliating stunt, where he looked at her stunned, as she sat naked and waiting for him. He hadn't been a bit turned on, in fact, he looked as if he had felt sorry for her. She still couldn't believe that he had actually, turned his back and left. No faking, not pretending to go - but gone. After that, she'd avoided him for weeks. Too ashamed to look him in the eyes. To be in the same room with him. However, her shame was short lived. She made up her mind, that she was willing to go as far as it took to get him. Take as long as need be, he was worth it. She thought about his wife. A baby breeder. She'd seen her once, at one of the games. She'd gone to it in hopes of cheering for his team, only to see her there with their kids. She didn't get it. As far as she was concerned, she was ten times better looking than his wife. She supposed she wasn't so bad looking in the face, however - she was chunky. Not much of a figure left from pushing out one baby after another. Compared to her, Margaret considered herself a goddess. For a woman in her thirties, her body still held all the firm curves and pertness of her youth. Her body wasn't sagging yet, she made sure of it with regular time spent at the gym. Unlike his wife. Deciding that she never wanted to see her again, she avoided all of his games from that time forward.

Feeling impulsive, and dreading the end of the school year where she would no longer be able to see him, she decided that today, she would treat him to lunch. Margaret felt she needed to make headway with him, and maybe - she might be able to stir something up with him for over the summer. She was also aware of what a waste of time it would be to try and get him to go out to a bar or restaurant, so, she would bring lunch to him. She was glad he'd been distracted on the way back to his office, it gave her a moment to set up his desk with the salads, grapes, sandwiches and drinks she brought. Not sure how he would have reacted with her bringing it in, she was glad that she would have it set up by the time he made it back. She had everything just about set up, placing a small vase for a single flower in the middle of his desk when she heard his door open. "Just in time - look what I've set up-..." She turned to say, a bright smile on her face that slid off to be replaced by one of shock. His wife!

Meribel had gone by KFC to bring him by a hot meal, enough for the two of them. She prayed that he changed his mind about making love to her at the school in his office, she didn't think she could let him go through with that; to do so was a bit more daring that she could find the courage for. Even so, there was nothing wrong with a little foreplay, even if it didn't go anywhere at that moment. Bracing herself for him, she went straight to the gym room and then to the back where his office was. Balancing her bags, she opened the door to see a white woman, slender build, tall, attractive, laying out food on her husband's desk.

When the woman turned around, they both stood stunned.

The other woman was speechless.

"Hang on, hang on here. Who are you, and what are you doin' in my husband's office? What is that?" Meribel demanded.

Margaret turned to look at the spread she'd just placed, not sure what to say, turning back to Meribel she explained. "Ah, lunch. We - often have lunch together. I guess, he made other plans for today. No big deal, I'll gather this up and be out of your way in no time."

Meribel stood there trying to come to grips with what she was seeing and what she'd heard, "You have lunch with my husband?"

Knowing she needed to be careful, Margaret answered, "Not often, every now and then. He works hard. A man his size needs a nice mid-day meal, wouldn't want him - wasting away now - would we." She stated the rhetorical question, not really expecting an answer, placing her food in the bag she'd brought it in.

"I don't think there is any chance of my husband wasting away - thank you! Whatever he needs, I see to it! So you better take that stupid smirk off your face puta! For I smack it for you! Chu' think I'm stupid?" Meribel's Spanish accent started getting thick as her anger increased. She sat her purse and his lunch down on a side table by the door, as she eyed the other woman, preparing for battle.

"Excuse me, I don't think all of that is necessary. As you can see, I've collected everything up and now if you will excuse me, I'll be leaving." She held up her bag with the lunch packed away and made her way towards the door just as Derrick walked in behind his wife, taken back by Margaret's presence there, he panicked.

"What - what are you doing here?!" He asked, shaken.

Meribel turned before her husband, eyes spitting fire, nostrils flared, hands to her hip. "By the look of it papi - she had chu' lunch - set out and ready! Chu' tryin' to set me up? Tryin' t'tell me som'ting?!"

"Excuse me." Margaret murmured wishing to leave.

"No! you not excuse yet puta! I wanna know what the hell you doin' bringin' my husband lunch?!" She demanded from Margaret and then turned to a wide eyed Derrick. He couldn't believe what was happening. Devastated by what she thought was going on, Meribel cried out, "You didn't have to do this! You could have just told me you wanted someone else you - you-..."
