“Is that so?” Jerry asks, or states, I can’t tell from the anger coming off of him. So I break it down for him, tell him what all has occurred since we walked through the front door. He looks over at his employee who’s still behind the counter and asks her, “That the way you saw it?”
“Yes, sir,” she replies.
“Let’s box up these people’s food, seems they’ve over stayed their welcome,” he says to her, and she rushes out with boxes and puts gloves on her hands and begins to place their food in boxes. Her hands shake the whole time, but I shrug it off, people are always intimidated when my men are around. Once all of their food has been transferred into the boxes, she places them in a carry-out bag and hands it over to Jerry, who then takes it and hands it to the oldest kid. I realize my hand is still holding the lady’s arm hostage, and Carson has let the pressure up from the man’s throat, but he hasn’t let go either. Carson leans in and whispers something in the guy’s ear and he nods his head emphatically agreeing to whatever it is my man is saying to him.
“You can let her go now, dear,” Rayne says to me. I reluctantly let go and keep an eye on her. I turn my back to talk to Rayne as something whacks me on the back of the head and the momentum of it pushes me forward into Rayne and we both land on the ground.
“Don’t you ever place your hands on me again!” the woman hollers. Now, this lady has three men glaring at her and the husband, I notice, has lost all color in his face. “I can’t believe the filth you allow in here, and you’re willing to kick us out! We come here every weekend with our children! How dare you!”
“How dare me?” Jerry asks, as he helps me and his wife up off the floor. Levi makes it over and pulls me into his arms. Then starts inspecting my head for injury. He’s seething mad, and I’m not sure there will be any taming of his beast right now. I look over as Carson lands a punch on the guy and he drops like a pound of weights just hit him. The woman then turns her attention on Carson and starts clawing and hitting him, this being my last straw. I yank myself from Levi’s arms and rush the woman, I tackle her to the ground and start wailing on her.
“Rainey? Earth to Rainey…where’d you go just then?” Carson asks me, waving his hand in my face like you would wave a red flag in front of a bull.
“I was just thinking about the first time I brought you two here.”
“Fun times,” Levi says, and we all crack a smile. Luckily, none of us went to jail that day, the other couple not pressing charges when they learned they would be joining us in a cell. Guess they didn’t want to take a chance of being locked in the same one as us.
Chapter 2
Carson
My wish for you is joy and happiness in all you do…
“More!” she calls out while scratching my chest as she rides me. Levi is behind her pounding into her from the back. My woman is wild when we both take her at the same time, she is our perfect match in every way…especially in the bedroom. “Oh God, Levi, Carson, harder!” I lift my hips and pound into her from my position under her and Levi begins to match me pace for pace, as I exit he enters and vice versa. She’s moaning, screaming and scratching at my skin.
“Jesus! Your ass is so fuckin’ tight, Rai,” Levi says, and the pleasure he’s getting is clear on his face, we must be mirroring each other, because there is no better place on earth than being buried deep in her pussy.
“I’m going to come!” she screams, as her pussy tightens on my dick, my eyes cross from the intensity.
“Fuck, Rainey! Come now!” I holler out as I squeeze my ab muscles, in an attempt to hold off my impending release. As she begins to scream, she lowers herself and I brace for what I know is coming. She bites down on my shoulder, hard, like she always does. I have several scars on my shoulder from her doing this, I plan on having her tattoo one of them so when I look in the mirror every day, I’m reminded of the treasure that has been placed in my life. She detonates at the same time as I do and falls on top of my chest. Levi, not done yet, begins to power into her, I can feel the flutters of her walls as she once again clamps down on me. Levi keeps going, chasing his release, finally finding it, he hollers out her name.
With her name freshly on my lips, I hold her on top of me while Levi goes and gets a washcloth to come and clean our beautiful girl. She reluctantly slides off me and moans about not being able to move. She curls into me and falls asleep, he tosses the rag at me and I clean myself up the best I can all the while he’s laughing at my predicament. He runs out and checks all of the lights and doors and comes back to the room. Crawling into bed, he wraps himself around Rainey and we all fall fast asleep, our talk all but forgotten but still in the back of both of our minds.
Rainey
The guys let me sleep in this morning, I wake to an empty bed and am a little sad at that fact but am grateful at the same time for their thoughtfulness. I sit up and stretch my arms, I look over and notice a steaming mug of coffee and realize that they weren’t actually going to give me much longer before they woke me up. I smile into my mug as I take my first sip, it’s made to perfection just the way I like it.
I can hear my men in the kitchen cooking breakfast and they are talking, it sounds like murmurings and I can’t make out the conversation, instead of eavesdropping I decide to hit the shower. They always clean me up after we make love, but I still feel dirty, in a good way. I grab my mug and go take a quick shower. Once I’m nice and clean and dressed for the day, I walk into the kitchen where a plate is ready and waiting for me. It’s small things they do like this that keeps that permanent place in my heart theirs, it’s reserved and belongs to only them. We sit to eat, together, and the atmosphere isn’t as easy going as it usually is. They both keep looking at each other then back at me. Not being able to take it anymore I shout out, “What?”
“Do you trust us, Rainey?” Carson asks me.
“What kind of question is that?” I ask him frustrated, “I trust you two more than anyone in my life, whatever has given you the impression that I don’t, needs to get out of your two’s heads…now!” I get up and toss the rest of my food into the trash can, they’ve pissed me off now. I stomp into the living room where my shoes are and sit down and put them on. I hear them moving around in the kitchen and can’t help but wonder what brought that question on. Have I not proven to them over and over again how much I actually do trust them?
“Rai,” Levi says taking a seat next to me, “there’s something goin’ on with ya, and you’re not telling us, we can’t help but wonder if it’s because you don’t trust us completely to open up and tell us what’s happenin’ with you.”
“We love you, Rainey,” Carson says coming and sitting on my other side. “We know something is botherin’ you, we can’t help but feel a bit helpless here.”
“It isn’t that I don’t trust you guys, really it isn’t. It’s just something I’m not ready to talk about yet. Just give me some time, if I can’t handle this on my own, I’ll come to you with it, I promise.” They both sigh and get up from the couch. Deciding a change of topic is in order I ask them, “When are we leaving to head to Tic and Kori’s house?”
“Whenever you’re ready,” Carson says. I grab my mug and walk to the kitchen and wash it and put it away in the dishwasher. They already did the breakfast dishes, so I pull out my travel mug and fill it to the brim. I grab my purse and keys and meet them at the front door.
“Ready when you are,” I say, and they stand there looking at me for a minute, I can see the question in their eyes about if I’m really alright, so I give them a smile, and they turn around and walk through the open front door. I follow in suit and stow my purse in Carson’s saddlebags and hop on. I look over and give him a ‘what are you waiting for’ look. He shakes his head, comes over to me and puts my helmet on my head and straps me in. I smile up at him, and he puts his helmet on, all while watching me. He climbs on in front of me, and I scoot forward, and wrap one arm around him, as he backs up out of the driveway and starts the engine. The both
of them starting at the same time is nearly deafening, but I’m used to it, and hold on for the ride, my travel mug securely held in my hand. This isn’t my first rodeo on the back of either one of their bikes with coffee in tow.
We arrive at their brother Tic’s house in about fifteen minutes. He’s got a place not far from the compound so I’m sure the others will soon be showing up to help. They have a lot of dead trees in the back, which caused them concern considering they have two small children who love to run and explore. Today, a group of the guys are getting together to get rid of them and the women will be hanging out, most likely cooking, baking and telling stories about their Ol’ men. When we women get together, we talk about their alpha tendencies and need for control, which usually leads to several bottles of wine consumed by us.
I plan on confiding in Kori today and get her take on how I should handle these messages and emails. She’s been through some shit and has amazing advice. Tic greets us at the door, does his man hug thing, and pulls me in and gives me a kiss on the forehead. “How ya doin’, darlin’?” he asks me.
“I’m good, how’s things going for you?” I ask him.
“Good, all’s good,” he says, winking at me. And I laugh, because he and my guys have the winking down to a fine art.
“Where’s Kori?” I question.
“I’m in here!” I hear her call out. I give my guys a kiss on the chin and follow the sound of her voice as I hear her reprimanding Lil’ bit, better known as my sweet Lila Rose and Kingston’s babbling can’t be missed.
“What’cha doing?” I ask, walking into a madhouse. I begin to laugh as I see their youngest, Kingston, driving his motorcycle up his mother’s leg as she tries to maneuver around him making breakfast.
“Aunt Rainey! Look I got makeup,” she says, holding up a makeup kit full of lip-glosses, eyeshadow and blush. “Momma got it for me yesterday because I was good at the store.” I hear Tic mutter something about his baby girl being too young for that shit and roll my eyes. This man loves his daughter and is very protective of her, it seems makeup falls under the category of what not to get her.
“She’s only allowed to wear it at home,” Kori says, placing her hands on her hips and glaring at Tic.
“She doesn’t need that shit,” he mutters.
“Dear lord, I feel sorry for her boyfriends,” I input into the conversation.
“What boyfriends? Kori! Somethin’ you’d like to tell me?” he grits out through his teeth, and suddenly I feel like an interloper.
“I didn’t mean to imply she has a boyfriend now,” I say, stumbling over my words.
“She was implying to future boys, Tic, chill,” she tells him.
“No boys, not ever,” he states emphatically, “you hear your dad, little girl, no boyfriends, I’m the only boy who matters in your life.” Lila Rose’s eyes are as big as saucers.
“Dadddd…someday I’ll have a boyfriend, I want him to be just like my uncle Carson.”
“Me? Don’t drag me into this, little missy, I am on your dad’s side here, no boys!” he says, swinging her over his shoulder where her head is hanging down and feet straight up in the air. Kori and I look at each other and both sigh, these poor kids. No boys, what wonderland is he living in, because one day, there will be a boy calling on her, and he’ll end up pushing her away, if he keeps up this type of attitude.
I’m in the nursery with Kori as she changes Kingston from his dirty clothing. He has mashed up banana and cereal all over him. It’s cute, but I can’t imagine how many times she has to change his clothing on a daily basis.
“Okay, I know you followed me in here for a reason,” she says, putting him down on the floor with a few toys, “spill.”
“How do you know I wanted to talk to you?”
“Because if you didn’t, you’d be in the living room with the others…stop stalling and spill it already,” she states.
“Fine! You’re right, I did want to talk to you, alone. I just don’t know how to begin.”
“Start with the beginning and go from there,” she says, as like it’s as simple as that.
“This is hard, and usually I’d go to my sisters for advice, but they’ve been through so much lately that I don’t want to fill their thoughts with this. It started, I don’t know, maybe six or seven months ago. I started receiving messages on messenger and then text messages and it branched out to emails from there. They always come anonymously, it started with simply calling me a slut and a whore. Then whoever these messages are from started telling me I should be ashamed of myself and should commit suicide.”
“Wait a minute,” she interrupts me, “I need more from what you just said. You’re telling me that certain individuals are telling you to commit suicide? Why?”
“For being selfish enough to be with two men.”
“Excuse me? Did I seriously hear that right? Someone thinks you should kill yourself because you’ve found not one, but two men to love who love you back?”
I nod my head, “Yep,” I say popping the ‘P’ for emphasis.
“Unbelievable! There’s more though isn’t there?”
“Yes,” I hiss through my teeth.
“Okay, give it to me.”
“It’s now progressed to them saying that if I’m too chicken shit to off myself, they’ll be happy to do it for me. For some reason, they think I’ve stolen my guys from under their feet.”
“They said that, they said that you stole the guys?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Do you have any of these emails? Texts? Anything?”
“I do, I got one just this morning but didn’t delete it yet.”
“Why are you deleting them? They’re evidence, sweetie, you need to keep these or forward them to your men.”
“About that,” I say, looking down at my hands.
“Please, please tell me you’ve told them about this.”
“I don’t want to burden them with this, they have enough going on.”
She sighs then grabs my hand in hers, “You have to tell them. Someone is threatening to kill you. What would you do if they kept something of this magnitude from you?”
“I’d punch them in the balls,” I tell her honestly. She raises her eyebrows at me and I know, without a doubt, that my men will be finding out about this…today.
Carson
I’m so motherfuckin’ tired, I can barely see straight. I’ve put in a full day’s work, chopping down trees, cutting them down to log size and moving them to a new location. Thankfully, nearly every brother showed up, so the job got done, they can let the kids roam out here without fear of a tree falling over onto one of them. I go on up ahead to the house before everyone else to let the ladies know we’re done. When I walk in I’m stumped, there’s two laptops open, Rainey’s phone and the women are all huddled together. “What’s going on in here, are you ladies up to something that could possibly cause trouble?”
They all pop their heads up, and by the looks on their faces I’ve busted them doing something they shouldn’t be doing. “Ugh, hey, babe,” Rainey says, getting up and coming to me. She wraps her arms around me and buries her head in my chest. “When Levi walks through the door, we’ll talk, okay?”
“I’m here, no need to wait, Rai,” he says, causing her to jump. I turn my head to see not only Levi has walked through the door, but all of my brothers have as well.
“What is it we need to talk about?” I ask, lifting her head with my fingers so I can look into her eyes.
“Well, you know that thing you and Levi have been worried about?” I nod my head. “Well, you see…”
“What thing?” Tic questions, I’m not sure who it’s directed at, because he looks pissed at the possibility that we’ve kept something from him.
“It’s something we’ve been trying for months to get her to talk about,” I tell him.
“Well!” he shouts, causing her to shrink just a little bit before she pulls her shoulders back and looks him in the eyes.
<
br /> “It’s personal and something I was willing to deal with on my own, I opened up to Kori and she has convinced me that I need to bring my guys in and let them know what’s going on and problem solve together,” my stubborn, stubborn girl states.
“Let’s all sit down and discuss this without all the tension,” Kori states.
“Fine, sit!” Tic says, and I can tell from the tone of his voice he’s not playing around. I put my hand on the small of her back and escort her to the couch where the other Ol’ ladies are sitting. Levi and I each take a side next to our girl and we each take one of her hands into one of our own. I squeeze the hand in mine to show her my support, she squeezes back letting me know she’s here with me. “Start talkin’,” Tic tells her.
“I want you to understand, with everything my family has brought to the club lately I didn’t want anyone to get involved. I thought, and still think, I can handle this on my own.”
“Enough dancin’ around, tell us what’s goin’ on with you, girlie,” Tic says, and I can tell he’s slowly losing his patience. He hates it when anyone he cares about is in trouble, it makes him grouchy.
“Chill, man,” I tell him. He gives me a look telling me to shut my mouth. I comply not only because he’s my VP, but because he’s my oldest brother. But if he thinks I’ll sit here and let him make my girl uncomfortable that’s a different story. Levi gives me a look letting me know he’s on the same page as I am, we’ll let this go for now, but he better chill the fuck out or I’m taking my girl and leaving.
Rainey
This is the first time Tic has spoken to me this way, and it pisses me off, but I know better than to disrespect him in front of the club, and Ol’ ladies. Which is the only reason I’m not saying anything and letting it slide off my back, so to speak. I clear my throat and continue with what I was saying before the guys felt the need to interrupt me in such a rude fashion.
