The Buckle Bunnies Series Boxed Set (Volume 1) Page 20

by Tyler, Paige

  “Hey, there.”

His voice was a husky whisper in her ear. “Hey, yourself.”

  “That was amazing.”

She smiled. “Yeah, it was, wasn't it?”

The bed dipped on the other side of her as Mack rose up on one elbow. He gazed down at her, his dark eyes like melted chocolate. Yup, sexual satisfaction there, too.

He didn't say anything, but only kissed her long and hard on the mouth, then flopped back on the bed and pulled her into his arms. Giddy with all kinds of emotions, Dallas snuggled against him. Ked spooned up behind her. He really liked it back there, didn't he?

Even now, after they’d both pulled out, her pussy and ass throbbed with phantom sensations, as if they were still inside her. With her eyes closed, she could almost imagine they were.

She couldn’t believe how lucky she was. Lucky these two amazing cowboys had decided to walk into her bar. Lucky they’d taken an immediate, insane interest in her. Lucky she’d been bold enough to suggest a threesome. Lucky they’d agreed. And of course, she was lucky that for all their talk about being steer-roping loners, these two had turned out to be the best roping team she'd ever seen.

They’d sure as hell roped her in.

“You two are incredible together,” she said softly. “If you hadn't sworn it was your first time doing something like this, I would have figured you were old pros. I mean, you seem to instinctively have a feel for what the other guy is going to do. You really should consider working as a full-time team on the rodeo circuit. "

Mack chuckled. “I’m not sure I see myself teaming up with Ked on the circuit roping doggie, but I agree with you about one thing— we're pretty good where you're concerned.”

“Can't argue with that,” Ked pulled her hair back from her neck to press a kiss there. “Though I figure you probably have something to do with our performance. I think you bring out our best.”

  Mack nodded. “I’ll second that.”

She would have smiled, but ended up stifling a yawn instead. She glanced at the window and realized that the glow coming through the curtains was the sun coming up. She couldn’t believe it was already morning. It had been once heck of a fabulous night.

Dallas closed her eyes and relived it, doing her best to commit every moment to memory. She probably wasn’t going to get a chance to do something like this again for a long time—if ever—and she was going to savor it. She told herself not to be greedy—most women never had the opportunity to fulfill a fantasy night like she'd had. If this was a one-time thing, she was going to cherish it, not ruin it by worrying about how much she was going to miss Mack and Ked when they left tomorrow. Or rather today, she supposed.

“I know you have hotel rooms you've already paid for, but you're welcome to stay here for what’s left of the night if you want,” she said, then quickly added, “Unless that would make you uncomfortable.”

She saw Mack exchange looks with Ked. They both chuckled.

Mack shifted so he was facing her. Ked stayed where he was, pressed up against her ass. Figured. He was in his happy place, and didn't seem interested in moving. Not that she minded.

“Sweetheart, we just had a threesome with you,” Mack said. “Ked and I just finished getting about as close as two men can get without kissing. If that didn't make us uncomfortable, sleeping with you in the same bed sure as hell won’t.”

She laughed. “But I know this is only a one-night stand—albeit an incredible one-night stand—and I don’t want you guys thinking I’m getting all clingy or proprietary just because we had sex. If you’re comfortable with it, I'd like you to stay here and sleep with me. But if that's a little much for you, I'm telling you I understand.”

Mack looked over at Ked and shook his head. “Do you have as much problem understanding women as I do?”

Ked wrapped his arm around her middle, pulling her back against him. His semi-erect cock found a nice resting spot right in the crack of her ass. “They can be damn hard to get a bead on.”

Dallas caught her lower lip between her teeth. “Does that mean you'd like to stay?”

Mack leaned in and kissed her—short and sweet, but with some serious heat. “Damn straight we'd like to stay. Wouldn’t dream of walking out after a night like we just had.”

“And,” Ked added. “We don't think you're being clingy or proprietary. You're simply a damn fine women who wants to sleep with the men who just bedded her. Nothing wrong with that.”

She kissed each of them. If it wasn't dawn— and she wasn’t so tired—those kisses might have led somewhere. But she forced herself to behave and settled for leaning over Mack and setting the alarm clock instead.

“What time do the two of you need to be at that promotional event?”

  “One o'clock,” Ked answered.

She started rolling the numbers on the clock. “What time do you want to get up? How long will it take you to get ready?”

“Twelve should be fine,” Mack said. “We're meeting over at the arena.”

“Twelve-fifteen would be better,” Ked corrected. “It's only takes twenty minutes to get there.”

“That works for me,” Mack agreed.

Dallas adjusted the clock, amazed at how fast men could get ready in the morning. They probably wouldn't even have time to shower before they left. But if wanted to show up at a promotional event smelling like her, that was their business. She certainly liked her scent on them.

When she was done, she settled back down between Mack and Ked on the queen-sized bed. Dallas quickly discovered that while sleeping with these two in the figurative sense was amazing, sleeping with them in the literal wasn't damn bad, either.

  Chapter Seven

It took a little longer to get ready the next day than Mack and Ked thought, mostly because neither man refused to let her get out of bed until they’d both thoroughly kissed her good morning. Although Dallas supposed it was technically afternoon. Whichever, they didn’t drop her off at the bar until ten minutes to one, giving them—in their words—plenty of time to get to the arena for their appointment with their sponsor.

She tucked her hair behind her ear, savoring their goodbye kisses on the doorstep of the bar and trying not to give in to the emotion clogging her throat. She didn’t understand it. She’d just met Mack and Ked.

“Have a safe drive back to…” Crap, she didn’t even know where they were from. She swallowed hard. “Wherever you’re headed.”

Mack’s mouth edged up. “We kinda figured we’d come back and see you after the dog and pony.”

“Oh.” Her pulse did a little two-step. “I’d like that.”

Ked flashed her a grin. “Good. We’ll see you later then.”

As much as she wanted to believe Mack and Ked would stop by to see her on their way out of town, she wasn’t going to delude herself into thinking they’d really do it. Saying that was a great way to avoid the dreaded rodeo-riders-have-to-ride-baby speech. She didn’t hold it against them. By occupation, they didn't stay very long in one place, and by personality type, they didn't commit to buckle bunnies they slept with on the circuit. She was okay with that. Really.

Sara was waiting for her at the door, an apologetic look on her face and a bounce in her step. Dallas didn't bother saying anything to Sara about skipping out last night. If Dallas hadn’t tended bar in her stead, she probably wouldn’t have hooked up with Mack and Ked. Besides, Sara was there now to make up for it.

Getting into the mundane tasks that usually filled her days at the bar was difficult after the previous night’s sexcapades, but Dallas determinedly put Mack and Ked out of her head and forced herself to focus on work.

She was restocking beer in the fridges underneath the bar when the door opened. Crap, she must have forgotten to lock it.

  “We’re not open until…”

The rest of what she’d been about to say got stuck in her throat at the sight of the two tall, broad-shouldered men coming her way. Her pulse did that two-step thing again. M
aybe she hadn't been as okay with the thought of her two cowboys disappearing without that awkward goodbye as she’d professed.

Ked grinned as he slid onto a barstool. “Hey there, sugar.”

  “Hey, yourself.”

Sara peeked out from the kitchen, the cordless phone to her ear and a questioning look on her face. She’d been in there ordering supplies the better part of the afternoon. Dallas gave her a nod, letting her know she didn’t need backup. Sara returned her nod, then went back to what she’d been doing.

Dallas took two bottles of beer from the cooler and set them down in front in the men. When they took out money to pay for them, she shook her head.

  “It’s on the house.”

Both men put the money on the bar anyway.

Mack took the seat beside Ked. “If I didn't know better, I'd say you look surprised to see us.”

“To be honest, yeah, I am a little surprised.”

He frowned. “We said we were going to stop by.”

She took the money from the bar and busied herself with the cash register. “Yeah, I know. But you guys have another rodeo to get to, and then another one after that. I figured you’d want to get on the road.”

  The men exchanged looks.

“Is that what you want, Dallas?” Ked asked.

  “Me?” She blinked. “No!”

The word was out of her mouth before she could stop herself. She glanced toward the kitchen, praying Sara’d come out and save her from herself. But the woman was nowhere in sight. Damn.

  “Good,” Mack said.

Dallas swung her gaze back around. “Huh?”

“I said, good.” Mack grinned. “Because we don’t feel like leaving.”

She watched in confusion as they got to their feet and came around the bar to stand on either side of her.

Mack reached out to brush her hair back. “You're right, sweetheart. We do have to be at the next rodeo—a week from now, in Center, Texas. That's about a four-hour drive from here. The weekend after that, it's off to Weatherford, which is about an hour west of here.”

Where was this geography lesson heading?

“What Mack is trying to say is that we spend a good portion of the rodeo season driving around Texas,” Ked said. “Sure, we hit the big events in Santa Fe, Reno, Sturgis, and places like that, but most of our time is spent in Texas. Now, do you understand what we're trying to tell you?”

Dallas didn’t trust herself to speak. She hoped her face didn't betray her emotions because her heart was doing a happy dance in her chest right now. She’d only slept with them once—she didn't want to look desperate. Or worse, lovesick. She was a grown woman for heaven’s sake, not a silly teenager.

“Sweetheart, we're as close to Mesquite as we choose to be,” Mack said. “Mesquite can be on the way to anywhere we go.”

She looked up at them from beneath lowered lashes, hope surging through her. Forget acting like a silly teenager. She was acting like a schoolgirl with her first crush. “Would you want it to be?”

Ked moved closer, effectively sandwiching her between him and Mack much as they had last night.

“Why the hell wouldn't we?” Ked frowned. “You don't really think last night was just a game for us, do you, Dallas?”

She lifted her head to regard both of them. For the life of her, she couldn't understand what she read in their eyes. She looked away.

“I guess I did,” she said softly.

Mack slid his fingers under her chin and gently tilted her face up. She kept her eyes down, embarrassed by the sudden moisture in them. What the hell was wrong with her? She wasn’t going to cry, dammit.

“Dallas, sweetheart, look at me.” Mack said. “Please.”

She reluctantly did, praying her eyes weren’t still wet with tears. If Mack noticed them, he didn’t say anything.

“Dallas, last night was the first time I'd ever done something like that. And it was the last time I'll ever do it.”

Her heart drowned like a rock. She’d thought…

“With anyone, but you,” he added softly.

Tears pooled in her eyes, only this time they were from happiness. Or was it relief? Maybe a little of both.

  “Seriously?” she asked.

“Seriously.” Mack grinned. “We might be two Texas-bred cowboys, but we're smart enough to know a good thing when we see it. Ked and I had a lot of time to talk today, and we came to the same conclusion—something special happened last night. We'd like to see where it might go.”

She looked from one to the other. “What are you saying?”

When they’d talked about Mesquite being on the way to wherever they went, she thought they meant they’d stop in and see her whenever they drove through town. Now, she wasn’t so sure.

It was Ked who answered. Damn, these two were even talking like a team now. She couldn't believe they didn't see that.

“Mack and I both have apartments we never really spend any time in. We live out of hotels and our trucks. If you're interested, we'd like to sort of consider Mesquite as our home base. Stay here in between events so we can spend time with you.”

“It's not like we're asking to move in with you, Dallas,” Mack added quickly. “We don't want to pressure you or move faster than you want. We can stay at a hotel when we’re in town. Take things at your pace.”

Oh, so that’s what they meant. Now that she’d finally wrapped her head around it, she had to admit it sounded dang interesting. She was about to tell Mack they wouldn't need to stay at a hotel—what would be the point?—but Ked interrupted.

“We know how strange this sounds. Spending time with two guys at once—and most of that time would have to be during the middle of the week because of the rodeo schedule.” He gave her a lopsided smile. “Neither of us has any idea how something like this could work long-term, but we're willing to see what happens—if you are?”

Dallas chewed on her lower lip. What they were suggesting was going to be complicated, she knew that in her heart. And like them, she had no idea how a relationship like this could work long-term. But for now, it felt right. She’d been afraid to admit it even to herself, but deep down this was exactly what she'd hoped for.

She gave both men a smile. “I think I'd like that.”

Going up on tiptoe, she kissed first Mack, then Ked. Then Mack, then Ked again. These two were seriously addicting.

“Maybe you three should get a room.”

At the sound of Sara’s voice, Dallas pulled away from Ked, color heating her cheeks. She turned to see the other woman leaning against the bar, a knowing—not to mention very amused—look on her face. Dallas tucked her hair behind her ear and made the introductions.

Ked draped his arm over her shoulder. “That room sounds like a mighty good idea. What d’ya say, sugar?”

Dallas groaned. “I wish I could, but I can't. I’ve got a bar to run.”

“Don’t be silly,” Sara said. “Mondays are usually slow. Take the night off. Caleb and I can handle the place. I owe you for bailing last night anyway.”

Dallas nibbled on her lip again. She really wanted to take Sara up in the offer, but couldn't. “I can't.”

The words sounded weak even to her ears. Sara must have thought so, too. She looked at Mack and Ked.

“Drag Dallas back to her place and show her a good time already, would ya?”

  “Sara!”

Dallas meant to sound reproving, but she couldn’t help laughing as the two men put their arms around her and moved her toward the door.

“If you really don't want them, I know a cowgirl who's more than willing to make good use of them,” Sara called.

Dallas didn’t need to ask whom Sara meant. She laughed again as Mack opened the door and nudged her out. Once in the parking lot, she gave up all trace of resistance.

She ran the last few feet to Mack's truck, then turned to face the men. “So, what's the plan for tonight?”

Mack’s wicked grin set her heart to racing.
r />   “I tend to remember you promising Ked you'd let him play with your ass as long as he wanted to. I think I'm going to put a comfortable chair right beside the bed and watch him do it.”

“After that,” Ked added, “We're going to take you out to the couch and flip you over it just like you were last night. Then I'm going to watch Mack fuck your ass—which he's been wanting to do all day, by the way.”

Dallas was so turned on by the image their words conjured up she was panting. She was going to have to give Sara a raise for covering for her.

“And then…” Mack’s voice was soft as velvet.

A quiver went through her. After all that, she was almost afraid to think what else they might have in mind for her.

She licked her lips. “And then?”

“And then,” Mack continued. “We thought we might pull out some more bandanas from that collection of yours and practice team roping a bit. I'm sure we can come up with all kinds of entertaining ways to tie you up.”

Dallas bit back a moan as a surge of wetness flooded her panties. She was surprised she didn’t melt into a puddle of goo right there. Knees weak, she yanked open the door and climbed into Mack’s pick-up. As she settled into the seat between her two cowboys, a thought struck her.

“Do you think we can stop at the hardware store on the way?” she asked.

Mack gave her a sidelong glance as he started the engine and put the truck into gear. “Sure. But why?”

“So we can get some rope.” She made sure to keep her eyes on the road so they wouldn’t see the combination of excitement and embarrassment on her face. “I mean, if you're going to practice team roping, you really should use real rope.”

From the corner of her eye, she saw Mack exchange looks with Ked. After a moment, they both chuckled.

“I definitely think we can handle that,” Mack said.

Dallas smiled. She was pretty sure she could handle it, too. As long as Mack and Ked were the cowboys doing the roping, they could tie her up every night for the rest of her life and then some.
