For the first time since shedding her mortality, Lilith, Queen of the demons, the first wife of Adam, was crying.
Then the tears turned again to the rage she was more comfortable with. A hatred, hot and true blazed inside of her. This was her fault. All of this was because of her. She couldn’t allow her to get away with ruining everything she had fought so hard to have.
If there was anything Lilith understood, it was anger and revenge.
She wasn’t finished, not by any means. Locked here in her prison, unable to risk being found, she plotted and she planned. She had nothing but time.
She would make sure things happened according to her desires. She had never bowed to any fate, she dictated her future. As she stared into the shadows, a slow burning began. This was only the beginning for her, but a decisive end for her. The mortal who had stolen everything.
She needed to rest, she would need her strength. And she would have her vengeance. A dangerous smile danced across her face. And then she laughed.
And I’d Like to Thank…
First I’d like to give my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to my amazing editor and fabulous friend, Julie. I couldn’t have done any of this without you. Your support and encouragement never wavered…I’m so lucky to know you!
To my wonderful husband, Ian…who never doubted I could do anything I put my mind to and whose love will always be my inspiration.
To my beautiful daughter who is the light at the end of every tunnel.
To Alison, a friend lost and found…who has graced this story with her gorgeous artwork. Your talent humbles me.
And to all of my friends and family who had every confidence in me, even when I didn’t have it myself. You are what keep me going.
The story of Emily and Tavin continues in…

About the Author
When not obsessively writing, Meredith Walters lives with her husband and daughter in a sleepy little town in Virginia. Meredith loves spending time with family and friends and is addicted to supernatural books and movies (and the occasional cooking show).
In order to pay the bills, Meredith spends her days as a counselor for at risk children. She has spent the last ten years working closely with kids and their families and has seen, first hand, the devastation of abuse and trauma. But she has also seen hope and resilience. These kids and their amazing ability to keep on going, in spite of everything, will always be her biggest inspiration.
