She never thought there’d come a day when she’d think that.
Especially because of Toby and Logan.
She knew she technically could afford to keep traveling, but as both Ed Payne and Kel had counseled her, it was far better to put that money aside and pretend it wasn’t there, or dole it out in small, regular payments, and keep it for a rainy day.
A woman walked up and started perusing the bracelets, then caught sight of her collar.
“Wow, that’s beautiful! Is that one of your creations?”
Rebecca smiled and pointed. “They made it for me.”
The woman leaned in closer. “It’s a heart-shaped lock, that’s neat!” She glanced around and lowered her voice. “Sir’s been looking for a day collar for me to wear. Do you take custom orders?”
“Absolutely.” She waved the woman around the corner so she could see the glass case of collars. “And we have some pre-made—”
“Ooh!” she squealed, pointing at one of the Niobium ones. Then she turned and waved at someone. “Sir!”
The man walked over and joined them, and fifteen minutes later they were leaving after having purchased a collar, pre-paid for a custom matching set of bracelets, as well as bought another matching necklace and bracelet.
Over two hundred and fifty dollars, total. The woman, who was a member of a Tampa BDSM group, also took a handful of business cards with her to hand out to her friends. For that, Rebecca threw in a free pair of earrings.
Rebecca turned and smiled at the men. “This means Chewi can eat for another couple of weeks.”
The dog, wearing his chainmaille vest, perked his ears where he was laying curled in the shade, but didn’t get up.
She could almost read his mind.
Assholes. Of course you have to feed me, minuns. I’m the important one.
While the men were working on replenishing stock, Rebecca was minding the sales and using her iPad to work on instructions for the new weave pattern she was going to post on her website. Toby and Logan had been right about that. The pattern sales were great. She was getting several requests a day for more video tutorials and patterns.
She never would have been brave enough to take that step if not for her men.
There were a lot of things she felt she owed them.
Especially because of how patient they’d been with her in the beginning.
After closing up at the end of the day, the men loaded their stuff while she wrangled the star of the operation. Twenty minutes later, they were back home.
“Never thought I’d say this,” she said after emerging from the shower, “but I don’t miss living in the RV. This is finally feeling like home.”
Toby slipped past her, stealing a kiss in the process. “Home is wherever you are, sweetheart.”
“The shower spoiled me,” she said. “I like it when all three of us can take one at the same time.”
“We can, if we hit the showers at an RV park,” Logan playfully said.
“Yeah, and then they throw us out of the park for getting lewd and lascivious. Besides, they aren’t co-ed bathrooms.”
“I didn’t say it was a perfect plan,” Logan teased.
“Oh, the contractor e-mailed me,” Toby said. “He says we’re good to go for Monday.”
“Excellent.” She sat on their bed and towel-dried her hair. “The sooner that’s finished, the happier I’ll be.”
They had already made a lot of changes to her uncle’s house, including updating the electrical system, redoing the bathrooms and kitchen, the flooring, painting, and more. One last thing needed replacing—the roof. They’d waited to do that because they’d added a large lanai across the back of the house and wanted the same roof on it. Right now, it was roughed in with tarpaper covering the plywood on top of it.
Once the roof was done on the lanai, they could screen it in. They were also going to put in a pool and a hot tub.
And then the fun could begin. They looked forward to the day they could start holding their own parties for their friends.
Kinky parties, of course.
By opening the layout of the living and dining rooms, it meant plenty of room.
The men hadn’t decided what to do with their house yet, whether to rent or sell it. Eventually, once the other house was finished, they would all move over there.
And Rebecca had a few kinky ideas of her own about how to christen it once they did.
Later that night, when they were curled up in bed together, her between them with their arms around her, she held their hands against her stomach.
“You know,” she slowly said, “it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if we decided to make this totally permanent, would it?”
Both men raised their heads. “How so, baby?” Logan asked.
“I wouldn’t feel right about a wedding because I don’t want to be forced to pick between you. But Ed said he could set up an LLC or a trust or something for us to put everything into, so we all owned it, and do the power of attorney paperwork and stuff.”
“Aaand?” Toby asked.
“I was thinking, if we really want to talk about having a baby, I’m going to be thirty-eight soon. If we want to try for a baby, it needs to be sooner rather than later.”
Now both men sat up. “Do you mean it?” they asked.
She had to fight the urge to giggle at how cute they were, like two naked human meerkats. “Yeah. I’m done being scared of life. If I can’t trust the two of you after we’ve been together this long, then I don’t deserve you two. I trust you. And I love you. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Both of you.”
Logan kissed her, then Toby followed suit. “Love you, baby,” Logan said.
Toby wore a pleased grin. “Love you so much.”
As they settled in again, Rebecca realized how much lighter her whole life now felt, despite having a house—technically two if they counted the men’s house, too—a business, more friends than ever, and now two guys. She felt lighter and freer, the emotional chains…gone.
This is a life worth living.
