After many weeks, he reaches the cave dwellings of the Trobieh where his final question is answered.
At the same time, the adventures of Dogan MacRae, a human and Kereth, the golden Tryan continue as they accompany Nighthawk to a community of telepaths known as the Silver Eye.

The Moons of Culdan
Why now, after all these years is Ktalen of the ice moon Iccles. being awakened by long ago nightmares? Why does she keep seeing the two silver eyes in the dark?
