Her Cowboy's Caress (Taken by Cowboys: Part 1) A Billionaire Western Romance Page 5

“Was it worth it?” Nancy approached her, jolting her out of the moment.

“Very worth it,” she said when she managed to recover her voice. The view had literally taken her breath away—or what was left of it after the hike. “This is simply stunning.”

“You don’t get these kinds of views in the big city, that’s for sure,” Nancy said.

The hikers milled around for a few minutes longer, admiring the view, taking pictures, and replenishing themselves with water and snacks. Spencer was occupied with telling Nancy’s husband Bill how to distinguish at a distance between antelope and elk, both of which could be found in this region. She wasn’t surprised that no one suspected the real story about how Spencer had started Getaway Guest Ranch—he really did seem right at home in the elements.

The trip down the mountain was, as she expected, much less strenuous than going up. She even managed to keep up her end of the conversation the whole time as Nancy and Bill peppered her with questions about her New York life. Her thoughts, though, were squarely on Spencer.

  Chapter 5

When they got to the bottom of the mountain, the group dispersed. Some people were going to the dining hall, while others were on their way to their next activity—horseback riding, fishing, or outdoor games. All Jess wanted to do was take a cool shower.

Spencer jogged up to her as she started towards her cabin. “Can I walk you to your cabin?”

“You think I need an escort in broad daylight?” she said with a coy smile. “You must have very little faith in me.”

He looked momentarily taken aback until he registered that she was joking and returned her smile. “I have complete faith in you,” he said. “But I’d like to show you something.”

They made their way down the path to the cluster of cabins. Instead of turning left, Spencer kept going straight, off the trail and to the pine forest.

“Where are you taking me?” she asked.

“Patience,” he said playfully. “You’ll see.”

The attraction that had been growing between them all day was swelling to a breaking point. At least, that’s what Jess felt. She was sure her heartbeat must be audible. Did he feel it too?

“I thought you might want a cooldown,” he said as they made their way through a thicket. In front of them was a small, placid pool of crystalline water, ringed by a few flat boulders that looked ideal for suntanning. “No one knows about this pool but me and Nate.”

A drop-dead gorgeous man had taken her to a secret pool at the base of a mountain. “Am I dreaming?” she said out loud. Damn, I have to stop doing that, she thought.

Spencer laughed. “I’m asking myself the same question.”

Without a word, he stripped off his shirt, revealing a muscular, well-built torso with powerful pecs and chiseled abs. Then he undid his belt and took off his pants so that he was wearing only his black boxer briefs. Quickly—but not so quickly that she didn’t catch a glimpse of his cute butt—he strode into the water.

Holy. Shit. For a moment she stood on the bank, immobile.

“What are you waiting for?” he asked from the pool.

Her first impulse was to pull off her sweaty shirt and shorts and join him. Then he hesitated. She was definitely attracted to Spencer—that was for sure—but she had never been comfortable showing her body to anyone. What if he didn’t like all those curves?

“Are you okay, Jess?” he asked.

“Fine,” she said, still wavering. Oh, what the hell. You only live once. Before she could change her mind, she stripped off her clothes and splashed into the water.

His eyes glittered as he stared at her unabashed. “I have to tell you,” he said, “that you are just so incredibly beautiful.”

A wave of excitement thrilled through her. “Do you really mean that?”

Instead of answering, he pulled her to him with his powerful arms. She wrapped her legs around his back. He kissed her hard, his fingers weaving through her damp hair, and she returned the kiss with equal ferocity. As she did, she felt his hardness pulsing through his briefs, and it was not insubstantial. Her breath hitched in her throat as waves of want pulsed through her body. The desire inside her was now not only awake, but screaming at the top of its lungs. Yes, yes, yes.

“When I saw you on the mountain, looking so flushed and sweaty, like you’d just been going at it…I could barely restrain myself,” he breathed into her ear. “God, you can’t believe how much you’ve been turning me on.” He nibbled her neck and she threw her head back with wanton abandon.

She found his lips again. Their tongues intertwined, pulling her in deeper and deeper. She could barely breathe. Her need was too strong. She felt it pooling in her abdomen, making her weak. Had she ever felt so turned on before—to the point where she would do anything, anything at all, to have him?

“Can I…” He breathed huskily as his hands found their way to the clasp of her bra.

He was still trying to be polite. She didn’t want him to. “Take it off me,” she commanded.

He unhooked her bra in one swift motion and tossed it on to the bank. He breathed in sharply as he admired her bare chest. “You have the most beautiful breasts I’ve ever seen,” he said. He put his lips to her right nipple and sucked, his teeth gently squeezing it. Her smile turned to a sharp cry. She could wait no longer—their deep kisses, the friction of his manhood against her throbbing mound, and now his mouth on her nipple was taking her over the edge. “Inside me,” she gasped, breaking the kiss. “I need you inside me.”

His eyes widened. He tightened his grip on her and waded out of the water, his rock-hard cock rubbing against her sweet spot with each step, and laid her down on the flat top of a rock.

“Are you sure this is what you want, Jess?” he asked, his voice shaking.

She looked him straight in the eye. “Take me, Spencer. Please.”

He paused for a minute, staring down at her. For the first time, she was conscious of her body. She began to tense, when he said, “I just wanted to admire you for a moment. Lying there in the sunshine, so wet…you look like Venus rising from the waves.”

He knelt down and spread her legs, pulling her wet panties off of her hips. He set her legs over each of his shoulders, parted her reddened lips and flicked his tongue in between, alternatingly stimulating her g-spot and clit. She cried out with the sudden sensations of raw pleasure.

“You’re so wet,” he panted. “I want to dive into you.”

He straightened up and removed his briefs. His member was thick, smooth, and ready for her. Eagerly she spread her legs to draw him into her. Suddenly he was inside her, his shaft gliding into her passage as easily as if it dripped with honey. She gasped and shut her eyes tight. Finally, her desire was being sated. “Thank god,” she heard herself gasp.

“I’m going to start slow,” he said, his voice quavering. “I want to enjoy every second of being inside you.” He began to thrust with excruciating slowness, his length and girth awakening sensations she had never felt before.

She propped herself up on her elbows, her wet hair falling over her bare shoulders. He was a pure Adonis, with his perfectly tanned, muscled torso. Watching him drive into her was arousing her to the point of torture.

“Faster,” she begged. “Please. Faster. Harder.”

He reached his hand between her legs and began to play with her clit while she moaned ever more urgently, “More, more, more.” He thrust into her with mounting force and speed, ratcheting her pleasure to levels she hadn’t thought her body was capable of. Her moans were now rising to screams. He drove into her with one final, driving thrust, and she broke. His low yells mingled with her screams as the waves of climax hit her, one after the other, shaking her body to the core.

Finally, after more pulsating surges of orgasm than she could count, they were both spent. He eased himself out of her and gently wrapped his arms around her, bringing her down to lie on the sunny patch of grass next to the rock. She lay her head on his
smooth, muscled chest and draped her thigh over his. For several moments neither of them spoke. Prisms of sunlight filtered through the pines. As the warm sunlight fell on her drying body, a sense of complete contentment settled down on her with the reassuring and comforting heat of his body. She had never felt so exquisitely satisfied.

“Can’t we stay here forever?” she murmured, still half-asleep.

He laughed a low laugh. “I wish I could.”

She felt herself drifting off. The next thing she knew, he was gently repeating her name.

She fluttered her eyes awake. “Hm?”

“I’m sorry to do this do you,” he said. “But I have to get going.”

The words tore through her drowsiness like a knife. Of course you do, she thought, disappointment sinking into her heart like a stone falling to the bottom of a creek. It was only to be expected. He was just like all the rest of them—ready to love you and leave you. “Sure,” she said, turning away from him. “Whatever.”

He shifted positions so that he was lying on his side, pulling her towards him so that their bodies were flush. She felt herself go weak. “It’s almost dinnertime,” he said. “As much as I would like to go missing, I can’t do that to Nate and the team.” He stared intently into her eyes. “Maybe this was a bad idea, making love to you so soon. It might have given you the wrong impression of me. But I’m not a one-night-stand kind of guy. At least not anymore. I don’t want you to think I’m just in this for a bit of fun. This thing between us—I feel like I can’t even control it. I want to get to know you however I can, even if that means slowing down.”

She bit her lip. She knew exactly what he meant. There was just something about him that she couldn’t ignore if she tried. She wanted badly to believe his words—but could she? “How do I know that?” she heard herself say, her voice breaking slightly. She was surprised by the emotion she heard. “How do I know that you’re not that kind of guy?”

He reached out and ran his hand over her cheekbone. “I don’t suppose you can know,” he said softly. “But I hope you’ll trust me. I feel a deep pull towards you. It’s not just your beauty—it’s how you speak, the way you move. Everything about you is enchanting.”

His words poured into her ears like an incantation. Try as she might to act like they had no effect on her, she couldn’t resist their power. She leaned in slightly and their lips met, igniting her body and soul like a bonfire bursting into flame, while a vague thought passed through her mind: I only hope I come to won’t regret this.
