He lifted her hips in both hands again and pressed his mouth against her folds, feasting. He licked her from her clit to her passage and pushed that hot tongue inside her. “Oh, God,” she groaned.

She didn’t think she could take much more. He pushed deeper and Austin’s hands slid upward from her waist to cover her breasts. He tweaked her nipples, making her cry out. He kneaded her breasts and squeezed her nipples hard. A cry rose from her as an electric charge surged from her breasts to her passage, and she climaxed. She cried out again as her orgasm rocked her. With the convulsive contractions her hips bucked repeatedly. She dug her heels hard into the mattress and lifted her hips, wanting more, and Rex speared in and out of her passage with his thick finger. Another keening cry escaped her as Austin caressed her breasts and Rex tormented her pulsing flesh, pushing his finger to the hilt and pressing against her inner walls.

Before her body could rest, Rex knelt between her legs. He lowered his body slowly. She felt her dripping flesh stretched as he positioned the head of his cock at the opening of her passage and slowly pushed inside. She gasped as he pushed again inch by inch the full length of his penis and began to move in and out, over and over.

“How does that feel?” Rex asked, his voice revealing his own need.

“It feels good,” she said, panting.

She felt Austin’s hands slide down her sides and cup her backside. His fingers stroked her between her cheeks, feathering over her tight hole. She jerked at the tantalizing sensation, and Rex groaned with his own pleasure. Austin continued to stroke her, tormenting that sensitive flesh, making her tremble, and then he circled and pressed against the puckered little opening as a growl came from deep in Rex’s chest, and she felt the convulsions of his climax deep inside her passage. He groaned with pleasure. Austin caressed her slit over and over, pushed his fingertip inside her tight hole, and she climaxed again, her body convulsing around Rex’s cock and Austin’s finger in rhythm to his stroking of her most sensitive folds. Rex slowly pulled out of her and rose, placing little kisses over her belly, and making her shiver as he moved off the bed. Her body continued to rest on Austin’s body and he continued to stroke her.

She moaned from the pleasure and physical exertion. “That’s amazing.”

“Can you do it one more time for me, babe?” Austin asked softly.

Yes, she could do it for Austin. “Most definitely,” she said.

“Turn over on top of me, babe.”

She moved carefully, trying not to jab Austin with an elbow or knee, and stretched out on top of his solid torso.

“That’s perfect,” he said. “Now lower yourself onto my dick.” He held his huge engorged cock with one hand while he steadied her with his other hand on her hip.

He wore a condom just like Rex did. She grasped his hard erection in her hands and guided him to her slickened opening. Lowering herself slowly, she savored the slow slide of his slick penis inside her until her thighs rested on his.

“Move any way you feel like, babe.”

She heard Rex’s foot pads as he moved back into the bedroom and stopped at the foot of the bed. She knew he watched and it gave her an added thrill.

She moved slowly up and down Austin’s cock. She reached behind her to cup his full, tight balls. He growled deep in his chest. She knew he liked that. He cupped her breasts in his heated hands and teased her nipples. Her swollen labia and vagina ached and burned with need. He removed a hand from one breast and found her clit, tweaking it with his fingers, increasing her need to climax.

Rex moved so close behind her that she could feel the heat of his body. He covered her breast with one warm hand and leaned down, sliding his gentle fingers along the sensitive skin between her cheeks and caressing her tight hole again.

“You like that don’t you?” Rex asked her.

  “Yes.”

“Have you ever had anal sex before?” Rex asked.

“No,” she said, trying to catch her breath.

“I have a feeling you’ll really enjoy it.” Rex slowly and gently pushed his finger inside her puckered ring.

She cried out with the intense pleasure and bucked and Austin climaxed. She felt his cum pumping through his tight cock inside the condom. A growl rose from deep in his chest. He pulled her down and kissed her, his tongue delving deep inside her mouth as his cock pumped over and over. She felt incredibly full. She stroked Austin’s tongue with hers and felt the hot pleasure of Rex’s finger caressing the flesh inside her tight hole. He stroked hard against a sensitive place, circling.

Altogether, Austin and Rex created sensation overload inside and outside of her. An electric surge streamed through her body and she bucked with another climax, her passage milking Austin’s cock as he kissed her deeply. She moaned with ecstasy.

Resting on his muscular body as both he and Rex stroked her sides and back, they finally broke their kiss. She panted, her body slowly relaxing, the hard pulses lessening until she lay limp on Austin’s solid torso.

“That was incredible, babe,” Austin purred against her ear.

She rested her face against his heated neck. He smelled wonderful. “All of this is amazing,” she agreed.

Rex slid his finger from her tight hole and she felt the bed dip as he left the bed. She closed her eyes and savored even more titillating pleasure as Austin pulled slowly from her opening.

“Be back in a sec,” he said as he eased from beneath her and headed to the bathroom with Rex.

When they returned and joined her again on the bed, Rex continued to stroke her back and arms. “Are you okay, hon?”

“Yes, I feel amazing,” she assured him.

“Good because we want to do this again,” he said.

“Anytime,” she answered, and smiled at him.

Austin sat beside her on her other side. You’re sure you’re all right, babe? We didn’t hurt you?”

“No! You didn’t hurt me. I’m perfect and I feel great. That was fantastic.”

He smiled warmly at her. “We’ll do it again soon.”

“I’m looking forward to it.” She smiled at him. She’d never before experienced the pleasure they had both created for her tonight.

“We should head home for some sleep,” Rex said.

  “Ready?” Austin asked her.

“As soon as I’m dressed.” She slid off the bed and hurried into the bathroom to make herself more presentable and dress. When she was ready, they all walked back to Rex’s vehicle, piled in and headed home. She liked calling their place home.

  Chapter Eight

When they arrived at Rex and Austin’s home, Cheryl helped them clean up the picnic basket and put away the unused drinks.

She had questions for the guys. She might as well ask them now. “If you hired Troy and Doug to handle the interior design of your home, how could you be so angry with them tonight?”

Austin shrugged. “I don’t know. We were mad at them for beating us so much of the time those years we were all in the rodeo circuit.”

“It seems like you must still have residual bad feelings toward them from your rodeo days.” Cheryl looked from Austin to Rex, waiting for more of an explanation. She hoped they could figure this out and not have any more fights with their friends.

Rex looked at Austin. “They won so many damn rounds that they became champions while Austin and I didn’t. They got the coveted champion belt buckles we wanted. And they got the girls. Guess you could say we’re still a little jealous even though being older now, we thought we were over it.”

“We wouldn’t consciously hold that against them,” Austin said. “We’re happy they handled the interiors of our home. They did a bang-up job for us just like they’ve done for everyone else in town who hired them. I guess we really were still a little jealous of the old rodeo wins they had.”

Rex looked at Austin, a half-smile on his face. “We didn’t hold that against them on purpose. It must have been simmering all these years, waiting to boil over.”

Cheryl smiled at both of them. “You know, you have no reason at all to be jealous of those guys. As far as I’m concerned, you two are the finest men any girl would want to meet, and that includes me.”

She watched their faces and knew from their expressions that her opinion was important to them. She had no idea how her relationship with them would turn out, but she wanted to spend as much time with them as she could. She’d never known such generous and giving guys before.

Austin gazed at her, a sober look in his eyes. “All of us guys in the protective organization we call the Alpha Protectors have been on edge, our tempers short, over the recent invasion of our town by that gang of hoods.”

Rex rubbed a finger over his lips. “In reality, we all want to help those who come to Heat Springs for help, or whatever reason, but this gang is different. They’re destructive and they want to take control of our area, our town. That has us on edge these days.”

“We’ll probably continue to be jumpy until we rid the area of the bad guys.”

Cheryl returned their serious gazes. “I think you can give your friends in your organization your trust and respect. I imagine they’ll watch your back just like you will theirs.”

  * * * *

At the dance hall and bar the following morning, Mike Adams came by before the lunch hour.

Rex and Austin were going over their accounts when Mike knocked on their office door.

“You guys have a few minutes to talk?” Mike had a serious, concerned look on his face.

“Come on in,” Austin said. “Have a seat. What brings you here this morning?” Mike never came by unless it was serious.

“I heard about what happened out at the lake last night,” Mike said.

Shit. Austin stood from his chair and crossed the office in two long strides to close the door for privacy. When Austin turned back around he saw Rex grimacing. “Sorry about that,” Austin said.

Mike shook his head. “Let’s talk about it. I understand you were at the lake last night with a girl who is working for you. Chase and Drake told me that you’re planning to back her plans to build a home for street kids.”

  “That’s right,” Rex said.

“Her name is Cheryl McQueen,” Austin said. “We’re both pretty serious about her.”

Mike nodded. “I’d like to meet her sometime, but I think we should talk right now.” His voice was soft so it wouldn’t carry outside the office. “I want to remind you both that your shifter tempers will change when you find your mate and fall in love. Even though the Alpha Protectors all want to work together to guard and aid those who come to Heat Springs for help, or whatever, when we fall in love, our attitudes as guys in love are going to be hands off toward the other guys. That goes for all the other shifters whether she needs help or not from something or someone. It’s easy for us in this temperament to fight with each other at the smallest indication of interest in our mate from another shifter in the pack, no matter what the reason. So, is that what happened last night between you and Troy and Doug?”

Austin looked at Rex with a wry grimace. “Yeah, that’s probably what happened last night. We’re pretty crazy about her.”

Rex shrugged. “We should probably apologize to Troy and Doug.”

Mike smiled at them. “I think that would be a good idea.”

Austin had forgotten that sometimes guys in love started fights when they felt the other shifter or shifters had trespassed on their girl—their woman.

Mike slashed a hand through the air in front of his chest. “We need everyone to stay healthy while we’re on guard against that gang of outlaw shifters. They’re still hanging around and could cause more trouble. We didn’t actually chase them off for good the night that Emily married Jase and Cole.”

Austin nodded in agreement. “I had a short fight with them the other night when I was out for a run and discovered Cheryl walking toward the dance hall from her stalled car. They’d surrounded her. I chased them off just in time.”

“Good thing you were there for her.” Mike smiled at Austin. “So, does she know how serious you are about her?”

“No,” Rex said. “We haven’t asked her if she’d even be interested in a relationship with the two of us.”

“We’re working on it, but it may take a little more persuading. We think she likes us, though.”

“Be sure she wants to spend her life with both of you before you two fall in love with her. If she’s your mate, you know that’s forever. You won’t get a second chance. Unfortunately, once we fall in love, we’ll love only that one person for eternity.”

Austin swallowed at the reminder. If they fell in love with her, and she didn’t feel the same about them, they would be alone forever.

  “We’ll be careful,” Rex said.

“Good,” Mike said and stood. “I’ll let you guys get back to your work. Take care, and watch your tempers. One more thing, you might want to talk to Troy and Doug about a place for Cheryl’s dream.”

“Thanks, Mike,” Austin said. He opened the door for Mike and watched as he headed down the hall. Mike didn’t say anything to anyone out front. He was generally a man of few words. He was a good guy and watched out for all of them.

Austin stepped back inside the office and closed the door.

Rex stood behind the desk, his hands on his hips, staring at Austin. “I already feel a strong attraction to Cheryl. Maybe too strong.”

Austin shook his head. “I have stronger feelings for her than I’ve ever felt before. We need to take things slow, like Mike warned.”

“I don’t know if I can,” Rex said.

“I don’t know if I can either,” Austin admitted. “I think about her most of the time.”

“Me, too. I think about making love to her all the time now. Hopefully this will work out.”

“It has to.” Austin wanted Cheryl with him always. He was pretty sure Rex did, too. It wasn’t only a threesome arrangement they were talking about though. They also had to convince her it was a good thing to love two shape-shifters. “We should talk to Troy and Doug about fixing a place for her street kids.”

  Chapter Nine

Rex couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling that plagued him tonight. It seemed to be business as usual with a nearly packed house of diners and dancers. He glanced around the noise-filled room. Austin moved from table to table and group to group as usual, talking with the customers, smiling and keeping conversations light and casual. He was good with the customers, and had always had a way of making them happy. People who had fun came back on a regular basis. Rex kept the orders filled behind the bar. The chef in the kitchen tonight had things well under control. So why did Rex feel on edge?

He noticed the double front door open wide and a group of guys saunter inside. There must be at least six of them if not more. They were all dressed down in work jeans and knit shirts. They weren’t wearing the usual western wear folks wore to the dance hall. They also looked too rough around the edges.

Rex caught Austin’s attention and nodded toward the group. Austin acknowledged his concern and slowly made his way through the crowd to the guys who had taken a big table near the door. That was one of Cheryl’s tables tonight. She was headed that way now. Hell. He hated for her to have to wait on those yahoos.

He watched casually, keeping an eye on them, and noticed a distinct change in Austin’s stance. He no longer looked relaxed like he usually did. Now Rex saw the no-nonsense deadly side of Austin that overshadowed his friendly persona evident during business hours.

Rex tensed, ready for whatever action was needed. Austin turned away from the group and walked to another table where he talked casually with the customers.

Suddenly, the sound of breaking glass jerked Rex’s attention back to Cheryl. Her arms flailed wildly as she was pulled down into the lap of one of the bruisers. “Damn that bastard,” Rex swore and vaulted over the bar. He rushed through the dancers and revelers, racing to get to Cheryl. When people cleared out of h
is way he could see that Austin was already there. He’d pulled Cheryl away from the idiot and pushed her behind him as he threw a punch to the guy’s mid-section.

The other jerks knocked their chairs over in their haste to help their buddy. Rex reached the fray and pulled two of them off of Austin, sending them flying backward. Customers jumped out of the way.

Rex noticed Jase and Cole running to help. They each grabbed one of their opponents and took some heat off of Austin and Rex. The four of them were able to handle the six troublemakers and push them out the front door and down the steps. They shoved them into the parking area.

“Get the hell out,” Austin roared. “Don’t ever let us see you around here again. No one treats our employees that way. Never. Now get, and don’t come back.”

As they all four walked back inside, Rex thanked Jase and Cole for helping out.

“Some of our customers appear to be ready to leave early,” Austin commented.

“That’s not good,” Rex said. “But no way would we have let those brutes manhandle Cheryl.”

“I hope we haven’t scared off too many customers. Most of them haven’t ever seen us lose our tempers before.”

“We better reassure them. What do you think, drinks on the house?” Rex asked.

“That sounds like a good idea.” Austin raised his hands and got the crowd’s attention. “Sorry for the scuffle, folks. We hope you’ll stay. Drinks are on the house!”

Cheers went up all around the room.

Cheryl joined them. “Sorry, I didn’t handle that well.”

“Not your fault at all,” Rex assured her. “That bunch hasn’t been in here before, and we were all surprised by their behavior.”

Austin put one hand on her back. “They should know now that they can’t behave like that in town, and they’re not welcome here again. Anytime you see any of them come in the door, you let us know if we haven’t already noticed.

A couple of their employees were busy cleaning up the mess.

“Jase and Cole, we need to talk with you for a minute,” Austin said. “Could you come to the office with us?”
