  He smiled and nodded. "Of course. But next time, try to follow directions. It might be a little less dangerous."

  "I'll try," I said, not sure I would be able to follow through with that promise.

  Mr. Levine turned to walk away but stopped and looked back, "Oh," he said. "A. Plus."

  This was not the first A+ I'd received, but somehow this one felt like I'd earned it. More special this time. Good as gold.
