  Elena tuned him out as Oliver joined her behind the counter and wrapped his arm around her waist. She rested her head on his shoulder and watched the window, where a mob of kids was kicking the yoga studio’s plastic Rudolph down the street while Mayor Sandoval ran after them, shouting and panting for air. Elena no longer had to pretend she was somewhere else. She was right where she wanted to be.
