He looked at me closely. “Are you sure? Most women dream of their wedding.”
I shook my head. “Not me. I’d rather have something small and intimate. Besides, with you and Bean there, what more could I want?”
Dean chocked back a laugh. “You’re still calling our baby that?”
“Yes, why? What’s wrong with the name?”
“We need to revisit the name thing at a later date because we are not calling our baby Bean.”
He pressed his lips to my forehead for a sweet kiss before he pulled back and adjusted my seat. I watched him slide back into his seat, and I regretfully adjusted my clothes and patted my hair.
“I think it’s a good name,” I sniffed. “What do you know anyways?”
“I know enough to know that Bean can’t be the baby’s real name.” He turned the keys to start the car, and we spent the rest of the ride tossing out different names then shooting them down.
When we finally arrived, my heart began to pick up speed as he opened the car door for me, and we stood in front watching a pair of newlywed’s giggle and bend their heads together.
Before we could give them our information, Dean ran and bought me a wedding dress, something borrowed, and something blue from a shop across the street.
I was touched.
“Just because we aren’t doing this the way most people would doesn’t mean we can’t keep a little of tradition,” he announced.
I slipped into my dress, a beautiful but simple lace dress that ended just at the knee. The sleeves went down to my elbows, and it had a sheer white layer underneath which complimented it beautifully.
It was exactly the kind of dress I would’ve chosen for myself.
He also picked me up a pair of white ballet flats because he didn’t want my legs to hurt. I pinned his grandmother’s old pin on the dress and slipped on the blue ring that he’d owned since college onto my pinkie finger.
Dean was waiting for me when I emerged, dressed in a dark tux, and a pressed white shirt that was on loan.
He smiled as he took my hand in his and smiled.
“Dearly beloved,” the official began.

Dean
There was a small part of me that was watching from above in disbelief.
Like I was having an out of body experience.
I was getting married.
The words swirled around in my head until I could no longer entangle them. I kept sneaking glances at Kaitlyn out of the corner of me eye, but she looked serene.
She had none of the uneasiness that she wrapped around her like a second skin. Instead of the snarky woman who scoffed at emotions, she seemed to welcome it.
As if a great weight had been lifted off her shoulders.
I’d seen it in her eyes when she walked out of the changing room and confidently stood next to me. The wedding dress fit her like a glove, and I smiled as I gave her an appreciated once over.
Yes, this felt right.
It might sound crazy giving all the ups and downs we had, and I was not under the illusion that this would be easy, but I also knew that I wanted Kaitlyn.
All of her.
And if I didn’t at least try then I would regret it for the rest of my life.
“If anyone has any just cause why these two should not be united in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace,” the official lifted his head up and stared at the empty benches as if he was expecting something.
Kaitlyn opened her mouth and let out a delicate cough. She shot the official an apologetic smile as he turned his head towards her.
I held my breath and clenched my fists as a tiny voice in the back of my head expressed concern, but then the official took a deep breath and continued.
All the air in my body was released with a relieved whoosh, and my entire body relaxed as my fingers itched to hold hers. I let my hand fall to my side and was thrilled when I felt her brush her fingers up against mine.
Immediately, I laced my fingers with hers but kept my eyes trained ahead.
“I now pronounce you man and wife,” the official declared. “You may kiss the bride.”
He promptly turned his back on us and busied himself with the organ in the back as the familiar ‘wedding march’ began to play. I grinned as I took Kaitlyn’s hands in mine and stared into her eyes.
“Can I kiss you now?” I whispered as I released one hand to run it across her cheek and tilt her neck up.
“You better,” she warned, jokingly. “Or, I will do it myself.”
“Is that a promise?” I smirked.
“Dean, we’re still in a church.” She giggled as she pushed herself forward expectantly.
I wrapped my hand around the back of her head and lowered my lips to hers. It was a soft kiss at first, shy and full of innocent promise. We had never shared a kiss like this.
Kaitlyn seemed almost unsure of how to kiss me now that we were wed.
One thing was for sure though.
I felt something I’d never felt before. Her kisses prior to this were full of unbridled hunger and loneliness. Now, it was an outpouring of emotion.
Kaitlyn wrapped her hands around my neck, lacing her fingers through my hair as she pressed herself closer. I made a noise in the back of my head as my hands fell to her waist and squeezed.
She sighed into the kiss as I nipped on her lower lip playfully. When the need for air became too great, we both pulled back, and I leaned my forehead against hers.
Her breath was coming out in such short gasps that had the blood in my veins pumping with desire.
I couldn’t wait to get her out of here.
She was the first to pull away, beaming at me as she did.
“Let’s get out of here.”
“After you.” I made a sweeping hand gesture. She reached for my hand and pressed herself to my side. I wrapped my arm around her, tucking her into me.
“Thank you,” we both called out over our shoulders as we hurried down the aisle like giddy teenagers.
“You’re welcome!”
“So, apparently there’s a room that’s included,” I announced. Kaitlyn wrapped her arm around my torso and buried her face in my side.
“Really?”
Her voice was slightly muffled, so she pulled back and slightly looked up at me.
“Yeah,” I responded as I tucked a lose strand of hair behind her ear. “We don’t have to if you don’t want to though. I know you’re a bit worried because of what happened last time.”
She bit down on her lip as she tugged on my hand making us pause under the fluorescent lights. Long shadows were cast across the walls opposite us as people edged around us.
“It’s not that,” she admitted. “I want you. Dean, I want you so much it hurts sometimes, and no I don’t mean just like that. It’s frustrating for me.”
I took her hand in mine and brought it up to my lips for a kiss. “I know. You’re not used to wanting someone like this.”
“Exactly.”
Her eyes bore into mine as if she was searching for something. I stood as still as possible knowing that I couldn’t rush her on this. She needed to find her own pace, something she was comfortable with, and I would wait until she was ready.
Her eyes lightened considerably. “Okay.”
A few seconds later, we raced down the hallway trying to find our room with the lights flickering overhead. For some reason that sent us into peals of laughter.
A pitch-black honeymoon isn’t exactly what anyone would want, but I had a feeling we’d manage just fine. I fumbled with the keys as I was finally able to insert them in the lock, and the door swung open.
I stood back and allowed Kaitlyn to enter.
“No way.” Kaitlyn shook her head as she doubled over and began to laugh. I stepped into the room and kicked the door shut with the back of my leg.
“What?” she asked in between snorts of laughter. “That’s so cliché!”
“Things become cliché because the
y’re good,” I pointed out as I slipped off my blazer and draped it across the edge of the chair in the corner of the room.
Kaitlyn plopped onto the heart shaped bed, and it made a squishing noise when she did. She giggled and shook her head as she rested her elbows on either side of her.
“You look amazing by the way,” I commented as I shoved my hands in my pockets.
Kaitlyn leaned back and gave me a seductive smile. “You know what looks even better?”
“What?”
She patted the bed and spread her legs open. “You and me on this bed.”
I kicked my shoes off and slowly walked towards her. I could feel her eyes watching me, but I took my time until I was in between her legs. Her chest rose and fell unevenly.
“Mrs. Bennett, are you blushing?” I murmured as I placed my hand on the small of her back, toying with the zipper.
Kaitlyn cleared her throat. “Alexander Bennett. I’m an independent woman, you know.”
I began to slowly unzip her dress, and she sucked in a breath as I gently pushed her backwards until her back connected with the headboard. I peeled the dress off her, letting my gaze linger appreciatively over the curves of her body.
“Is that so?”
She nodded. “Yes. I’m not going to be one of those women.”
I raised an eyebrow as I pushed down my pants. “No?”
Her tongue darted out to lick her lips. “No, absolutely not.”
She crawled forward in her bra and knickers and began to undo the buttons on my shirt. When the last button popped, she pushed my shirt off and ran her fingers across my skin.
“What kind of woman are you, Kait?”
I let my hot breath dance across her face as her eyes fluttered closed. She brought her mouth to mine, and I hungrily began to kiss her. Her response was instant as her body curved to mine, and we stumbled backwards.
My hands began to run all over body, impatiently kneading and pinching. I unhooked her bra and tossed it all the way across the room where it landed in a heap. I groaned as I took her nipple between my teeth and sucked.
A gasp escaped Kaitlyn’s lips as she arched her back and began to claw at my back.
“You were saying?” I prompted, gruffly.
“Hmm?”
Her eyes flew open, and she stared at me in confusion. “I don’t remember.”
I chuckled as I took her other nipple between my teeth and tugged. “That’s too bad.”
“Oh, yes,” she murmured. “Very bad indeed.”
She wrapped her legs firmly around my waist so that my erection throbbed painfully against the fabric of my boxers. Kaitlyn smiled as she reached between us and removed the obstacle.
I pushed her legs open and positioned myself. As soon as I eased into her, I pressed my forehead to hers, and her brown eyes locked onto my blue ones. I grunted as I thrust myself into her, and she cried out.
“Tell me if I’m hurting you, or the baby,” I insisted as my hand sought out hers. She clasped my fingers tightly and nodded.
“I will,” she breathed as she rotated her hips against mine. “It’s okay.”
I took a deep breath and pushed myself in even further. I placed my arms on either side of her to maintain my balance and waited for her body to adjust to mine.
Once I felt her muscles relax, I pulled back slightly then rammed myself in again.
I could smell her arousal, coupled with how wet she was, and it was all I could do not to bury myself in her and stay that way forever.
Beads of sweat began forming on my forehead, and they began to collect on my nose. Her hips began to gyrate against me, so I lowered my head and fused her mouth with mine as I began to move again.
I felt her body quiver beneath me as she edged closer and closer to her release. She moaned against my mouth as her entire body writhed in pleasure.
She wrenched her lips away from mine and panted as she hoisted herself up. I gave her a curious look as I lowered my mouth to her center and licked her wet juices.
Kaitlyn placed her hands firmly on my chest till I was on my back. She placed her legs on either side of me then positioned herself, so she was on top. Her breasts were prominently displayed, and I buried my mouth in the middle as I ran my tongue across her skin.
She tasted like butter.
She lowered herself onto me slowly then stopped and arched her back slightly, so that half her body was jutting forward. I placed my hands on her hips and squeezed as we both began to move against each other, the sounds of our heavy breathing filling the room.
Kaitlyn moved gradually at first as she figured out the pace she wanted, but soon, her tits were bouncing up and down in impatience. A low growl escaped my lips as I scooched off the mattress and began to bounce my hips up and down for better friction.
The sound of gasps filled my ears as we pushed each other closer and closer to the edge. She lowered herself, so she was draped across my chest, and she braced her arms on either side of the headboard for balance.
I took her breast in my mouth and sucked as my fingers played with the other one. I could feel the build-up within me as she rode me hard and fast, driving me further.
We both cried out in unison as her orgasm prompted mine, and we stayed as we were, breathing heavily. Kaitlyn rolled off me and snuggled into my side, and I wrapped an arm around her as I placed a kiss to the side of her head.
“So, how’s being married to me so far?” she asked as she rubbed her nose against the side of my head.
“I’m not sure. I think we must try that again. At least once.”
“Just once?”
“Definitely more.”

It felt strange to be married.
Was it a state of being now? I wondered about that as Dean spooned me from behind and buried his face in my hair. I raised my hands up causing the sheets to slide down, and I wrapped my arms around his neck from behind.
“I could get used to this,” Dean murmured in between peppering my neck with kisses.
I stretched and smiled. “Yeah?”
“Oh, definitely,” he confirmed as he parted his mouth, letting his hot breath dance against the hairs on the back of my neck. “Last night was amazing.”
“I think so too,” I admitted as I ran my fingers through his hair. “We should get going though.”
I could feel the disappointment radiate from him in waves as he nestled himself further against me, shaking his head adamantly.
“No, we don’t,” he insisted. “We could stay for a little while longer.”
“Dean, we still have lives outside of here, you know,” I reminded him as I felt him run his tongue across my shoulder blades. I sighed as a ripple of pleasure went through me.
He drew his lips back and sank his teeth into my neck. His tongue darted out in the middle, and I shuddered as his fingers splayed themselves across my hips suggestively.
“You’re going to give me a hickey,” I complained, halfheartedly as I struggled to control my breathing.
I didn’t care that Dean affected me this way.
Not anymore.
I was giddy, and that wasn’t something I got to feel often.
“So?” He rubbed his nose against my back as he wrapped his arms around me tightly. I let my fingers graze the smooth hair on his arms as I placed a soft kiss there.
“Well, I, oh—”
I gasped as he began to circle his hips in a wide arc, poking me in the process. His arms kept me in place as one hand began to fondle my breasts.
“Dean,” I complained as my eyes rolled to the back of my head.
“Yes?” he asked, feigning innocence.
“Stop that,” I protested as a whimper escaped my lips. “You’re distracting me.”
“I wasn’t aware that I was,” he murmured. “Do you want me to stop?”
Instantly, his hips stopped moving, and his hands hovered in the air expectantly. He began to pepper my neck with kisses, feather
light and smooth as he flipped me onto my back, so I was staring up at the faded ceiling.
“I thought you were going to stop?” I asked, breathlessly as I worked to hide the tremor in my voice.
“I was, but I can’t help myself,” he replied, matter-of-factly. “You’re just too sexy right now.”
A smile broke out across my features. “Am I now? Hmm.”
“You don’t believe me? I can prove it,” he declared as a wicked smile stretched across his face. “But, it might take me a while.”
I shrieked in surprised delight as he lowered his mouth to my stomach and began to blow. My legs kicked out of their own accord, and my arms began to flail as I dissolved into helpless laughter.
“I didn’t know you were ticklish,” he spoke, wonder creeping into his tone. “I’ll definitely file that away for later.”
I squirmed. “You can’t use that against me in case that’s what you’re wondering.”
“You mean I can’t use tickling as a tool for blackmail purposes? Come on, you’re no fun.”
He narrowed his eyes at me playfully as he lowered his head to mine for a sweet kiss.
“Mmm.” I brought my arms up over my head and arched my back off the mattress. “I could definitely get used to that.”
“If you do that one more time, we’ll never get out of here,” he warned, his eyes darkening as they took in my form hungrily.
I blinked innocently. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He threw his head back and chuckled. “Oh, I see what’s happening here. I’ve married a nympho.”
I shrugged. “Maybe you have.”
“What else don’t I know about you, wife?” he mused as he lightly ran his fingers in a straight line from my neck to my pelvis, stopping just above my center.
“Why don’t you come closer and find out, husband?” I teased, my voice dripping with innuendo.
A strangled laugh died on his lips as he leaned forward and pressed his forehead against mine. “No, you’re right.”
“Are you practicing for the future? Because this is one of those times where I am absolutely wrong,” I offered as I tilted my head up for a kiss. “Seriously, ignore what I said.”
