Hunter looked up.
“I’m going to help you do this,” Esther said. “I know in the past I’ve said that I want nothing to do with this, but I’m ready to help. I’m ready to help you find out the truth about what happened to those murdered girls.”
“Thank you,” Hunter whispered. “In the hotel room, you said we needed to talk. We should—”
“Not yet.” She paused and then smiled. “When this is over, we can talk.”

Thank you for reading Natural Justice. I hope you enjoyed the twists and turns of this plot. I loved writing about a small city. Although Longford is a fictional city, it has many of the real-life dramas that can occur when a few people have too much power. Writing mostly about Chicago over the last few years, I also enjoyed writing about the heatwaves that dance across Southern Illinois. It was a welcome change from the cold of Chicago (although I do love writing about the cold as well!).
Ever since I wrote the first Tex Hunter novel, I’ve been looking forward to writing the next story—Freedom and Justice. Although each Tex Hunter novel is a standalone story, it’s all been building up to this reveal. It’s the story where the saga of Alfred Hunter’s life is resolved and the truth is exposed.
There have been hints dotted throughout the first six books, and in the next one, the truth will finally be revealed. There’s still another plot twist or two, and maybe three, coming.
Freedom and Justice will also see something happen between Tex and Esther, although what that is remains to be seen…
