Wandering Heart Page 18

Their lips met in a wild dance this time, nothing gentle about their movements. His mouth was everywhere, kissing her into a new submission. She let her head fall back against the wall, as he continued this delirious madness. She heard her own moans.

She knew she couldn't spend enough time showing this man how much he meant to her. Not just physically, no, that was only a small part of what she felt. It seemed as though their very souls had mated and become as one. How could one explain such perfection?

His lips trailed down her neck, ever so slowly, as the water trickled against her heated skin. His mouth sought her breast and he sucked gently against her. Over and over his tongue flicked against the hard little nubs as he watched them grow and respond to his teasing.

He smiled to himself; her body spoke the words of love, like a song, he mused.

Without thinking she slid her hand over him, urging him toward her. Suddenly, he could stand it no longer and he entered her. Without resistance, Angela straddled him, her legs wrapping around his backside. It was a wild coming together, but his strength carried them to rapture.

She ached for him, devoured him, suckled him, and loved him. He was her dream lover. Her heart sang as they reached the highest plateaus of love.

For long, languorous moments they enjoyed the fireworks, and then spent, they entwined themselves into each other's arms and let the glory of their lovemaking carry them into heaven.

His kisses slowed, but never quite stopped. She was titillated, primed and ready to submit again and again if he wanted her.

Never had she felt so free to love a man so openly, so frankly, but with the complete knowledge that she was one with this man. Their hearts and minds were joined in a union only God could create.

Instead of drying her, he picked her up in his arms and carried her to the bedroom. He smiled down into her face as he gently laid her on the bed, and stared at her body, as though it were an intricate road map that he needed badly to study. He seemed to memorize every detail of her. He licked the water from the tips of her breast to the most private parts of her.

"You are so much a part of me. I can't tear myself away from you. I'm tired, and yet, still so hungry for you. The wanting doesn't seem to stop. Every day with you is better than the day before. Even before this…before we touched each other, our minds had already mated."

Without warning, she echoed the words that tore at his heart and ate up his control, "You're beautiful, my love."

"And I could have you for breakfast."

  "Promise?"

Without warning, his head bent, and his tongue touched the velvet folds of her being, tenderly stroking her. Wallowing in his find. She groaned, "Oh, Coop."

Her heart fluttered, her mind reeled with the excitement he aroused in her. Her nipples hardened instantly, and her hands reached for him.

Her heart flipped over in her chest, and her hands drove him into her. His lips were gentle, warming and smooth. His moist, hot, tongue sought the delicate center of her with a sizzling heat, sending her into a ball of fire that wanted to devour him whole. He left her vulnerable and wanton. She'd never been this free before, never felt this open to a man before. The exposure of her heart was well protected by this man. She saw it in his eyes, felt it in her heart, knew it in her soul. They were one…and both completely aware of it.

No man had touched her so, known her so well, and pleased her with such unselfish passion.

Her mind suddenly splashed with so many different reasons why she had come to love this man. As a million stars exploded within her, she realized they had come full circle.

The next morning, as Cooper fixed their breakfast, she sat on the front porch swing, rubbing Partner with her bare foot. She thanked God and heaven for sending her such a man.

"Are you hungry?" he asked, with a plate in one hand a fork in the other.

"I'm very full of love this morning," she said with a smile.

He walked over to her, plumped a mouth full of eggs in her mouth and smiled. "And I'm really happy that I've found the home of my dreams, with you and Josh," he said with such a satisfied smile it stole her heart.

How could she have been so blind not to see that this man was the man of her dreams, this man who would save her son, and love him as his own. Cooper Johnson was a man who would take the time to fix a dying relationship between her and her parents and make it come full circle. A man who promised to be true to her for life, to trust her, love her and give to her without regard for himself. And he himself had found a home…with her and Josh, at long last.

She had it all. Her dream lover had come home...and her wandering heart had found true love at long last.
