Chapter 7
Caleb awoke with a start, stunned and aroused because he felt a hand traveling down his flat stomach and then covering his shaft. Seconds later, a warm, wet mouth closed around his shaft’s base. He breathed deeply and let out a groan of pleasure. The licks and flicks were light, gentle and a bit unsure, but Caleb didn’t mind. The fact that Addison was giving his already-anxious member some attention was the best wake-up present he could think of.
He peeked beneath the sheet to peer at her. She held his penis and was stroking him with one trembling hand while her tongue teased his tip. It was incredibly sexy.
Caleb smiled. “Good morning.”
She smiled back at him. “Good morning,” she said and then lowered her head again to bestow a kiss on the tip of his penis. The head strained to meet her mouth, but she didn’t shy away from it. Instead she enveloped the whole thing, and Caleb nearly shattered as he fell backward against the pillows. Blood and heat surged through his entire body.
He loved the way Addison worked magic with her hands and mouth, and it made him horny as hell. It made him want to forget his uncle’s directive on pleasing his woman first and just flip her over and pump away inside her. Instead he had to return the favor, and one hand clasped one of her thighs as he urged her to open her legs. She complied, allowing his fingers to travel lazily up her thigh, and when he reached her mound he slid one finger inside of her. She moaned, but didn’t pull away, so he sank his finger farther. In and out. He stroked her clitoris surely but gently until he could hear her breathing become hard just as his was coming faster and more furious. He wanted her to come with him, but she seemed equally insistent that he arrive first.
Addison’s mouth stretched, and she accepted all of him, sucking forcefully and taking him deeper and deeper. And then as he was doing her, she took him to the hilt and then pulled off of him.
“Addison—” But he never finished his sentence, because her mouth took him back in and sucked harder and harder as her hands softly explored his balls. Caleb didn’t want to climax down her throat, but the little minx brought him to the edge and his orgasm slammed him.
“Shit!” he cursed as he let go and came.
She peeked up from underneath the sheet with a smile as she licked her lips. “Did you enjoy that?” she asked. He could see that she was proud of herself for having pushed him over the brink as he’d done her.
“You know I did,” Caleb replied honestly with a satisfied smile, “but you know that wasn’t fair. I-I was sleeping and wasn’t prepared to put up a fight.”
“Is that right?” she said with a wink. “What are you going to do about it?”
“Come here.” He grasped her face and kissed her hard and deep. He could taste his own essence, but he didn’t care. He crushed her breasts against the solid expanse of his chest and threaded his fingers through her loosened curls while his tongue slipped inside her mouth to plunge in and out just as he intended to do with his body as soon as he recovered from his orgasm. He felt Addison’s breasts swell against him, and he reached for one. His fingers closed around one nipple, and he pinched it between his thumb and forefinger, tracing the smooth brown disc until it turned into a hardened bud.
It was time for him to have a taste of his naughty angel. His mouth moved from her lips so he could take her left nipple into his hot mouth. He swirled his tongue lovingly around it, and Addison’s head flew back.
“Caleb—”
“Yes, baby ...” He moved from the left breast to the right so he could suckle on the other nipple. “Has anyone ever told you you have beautiful breasts?”
Addison shook her head. She was unable to speak, which meant he was doing something right. He licked her nipple while his hands skimmed her belly and then lower. Her breath caught when he stroked her nether lips, but instead of tightening her thighs, she opened them wider.
“That’s right, love, let me in,” he whispered as he slid two fingers inside. He teased the walls of her vagina and her clitoris while his mouth moved from her breasts to return to her lips. He could feel himself coming alive again, and he was ready for another hit. He slid a condom on and then grasped her hips and moved her over his hardening shaft, easing inside her already wet heat so she could ride him.
“Oh.” Addison’s back arched as she began grinding against him.
“That’s it,” Caleb said, lifting his hips to fill her tight walls. “Ride me, baby. Ride me.”
Addison bounced atop his hard penis. She was riding him like she’d rode that mechanical bull, and he loved it! He was enjoying seeing her relish their intimacy and not being afraid of it. She embraced it, rising up to meet his every thrust.
Addison stared at herself in the hotel room mirror after she and Caleb showered together. She’d never showered with a man before, and that was if she could call what they’d just done showering. It had been more like washing each other’s bodies as they made love again. She didn’t look any different, but she felt different. Would anyone see it?
Her father!
Shit! After staying out all night, she would have to go home. She’d turned off her cellphone, and her father must be worried sick. But Addison wasn’t sorry for spending the night with Caleb. It was everything she could have hoped for and more for her first time.
At that moment, Caleb walked into the bathroom. “Ready to go?” he asked.
She nodded.
After she’d grabbed her purse, they headed toward the door. Addison didn’t know what to expect on the morning after as she’d never gone to bed with a man casually before. But she needn’t have worried, because Caleb reached for her hand and they walked together to the elevator. Once inside, he leaned over to brush his lips softly over hers.
Addison sighed. No awkwardness. Thank God.
When they made it to his truck, Addison reluctantly turned on her cellphone, and moments later, she heard the chimes of missed voicemails and texts. She glanced down and saw she’d missed six calls from her father and three from Collette.
Where are you? Collette’s message said. Your father is worried.
Addison rolled her eyes. If her father had the foresight to call Collette, she was really in for it.
“Is everything okay?” Caleb asked when Addison remained quiet during the ride.
“Everything’s fine.” She put her phone on vibrate.
Caleb leaned over and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him. “Don’t lie to me ever,” he said. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
Addison lowered her head. “They’re just some calls from my father and best friend.”
“They’re worried because you didn’t come home last night?”
When she didn’t answer, he continued, “I take it you’ve never done that before?”
Addison nodded.
“I’m sorry, Addy, if I caused problems by keeping you to myself all night, but I just couldn’t help it.” He grinned.
Addison glanced up. “Don’t apologize. I enjoyed our night and morning together. I wouldn’t change a thing. And as for my father, I’m sorry I worried him, but he’s got to understand that I’m a grown woman.”
“Yes, you are,” Caleb said huskily.
The ride back to the Walker mansion didn’t take long. When Caleb pulled up to the driveway, he leaned over and placed a long-dragging kiss across Addison’s lips before jumping out of the pickup to come around and open the passenger door. As he did so, the front door of the Walker home swung open revealing Addison’s father.
Caleb helped Addison out of the pickup and turned to see Benjamin Walker glaring at them. Caleb turned back around to face her and whispered, “Are you going be okay?”
Addison nodded.
“I’ll call you later.” Caleb bent down and brushed his lips across hers, walked to the driver’s side, got in and kicked the pickup into gear.
Addison heard
him drive away as she walked toward her father, who stood with his arms folded. “Good morning,” she said.
“Don’t ‘good morning’ me,” he responded as she walked inside the foyer and he slammed the front door. “Do you realize what time it is?”
“Of course I do.” Addison held up her left wrist. “I have a watch.”
She could see steam escape her father’s ears. “I was worried sick!”
“I know, and I’m sorry.”
“Oh, so you do think I deserve some common courtesy?”
“Yes.” Addison reminded herself to calm down, though she didn’t appreciate the way he was talking down to her as if she were a teenager. “I understand you’re upset, Daddy, and I’m sorry I caused you to worry as I would never want to do that.”
“But yet you did,” he spat, “because of that young man.” He pointed toward the door. “I should have known he was no good. Look at who he’s related to,” he said as he stormed down the hall. “I mean his uncle is a notorious ladies’ man. Has several kids up and down the coast.”
Addison rolled her eyes. “For Christ’s sake, Daddy, Caleb is not his uncle.”
“No?” Her father spun around. “You could have fooled me. Didn’t he keep my very naïve daughter out all night and bring her back the next morning? Sounds exactly like something Duke Hart would do.”
“Listen, I apologize again for worrying you and Collette, but I won’t apologize for making my own choices.”
“Even when those choices can lead you astray? Trust me, that young man is bad news. He’ll break your heart.”
“You don’t know that.”
“Like hell I don’t. Duke Hart has always been a ladies’ man, bedding women in every county. I don’t want to see the same thing happen to you, baby girl. You know nothing about this young man, and from what I can see he’s just using you.”
“You’re wrong, Daddy.”
“I hope so, Addison, because you’re headed for heartbreak.”
The truth was, Addison had been using Caleb. She’d wanted her first time to be with someone she desired and who knew his way around in the bedroom. She’d done exactly that. The one thing she hadn’t counted on was that she’d enjoy it so much that she’d want another taste.
Ten minutes later, when Addison was alone in her room, she called Collette.
“Where the hell have you been?” her friend berated her from the other end of the line.
“Hello to you too,” Addison replied.
“Oh, no you don’t. Don’t you dare try to turn this around on me. You were the one who had your poor father so worried to death that he called me. And you know I’m his least favorite person, so he must have been desperate.”
“I’m sorry, Collette. Truly I am.”
“The least you could have done was warn me so I’m prepared.”
“Again, I’m sorry, and I promise I’ll make it up to you, like maybe take you to that new boutique you’ve been wanting to check out.” As a starving artist, Collette needed help with money, especially since her father had cut her off.
“Well ...” Collette paused. “I suppose you can bribe yourself back into my good graces. So tell me, what or should I say who had you out all night? And please make it good.”
Addison chuckled. Trust Collette to be blunt. “Well ...” Addison paused for effect.
“Just spit it out! I’m dying to know.”
“I am no longer a virgin.”
“Get out!”
“It’s the truth.”
“Who did you do the nasty with? I mean, there isn’t anyone in town you’ve been seeing. Or have you been holding out on me?”
“Of course not.” Addison snickered. “It’s not someone new, but someone old.”
“Who?”
“Remember Vegas?”
“OMG!” Collette shouted. “The guy from the club in Vegas? No, it couldn’t be. If I recall you didn’t even know his name. Didn’t you sneak out of his bed after your unfortunate illness?”
“That’s all true, but I ran into Caleb at a charity event a few days ago, and he mentioned we had some unfinished business. That’s when we finally exchanged names and numbers. And well, last night, we sealed the deal and made love.”
“Wow! Is that fate or what? I mean usually what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but this shit was like fate. For you two to meet up in Dallas of all places? What are the odds?”
“I couldn’t agree with you more,” Addison replied, “and I have to tell you, Collette, it was well worth the wait. Caleb Hart rocked my world.”
“He did, huh?”
“And then some,” Addison added, lying back on the bed. She couldn’t help but replay the moments they’d shared together the night before.
“I’m happy for you,” Collette said. “You’ve finally joined the rest of us, and now look out world, ’cause you’re about to get your freak on!”
“I’m no slut!” Addison responded. “But—”
“You wanna hit that again?” Collette surmised.
“How did you know?”
“When a man hits the spot,” Collette said, “you want him to keep coming back to do it over and over.”
“Which won’t be easy with my father looking over my shoulder every five minutes. The man nearly had a coronary when I didn’t come home last night.”
“Girl, he was blowing up my phone something awful.”
“I’m grown, and he’s just going to have to deal with it. Otherwise, I’m moving out.”
“Well, it would be about time. You’re long overdue, my friend, to strike out on your own.”
Addison sighed. “I know, but I would feel bad leaving him alone in this big house.”
“But it’s not your responsibility, Addy. I mean you’re not his wife, you’re his daughter. And it’s about time he recognized that.”
“I suppose you’re right. In the meantime, what should I do about Caleb?”
Collette chuckled. “Oh, you needn’t worry now that Caleb has had you and broken you in. He won’t want any other man to have you, at least not until you both have had your fill.”
As he got dressed later that evening for his first rodeo event of the night, Caleb’s mind kept wandering back to Addison and their lovemaking. He’d wanted her something fierce after the abrupt end to their night back in Vegas. Seeing her in Dallas had been a welcome shock and once he’d made their date, he’d been eagerly anticipating making love to her. Last night had surpassed his expectations even after he’d found out that she was innocent.
She’d been just as passionate as he’d known she would be. When he’d gone down on her, her responses had been honest and unrehearsed. She’d just opened herself up to the experience and beauty of sex and the excitement it could create. He knew he’d made her come many times because she would not only whimper, but her entire body shook. She was an open book and one he looked forward to reading over and over.
“Hart!” Josh called out, awakening Caleb from his daydream. “How many times are you going to keep tying down that calf?”
Caleb glanced at the calf underneath him and turned to his friend. “As many times as necessary.” The rope had to be stiff enough for him to maintain a loop but flexible enough to bend around the head of a charging calf. He’d chosen a new poly rope made of synthetic fibers because it was more durable and resistant to water and grime than natural ropes that some of the other cowboys used. He was hoping it would give him the edge he needed.
“Naw, man, that ain’t it,” Josh said, coming over to Caleb’s side. “You were staring off into space and looking all dreamy-eyed.”
Caleb laughed. “You’re a load of shit!”
“I speak the truth. I bet you were thinking about that sweet young thing you had the other night. Man was she fine. I would love to—”
The wo
rds didn’t even get out of Josh’s mouth before Caleb had grabbed him by the collar of his plaid shirt. “Don’t you talk about Addison like that, ya hear?”
Josh’s eyes widened. “Yeah, man, I’m sorry.
Okay?” Josh pushed at Caleb until he released him. “Damn! What’s gotten into you? Or should I say what have you gotten into?”
When Caleb lunged for him again, Josh sideswiped him. “Okay, okay, man, I’ll lay off. It’s clear I can’t tease you about this girl.”
“She’s not a girl. She’s a woman.”
“And off-limits?”
“That’s right. She’s mine.”
Josh held up his hands in defense. “Understood. I was just joking anyway. I’ve never seen you this way about a woman before. You usually love ‘em and leave ‘em. What’s so different about this one?”
That was a good question, Caleb thought. For a reason he couldn’t quite pin down, he cared deeply for Addison. And despite opposition from her father, Caleb knew he would be seeing her again real soon.
Chapter 8
The next morning, Caleb decided to stop by his uncle’s mansion. He’d made up his mind over his morning coffee that he would stay on a few days before returning to Tucson for all the wedding festivities. It wasn’t like he had to do much. He was a groomsman and only needed to walk one of his cousins down the aisle. How hard could that be?
So Caleb had more time to stay in Dallas, which meant he’d find a way to spend a few more nights with Addison. Of course, it wouldn’t be easy letting the doe-eyed beauty go at the end of the week, especially after he would have taught her everything she knew in the bedroom. He wasn’t thrilled with the prospect that she would lend her skills to another man, but he also wasn’t the sticking-around kind.
Addison was the type of girl you married and raised kids with. Caleb knew it was wrong that he would take all she had to give and then leave, but better she learn about heartbreak first from him than some other guy. Caleb truly thought she was a spectacular girl and didn’t mind staying a couple of extra days to get to know her.
