“I don’t want you to ever fear me but I want you too bad, not to try.” Bear reached down and grabbed the bottom of her shirt. Pulling it over her head, he caught sight of her bare breasts. He caught his breath at the view. Her breasts were full and round. Raising his hands, he cupped her flesh and rubbed his thumbs against her nipples.

Lacey gasped and the fire inside her grew hotter. She pressed her chest against his hands and he groaned. Her hands went to his chest and she ran her hands against his t shirt.

Frustrated, Bear leaned up and ripped his shirt off. Lacey stared at the vast expansion of his chest. His skin was tattooed from one shoulder to the other. She focused on the pulse thumping at the side of his neck. Her lips closed over his skin and she tasted his sweat as her lips dragged down from his throat to his chest. She leaned toward it and pressed her mouth over the spot. She could feel his heartbeat on her tongue.

Closing her eyes, she heard a zipper opening. She felt him lift his hips and then she felt his hands at her waist. Then she felt the cool air on her skin as he drew her jeans off.

When they were both naked, Bear pushed her carefully onto her back. He rose above her and lowered himself to lay between her legs. His mouth settled over hers and he showed her pleasure in his kisses. His hands reached down and touched her breasts, squeezing and rubbing on them.

Lacey lifted her hips and rubbed against him. She felt Bear lower himself down to her belly. His tongue licked and sucked on her breasts. She hissed when he pulled her nipple into his mouth. Then he moved over to the other breast and suckled the other nipple into his mouth. His tongue and teeth brushed over her hard bud and the fire inside her grew hotter.

Then he went lower kissing her belly and coming to a stop at her womanhood. His fingers parted her damp lower lips and his mouth found her hidden button. She groaned and lifted her hips searching for release.

Bear growled and licked at her pussy. Then he reached up and gently pushed his fingers deep inside her. His fingers slid into her body easily. “God, you’re so tight.”

“Please I need more,” she whimpered.

“You aren’t ready yet,” he whispered close to her skin. He added a second finger to her core and pumped them in and out. His teeth closed around her clit and she screamed his name as she came. He could feel her spasms but didn’t stop pumping his fingers. He was building her up again, then suddenly he rose over her and placing his hard cock at her entrance, he pushed himself into her slowly but steadily.

He paused when he hit her barrier but Lacey wrapped her legs around his ass and pulled him in. His cock ripped through her innocence and beyond.

Lacey lifted her hips and met his every thrust. The fire grew out of control threatening to burn her from the inside out. She felt wave after wave of pleasure roll through her, each one giving her more pleasure than the last. Finally, something broke inside of her and she screamed his name.

Her body closed around his and Bear felt like he was finally home. Such a peace surrounded him that he couldn’t believe it for a moment. Then he pulled out and surged back into her willing body. Bear felt each pulse of his climax take him higher and higher. He gave one last push and they both exploded at the same time.

When he was done, he was exhausted. Rolling off her, he brought her to rest on top of him. Looking up at her, he kissed her gently. “Are you okay? Was I too rough? Did I hurt you?”

Lacey smiled down at him. Pressing her mouth over his she kissed his mouth wildly. “I’m fine, better than fine. That was wonderful.”

Bear smiled. “That was only the beginning. There is so much more to discover.”

“I can’t wait,” she murmured. Pressing tiny kisses along his neck she asked, “Can we do that again?”

Bear stilled as he stared at her face, her eyes were bright, and for the first time, he saw happiness in her gaze. He shook his head and laughed as he held her tight to his body.

  Chapter Eight

  Evening of day twenty six…

Five very tired and hungry men came into the compound just as the sun was setting. Storm clouds had been moving in all afternoon and you could almost smell the rain in the air. The storm might or might not let loose some much needed rain in the area or wait until it pushed out of range. Everyone inside gathered on the porch to watch as the five men walked from the parking lot to the main house.

When they entered the main room, Swede had a bottle of Black Velvet and some glasses waiting for them. Pappy, Dewey and the others enjoyed a drink before they spoke.

“We found the Lila, exactly where you said it would be.” He glanced over at Lacey when he spoke, “We found four blue containers aboard and turned them over to hazmat. We also found satellite coordinates for ten possible drop sights. When we checked them out nine more containers were found. What we didn’t find was Leroy or the tenth container. He never came back to the boat while we were there.”

“Did you hear anything on the barrels in the swamps?” Trudy asked.

Dewey nodded. “Shay put some boats in there and found some of the barrels. It’s going to take several more day’s maybe weeks to gather them all, but he’s working on it.”

“Thank god for that,” Lacey exclaimed softly. “Wait a minute, you didn’t find Leroy? Not at all?”

Pappy shook his head. “We never saw him.”

Lacey began to shake. She looked over at Bear and her fear level rose. “Oh god, oh god, oh god…” she whispered. “He’s coming for me.”

Bear pulled her into his arms and tried to reassure her. “He won’t come here. He’s not that stupid.”

“You d-don’t understand,” she cried out as she tried to crawl up his body. “He’ll come here to get back at everyone living here. You all stopped his plans and he’ll make you pay for that.”

“We can prepare for that,” Pappy assured her. “We can lock down this place so tight, no one will get inside without us knowing about it.”

Both Phoebe and Lacey shook their heads.

“Locks can’t keep him out. He can pick any lock out there,” Lacey told them.

“I’ve seen him do just that,” Phoebe added. “He’s been getting out of locked rooms since he was a kid. Old man Rawling tried to lock him in the closet all the time but the next morning, Leroy wouldn’t be there when he unlocked the door. He got more than one beating for that. Then Leroy got bigger and stronger than Rawling and the old man quit.”

“So we have to be better than Leroy.” Pappy shrugged. “We’ve got security and cameras all over this compound. We’ll see him coming long before he gets close to us.” Glancing at Lacey, he said, “Our families live here too. We aren’t just doing this to protect you. We have to protect our wives and kids too.”

Lacey nodded from the safety of Bear’s embrace. As long as his arms were around her, the fear didn’t overwhelm her so much.

When Pappy ordered the men to tighten down the place, everyone scattered to do what they could to secure the compound. Additional monitors were brought into the main room to monitor the outside. Cameras were activated and the front gates were locked. Everyone buttoned down inside the fence. Pappy ordered the men to go home and protect their families. The three women they found in the silo were guarded by two of the men there at one of the cabins nearby.

As night time fell, everyone inside the main house was tense. They were playing a waiting game with a mad man. To distract them Pappy asked Trudy and Jim, “Did you find anything we can use against this bastard?”

“We found and froze his bank accounts,” Jim told him.

  “Accounts?” Pappy questioned.

“We found three separate accounts, one of which was under Lacey’s name.” Jim nodded. “There was seven million dollars all together.”

“Can the hack be traced?” Pappy asked.

Trudy shook her head. “He’s too good for that.”

“Good to know.” Glancing over at them he asked, “Anything else?”

“We tracked his contact list and turne
d it over to the police. They’ve arrested ninety per cent of his contacts on terrorism charges. The word is out that he’s got nowhere and nobody to hide him or give him aid.” Jim smiled.

“I have a feeling he doesn’t need anyone to hide him.” Pappy shook his head. “He’s had years to plan this mission and he’s always been one step ahead of us.’ He went over to where Lacey was sitting at the table with Bear. Squatting down, he looked at her and asked, “Does your brother have any other places he would go to hide out? Somewhere he might be able to spend a few days and not be found by the police or anyone looking for him?”

Lacey raised a shaky hand to brush her hair out of her face. “Leroy never talked about his business in front of me. He took a lot of trips that took him away from the silo for days and weeks at a time but he never told me where he was. The only places he ever took me were the house that belonged to his father and the silo. I knew about his boat the Lila because that’s what he used to take me to West Virginia. That’s all I know.”

Phoebe came over to where Pappy was. “I don’t know if he still uses it or not but there was an abandoned warehouse in Chicago he stayed at after he left the Rawling house.”

“Chicago isn’t near enough to the river systems he uses. The main rivers he would use would be either the Ohio or the Mississippi,” Dewey announced to the room. “If he saw us and followed us back down here, he would be using the Mississippi. By now, he’s on the Sabine River, if he followed us at all.”

Pappy got to his feet again, and ran his hands through his hair. “Ok, we aren’t any further ahead than we were before. We also can’t discount the fact he might have followed us back here. I suggest we all get whatever sleep we can and pick this up again, in the morning. Looking down, at Lacey he said, “We got eyes on the fence and people walking the perimeter. You and the others are safe enough for tonight.”

Lacey nodded but didn’t say anything. Bear got to his feet and pulled her to hers. They went down the hall to the bedroom and closed the door behind them. “You’ll be safe tonight.”

Lacey shook her head. “I won’t be safe until Leroy is gone. He won’t stop coming after me until one of us is dead.” She went over to him and laid her hand on his chest. “I know you will protect me from him but I don’t want to lose you. You mean a lot to me and I couldn’t bear to lose you. Not to him. I’d rather he just killed me than hurt anyone here.”

“He won’t get inside the walls of the compound, let alone anywhere near you or the other women,” Bear assured her. “What else can I do to make you understand that?”

“Make me forget he’s out there.”

“I can do that.” Bear smiled. He reached out and pulled her closer as his mouth covered hers. He quickly undressed them both and laid her down on the bed. When his hand went to her core he wasn’t surprised to find her already wet for him. Pushing his hard cock into her, he covered her pleasure filled scream with his mouth. Swallowing it up, he moved in her. Moving in and out of her sweet passage, she met his thrusts with thrusts of her own. Then he pulled out and turned her on her hands and knees. Pushing his cock back inside her, he felt her tightening her core. Pistoning in and out he felt the zing along his spine and knew he wouldn’t last much longer.

Reaching down for her clit, he rubbed it then felt her lose control. He yelled as he came inside her. Collapsing on top of her, he pressed her into the mattress for a moment. When he rolled off, she moaned.

“How do you do that?” she asked him.

“It’s called making love sweetheart and everybody does it.” Bear chuckled.

“I’ve only done it with you,” she reminded him. “I can’t imagine doing that with anyone else.”

Bear leaned over her. “You’d better not do that with anyone else.” He growled. “I’m good with only me.”

Lacey smiled. Reaching up, she cupped his jaw. “Only with you big guy. I don’t want anyone else.”

Bear leaned down and kissed her. “Wanna do it again?” He wiggled his eyebrows.

“As many times as I can.” She laughed softly.

“Batter up,” he whispered as he ground his hard cock against her hip.

“Play ball,” she whispered in his ear.

Bear laid there staring at the ceiling while Lacey slept in his arms. They had made love long into the night and when he should have been sleeping, he knew he wouldn’t close his eyes tonight. For some reason, her nervousness had passed over to him. He tried to think of different scenarios but he didn’t think he could imagine the way Leroy thought. He’d never been around anyone that crazy before.

Suddenly something passed the window and he caught the movement from the corner of his eye. Turning his head, he reached down to his clothing slowly and grabbed a hold of his gun. Bringing it up to his chest, he reached down again and grabbed his cell phone. He dialed a number he knew by heart and when his brother answered he whispered, “We got shadows.”

“Ok, I’ll have a look around.”

Bear got up and snuck over to the window. He squatted down and searched the area outside. The shadows didn’t move and for a moment, he thought maybe he’d been seeing things. The storm they were expecting earlier finally arrived. Lightning flashed in the distance and thunder roared. The rain was steady and strong but that didn’t help him see what was there and what wasn’t there.

He had to wait and watch. He glanced quickly over to the bed and saw Lacey was still sleeping peacefully. He brought his eyes back to the window and beyond. He felt his phone vibrating and when he checked the caller ID he saw it was Swede. “What did you find?” he whispered.

“You were right. We had movement out there. We can’t see who but someone was sneaking around. We’ve checked with the guards and no one saw anything. They’re looking for him now.”

“You need to make sure the other women are guarded. I’ll keep watch over Lacey. We have to keep this on the down low. I don’t want Lacey to be worried about her brother breaking in here. The rain will wipe out any footprints, so we won’t be able to track him that way.”

“At daylight, we’ll check out the compound,” Swede promised him.

“Does Pappy know about this?” Bear asked.

“Yeah, as soon as you called me, I talked to him. He checked the cameras and we saw the shadows together. He doesn’t want the women to know about this either. He claims no good could come from them thinking he was as close as he might be.” His brother sighed and said, “I don’t think anyone is getting any sleep tonight.”

“Ok, check back with me closer to daybreak.” Bear ended the phone call and kept his eyes searching the darkness outside. After a few minutes, he heard a sound he was familiar with. He called his brother again. “He’s on the roof.”

Swede grunted and ended the call. A few moments later, Bear heard a scuffle above his head. The sounds seemed to echo above the sound of the rain storm. When it was quiet again, he waited for what seemed like forever before his phone pinged. Looking down he read the text from his brother that said, “We got him.”

He stood and walked over to the door. Opening it quietly, he went down the hall and into the main room. He saw six men standing around one very wet very crazy man on his knees with a bloody face. His arms were pulled back and tied behind him.

Bear came closer to where they were and knelt down to stare into Leroy’s face. He could see the madness in the other man’s eyes.

“Who the fuck are you?” Leroy snarled.

  “I’m your worst nightmare.”

Leroy looked at him carefully then said, “You weren’t one of the men on the boat in St. Louis, what business do we have together?”

“I was at the silo, you asshole.” Bear snarled. “I carried your sister out of that hell hole.”

Leroy sneered. “How is that traitorous bitch? Is she here? Is she how you found me? Damn, I knew I should have killed her a long time ago.” He nodded, “I took care of the other three already, she was the only one left. I was going to hunt her down afte
r I took care of the men on the boat. Now I don’t have to look too far to find her do I?”

Bear slammed his fist into Leroy’s face and didn’t bat an eye when the other man hit the floor unconscious. He stood up and reared back his foot to slam it into the other man’s ribs. Swede got in between him and the downed man but didn’t touch his brother. “That’s enough Bear. He isn’t gonna feel it anyway.”

Bear glared at his brother with bloodlust in his eyes then remembered where he was. He looked down at the hunting knife in his hands and couldn’t remember how it got there. Then he looked around the room seeing the fear on the faces of the women in the group. Every man had a weapon in his hand but didn’t have them raised against him. Bear took a deep breath and slowly replaced the knife in his hands to the sheath at his waist. Then he raised his hands and turned around to face everyone.

“I’m sorry but he deserves that and so much more. I’ve listened to Lacey cry out in her sleep for three very long nights for him to stop beating her and other atrocities he done to her over the years,” Bear told the group. Glaring at Pappy, he told the other man, “When you secure him make sure you separate his hands. The girls told us earlier tonight he can pick any lock and if you leave him loose, he’ll escape.”

  “He’s right.” Swede nodded.

“Strip him down to his tidy whities and chain him to a bed. I don’t want to give him any chance to escape. Put a guard in the room with him and another on the door. Eyes on him at all times.” Pappy ordered. “Oh and stuff a sock in his mouth. I don’t want Lacey to hear his yelling threats at her now that he knows she’s here with us.” Looking over at Dewey, he ordered, “You’d better go check on the other women we found in the silo. He claims he got to them already.”
