Was that jealousy? Possessiveness? More crazy Fae behaviour?
“Falin?” I said, reaching up to whisper in his ear. He bent down for me, quite accommodating, and never saw the wet finger I quickly sucked and stuck in his ear.
“Arrg!” He made the same aggrieved noise as when I had blown my Bubblicious up in his face.
I fell back, reverse commando crawling away.
Eloden grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me against his chest from behind. “You’re going to pay for that,” Eloden warned me, but he couldn’t keep the laughter from his voice.
Even Orin was snickering from the top of the bed, trying to smother it in the pillow.
Dain cleared his throat. Kheelan copied him.
“You deserved it,” Aeric said.
Falin growled and his eyes lit up on Aeric. If he could breathe flames I was sure they would be pouring from his mouth right now.
“Aeric!” Kheelan said, smacking his brother upside the head. “Keep out of it.”
“I’ll be holding her for the rest of the Marks,” Falin said, dismissing Aeric.
“No way,” I said.
“Not asking your permission, Baby.”
“He wants to touch you while they’re placed. It won’t hurt,” Dain explained. “It will ease you both.”
“I don’t need easing,” I said.
“Taming,” Falin insisted.
“Too rough for you, Baby?” I retorted.
“Eloden, make your bargain now,” Dain ordered.
“Same as Orin?” proposed Eloden, bending down to nip my ear.
“No,” I refused, already feeling the difference between his touch and the Light Fae. Warmth tingled all over my body, tiny shocks like Eloden had rubbed my body briskly all over the top of my clothes, creating a little static electricity. I needed to be more careful when I bargained with Eloden.
“No?” repeated Eloden. Refusal probably wasn’t something the seductive fox heard often.
“You’re the one that said I should consider the particulars of that Fae bargain more carefully.”
He groaned against my neck. “What do you want?
“I need to think about it,” I said, trying to dislodge him with a good wiggle.
Eloden slipped a hand under my chin and tipped my head way back. “Gonna taste you, Sweetheart,” he said, kissing me from behind. His eyes promised more than a kiss.
His chin was rough as it rubbed against my cheek, his mouth opening over mine, so he could lick my lips. I tentatively met his tongue, wanting a taste of my own. The warmth over my body was replaced by fire, and I moaned into his mouth. It was almost painful, too fast as fire licked its way down from where his hand held my shoulders to tease my nipples. I thrust my body away from his, trying to ease the burn, only to hit another hard chest.
“I warned you to keep your distance from the fox,” Falin grumbled, his hands grabbing me around the waist and then travelling up and up. He finally rested his hands under my breasts, his touch burning even hotter than anything Eloden had done to me.
I broke from Eloden’s kiss. “Too hot,” I said.
“Complains the Halfling we’re going to eat up? Do you want us to undress you to cool you down?” Eloden asked, licking and nipping his way along my jaw.
I tried to twist away from their hands and Eloden’s mouth, but they had me trapped. “Okay, Orin’s bargain,” I said, desperate.
Eloden licked his way down my neck, swirling his tongue against the notch of my clavicle as I twisted against his unbreakable hold on my shoulders. “Are you sure you don’t want more time to think about the particulars, Sweetheart?”
“Mark her, fox,” Falin said.
I screamed this time. My whole body tensed as a bolt of energy jolted me like lightning. Falin’s hands shifted up to cup my breasts, thumbs rubbing my nipples roughly. I had thought he was going to pet me or some other soothing gesture.
“Hurts,” I whined, not caring if I seemed like a baby. The ache was travelling between my legs and I squeezed my thighs shut on the discomfort. I recognized the arousal from my own playful forays with my fingers in my bathtub but I had never felt it because of someone else before, or so intense. If I climaxed would I be able to keep it quiet?
Falin kissed me hard and fast. He kept his tongue to himself, sucking my bottom lip into his mouth to punish with his teeth after he rubbed his piercing against it, more pleasant friction than the painful lightning finally easing from my body as I focused on Falin’s hands and mouth. My tight core spasmed in contrast, needing Falin’s fingers elsewhere.
“It’s done,” Eloden said. He licked his bite, still holding my shoulders. Falin ended the kiss, sliding his hands back down to my waist. I sucked in a breath and realized they were done and I wasn’t going to finish.
“You suck at this,” I complained.
“Which one of us sucks, Baby?” Falin asked, now rubbing his hands up and down my sides in a soothing motion.
“Both of you. Eloden made it hurt and then you made it hurt more,” I said, too embarrassed now Falin’s mouth was off me to say out loud that he had left me wanting.
As much as I hated how the Fae took control over everything, there was something to be said for a guy that kissed you senseless without checking every few seconds if you were still on board. The Fae all knew I had a mouth and could use it to say no, and right now my body really wanted to say yes.
“The power exacts a price,” Kheelan said, drawing my attention from the study of Falin’s lip ring. “Eloden was drained already, so he couldn’t hold it back for you.”
I twisted around as much as the two Fae holding me would allow, looking at him. Was he next in line? “Not yet,” I said. I needed a minute more for a figurative cigarette. My orgasm had been damn close enough to deserve one.
“Afterglow?” Aeric asked.
“Shut up,” I told him.
“I bet you didn’t feel a thing when I Marked you, Brat.”
Aeric would lose the bet, but not for the reasons he was thinking.
“I distracted her for you,” Falin said.
Yes, he was plenty of distraction.
Orin snored from the head of the bed, already asleep, surprising me. That had been fast.
“Keep it down,” I hissed at them all. I finally felt my pussy ease from the arousal Falin and Eloden had fired up. I was obviously wet to myself but the others shouldn’t be able to guess how stimulating I had found my last Mark.
“Give her to me,” Kheelan said.
I wrapped my arms around Falin. “Not until you agree to two favours,” I said.
Kheelan sneered at me. “What did you ask of my brother in exchange for his Mark?”
“An arrow released by my own hand to hit the target,” I said.
“That was a worthless bargain, Princess,” Kheelan said. He might be calling me names, but he sounded shocked. “No matter how you are guided, it’s the hand that releases the arrow that determines its ultimate direction. You’ll have blisters on your precious hands by the time you practice with enough arrows to learn the subtleties of Fae archery. Unless you were given a handicap?”
“Forget it, asshole,” I said. “I wouldn’t let you Mark me if you were the last Fae standing between me and-”
Eloden covered my mouth.
“Mmfp,” I complained.
“Let’s not insult the powerful Fae about to eat you for dessert,” Eloden suggested. He released my mouth.
I looked Kheelan up and down again. He didn’t look any more powerful than the rest of them, other than perhaps, Orin. Pretty boy was a bit of a lightweight in strength, but who needed muscles when he could control the mind?
“I already have four Marks, surely that’s enough?”
“I’ll pay the favours for my brother,” Aeric said, coming closer.
I would look like a greedy bitch if I turned him down. Aeric had already proven himself trustworthy when it came to delivering on a bargain.
“Agreed,”
I said before Kheelan could object. I was going to make those favours count this time.
“What did I tell you about making deals with Fae?” Falin said, carrying me since I was wrapped around him, knee-walking us to get off the bed.
“You said Dark Fae,” I reminded him. It was his own deal with me he had warned me about, ironically.
“Light Fae are even trickier than the dark,” he said. “They think their beauty will fool bargainers into accepting less favourable terms.”
I stared at Kheelan over Falin’s shoulder. “Beauty never impressed me much.”
Kheelan stared back at me. “It’s a good thing you don’t put much stock in beauty, Princess, since you’re such a dark, little mouse that scurries from place to place, living your life in fear.”
He had just called me a rodent and a coward.
“Don’t mistake caution for fear or think that your size will always give you an advantage,” I warned him.
Kheelan looked over at his brother. “Bind her,” he ordered.
I hugged Falin tight. “No,” I said. “I agreed to do this willingly.”
“The method of your submission was not outlined in the terms,” Kheelan said.
“You’re such a bastard,” I swore. He didn’t react to my assessment at all, coldly waiting for Aeric to do as ordered.
“You agreed to the terms,” Falin said, sounding apologetic. He turned and handed me to Aeric.
“Are you going to cuff me?” I asked Aeric, very sulky.
“I’ll use magic,” he said. “The Marking can be uncomfortable. Binding is traditional,” he added, trying to explain.
“I’m not surprised if you go around biting girls for fun like a vampire.”
“There is very little blood consumed,” Eloden said. He was sitting at the edge of the bed observing us argue about how to complete this Mark.
“You drank my blood!” I exclaimed. I was being sarcastic earlier. I wiggled out of Aeric’s hold and he set me down on my feet.
“Stupid fox,” Falin muttered.
“Your Fae healing and our saliva will prevent any scarring from the fangs,” Dain said. His deep voice startled me. He was standing much closer than a few seconds ago.
“Where're your fangs?” I asked. I remembered my own in the forest, but my teeth were back to normal now. They had been incredibly sharp, yet small. “Do all Fae have fangs?” I added, figuring I might get more answers than earlier.
“No, not all Fae. Show her yours, Aeric,” ordered Dain.
It was prudent of Dain to keep his own fangs under wraps until after I let him bite my neck. I turned back around and Aeric opened his mouth. He was a lot taller with both of us standing in bare feet, but I could tell his incisors were a longer and sharper than human.
“I want to touch them,” I said.
Aeric closed his mouth. “Stop delaying things,” he said. “Give me your hands.”
“Bind her to the post,” Kheelan ordered.
I offered up my hands, palms displayed to Aeric. “Better bind me tight. We wouldn’t want the mouse to turn around and bite the big, ferocious Fae,” I said.
Eloden laughed. Aeric grabbed my hands and furiously whispered, “No biting,” to me. Eloden’s laughter kept the warning just between the two of us.
So, this was still a one-way street.
The cool feel of Aeric’s magic looped around one of my wrists and then the other, a white glow like the angelic one he had given off in my car encasing my hands. I tried pulling them apart to no avail. This was better than a rope. The harder I pulled, the colder my hands felt.
“Stop playing with the magic,” Aeric said, sounding strained. He had spent a long time in the car today, I reminded myself.
“If you can’t bind her yourself, you shouldn’t be allowed to Mark her,” Falin said.
“Aeric took part of the bargain by agreeing to the favours, so he may apply the binding,” Dain said. His word was final, of course.
“Reach up,” Aeric said, guiding me to the post. He made me stretch until I was on my tiptoes and fastened my magic-bound wrists near the top of the closest post of my bed. I immediately felt vulnerable but refused to look over my shoulder, staring holes through my post instead.
“Did you do the braids?” Kheelan asked, stepping closer behind me. A frightened arousal overtook me, clenching my thighs again with a cool shiver as I felt Kheelan’s cool magic even from the inches that still separated us. My body was crazy to want to tangle with someone like Kheelan. It had to be leftover arousal from earlier. I didn’t like Kheelan.
“Yes, I braided her before placing my Mark,” Aeric answered.
“Good,” Kheelan said. “You almost look like a Fae, Halfling,” he told me, tugging on one of my braids, before wrapping it around his hand.
“Are you going to make it hurt on purpose?” I asked.
He licked my neck, close to his brother’s Mark.
“No,” Kheelan said. “I’m not able to make it as painless as Aeric, however, so if you wish, I will permit him to distract you as Falin did with Eloden.”
Aeric didn’t wait for me to ask or even to seek permission. He bent over me and kissed my lips, just our mouths touching. I could turn away if I wanted, but as Kheelan licked my neck again, I decided I really would rather be kissing Aeric than thinking about Kheelan’s Mark.
We awkwardly frenched. I was sure the position was almost painful for Aeric, leaning over so far due to my shortness and the bedpost in the way, but he patiently held himself over my mouth, opening and letting me explore.
Last time, he had spent more time learning my new fangs and I hadn’t really noticed his own, although now that I realized how small they were and almost hidden, I knew to purposefully search them out. They were sharp as well, so I was careful. It reassured me to know some of the Fae were the same as me and my fangs didn’t make me defective. I still wondered why they had to be a secret.
Kheelan bit me slowly. Unlike the others, I noticed the pressure of his teeth, or maybe, it was because now I knew what to expect. His magic burned icy down my neck and spine, raising goosebumps all over my skin. My nipples budded with the cold sensation, aching against my lacy bra, almost hurting at the same time Kheelan’s magic intensified, riding the edge between painful and incredibly pleasurable.
I gasped into Aeric’s mouth.
Kheelan’s hands slipped under my shirt, cold fingers skimming over my belly and ribs to dance along the edge of my lacy bra. I gasped again, and he cupped my breasts over the bra, squeezing once and then tugging the cups down so my breasts popped free, nipples stabbing my t-shirt, rough fabric feeling like wool against the sensitive flesh.
This time when I gasped, Aeric released my lips, head going down to my chest for his mouth to engulf the closest nipple through my shirt and he sucked.
“Aeric!” I shrieked. I had never felt anything like it.
Kheelan released my neck and licked his Mark. The magic still felt icy there, lingering compared to the other bites. Maybe it was because he took longer, or he had bitten me deeper. I couldn't pay attention, anyway, all my focus on the Fae latched onto my breasts. Aeric released the first nipple and moved onto the next, giving it the same treatment. As cool as his magic and touch felt, his mouth was hot, and the contrast was mind-blowingly good.
Kheelan thumbed the nipple Aeric had sucked first, rubbing the wet shirt all around it as the fabric cooled, then pinching it between his thumb and finger. I shrieked his name this time as I met Falin’s dark eyes, staring at my pointed nub caught between Kheelan’s fingers. Aeric finally released the second nipple.
“No more,” I said before Kheelan could toy with it, too.
Three steps and Falin elbowed his way between the brothers, grabbing me around the hips and lifting me into his arms, his other hand reaching up to my bound hands and clawing beside them on the post, releasing the magic. I dropped into his arms. He stepped back, cradling me against his chest, ignoring my wet nipples pressed against him.<

“She was not yours to unbind,” Kheelan said, sounding angry.
“My Mark was on her first,” Falin said. “She does not belong solely to you.”
“I belong to myself,” I grumbled against his shoulder.
Orin’s snore was the only response to my declaration of independence. I clung to Falin with desperation, knowing exactly who was left. Dain wouldn’t settle for a simple Mark on my neck.
He wanted my soul.
Chapter 15:
FALIN MADE A SOOTHING sound almost inaudible. I felt it as a warm breath that tickled my hair as he bussed my head like a child reluctant to leave the safety of her parent’s lap.
“She’s exhausted,” Dain commented. “Falin sit with her on your lap and I will quickly place my Mark.”
I made a tiny, distressed whimper. I think only Falin noticed. He bussed me again and patted me on the back. When Falin sat, I stayed wrapped around his waist, face buried on his shoulder.
“What about the bargain?” I asked, trying to delay it.
“Don’t bargain with Dain. You’ll come out the worst for it. Just let him give you the Mark.”
Dain sat beside us, bed dipping so my one knee brushed up against his hip. Warmth immediately climbed up my leg.
“If you want to bargain, you must face me,” Dain said.
I shivered against Falin. Perhaps he was right. Bargaining hadn’t been getting me everything I wanted. It wasn’t the same as a wish.
“Run to your hidey-hole, little Mouse,” Kheelan whispered.
I ignored him, lifted my head and met Dain’s golden gaze. If I asked for my favour right away and made it something simple, I wouldn’t have to give the Mark away for free. It didn’t seem right to give in. I wanted these Fae to think of me in less cowardly terms than a mouse.
“She’s going to bargain,” Eloden predicted. He was leaning near the wall by the window, moonlight finally entering the room enough to bring out the fire in his hair, dark embers as he shifted position to cross his arms.
“Don’t bargain,” Aeric pleaded with me.
“Before we bargain,” I said, hearing Aeric groan, “I want to know more about your Mark.”
