"It shall not, my darling. There are many more adventures yet to be had." His eyes darkened, wickedness lighting his blue orbs. "More adventures inside our bedroom," he said, pulling her slowly from the balcony.
Victoria allowed him to persuade her, laughing at his words. "Should we not venture outdoors and see some of this great city?"
He continued walking her toward the bed. "The city has been here for hundreds of years. It can wait another day."
And it did wait, for two days in fact. But the wait was worth it, as were all their adventures together.
