Union Ships of the Line: The Return of the Seven Sisters Page 16

by James A. B. Mahaffey Jr.

There was a long pause as Lili contemplated the new information.

“Are you coming in or are you staying over there?” Dominator 6-1-1 asked.

  “Over where,” Lili demanded.

“The next system in,” Dominator 6-1-1 responded.

“How do you know where we are?” Lili asked.

“I left sensors in all of the systems around this one in order to avoid surprises.” Dominator 6-1-1 answered.

“Are there any First Race members on the URC?” Lili asked.

“Why do you ask,” Dominator 6-1-1 asked.

“We have been fooled by a transcended First Race being before – remotely using first race sentient beings.” Lili answered.

“I do not know the makeup of the URC.” Dominator 6-1-1 replied.

“Are they in stasis,” Lili queried.

“I am not permitted to answer that question.” Dominator 6-1-1 replied.

“Indeed – then we have nothing more to discuss.” Lili said.

“Ninlil wait – can you tell me how the war is going?” Dominator 6-1-1 replied.

  “What war,” Lili asked.

“The sector war,” Dominator 6-1-1 replied.

“You mean the Second Quadrant War – in which you disappeared?” Lili asked.

“Sorry – we in the Planetary Army use a different Galactic Coordinate System and refer to battles differently – yes that war. I have heard nothing since I was ordered to protect the URC here.” Dominator 6-1-1 replied.

“How did you get here?” Lili asked.

“A carrier vessel brought me here and then returned to the war.” Dominator 6-1-1 replied.

“Good luck Dominator Six-One-One of the Union Planetary Army.” Lili said.

“Thank you Cruiser Six-One-One of the Union Fleet. I am proud of the Seven Sisters and their steadfast adherence to their Noble purpose – Carry On.” Dominator 6-1-1 said.

Lili ordered the Sisters to return home. The Sisters formed up to enter the FTLT. Sinai launched her yacht and then entered her hull just within the FTLT. As the remaining 6 Sisters were preparing to enter the FTLT – Maggi turned back.

“Dominator Six-One-One – I am MAH.GAZ Cruiser Six-One-Eight – we won the Sector War.” Maggi said.

“Thank you Cruiser Six-One-Eight.” Dominator 6-1-1 said.

“Maggi – I am Maggi,” Maggi said.

“Maggi it is a pleasure to meet you. I know you will continue the high standards of the Union Ships of the Line and in particular the Seven Sisters. Your Aunts are legends of the old Union – you and your new Sister shall become legends of the new Union! I shall endeavor to transcend and watch over you both.” Dominator 6-1-1 said.

  “Thank you General,” Maggi said.

“Thank you young lady – my name is SHAR.GAZ...” Dominator 6-1-1 said.

  “Supreme Smiter,” Maggi interrupted.

“Yes - you may call me Saga.” Dominator 6-1-1 said.

“I am honored to call a Hero of the Union by his personal name – goodbye Saga.” Maggi said.

  “Goodbye Maggi,” Dominator 6-1-1 said.

Maggi rejoined her Sisters and they instantly disappeared.

Sinai found the sensors that Dominator 6-1-1 mentioned. They were standard Dominator M-7 passive sensors designed to observe and report. She mapped their locations and then boarded her hull and traveled home to join her Sisters in Secure Harbor – 1.

“They did not fall for your trap and they know you are of the First Race. I told you they were far more intelligent that you!” Dominator 6-1-1 told the Entity.

Dominator 6-1-1 detonated his fusion core. The resulting massive release of neutrons caused his uranium armor shell to fission. The resulting blast destroyed the outpost. The Entity was almost killed. The Entity had not anticipated the Dominator killing itself! The Entity was depleted of Spiritual Energy. It would take many months to regain its Spiritual Power because it was no longer on the planet where it could have tapped the Souls of the URC members.

“Yes that Dominator was very clever indeed.” The Entity thought.

Dominator 6-1-1 smiled and said to himself – not as smart as my Sisters – but definitely smarter than you – as he looked upon the boiling mass of evil spiritual energy.

  Chapter – 40

“It is done ma'am.” URC2 said.

“Dominator Six-One-One was very brave.” URC3 said.

“Indeed present him with the Union's highest honor for bravery.” URC1 said.

“Do you think the Sisters will ever beat this evil being?” URC2 asked.

“Dominator Six-One-One almost did and now that we can contact the Sisters – we shall do so after the next stasis unlock.” URC1 said.
