Ellen explains that they will all be trialled for their presence there on Impala and this will look favourably on them.
Fae and the crew all return to the portal and then on to the path and this time instead of avoiding it they all walk on it and immediately portals open and Ellen and the elvish imperial guard all walk out of the portal.
As the elves all surround the crew their attention is immediately taken to the Wyvern Wraith that makes a horrendous noise and starts to descend toward the elves now ready to take to it with their arrows.
This doesn’t kill the wraith but defiantly delays it enough for everyone to enter the portal in order of usefulness.
The guards all enter in swoops at the end because it takes up the entire arch over the path which is quite large.
Ellen cringes until the portal closes behind them due to the fact that if it came through they would all be dead.
The wraith doesn’t follow them possibly because it doesn’t like the look of a portal.
Ellen explains that it is ancient magic from when the Intrim was created that controls the portal and how long it stays open for an she knows they were very lucky that they all got through in time.
The Escape
The Crew and Fae all get thrown in jail back at Shaan and await their trial.
Fae kept a small marsupial in her pocket and it is so small it goes unnoticed.
The new familiar comes in handy and she gets it to get the guards key on his chain and drag it to the cell door and escapes into the night and the under cover of the thieves guild an underground of sewers await as she decides even though the crew will look good after uncovering a nest of vampires on Imparla they would still be harshly punished by the crown.
They being human will be looked on as only humans in an unknown land and not to know the rules and laws of the day.
Fae seeks out Imagine as she left the crew some time ago having found treasures to fence in Shaan and was in the sewers with amen in their old dingy room un-be-known to the crown and guards in the city above.
